The rehabilitation of pediatric patients with oncology diseases localized in the maxillofacial area is a complex and long-term process. Most frequently, the resection area involves the maxilla or the mandible, which, in turn, impairs the functioning of the whole dentofacial system. The restoration of the integrity of the facial structures is the key task in the treatment of such patients. One of the main materials used for reconstructing the jaws is the titanium alloy. However, despite its beneficial properties and characteristics, there is a high risk of inflammation, encapsulation or failure of the endoprosthesis. The aim of the research was to analyze the data available up to date on the methods of perfecting the surfaces of titanium endoprostheses based on the published research works. After analyzing the articles devoted to the modification of the surface of titanium constructions used for endoprosthetics, for the period from 2008 until 2022 (n=41), we came to a conclusion that the modification of the surface of titanium endoprostheses results in an increase in its osteointegration, which decreases the risks of failure for the constructions.

According to the World Health Organization, the global prevalence of complete tooth loss is estimated to be 7% among individuals aged 20 years and older, while for those aged 60 and over, this rate significantly increases to 23%. This study is relevant due to the psychological trauma, social challenges, and functional limitations caused by tooth loss, as well as the uneven availability of dental care worldwide. The goal of this research is to develop and implement a new model to assess the socioeconomic feasibility of investing in digital technologies for diagnosing and treating patients with complete tooth loss using removable polymer prostheses produced through additive 3D printing. The study employs scenario analysis, the clustered rankings coordination method, statistical methods, expert opinion assessment using Kendall’s coefficient of rank concordance, system analysis and design, questionnaires, sociometry, and functional modeling. The practical significance of this research lies in providing a quantitative assessment of economic opportunities for effectively using RPDs in three groups: RPDs without additional fixation means; those with special adhesive agents for improved fixation; and implant-supported prosthetics with conditionally removable dentures similar to RPDs. The scientific novelty of this study is the development of a new evaluation model that justifies the choice of prosthetic treatment technology for patients with complete tooth loss, enabling the most rational use of resources. Objective. Currently, for the development of Valanginian and other deeplying (compared to the Cenomanian) deposits, low-temperature separation (LTS) units with turboexpander units (TDA) are used, and the booster compressor station (BCS) is one of the key technological facilities necessary to ensure the efficient operation of promising technologies for gas preparation using the NTS method with TDA turboexpander units for transport. The purpose of the study is to substantiate optimal operating modes, as well as to develop measures for the technological development of a booster compressor station based on the use of methods for modeling the operation of centrifugal compressors, gas pumping units and, directly, the booster compressor station. Method. The following methods were used: the method of reduced characteristics, the refined method of reduced characteristics, and the two-dimensional approximation method. The basis of the mathematical model of the research objects is the gas-dynamic characteristics of centrifugal compressors. Result. The results of a comparison of methods for modeling HDC (reduced characteristics method, refined method of reduced characteristics, two-parameter approximation method) of high-pressure pulp and paper mills are presented using the example of a pulp and paper mill with a pressure ratio of up to 1.9...2.1, intended for equipping gas compressor units with a unit power of 16.0 MW as part of field operations. DKS. An analysis and comparison of the obtained modeling results with actual data was carried out. Conclusion. The accuracy of the mathematical model of the GDC PPM as part of the field booster compressor stations that ensure the operation of NTS installations with TDA determines the accuracy of the assessment of energy consumption and the technical condition of the gas pumping units, as well as calculations of future operating modes of gas pumping equipment, which are carried out to solve a number of applied problems, including determining the timing of equipment modernization or reconstruction of the station.

Background: Galectins are a family of β-galactoside binding proteins that regulate the vast majority of cellular functions, including proliferation, migration, adhesion, and phagocytosis in both health and disease. More and more experimental and clinical evidence indicates that galectins are involved in many stages of carcinogenesis, including patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Aim: To analyze the clinical significance of soluble forms of galectins -1, -3, -4, -7, -9 in patients with various histological RCC types. Materials and methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of the clinical significance of galectins -1, -3, -4, -7, -9 in the serum of 140 RCC patients (84 with clear cell RCC (ccRCC), 38 with papillary (papRCC), 18 with chromophobe (chrRCC)) and in 73 healthy donors (control group), who were examined and treated from 2019 to 2023 in the N. N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. Galectin levels were measured in serum (obtained according to standard methods before the initiation of specific treatment) with an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: There was a significant increase in serum galectin -1, -3, -9 levels in the whole RCC patient group, compared to the healthy donor control group; no increase was found for galectins -4 and -7. Serum galectin-1 levels in the ccRCC and papRCC patients were significantly higher than those in the controls (p = 0.0003 and p = 0.0135, respectively). No association between the serum galectins -1 and -7 and the clinical and morphological characteristics of RCC was found; however, serum galectin-7 levels in the papRCC patients correlated with the grade of tumor differentiation (r = -0.592; p = 0.001). The area under the ROC curve (AUC) for galectin-1 in ccRCC was 0.721 (p 0.0001), in papRCC 0.673 (p = 0.0086), and in chrRCC 0.576 (p = 0.355). For galectin-7, the ROC AUC values were 0.527 (p = 0.634) in ccRCC, 0.513 (p = 0.845) in papRCC, and 0.566 (p = 0.425) in chrRCC. In all histological types of RCC, there was a significant increase in serum galectin-3 compared to the controls (ccRCC, p = 0.0208; papRCC, p = 0.0014; chrRCC, p = 0.0041). The ROC analysis for galectin-3 in patients with RCC of various histological types showed AUC = 0.721 (p 0.0001) for ccRCC, 0.673 (p = 0.0086) for papRCC, and 0.576 (p = 0.355) for chrRCC. Galectin-9 levels was directly and significantly associated with the tumor size, as well as with regional metastases (r = 0.251, p = 0.021; r = 0.239, p = 0.028, respectively). The AUC values for galectin-4 were 0.619 (p = 0.021) in ccRCC, 0.577 (p = 0.214) in papRCC, and 0.534 (p = 0.666) for chrRCC. For galectin-9, they were 0.649 (p = 0.0075), 0.613 (p = 0.087), and 0.539 (p = 0.637), respectively. Conclusion: The study has demonstrated a certain association between serum galectin -1, -3, -4, -7, and -9 in the patients with RCC of various histological types. Although the results of the ROC analysis indicated average quality of the model, which does not allow for the use of the obtained data for diagnostic purposes, it is necessary to continue the research for better understanding of the mechanisms of galectin functioning, before galectin-based therapeutic agents would be introduced into clinical practice for the treatment of RCC.

Abstract The Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) exhibits geographic variability and phylogenetic intraspecific relationships. Previous morphological studies have suggested the existence of multiple lynx subspecies, but recent genetic research has questioned this classification, particularly in Central Asia. In this study, we aimed to analyse the geographic and genetic variation in Central Asian lynx populations, particularly the Turkestan lynx and Altai lynx populations, using morphometric data and mtDNA sequences to contribute to their taxonomic classification. The comparative analysis of morphometric data revealed limited clinal variability between lynx samples from the Altai and Tien Shan regions. By examining mtDNA fragments (control region and cytochrome b) obtained from Kazakhstani lynx populations, two subspecies were identified: L. l. isabellinus (represented by a unique haplotype of the South clade, H46) and L. l. wrangeli (represented by haplotypes H36, H45, and H47 of the East clade). L. l. isabellinus was recognized only in Tien Shan Mountain, while Altai lynx was likely identical to L. l. wrangeli and found in northern Kazakhstan, Altai Mountain, Saur and Tarbagatai Mountains, and Tien Shan Mountain. The morphological and mtDNA evidence presented in this study, although limited in sample size and number of genetic markers, renders the differentiation of the two subspecies challenging. Further sampling and compilation of whole-genome sequencing data are necessary to confirm whether the proposed subspecies warrant taxonomic standing.

Aim. To determine the features of hemostasis system disorders and the possibility of their correction in patients with arterial hypertension (AH) and multifocal atherosclerotic lesions (MFA) with risk factors indicated.Materials and methods. The study included 135 patients (mean age 53.7 ± 7.76 years), including 80 patients with controlled AH stage and II (group 1) and 55 patients with controlled AH stage III who had ischemic stroke (group 2). Among all patients studied, 33 patients (24.4 %) were smokers. All 135 patients received comparable antihypertensive, antiplatelettherapy (acetylsalicylic acid at a dose of 100 mg/day), had MFA and target lipid spectrum values.Results. Procoagulant shifts are noted already in patients with AH stage I and II, especially in the presence of smoking. Such indices of global thrombodynamics test as initial clot growth rate, average clot growth rate, clot size significantly exceed the reference values and indicate high prothrombogenic potential in patient with AH and MFA. Prescription of dual antiplatelet therapy allows normalization of identified disorders. Presence of risk factors (smoking) aggravates existing hemostasis disorders in patients with AH and MFA.Conclusion. Smoking cessation, optimization of risk factors and complex antihypertensive, hypolipidemic and antithrombotic therapy are the basis of treatment of patients with AH and MFA and can be considered as priority measures to reduce morbidity and mortality in this patient population.

Relevance. Tension-free herniolasty of the anterior abdominal wall is currently the accepted standard for large ventral hernia repairing. The implementation of this approach has been marked by a significant improvement in treatment outcomes. The issues of improving the quality of life of patients after surgery and their effective rehabilitation through the application of the optimal technique of tension-free hernioplasty are now at the forefront.Objective. To compare the immediate and long-term results of treatment of patients with large postoperative midline ven­tral hernias using anterior and posterior techniques of separation of abdominal wall components.Object and methods. 114 patients with large postoperative midline ventral hernias were divided into two groups: the patients of the first group (38 patients) underwent hernioplasty using the anterior separation technique, and the patients of the second group (76 patients) - posterior separation. We evaluated the immediate (complica­tions in the area of surgery, duration of surgical wound drainage and duration of hospitalization) and long-term (functional restoration of the abdominal wall) results of treatment with subsequent comparative analysis of data between the groups using descriptive statistics methods.Results. The present study is the first to compare the immediate and long-term results of using anterior and posterior techniques for separation of anterior abdominal wall components during surgery for midline ventral hernias. It was found that both variants demonstrate good immediate and long-term results in the treatment of patients with median postoperative ventral hernias of large size. At the same time, the anterior separa­tion technique is accompanied by a significantly higher number of complications and, accordingly, is characterized by a higher risk of their de­velopment, as well as requires a longer stay of the patient in the hospital.

Juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma is a benign, highly vascularized tumor that occurs mainly in children and young men of pubertal age 9-19 years old. Often manifested by difficulty in nasal breathing and nosebleeds. We report a 16-year-old boy with complaints of a complete absence of nasal breathing, nosebleeds, snoring, nasality, exophthalmos on the right side, visual impairment. undergoing therapeutic treatment for rhinosinusitis and adenoid vegetations for 5 months and an unsuccessful attempt at adenotomy in history. When contacting the Department of Oncology and Pediatric Surgery Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology according to imaging with contrast enhancement juvenile angiofibroma of the nasopharynx IVA stage to Fisch-Andrews with a 30 % increase in volume in 2 months. The patient was initiated on neoadjuvant therapy Sirolimus as part of a pilot phase of a prospective clinical trial. After 9 months of taking the drug, there is a reduction in the tumor by 37 %, restoration of vision, clinical and radiological improvement.

The design calculation of crane metal structures is usually performed according to load combinations, for which the dynamic coefficients are strictly defined in the regulatory documentation. In fact, these coefficients depend on the departure and the length of the suspension of the load, they are different when lifting loads of different weights. A review of the literature has revealed a clear gap in the studies of the dynamics of gantry cranes, which are characterized by a change in the characteristics of their design even during one cycle of their operation. In this paper, to study the influence of the parameters of the gantry crane system on the magnitude of the dynamism coefficients, a dynamic model consisting of the mass of the crane’s metal structure brought to the point of suspension of the load and the weight of the load is applied. The weight of the rope, the elasticity of the lifting mechanism, and the damping of vibrations are not taken into account, and the characteristic of the drive is considered absolutely rigid. A method for determining the parameters of a dynamic model such as structural rigidity, its reduced masses is presented, and the results of calculating the dynamism coefficients for the metal structure of a crane and a rope suspension under various parameters and operating modes are presented. Calculations for a gantry crane with a lifting capacity of 10 tons have shown that with small departures, the dynamic load coefficient in the rope is always less than for a metal structure, while its value is maximum. For large departures, the values of the dynamics coefficients are close to those accepted for calculations according to regulatory documents. These circumstances should be taken into account both in the static calculation of portal cranes and in the calculation of their elements for durability, which will increase their reliability in determining the loading of metal structures.

The relevance of the research consists in discussing the concepts of collectivism and citizenship as phenomena of social interaction of an employee, which is essential for both social and organizational psychology. The research objective is to substantiate a model of social interaction of an employee in which collectivism and citizenship act as phenomena of social interaction. Main results: The employee’s collectivism is understood in the proposed model as the employee’s orientation towards satisfying the interests of the interaction partner. Moreover, in the case of mutual collectivism, interaction takes place in the form of cooperation. In accordance with the three types of the employee’s interaction, their collectivism can be scarce (bring practical benefi ts), self-realization (bring joy), and spiritual (take the form of service). Taking into account the division of collectivism into two types (horizontal and vertical) and the three types of interaction, the study defi nes six types of collectivism. At the same time, the collectivism of an employee in an organization has its own peculiarities, depending on both their psychological characteristics and the type of organizational culture. Collectivism of the Russian employee is expressed and mainly takes the form of spiritual horizontal collectivism; that is the desire of the employee to help their colleagues selfl essly. The citizenship of an employee (readiness for civic behavior) is understood as one of the manifestations of collectivism – spiritual collectivism (willingness to sacrifi ce one’s interests for the sake of the interests of Another person - a colleague, a subordinate, a supervisor, a primary group, or an organization). Conclusions: The study substantiates a three-component model of the employee’s social interaction. This model makes it possible to single out six types of collectivism and to defi ne citizenship as spiritual collectivism. The specifi city of the collectivism of the Russian employee is defi ned as the expression of spiritual collectivism. Practical significance: The proposed model allows us to develop a) methods for assessing the employee’s orientation to interaction, b) techniques of developing the employee’s collectivism and citizenship.

The .sup.87Sr/.sup.86Sr strontium isotope ratio in skeletal tissues (teeth and bones) gives valuable information about the migrations and origin of humans and animals. In this study, we assess the suitability of various structural elements (enamel and dentin) of a human tooth sample from a burial mound (Early Iron Age, Omsk oblast) for strontium isotope analysis using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), laser ablation, and electron probe microanalysis. The microelemental mapping of a tooth fragment was conducted. The results indicate the absence of significant diagenetic changes in the tooth enamel, for which the .sup.87Sr/.sup.86Sr isotope composition was determined by multicollector ICP-MS after chromatographic separation. This research represents the first isotopic study of materials from archaeological excavations of Sargat culture burial mounds. Furthermore, this approach offers promise in reconstructing taphonomic conditions of burial environments, contributing to the understanding of conditions facilitating the preservation of skeletal tissues and archaeological information., Author(s): D. Objective. A booster compressor station (BCS) is one of the key technological facilities necessary to ensure the effective operation of low-temperature separation technology for natural gas in field gas preparation systems for transportation. Ensuring promising operating modes of booster compressor stations with high efficiency is an urgent task. Method. One of the tools for solving this problem is mathematical modeling of the operating modes of centrifugal compressors (hereinafter - CPC), which are part of gas pumping units (GPU). The basis of the mathematical model is the gas dynamic characteristic (GDC) of the pulp and paper mill. The existing regulatory documentation presents simplified methods for modeling HDC, which are suitable for low-pressure pulp and paper mills with a pressure ratio of up to 1.5 and the number of compression stages of no more than three, but are not suitable for multi-stage high-pressure pulp and paper mills. Result. The results of a comparison of three methods of modeling the hydrodynamic characteristics (method of reduced characteristics, refined method of reduced characteristics, method of two-parameter approximation) of high-pressure pulp and paper mills are presented using the example of a pulp and paper mill with a pressure ratio of up to 2.0, intended for equipping a gas pumping unit as part of field booster compressor stations. An analysis and comparison of the obtained modeling results with actual data was carried out. Conclusion. When using the UMPH-2D modeling method, the smallest errors were obtained (no more than 2.0%), which, in turn, indicates its highest accuracy among the considered methods for recalculating the gas flow characteristics of high-pressure and multi-stage compressors.

Introduction: Lacrimal sac squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a rare tumor. Only 241 cases of lacrimal sac SCC have been reported in the literature. However, the detailed molecular profile of this tumor is unknown. Case Presentation: Fifty-seven-year-old Caucasian male presented with a 6-month history of epiphora. Multimodal examination revealed a unilateral lacrimal sac SCC T4aN0M0. The patient underwent primary surgery with subsequent chemoradiotherapy. The patient was alive 18 months after the end of the treatment, with no signs of local or distant relapse. Complex molecular profiling revealed the FGFR p.G388R variant, HER2 amplification, and progression phenotype. Conclusion: Here, we describe a clinical case of a male patient with lacrimal sac SCC with a careful description of the disease history, treatment, and molecular-genetic patterns of the tumor. This is the first report of HER2-positive lacrimal sac SCC.

Purpose. Investigation of the joint manifestation of the effects of anisotropic signal propagation, coupling, and nonlinear power dependence of the medium parameters in a lattice of laterally and vertically coupled spin-wave (SW) microwaveguides. Consideration of the case of the influence of the rotation of the magnetization angle and the change of the lateral gap between microwaveguides located on the same substrate on the transverse profile of the spin-wave beam and the spatial localization of the SW amplitude. Methods. The method of micromagnetic modeling based on the numerical solution of the Landau–Lifshitz–Hilbert equation shows the possibility of controlling the direction of propagation of SW in an ensemble of laterally and vertically coupled iron yttrium garnet (YIG) microwaveguides by changing the magnetization angle. By the method of numerical integration of the system of coupled discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equations, the possibility of changing the transverse profile of the spin-wave beam by changing the level of the initial signal amplitude is shown. Results. The spatial distributions of the components of the dynamic magnetization of the SW excited in two microwaveguides located on the same substrate obtained in micromagnetic simulations indicate a change in the character of localization of the SW power in the output sections of the microwaveguides. At variation of the lattice magnetization angle, a shift of the threshold power value is observed, at which a characteristic curbing of the transverse width of the spin-wave beam in the nonlinear mode appears. Conclusion. When excitation of surface magnetostatic SW in a lattice of laterally and vertically coupled microwaveguides, a transformation of the transverse profile of the wave is observed at a deviation of the magnetization angle of the structure by 15º , which is manifested in the change of the SW length and its localization in each of the microwaveguides. The combined effects of dipole coupling, gyrotropy, and nonlinearity of the medium make it possible to control the value of the threshold power of the SW, at which the mode of diffractionless propagation of the spin-wave beam is realized in a single layer of the structure.

The saiga antelope (Saiga tatarica tatarica L., 1766, S) is a prominent ungulate mammal species inhabiting Central Asia. Over the latter half of the 20th century, saiga populations, including the Volga-Ural (Kazakhstan) population, experienced a continuous decline. However, there was a resurgence in their numbers in the 1980s. This study aims to assess the present status of saiga populations, particularly the Volga-Ural (V-U) population, by analyzing existing retrospective data. Our findings reveal that during the 21st century, the saiga population has increased in two key regions: the Volga-Ural and Betpak-Dala (B) populations. Notably, the Northern-Western Population (NWP) habitat saw a drastic 50-fold decline in population, while other populations decreased by 2.0-5.0 times. Despite this decline, the NWP habitat exhibited higher juvenile saiga yields compared to other regions. The resurgence of saiga populations has been significantly influenced by the support of the Government of Kazakhstan, along with the effective efforts of international wildlife conservation organizations and local community engagement.
