Este estudo teve como objetivo verificar o nível de aptidão física funcional (AFF) e suas relações com a incidência das principais doenças crônicas não transmissíveis e os parâmetros antropométricos de homens e mulheres, na faixa etária de 40 a 65 anos, usuários de uma Unidade Básica de Saúde, de zona rural. O grupo de estudos foi composto por 33 voluntários, sendo 14 do sexo masculino e 19 do sexo feminino. A incidência de Hipertensão Arterial e Diabetes Mellitus foi verificada a partir da análise de prontuários, já os parâmetros antropométricos, nível de AFF e grau de escolaridade foram verificados na unidade básica de saúde. Os resultados mostraram altos índices de sobrepeso e obesidade, além disso, houve redução da AFF em função do aumento da idade e da obesidade. Dessa forma os índices de sobrepeso e obesidade do grupo de estudos estão acima da média e a idade e obesidade são os fatores que mais restringem a AFF do mesmo. Será confeccionado um relatório à equipe desta unidade básica de saúde sobre as condições de saúde dos indivíduos estudados e orientações para a prática de atividades físicas. ABSTRACT Functional physical fitness related to chronic non-communicable diseases in rural residents This study aimed to determine the level of functional physical fitness (FPF) and their relationship with the incidence of major chronic non-communicable diseases and anthropometric parameters of men and women, aged 40-65 years old, users of a Basic Unit Health’s, of rural zone. The study group was composed of 33 volunteers, 14 males and 19 females. Incidence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus was found from the analysis of records, and anthropometric parameters, level of FPF and educational level were observed in the basic unit health’s. The results showed high rates of overweight and obesity, in addition, there was a reduction of FPF as a function of increasing age and obesity. In this way the rates of overweight and obesity study group are above average and the age and obesity are factors that restrict the FPF of the study group. Will be made a report to the team this basic unit health’s about the health conditions of the subjects and guidelines for physical exercise.
