The purpose of the paper is to propose some new probabilistic α-minimum Ciric type contraction results. Our results are established on probabilistic generalization of metric spaces or probabilistic metric spaces. The use of class of control fucntion φ which was introduced by Choudhury et al. in 2008 helped us to deduce the result. We also get a corollary. Some illustrative examples are given here. Our results are supported by those examples. Lastly an application of integral equation is given. An important conclusion is also made at the end of the results.

A Kuratowski topology is a topology specified in terms of closed sets rather than open sets. Recently, the binary metric was introduced as a symmetric, distributive-lattice-ordered magma-valued function of two variables satisfying a “triangle inequality” and subsequently proved that every Kuratowski topology can be induced by such a binary metric. In this paper, we define the strong convergence of a sequence in a binary metric space and prove that strong convergence implies convergence. We state the conditions under which strong convergence is equivalent to convergence. We define a strongly Cauchy sequence and a strong complete binary metric space. Finally, we give the strong completion of all binary metric spaces with a countable indexing set.

In this paper, we establish some new fixed point theorems for generalized ϕ–ψ-contractive mappings satisfying an admissibility-type condition in a Hausdorff rectangular metric space with the help of C-functions. In this process, we rectify the proof of Theorem 3.2 due to Budhia et al. [New fixed point results in rectangular metric space and application to fractional calculus, Tbil. Math. J., 10(1):91–104, 2017]. Some examples are given to illustrate the theorems. Finally, we apply our result (Corollary 3.6) to establish the existence of a solution for an initial value problem of a fractional-order functional differential equation with infinite delay.

In this paper, we define and study the Perov fuzzy metric space and the topology induced by this space. We prove Banach contraction theorems. Moreover, we devised new results for Kramosil and Michálek fuzzy metric spaces. In the process, some results about multidimensional common fixed points as coupled/tripled common fixed point results are derived from our main results.

In this article, we introduced the best proximity point theorems for $\mathcal{Z}$-contraction and Suzuki type $\mathcal{Z}$-contraction in the setting of complete metric spaces. Also by the help of weak $P$-property and $P$-property, we proved existence and uniqueness of best proximity point. There is a simple example to show the validity of our results. Our results extended and unify many existing results in the literature. Moreover, an application to fractional order functional differential equation is discussed.

In this paper, we provide an approach to establish the Banach contraction principle (for the case λ ∈ [ 0 , 1 ) ) , Edelstein, Reich, and Meir–Keeler type contractions in the context of graphical rectangular b-metric space. The obtained results not only enrich and improve recent fixed point theorems of this new metric spaces but also provide positive answers to the questions raised by Mudasir Younis et al. (J. Fixed Point Theory Appl., doi:10.1007/s11784-019-0673-3, 2019).

This article intends to initiate the study of Pompeiu–Hausdorff distance induced by an M-metric. The Nadler and Kannan type fixed point theorems for set-valued mappings are also established in the said spaces. Moreover, the discussion is supported with the aid of competent examples and a result on homotopy. This approach improves the current state of art in fixed point theory.

In this paper, we introduce the Ćirić type generalized F-contraction and establish certain common fixed point results for such F-contraction in metric spaces with the w-distances. In addition, we give some examples to support our results. Finally, we apply our results to show the existence of solutions of the second order differential equation.

In this paper, we introduce a new class of operators called fuzzy-Preši´cCiri´c operators. For this type of operators, the existence and uniqueness of fixed point ´ in M-complete fuzzy metric spaces endowed with H-type t-norms are established. The results proved here generalize and extend some comparable results in the existing literature. An example is included which illustrates the main result of this paper. Moreover, some applications of our main theorem to the study of certain types of nonlinear differential equations are provided.

The aim of this short communication is to provide an alternative of Bisht and Pant result (2013) [1, Theorem 1.2] in the context of framing proper setting for the application of occasionally weakly compatible mappings.

Ran and Reurings (2004) established an interesting analogue of Banach Contraction Principle in a complete metric space equipped with a partial ordering and also utilized the same oneto discuss the existence of solutions to matrix equations. Motivated by this paper, we prove results on coincidence points for a pair of weakly increasing mappings satisfying a nonlinear contraction condition described by a rational expression on an ordered complete metric space. The uniqueness of common fixed point is also discussed. Some examples are furnished to demonstrate the validity of the hypotheses of our results. As an application, we derive an existence theorem for the solution of an integral equation.

The purpose of this paper is to present a new approach to study the existence of fixed points for multivalued F-contraction in the setting of modular metric spaces. In establishing this connection, we introduce the notion of multivalued F-contraction and prove corresponding fixed point theorems in complete modular metric space with some specific assumption on the modular. Then we apply our results to establish the existence of solutions for a certain type of non-linear integral equations.
