This study focuses on one line of cultural tourism. Specifically, in a contemporary art museum, located in Favara, (Agrigento), Sicily, called Farm Cultural Park (FCP) Museum. The study analyzes the profile of FCP visitors, from the perspective of cultural, sustainable and participatory tourism. A total of 302 surveys were conducted during June, July and August 2020. Therefore, it must be considered that they were the first months after the confinement decreed in the country due to Covid-19, with all the obvious difficulties. Data analysis was carried out with the SPSS statistical program in its version 26. The methodology was based on a structural equation model (SEM), with different causal relationships among the analyzed constructs. Tourists came with the precise interest of visiting an open museum, with a very high social and participatory component. The visitors were fully satisfied by the staff who welcomed them. A medium-low level of spending was observed, linked to consumption inside the museum. And, unfavorable opinions were expressed on a lack of signage to arrive in FCP. The final results support the influence of preferences upon satisfaction, which originates attitudinal loyalty. Therefore, it would be very important for Sicily to show that tourism on the island could not be seasonal, due to the magnificent climatic conditions that prevail throughout the year. It would also be crucial to expand research on the synergies of cultural tourism that could be generated between the Valley of the Temples, in Agrigento, and the FCP, in Favara. In this way, a greater range of sites would be offered that concern various interests and ideas, both for the department's business community, as well as for tourists. The corollary of these actions would be to increase the presence of Agrigento on the map of international cultural tourism. All this should be capable of transforming, enhancing and making known the richness of territorial diversity, traditions and historical and environmental contexts, first in the department of Agrigento, and later, throughout the island. In several cities of Spain, film festivals are regarded as prominent cultural events. The most well-known film festivals in Spain are the Valladolid International Film Week, San Sebastian, the Bilbao, Alcalá de Henares, Málaga, Manresa Almería. The Almería city, located on the Mediterranean Sea, has been striving to promote these events for a decade or so. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of the audience attending the 8th Cinejoven Film Television Festival and collaborate in the visibility of the event. Five hypotheses were tested using the variables: perceived value, motivations, and satisfaction loyalty. A sample of 207 surveys of attendees at the festival was analyzed. La construcción y la propiedad de viviendas son fundamentales para el desarrollo económico, la creación de riqueza y la formación de la clase media. Pese a los numerosos estudios y programas implementados en décadas recientes, persiste un marcado déficit de viviendas en el Paraguay, así como en América Latina, porque estos programas no han sido exitosos. El mayor obstáculo para las familias al intentar adquirir una vivienda y no poder acreditar ingresos regulares, suele ser el financiamiento. En este trabajo se procura demostrar la factibilidad económica y financiera --siempre que exista voluntad política y coordinación entre entidades privadas y públicas-- de un proyecto de construcción de 75.000 viviendas para 300.000 personas (el 4,5% de la población paraguaya) con ingresos medios-bajos. Este segmento poblacional, con grave carencia de viviendas decentes, tiene un ingreso medio de 396,5 dólares por hogar, pudiendo destinar hasta 63,44 dólares mensuales a costos relacionados con la vivienda. In this study, two new kinetic models for the palm oil transesterification with methanol, by using calcium oxide, are proposed. The first model, which includes the alcohol and the oil's adsorption on the catalyst, is carried out by the Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanisms, while the second model only considers the alcohol adsorption on the solid, through the Eley-Rideal mechanisms. The Kinetic parameters were determined, by using the initial reaction rates method (t < 30 min), while the data taken for longer times (until 240 min) were used for the models validation. For the proposed models' deduction, it was studied the alcohol/oil molar ratio's variation effect (4.9-8.9), of the catalyst %w/w (0.3-0.7) and the temperature (328-338 K) on the reaction speed. The kinetic parameters were determined using the initial reaction rates method (t < 30 min), while the data taken for longer times (until 240 min) were used for models validation. It was found that the proposed models represent, an acceptable experimental data, according to the squared residuals' sum < 0.045. The models contribute to this catalytic system understanding, by introducing the adsorption/desorption concepts, on the reaction kinetics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Stress Tests are conducted by national supervisors as well as by the European Banking Authority (EBA). This paper aims to make a critical analysis of the latest edition of the stress tests published on 15th July 2011. To achieve this objective, we have also established a secondary aim: to examine the financial and patrimonial situation of some of the European and Spanish banks in the period 2010-2012, taking into account the relevant EBA index. From the historical data available, we can conclude that the aggregate Net Equity of the example we analysed, from 2010, including the recapitalization estimated by the EBA, reached a level of Net Equity/Assets, not even reached by the equivalent figures for 1985 (without recapitalization). Considering that Net Equity constitutes a safety zone for creditors in general, it can be stated that this basic criterion of solvency has deteriorated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Contents We have already shown that RSVP14 and RSVP20, two ram seminal plasma (SP) proteins postulated to be involved in sperm capacitation and gamete interaction can protect spermatozoa against cold-shock. In this study, we use two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2D-PAGE) for the analysis of SP proteins of Rasa Aragonesa rams, using enhanced protein solubilization in the presence of tributyl phosphine (TBP) and a polyacrylamide linear gradient gel with a narrow pH range (4–7). The image analysis of the 2D map detected 195 protein spots, with isoelectric points (pIs) ranging from 4.5 to 6.6, and molecular weight ( Mr) from 11.7 to 90.4. Staining of 2D gels with Pro-Q Emerald 300 Glycoprotein Stain revealed that most significant proteins in ram SP are glycosylated. The removing of protein N-linked oligosaccharides improved the gel resolution. 2D-PAGE analysis of the whole fraction 6 (F6) separated from ram SP by exclusion chromatography showed six main protein spots, four ( a, b, c, d) in the 14 kDa and two ( e, f) in the 20 kDa region. Western-blot analyses indicated that the anti-P14 antibody recognized four spots on the SP map, 4, 5, 6 and 7, that matched with spots a, b, c, d of F6 map. The anti-P20 antibody recognized spots 13 and 14 of SP map that corresponded to spots e, f of F6 map. The deduced sequences by de novo sequencing evidenced that protein spots 7 and 13 have significant similarities to BSP family, while protein spots 4 and 14 did not appear to be homologous with any reported protein in the current mammalian Proteinbank databases. An unusual case of a 54-year-old woman who presented with a one-and-a-half year history of dizziness and in whom neuroimaging studies revealed an intradural prepontine growth without radiological evidence of bone involvement, is reported. Culinary tourism is a popular practice and the resulting economic activity has great potential to enhance the attractiveness of a tourist destination. When visitors search for unique and genuine gastronomic experiences in a visited area, gastronomy becomes a germane motivation for selecting a travel destination. This study addresses culinary tourism through segmentation of visitors to Trapani, Italy, concerning the importance of gastronomy in their choice of travel destinations. This study identifies three types of tourists with different degrees of interest in local gastronomy: survivors, enjoyers, and experiencers. According to the results of statistical analysis, experiencers (tourists with a great interest in local gastronomy) show the greatest appreciation for local food as well as being the group that makes the greatest economic impact in the area. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of incubation temperature (34.5; 35.5; 36.5; 37.5 and 38.5ºC), on incubation period, embryonic mortality, hatching rate, water loss and chick weight at hatch, using daily incubation of partridge (Rhynchotus rufescens) eggs. The highest hatching percentage was obtained between 35.5 and 36.5ºC. Incubation length and temperature were inversely proportional. Water loss was lower in eggs incubated at low temperatures as compared to high temperatures. There was no difference among incubation temperatures in absolute and relative hatchling weights. Early embryonic mortality increased at low temperatures (36.5ºC). Our results show that, under conditions of daily incubation of eggs in the same incubator, higher hatching rate can be obtained using temperatures between 35.5ºC and 36.5ºC; incubation temperature is inversely proportional to incubation length, and absolute and relative weights of partridge chicks are not affected by incubation temperature.

Background and context: Tumor, Node, Metastases (TNM) classification system provide valuable measures to researchers in facilitating the understanding of disparities in outcomes and allowing for the comparison of these outcomes over time. There is a lack of multimodal formats for disseminating comprehensive information and education about cancer stage to the global cancer community. To address this gap, the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Cancer Education at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (PM) (Toronto, Canada) in collaboration with The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) envisioned the development of a cancer staging video series. Aim: To provide current and accurate information on cancer staging to healthcare professionals and stakeholders for global cancer control. Strategy/Tactics: The Cancer Education program worked with experts in the field of cancer staging to develop 8 videos (average length 4 min) to provide information to the global cancer community about existing information on key issues with cancer staging and how to properly stage patients using the TNM classification. Videos include references to current research and examples of staging across various cancers to illustrate and reinforce the importance of cancer staging. Script development involved defining key messages, refining learning objectives and breaking up information to ensure the content is digestible and easy to understand. Prior to video production, draft scripts were reviewed by international collaborators for completeness of information and accuracy of content. Videos contain appropriate text on screen to reinforce key messages and include a narrated voiceover to orient the learner. To expand the global reach, trained faculties translated the English videos and scripts, into the 5 official United Nations languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish. Program/Policy process: Videos in the cancer staging series include: The Importance of Cancer Staging; What is Cancer Stage; General Rules for Cancer Staging; Cancer Staging Examples; Staging Terminology; Importance of a Common Stage Language; Why Stage Language Changes; Essential TNM. Videos will be made available on UICC and PM Web sites (free of charge and globally advertised). Outcomes: The video series will increase education and awareness on the importance of a unified approach to cancer staging among the larger community and have the aim to empower the community on how to access cancer and define prognosis, treatment and or trial eligibility. What was learned: The development and promotion of the cancer staging video series was a meaningful, collaborative and challenging activity. Penile cancer is uncommon in western countries. It has been related to human papilloma virus (HPV) types 16 and 18. We describe five cases of carcinoma of the penis in men from a rural Venezuelan town that were related to HPV types 6, 11, 53, which represent a rather low risk for cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Given the urgent need for novel methods to control the spread of multidrug-resistant microorganisms, this study presents a green synthesis approach to produce silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using the bark extract from Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan var. colubrina. The methodology included obtaining the extract and characterizing the AgNPs, which revealed antimicrobial activity against MDR bacteria. A. colubrina species is valued in indigenous and traditional medicine for its medicinal properties. Herein, it was employed to synthesize AgNPs with effective antibacterial activity (MIC = 19.53-78.12 μM) against clinical isolates from the ESKAPEE group, known for causing high hospitalization costs and mortality rates. Despite its complexity, AgNP synthesis is an affordable method with minimal environmental impacts and risks. Plant-synthesized AgNPs possess unique characteristics that affect their biological activity and cytotoxicity. In this work, A. colubrina bark extract resulted in the synthesis of nanoparticles measuring 75.62 nm in diameter, with a polydispersity index of 0.17 and an average zeta potential of -29 mV, as well as low toxicity for human erythrocytes, with a CC 50 value in the range of 961 μM. This synthesis underscores its innovative potential owing to its low toxicity, suggesting applicability across several areas and paving the way for future research.

Aim: To prepare a consensus document of the cariology contents and competences included in the curriculum for the dentistry degree at Argentine dental faculties/schools., Materials and Method: Planning the process in stages: Stage 1- Diagnosis of the situation (Google Form) and invitation to participate extended to the 20 academic units (AU) that offer dentistry degrees. Stage 2- Assessment process of Content (C) and Competences (I) agreements in the five domains: D1 Basic Sciences, D2 Risk and diagnosis of dental caries, D3 Decision-making for non-invasive treatments, D4 Decision-making for invasive treatment, and D5 Evidence-based cariology at community level. Stage 3- Consensus. Stages 2 and 3 were held in Workshop format in virtual mode (W)., Results: Stage 1- Of the total 20 Google forms sent to the AU, 13 responses were received: 7 from National Universities and 6 from Private Universities. All participants agreed to be part of the consensus. Stage 2- W: 20 representatives from 10 AU participated. It began with a contextualizing conference, after which the representatives were divided into 5 groups to assess the agreements of each D. Stage 3- The Cariology Curriculum document was organized into 5 Domains, and 23 C and 31 I of clinical application were defined for teaching cariology. The contents and competences for each domain were agreed upon. The sperm interacts with seminal plasma proteins during its transport through the female reproductive tract to reach the oocyte. Seminal plasma proteins have been associated as biomarkers of fertility in bovine males, while two-dimensional electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gels under denaturing conditions (2D-PAGE) is a useful technique for their separation, allowing their subsequent analysis with the aid of specialised software. Brahman bulls are known for their tolerance to tropical conditions such as low-quality pastures, high temperatures, and relative humidity as well as moderate resistance to infestations by parasites and insects. The present study describes the two-dimensional electrophoretic profiles of the seminal plasma proteins in the rainy and dry seasons, associating them with the fertility of Brahman bulls in the Colombian Orinoquía in a 90-days breeding season and a single-sire mating system (1 bull per 50 Brahman cows) with 60 consecutive days of rest. The fertility-related seminal plasma protein spots increased in the dry season. Likewise, a meaningful relationship was found between the protein spots that possibly coincide with the Binder of Sperm Proteins. It was also found that bulls with the highest percentages of pregnancy also had similarities in their 2D seminal plasma maps. In this study, for the first time, the production of green hydrogen gas (H 2 ) in the cathodic compartment, in concomitance with the electrochemical oxidation (EO) of an aqueous solution containing Calcon dye at the anodic compartment, was studied in a PEM-type electrochemical cell driven by a photovoltaic (PV) energy source. EO of Calcon was carried out on a Nb/BDD anode at different current densities (7.5, 15 and 30 mA cm -2 ), while a stainless steel (SS) cathode was used for green H 2 production. The results of the analysis by UV-vis spectroscopy and total organic carbon (TOC) clearly showed that the electrochemical oxidation (EO) of the Calcon dye after 180 min of electrolysis time by applying 30 mA cm -2 reached up to 90% of degradation and 57% of TOC removal. Meanwhile, under these experimental conditions, a green H 2 production greater than 0.9 L was achieved, with a Faradaic efficiency of 98%. The hybrid electrolysis strategy is particularly attractive in the context of a circular economy, as these can be coupled with the use of more complex water matrices to transform organic depollution into an energy resource to produce H 2 as a chemical energy carrier.

Background: The beliefs and attitudes of physicians toward depression may predict whether they are supportive or avoidant of patients diagnosed with this condition. Describing the attitudes toward depression of Argentinian, Chilean, and Venezuelan healthcare professionals could be a valuable tool for understanding the Latin American perspective on depression recognition, management, and prevention., Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among healthcare professionals in Argentina, Chile, and Venezuela using the Spanish validated version of the revised depression attitude questionnaire (R-DAQ). The questionnaire was collected online from August to November 2021, in a quota-based sample of 1759 health professionals (the final analytical sample is 1234). Descriptive data analyses were performed using STATA version 16 statistical software., Results: Depression was considered a disease that anyone could suffer by 90% of the respondents. However, 70% of professionals answered that they feel more comfortable dealing with physical illness than mental illness. Furthermore, the findings show that a quarter of the participants in the study believed that either medical treatment (28.6%) or psychosocial approach (<20%) were ineffective tools for people suffering from depression. Findings also show that depression is seen as a more natural part of life by Argentinian professionals and men. Finally, psychologists and psychiatrists are most likely to treat depression as any other physical disease. Medical providers who routinely perform surgeries are not as likely to know how to treat depression or consider it an actual disease., Conclusions: Healthcare professionals in Argentina, Chile, and Venezuela have varying attitudes toward depression. While they recognize depression as a disease on the same level as other physical diseases, most do not know how to treat it.
