The present paper constitutes a research endeavour grounded in a fundamental question posed by its title: 'Could circular economy and various digital instruments like Internet of Things help a business model to respond to such challenges?' This inquiry is intrinsically linked to the broader context of the last decades, which have witnessed a rapid technological revolution, reshaped global industries, and nurtured a digital ecosystem. While this transformation has yielded considerable advantages, it has concurrently introduced formidable challenges, encompassing climate change, resource depletion, large-scale migrations, pandemic, and conflicts, all of them provoking profound contemplation on the way forward for both businesses and humanity. In the context of this research, we will delve into the crucial topic of how VUCA, a framework for risk assessment and response, has played a central role in adapting and developing new business marketing strategies to effectively navigate complexity. Additionally, we will explore the significance of BANI, emphasizing the vital need for flexible marketing strategies when confronting unforeseen global crises. The paper focuses on the role of VUCA and BANI frameworks in guiding businesses' marketing strategies. Therefore, the case study will explore how these frameworks have influenced marketing strategies, and what they mean in response to unforeseen global crises. In our interconnected world, IoT is vital for understanding consumer behaviour and creating data-driven marketing strategies. The transition to circular business models, influenced by environmental concerns, fosters sustainable marketing through eco-friendly products. To navigate the intricate VUCA and BANI landscape, marketers need innovative strategies blending digital technologies, big data, and AI with IoT insights and circular economy principles. This paper will provide essential insights for understanding whether circular economy and various digital instruments like the Internet of Things can empower a business model to effectively respond to the multifaceted challenges of the modern era. The paper aims to assess the contributions of Circular Economy (CE) and Internet of Things (IoT) into a world of a continuous transition, highlighting especially those that help companies towards a sustainable business model. Hand in hand towards the same main purpose to integrate sustainability in all the organizational activities, 7 Romanian organizations from various industries have responded to a qualitative interview, assessing the concept of digitalization as a key component in the developing process for a green future. Used as a starting point, the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals contribute to a clear vision in creating an efficient marketing strategy, by noticing the effects of a relationship between Circular Economy and Internet of Things through sustainability. As for sustainability, a question might be posed on how it is viewed today and what it represents in the nowadays context. In order to find out an assumed response that could be correlated with various field of activities, some analytical questions have been asked, based on the way of developing a sustainable strategy through digitalization, the main role of the digital instruments, the types of the resources used and the consumer and public perception onto the business model, directing the research towards the creation of hypotheses based on a thought process of sustainability. The transition towards a sustainable business model is reflected in this research through the perception of Romanian companies from different fields, identifying their green practices, and use of digital solutions, by highlighting the importance of circular economy and the IoT component. Are digitalisation and Internet of Things (IoT) enablers for the circular economy? This question is based on relatively new concepts, but with a strong foundation applied in the relationship between environment, economy, and society, which, through their roles, determines a sustainable approach towards a future which companies and consumers should share. In order to highlight the attributes of the circular economy in a direct relation with the influence of digitalisation and the IoT component, the theories of various experts prove our ability to perceive sustainability from a circular and digital perspective. Whether we talk about the interconnection between the process of monitoring the life cycle of a product and the adoption of artificial intelligence during the creation process, the circular economy is the solution that comes to support the business models which also use promotion through green marketing. The adoption of the principles of circularity overlapping technological practices supports the idea of creation of a world built on social responsibility, generating long-term social, environmental and governance benefits. Nowadays, society increasingly feels the need to adopt sustainable behaviour, building pressure on the way companies operate, produce, and sell. The case study performed on a global group that has already started to adopt circular business models through digital and especially IoT technologies is proof that this solution could be implemented quite easily by other companies and the race has already started. Creative destruction used by German sociologist Werner Sombart in 1913, and later known as Schumpeter's gale, could be considered the first conceptual stage of what happens nowadays in all industries "forced" to use the digital environment. First three industrial revolutions experienced by the humanity happened in over three centuries with tangible results that improved immensely the day-to-day life of people. The fourth one happened in decades, and it was characterized by the use of information and communication technology in various industries. As the literature review has revealed, Internet of Things (IoT) is part of Industry 4.0., linking industries and consumers in a smarter way through sensors and other devices, collecting valuable data and helping companies. This article proposes a navigation throughout the literature to demonstrate that IoT is a new and modern solution that has a big potential for development to help businesses to take smarter and swifter decisions from data gathered indirectly from consumers. Given that the papers analyzed are quite recent, we would say that this topic of IoT is only lightly investigated, and it opens many subjects of discussions, not only on the business and marketing side, but also economically, socially, and of course, technically. Various questions have arisen during the research: Is there a limitation in using this instrument in business and marketing strategies? Either technical or legal? This paper presents the result of a research of the literature regarding circular economy, green trends in marketing, green IoT and consumer experience. Green concept was the main driver to link current marketing strategies for a sustainable consumer experience seen through consumers' buying behaviour nowadays. The key aspects of this paper consist of analysing the basic concepts of green IoT and green marketing, combined to create a greener consumer experience, becoming a meaningful part of the circular economy. Climate change and protecting our environment are the biggest challenges of the modern world. Energy consumption is at the highest level ever, and a solution addressed to these challenges should be found in order for businesses and consumers to fulfil their needs. Circular economy is considered also part of the solution, but people should become more aware about the principle of circularity, and what it means in practice. Considering applying green marketing and green IoT concepts into practice, this paper could offer a solution. Even if the green concept should be applied by both businesses and consumers, we didn't cover the consumer side, more specifically how they should act upon to become "greener" in their choices. Cervical cancer ranks second worldwide in the malignancies in women, with an incidence of approximately 528,000 new cases reported annually and approximately 266,000 deaths reported in 2012. There is a strong link between the presence of human papillomavirus (HPV) cervical cancer and its precursors. HPV can be identified in more than 99% of all cases of cervical cancer and HPV infection is now accepted as a necessary cause for the majority of cervical cancers. All patients diagnosed with invasive cervical carcinoma should be evaluated clinically by vaginal exam and rectal imaging by computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging or PET-CT. FIGO system is most widely used staging system for cervical cancer. FIGO staging system is mainly based on clinical examination, pelvic examination therefore performed by a clinician with experience, which is critically important. Many factors influence the choice of treatment for cervical cancer, including tumour size, stage, histological characteristics and lymph node invasion obvious risk factors for complications after surgery or radiotherapy and patients' preferences. Basically, in micro invasive carcinoma (std. IA1) the treatment of choice is conservative surgery (excisional conisation or hysterectomy extra fasciala). In invasive cancers in early stages (std. IA2, IB1, some IIA) the treatment of choice is radical hysterectomy or modified radical hysterectomy, radical trachelectomia (if desired fertility preservation) or radiotherapy. In locally advanced cancers (std. IB2 to IVA) the treatment of choice is radio chemotherapy. Treatment of patients with metastatic disease is primarily systemic chemotherapy, but the patients are encouraged to participate in clinical trials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
