The following work is meant to represent the evaluation of risk factors for the health of exposed workers, arising from the management of carcinogenic and mutagenic substances, through the use of algorithms. In some places of work as a research laboratory, it is more suitable a theoretical and practical methodology (algorithm) which allows a "timely" exposure assessment. The methodology developed and used is able to determine the level of risk of exposure due to a single agent and / or to more agents. Results obtained by the algorithm, have shown an higher exposure to 1 for formaldehyde (Lcanc = 1.32), while for acrylamide results obtained shows a lower exposure to 1 (Lcanc = 0.528). Although the overall exposure level of studied workers higher value to 1 (Lcanc= 1.848), the Occupational Medicine Centre of "Sapienza" - University of Rome, in agreement with the position taken by the Italian Society of Occupational Medicine and Industrial Hygiene applies health surveillance even in the presence of potential health risk reducing it among the general protection measures the health and safety of workers.

Introduction: To analyze the virus spread among Sassari Hospital staff in the first Covid-19 wave and the impact of the Swab Team, a multidisciplinary task force entitled of nasopharyngeal swab collection and testing., Methodology: Nasopharyngeal swabs from HCWs between March 6 and May 28 2020 are evaluated., Results: 4919 SARS-CoV-2 tests were performed on 3521 operators. Nurses and doctors are the categories at highest risk. After the Swab Team institution, the average number of swabs raised from 47/day to 86/day (p = 0.007). Positive samples decreased from 18.6% to 1.7% (p < 0.0001)., Conclusions: The Swab Team is effective in increasing the cases tested and in reducing the reporting time. FA was recently classified as carcinogen of second class (category 1B). A retrospective cohort study was conducted for the evaluation of the association between exposure to FA and cancer in professionally potentially exposed in a University setting. The cohort was composed of 140 exposed to FA and 364 not exposed in the period 1999-2015. The results showed no cancers of naso-pharynx and leukemias or lymphomas both among exposed and not exposed. Moreover, the exposure to FA is not significantly associated to an increase of other types of tumors.
