The beef cattle farming business in Kolaka Regency still has bright prospects for its development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the prospects and determine the development of beef cattle in Kolaka Regency. This study was centered in Watubangga District because it is the base area for beef cattle development. The research variables include the social characteristics of farmers and production costs, involving 45 farmers as respondents. The data analysis method used in this research is the Revenue-Cost approach and the Cobb-Douglas production function using the natural logarithm model. The research results show that the beef cattle business in Kolaka Regency has prospects or is profitable for development with an R/C ratio of 3,12. Meanwhile, the variables of total production and investment costs determine the prospects for developing beef cattle farming in Kolaka Regency. Therefore, support from across sectors is needed to improve the beef cattle business in the future, especially in terms of accessibility of business funding sources.

Whole egg powder has a longer shelf life than fresh eggs, easier to apply, and can be applied in bakery industry. This study aims to evaluate the differences in the characteristics of bread made from chicken whole egg powder dried using the oven and foam mat drying methods compared to bread made from fresh eggs. The results obtained show that bread from chicken whole egg powder dried using the oven drying and foam mat drying methods was liked and accepted by consumers, especially from a sensory perspective (color, aroma, taste and texture), and even has a preference compared to bread made with the use of fresh eggs. The best formulation for bread was obtained from bread made using chicken whole egg powder dried with foam mat drying with color, taste, aroma and texture parameter value are 4.1, 4.3, 3.9 and 4.2 respectively, while the increasing volume was 289.6% and hardness value was 50.8 N/cm2. However, the characteristics of the bread produced using chicken whole egg powder from both the oven drying and foam mat drying methods were not much different from bread made using fresh eggs and can be a new alternative in food industry.

Chili is a commodity that often triggers inflation at certain times or periods due to sudden price increases. The reason is that the availability of chilies is not sufficient for market demand due to production inefficiencies. This research aims to determine the factors that influence cayenne pepper production and determine the efficiency of using production factors using the Cobb-Douglas production function. The results of the research show that seeds and labour have a significant effect on increasing cayenne pepper farming, while land area, fertilizers, and pesticides do not have a significant effect on production. The use of production factors has not yet reached the maximum level of efficiency. Production factors that are not yet efficient are land area and labour so their utilization needs to be increased. Meanwhile, inefficient production factors are seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides so their use does not need to be increased or reduced.

Employee performance is an appearance of employee work both in quantity and high quality employee performance will support organizational productivity. This type of research used in this study is a quantitative approach. Quantitative research is used to examine a sample of the population with the analytical test method n = Number of Samples N = Number of population, and E = Precision determined or the percentage of non-precision looseness. With the results employees have problems with the transformational leadership style that is applied by the restaurant employee supervisor at the Makassar Marcure Hotel Nexa Pettarani. The relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance is strengthened from the results of the regression analysis. The regression test results showed significant results on the transformational leadership variable on performance by 0.104 smaller than the error tolerance α = 0.05. Dengan hasil karyawan memiliki permasalahan dengan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional yang diterapkan oleh atasan karyawan Restoran Pada Hotel Marcure Makassar Nexa Pettarani. Keterkaitan antara kepemimpinan transformasional dengan kinerja karyawan diperkuat dari hasil analisis regresi. Hasil uji regresi secara menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan pada variabel kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja sebesar 0,104 lebih kecil dari toleransi kesalahan α = 0,05.

Background: Inguinal hernia is one of the most prevalent reasons for transfer to the pediatric surgery department. The incidence varies from 0.8– 4.4% of term babies and up to 30% of preterm babies. Surgery for inguinal hernia has become one of the most frequently carried out operations, with better outcomes and very few complications. Methods: This is a retrospective cross-sectional study of all children diagnosed with inguinal hernia (under 15 years of age) was conducted from April 1th, 2018 to July 31th, 2022, in a tertiary hospital in Mogadishu, Somalia. All cases of inguinal hernia are operated on using a modified Ferguson surgical technique. Results: During the 51 mounts, 119 cases with inguinal hernia were operated. 94.1% of cases (n=112) were male and 5.9% (n=7) of were female; the ratio of inguinal hernia from male to female was 16:1. The right side was slightly more common and the proportion of bilaterally affected cases was about 6.7%. The median age at presentation was 52 months, and the mean waiting period for patients to be operated on was 2 months. The rate of incarcerated cases was 4.2%. Infants had a greater risk of incarceration than other children.The total wound infection and recurrence rates following surgery were 1.6% and 0.8%, respectively. Conclusion: Babies with inguinal hernias are at an increased risk of incarceration and it would be wise to consider surgery soon, depending on current waiting lists. The use of technology is a solution to increase food and beverage sales. A technology called digital application develops sales activities to become all digital. This study aims: To find out what types of digital applications are used at Cafe Reza and Palekko in Pare-Pare. To find out how the implementation and effectiveness of digital applications in increasing food and beverage sales in the new normal era at Reza and Palekko Cafes in Pare- Pare. Data collection from this study was taken by the following techniques: interviews and documentation and data analysis was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that the type of digital application used by Reza and Palekko Cafes to increase food and beverage sales in the new normal era is the mokapos.com application, the implementation of the mokapos digital application has a positive impact and extraordinary effectiveness for Reza and Palekko cafes because in addition to simplifying the stages stages of employee performance, the integrated mokapos application with grabfood, gofood, go-pay greatly supports the increase in food and beverages at Reza and Palekko cafes in this new normal era. Subterranean clover (Trifolium subterraneum L.) is a diploid self-pollinated annual pasture legume native to the Mediterranean region and widely sown in southern Australia and other countries with Mediterranean-type climates. This study utilised a core collection of 97 lines, representing around 80% of the genetic diversity of the species, to examine morphological diversity within subterranean clover. A total of 23 quantitative agro-morphological and 13 semi-quantitative morphological marker traits were assayed on the core collection and 28 diverse Australian cultivars as spaced plants in a replicated common garden experiment. Relationships between these traits and 24 climatic and edaphic parameters at their sites of origin were also examined within the core collection. Significant diversity was present for all traits. The Australian cultivars had similar levels of diversity to the core collection for several traits. Among the agro-morphological traits, time to flowering, leaf size and petiole diameter in mid-winter, plant area in late winter, maximum stem length, content of the oestogenic isoflavone biochanin A and total isoflavone content, were correlated with seven or more environmental variables. These can be considered highly adaptive, being the result of strong environmental selection pressure over time. For the first time in a clover species, morphological markers, including leaf mark, anthocyanin pigmentation and pubescence traits, have been associated with rainfall and soil parameters. This suggests they either have an adaptive role or the genes controlling them may be linked to other genes controlling adaptive traits. This study demonstrated the value of core collections to examine diversity within much larger global collections. It also identified adaptive traits from wild plants that can be utilised to develop more productive and persistent subterranean clover cultivars. This study was conducted to determine the potential nutritive value and in vitro gas production (IVGP) parameters of Olea europaea L. (Olive = OL), Morus alba L. (Mulberry = ML) and Citrus aurantium L. (Sour orange = SOL) tree leaves. Hohenheim gas test was used to determine the in vitro gas productions of the leaves. The gas production of samples over time was recorded for 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h after incubation. Abstract Background Countries planning malaria elimination must adapt from sustaining universal control to targeted intervention and surveillance. Decisions to make this transition require interpretable information, including malaria parasite survey data. As transmission declines, observed parasite prevalence becomes highly heterogeneous with most communities reporting estimates close to zero. Absolute estimates of prevalence become hard to interpret as a measure of transmission intensity and suitable statistical methods are required to handle uncertainty of area-wide predictions that are programmatically relevant. Methods A spatio-temporal geostatistical binomial model for Plasmodium falciparum prevalence (PfPR) was developed using data from cross-sectional surveys conducted in Somalia in 2005, 2007–2011 and 2014. The fitted model was then used to generate maps of non-exceedance probabilities, i.e. the predictive probability that the region-wide population-weighted average PfPR for children between 2 and 10 years (PfPR2–10) lies below 1 and 5%. A comparison was carried out with the decision-making outcomes from those of standard approaches that ignore uncertainty in prevalence estimates. Results By 2010, most regions in Somalia were at least 70% likely to be below 5% PfPR2–10 and, by 2014, 17 regions were below 5% PfPR2–10 with a probability greater than 90%.
