This study aims to spotlight the postmodern tendency of metafiction in Preeti Shenoy’s selected texts. Metafiction is self-conscious in relation to language, literary form, and storytelling in fiction. This form of fiction accentuates its construct and reminds the readers to be aware of a fictional work. Shenoy is a noteworthy postmodern writer, and her famous novels are ‘The Secret Wish List’ (2012) and ‘It Happens for Reason’ (2014). These two novels exhibit the subject of postmodern metafiction through her writings. In these novels, the protagonists overcome their family doctrines to fulfill their wishes. The method of study adopted the metafiction theories proposed by Mark Currie, Patricia Waugh, and Linda Hutcheon. It highlights Shenoy’s texts that represent the elements of metafiction through the protagonists. Using various theories related to postmodern metafiction, the view of metafiction in the texts is substantiated and explored. The postmodern perspective of metafiction is explored in Shenoy’s texts and analyzed with metafiction theories. The study results are compared and discussed with other studies and contemporary texts concerning metafiction. The findings show that metafiction is applicable in the texts of the two novels by Shenoy. She projects the aspects of metafiction in her works through her writing, especially narration, both fiction and reality.

Education 4.0 is considered a significant technology for teaching and learning. The present study aims to explore the impact and the importance of Education 4.0 for improving English language learning in the perception of students in India, especially Hyderabad City. Moreover, Education 4.0 has bloomed as an important need to move along with the fast-growing education system of the world. But, it is a fact that many Indian students have complications and difficulties in learning English due to many reasons. The traditional methods of teaching are one of those reasons. Students learn only through the conventional methods, and they may find it boring and not effective. The education and mode of teaching have changed a lot, and it has attained a newer form of using the technology. Moreover, in the current era, where work from home and online teaching has become a new normal throughout the world, the technology used for teaching is inseparable. Hence, the authors are motivated to study the impact of Education 4.0 on improving English learning from Hyderabad, India. The methodology of the study has applied quantitative research. The study has employed pre-tested, close-ended questionnaires and post-assessment to gather data from the respondents to understand students' performance in English language learning after implying Education 4.0. The five-point Likert scale has been used to analyse the collected data and to get mean values of responses. The total number of respondents is 145 students who pursue their engineering degrees in the select region. Among the collected data, most of them were from urban. The data obtained from the respondents proved that there is a direct correlation between the students' perception and implementation of Education 4.0 in learning the English language. This study indicated that the respondents upheld Education 4.0 to improve English language learning in Hyderabad, India.

The importance of growth mindset and teachers’ feedback has been widely recognised to improve the English language performance of students; however, the impact of growth mindset as a mediator is least explored. Therefore, the study aimed to empirically analyse the interrelationships between growth mindset and teachers’ feedback levels on secondary school students’ English as a Second Language (ESL) performance and to study the mediation effects of growth mindset in the relationships. The research model examined growth mindset along with four types of feedback. The levels of feedback include task, process, self-regulation and self-based feedback that teachers provide to improve the ESL performance of students. Survey questionnaires were administered to 301 secondary school students in Class 9 from two private schools in India. The data were analysed using PLS-SEM 4.0 software. The results indicated that the direct effect of feedback that emphasised process and self-regulation fosters a growth mindset in ESL students. Feedback levels focused on task, process, self-regulation, and growth mindset significantly impact ESL performance. Moreover, growth mindset mediated the relationships between process and self-regulation-focused feedback and ESL performance. However, no evidence supports the relationship between self-focused feedback, growth mindset, and ESL performance. The study concludes with implications and directions for future research.

Background As Industry 4.0 debuted roughly a decade ago, it is now necessary to examine how it affects various aspects of the discipline. It is the responsibility of the education sector to guarantee that the next generation is equipped mentally, physically, and cognitively to face unforeseen challenges. Numerous educational institutions are outfitted with Industry 4.0 technology-based learning. Industry 4.0 fosters advancements in learning methodologies, especially for language enhancements. Learners may gain knowledge at their base, providing them an opportunity for independent study. The majority of subjects have been acquired through Industry 4.0. This research chapter explores the intersection of Industry 4.0 and education, specifically focusing on the SmallTalk AI tool. It investigates how technological and digital innovations within the context of Industry 4.0 can serve as powerful tools to enhance language learning outcomes. Methods This article presents a comprehensive analysis of statistical data and empirical evidence to support the positive impact of Industry 4.0 technology of SmallTalk on language acquisition particularly speaking. The study also determines the relationship among participants’ usage through the technology acceptance model (TAM). Furthermore, it examines the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating these innovations into language learning pedagogies, offering insights for educators and policymakers to harness the potential of Industry 4.0 in fostering language proficiency. The research employs quantitative analysis. The data obtained from educational institutions has been analyzed using the SPSS and AMOS software. Results The results indicate that Industry 4.0 has had an important effect on English language acquisition. This self-supported adaptable system of education facilitates effective student learning. This study also suggests that future research into the utility of Industry 4.0 be conducted elsewhere internationally.

AbstractEnglish is globally recognized as the dominant language for communication, playing a vital role in various fields. With the increasing interconnectivity and automation of the 21st century, the demand for professional English communication skills has risen worldwide. Multimedia learning has become crucial for engaging and motivating learners, aligning with Education 4.0 principles. This study explores the potential of the Education 4.0 tool ELSA (English Language Speech Assistance) app, which utilizes AI and speech recognition to enhance professional English communication skills among Business school students. The research utilized a cross-sectional survey approach with purposive sampling targeting Business school students, with 206 participants. Over a four-week intervention period, the students were guided to explore the ELSA application as per the study plan. After the intervention, the students’ perceptions were gathered and analyzed using the statistical tool SPSS version 21. The study’s novelty lies in combining multimedia learning with the Education 4.0 tool ELSA to enhance Professional English Communication skills. Results indicate that multimedia learning and ELSA significantly improve communication skills, motivation, engagement and learning outcomes. Further research is needed to address limitations and expand these findings.

This paper aims to analyze the impact of body dissatisfaction on communication competencies among engineering college students and to put forth remedial strategies. As body dissatisfaction is still a grey area in research-related communication competencies, the researchers have focused on this arena. Sixty-one heterogeneous participants (male = 30 and female = 31) from one of the private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, India, participated during the summer semester. The judgment under the nonprobability sampling technique was used. Moreover, rubrics were developed with four parameters: color complex, consciousness over their physique, shame and guilt, self-blaming, and lamentation. In addition, class observation techniques were used based on the aforementioned rubrics; the students accessed their classroom presentation using an evaluation sheet derived from the rubrics. The result revealed that around 70% of the participants suffered from body dissatisfaction, while the degree ranges from minimum to maximum levels. This hampers their effective communication and self-expression. With a holistic approach that combines mental health support, awareness-building workshops, peer mentorship, and communication skills training, the participants are mitigated by the impact of body dissatisfaction on communication within the student cohort. Background: Various educational methods have been used by professional physical therapy teachers for their students. Since physical therapy includes both theory and practical, students may need to critically think about each patient's intervention based on the stage of their illness. It is necessary to teach and assess students' clinical reasoning abilities, so as to deal with the patients. The aim of the study was to find the impact of evidence-based pedagogical approach on clinical reasoning among undergraduate physical therapy students. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted in our institution and it was a pre- and post-test experimental study design. Forty students in their 3rd year of undergraduate physical therapy (BPT) degree program were randomly assigned to experimental group (evidence-based pedagogical approach, n = 20) and to control group (traditional pedagogical approach, n = 20). They were assessed with Self-Assessment of Clinical Reflection and Reasoning (SACRR), clinical reasoning assessment tool (CRAT) (3 domains), and multiple-choice test, at the baseline and after 4 weeks of training. Data were analyzed using an independent t -test. Results: Experimental group showed a significant difference in SACRR (t = 3.4446, P < 0.05), CRAT (Content knowledge and Conceptual reasoning domains showed significant differences with t = 3.2110; 2.7973, P <0.05, but Procedural knowledge domain was not significant with t = 0.7791, P <0.05), and multiple-choice test (t = 5.8538, P < 0.05) scores than the control group. Conclusions: The use of evidence-based pedagogical approach may be more effective than the traditional pedagogical approach for improving clinical reasoning among undergraduate physical therapy students. In the present era, women-owned firms are one of India’s fastest increasing entrepreneurial communities in the form of women entrepreneurs. The objective of the study is to identify the factors that influence women’s entrepreneurial orientation and firms’ performance. The research study discusses the influencing factors and their effect on firms’ performance and satisfaction in this regard. The proposed framework and hypotheses have been tested using data gathered from boutiques, beauty parlors, carpet manufacturers, and retail shops in Karnataka, India. Data analysis was done using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate techniques. In Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), paths were created for evaluating the cause-and-effect relationship between different factors viz., social, psychological, financial, and resource factors and entrepreneurial performance and satisfaction. Seven relationships were significant, while two relationships were insignificant in this structural equation. The key finding of the paper is that all factors have a significant impact on the firm’s performance. The implications of research results for researchers and practitioners are discussed, and suggestions have also been made.

This paper focuses on the influence of ramp locations upstream of a strut-based scramjet combustor under reacting flow conditions that are numerically investigated. In contrast, a computational study is adopted using Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) equations with the Shear Stress Transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model. The numerical results of the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt or German Aerospace Centre (DLR) scramjet model are validated with the reported experimental values that show compliance within the range, indicating that the adopted simulation method can be extended for other investigations as well. The performance of the ramps in the strut-based scramjet combustor is analyzed based on parameters such as wall pressures, combustion efficiency and total pressure loss at various axial locations of the combustor. From the numerical shadowgraph, more shock interactions are observed upstream of the strut injection region for the ramp cases, which decelerates the flow downstream, and additional shock reflections with less intensity are also noticed when compared with the DLR scramjet model. The shock reflection due to the ramps enhances the hydrogen distribution in the spatial direction. The ignition delay is noticed for ramp combustors due to the deceleration of flow compared to the baseline strut only scramjet combustor. However, a higher flame temperature is observed with the ramp combustor. Because more shock interactions arise from the ramps, a marginal increase in the total pressure loss is observed for ramp combustors when compared to the baseline model.

The utilization of energy is on the rise in current trends due to increasing consumptions by households. Smart buildings, on the other hand, aim to optimize energy, and hence, the aim of the study is to forecast the cost of energy consumption in smart buildings by effectively addressing the minimal energy consumption. However, smart buildings are restricted, with limited power access and capacity associated with Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units. It further suffers from low communication capability due to device limitations. In this paper, a balanced deep learning architecture is used to offer solutions to address these constraints. The deep learning algorithm considers three constraints, such as a multi-objective optimization problem and a fitness function, to resolve the price management problem and high-level energy consumption in HVAC systems. The study analyzes and optimizes the consumption of power in smart buildings by the HVAC systems in terms of power loss, price management and reactive power. Experiments are conducted over various scenarios to check the integrity of the system over various smart buildings and in high-rise buildings. The results are compared in terms of various HVAC devices on various metrics and communication protocols, where the proposed system is considered more effective than other methods. The results of the Li-Fi communication protocols show improved results compared to the other communication protocols.

The energy market is gradually changing from centralized trading to peer-to-peer trading due to the tremendous increase in a microgrid with green energy resources. When more generating units are included in the microgrid, the possibilities of more reactive power flows exist in the system that leads to high transmission loss which has to be optimized. The reactive power is one of the essential ancillary services in the microgrid towards preserving the voltage in the transmission and distribution line. The major contribution of the paper is towards managing the ancillary service in the distributed energy network economically and technically. This study aims to estimate and optimize the power loss, reactive power, and price management as well. Towards optimization, the self-balanced differential evolution algorithm (SBDE) is used in this study. A distribution system operator is involved in coordinating the sellers and buyers. The proposed layered microgrid architecture uses the blockchain technology for reactive power price management by providing transparency and security among peers. The process of converging various transactions into a block and adding in the distributed blockchain is illustrated. Multiple transactions are performed by using the proposed methodology, giving efficient energy transaction. The results show that the power loss is minimized using SBDE algorithm for different cases. Additionally, the study has demonstrated the price allocation of the optimal reactive power obtained from providers. The blockchain technology embedded in reactive power pricing will play a significant role in the evolution of traditional power distribution systems to active distribution networks.

The severe consequences of climate change have left many unanswered questions about the environmental performance of businesses. Appropriate measures must be taken to tackle the problems conquered due to climate change. This study supports exploring the factors needed to get the Employees Environmental Performance (EEP). It includes Green Human Resources (GHR), Green Creativity (GC) and Proactive Environmental Management (PEM). The relationship among the variables was explored in the existing literature. This study aims to test the relationship between GHR and GC. Further, it also examined the mediating role of GC and moderating role of PEM. For this purpose, data were collected from employees of manufacturing companies (automobiles, food processing, chemicals, textiles, machinery and equipment) in India. More specifically, ISO 14001-certified companies were selected. Among the different institutions, 35 are manufacturing in India. Out of 35, 24 companies agreed to conduct a survey in their company. Totally 5376 employees were considered as a population for the study. With 95% confidence interval, 400 samples were selected, and a questionnaire was distributed among them using simple random sampling. 305 (76.25%) cases finalized for further analysis. The collected data analyzed using PLS-SEM with R software. The results highlighted the essential role of GHR practices in the manufacturing industry to enhance EEP since GHR positively influences EEP. Moreover, it was found that GC partially mediates the relationship between GHR and EEP. It indicates the importance of GC's existence in increasing EEP through GHR. Finally, it was also found that PEM moderates the relationship between GHR and EEP. It suggested the role of pro-environmental management and their active pace in improving EEP. Women's empowerment is a worldwide issue addressed by the government in every country. It has been the main agenda point discussed in all government plans. In India, we aim to achieve women's empowerment and gender equity, one of the sustainable development goals to be achieved by 2030. Women's empowerment is achieved by creating a conducive social environment that facilitates individual or collective decision-making for social transformation. This can be achieved by looking at women's empowerment from a psychological perspective. This study aims to find the impact of institutional culture on the psychological empowerment of women faculty in higher education institutions. It also aims to find suitable institutional culture types to enhance women's psychological empowerment in institutions. This study was developed based on self-determination theory proposed by Edward Deci and Richard Ryan in 1985. Descriptive research was conducted, and quantitative analysis was carried out with IBM SPSS and AMOS version 23. A sample of 385 women faculty working in higher education institutions in India was contacted to collect primary data. Structural equation modeling was used to test the proposed model, and it was found to be acceptable. Statistical analysis of the data reveals that there exists a strong positive relationship between dimensions of institutional culture and psychological empowerment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The current study focuses on the effects of English language instruction using Education 4.0 in Telangana's engineering institutions. Telangana has many educational facilities that offer Education 4.0, or technology-based learning. It fosters creativity in education. At the fundamental level, students can learn by being provided with a self-learning opportunity. The majority of the subjects were learned through Education 4.0. As a result, Telangana kids also learn English via Education 4.0, which has an effect. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how Education 4.0 has affected Telangana's English language instruction. In Telangana's engineering institutions, survey-based research has been done for this aim. The analysis used in the study is quantitative. The data gathered from the chosen educational institutions were analysed using SPSS software. The findings indicate that adopting Education 4.0 as a tool has considerably influenced English language acquisition. The kids benefit from excellent learning thanks to its self-supporting, stretchable learning system. Due to globalization, business collaborations are made throughout the world. Many industries have started adopting new technologies to make their work easier. Therefore, preparing students for the future workforce is necessary. This can only be achieved only by adopting a new education system. The new education system that supports technologies is known as Education 4.0. Education 4.0, which is sustainable, is a self-based education that adopts AI for learning. Exploring many new technologies and English communication is important for anyone entering the workforce in the future. This study aims at developing Business English communication using Education 4.0. ELSA is one of the applications that supports Education 4.0. The novelty of the current study is that ELSA is used for developing Business English communication. This quantitative study employed a quasi-experimental research design, and a purposive-sampling method was used for selecting the participants. Management students from business schools were selected for this research. Ninety-nine students participated in this study. Later, a pre-test was conducted using a questionnaire. Data were collected and documented. The intervention was carried out for four weeks and adopted Education 4.0. After the intervention period, a post-test was conducted using another questionnaire to check for improvement. The pre-test and post-test data of the participants were compared and analyzed in SPSS using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that listening skills were greatly improved using Education 4.0, which is also important for enhancing other skills, and the participants benefited from using Education 4.0. Background: Corona virus disease (covid-19) is a contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2(sars-cov-2) which causes infection in nose, sinuses or upper throat and lungs. Recommended preventive measures include vaccination, wearing mask in public, social distancing ventilation and hand washing. Among which Face mask has its importance in protecting people from the corona virus disease. Prolonged usage (>8h) of mask (in office workers, college students, health workers) has been associated with complaints of headache, as well as an increase in perceived exertion and perceived shortness of breath. Objective: This study aimed to find out the effect of prolonged use of facemask among health science students during COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: A cross sectional study conducted among 101 health science students. A validated self-administered questionnaire consists of 3 components such as satisfaction of wearing masks, site of pain, and severity of pain was distributed among the students. Both genders age range from 18 to 25 and who wear N95 and surgical masks were included in this study. Completed questionnaire were analyzed statistically. Results: The obtained result shows that the quantification of pain felt by students only mild pain was common and it was 57.42%, moderate (36.63%) and severe (1.98%) pain. Conclusion: Even though masks have become an essential part of daily life, extended use and the material of facemasks play a vital role in producing significant discomfort in all participants throughout their lengthy use, which requires careful consideration in everyday life. Women's marginalization and helplessness are mirrored in all the views they are required to talk about, and they are speaking. Speaking in a way that is not proper for women, avoiding expressing strong emotions, favouring expressions of uncertainty, and elaborating on ways to explain ideas that are judged "trivial" to the "real" world Speech about women implies an object whose sexual nature necessitates euphemism, and whose social positions are derived and dependent about males. Thus, women's identity is linguistically obscured; language works against treating women as important individuals with unique viewpoints. In this paper, the aspects of gender cover both the cultural and social strengths of a woman in this society. In general, the language deals with the adaptability of women in terms of gender, activities, and thoughts in their respective societies. Violence remains one of modern society's most pressing global public health issues. As a result, the current study's objective is to examine the text, The Gypsy Goddess, in the concept of Structural Violence, which is one of the most lethal forms of violence, from a broader perspective in terms of political, economic, gender and health aspects. The methodology of the study incorporates a documentary text, The Gypsy Goddess by Meena Kandasamy, which aids with the illustrations of actual records and a survey of the victims of the Kilvenmani massacre, which happened in the state of Tamil Nadu, India, in which poor agricultural peasants were burned alive by wealthy landlords. The study's major findings offer a comprehensive look at the physical and psychological causes and consequences of underlying Structural Violence processes worldwide with reference to the select text. According to the text, the study's findings suggest that structural violence contributing factors are multifaceted and systemic. Besides, it reveals that people's collective efforts, combined with modified legal interventions, can help combat Structural Violence by creating awareness and providing impoverished communities with adequate services and resources. Language becomes the vulnerable person's first offensive weapon, one that will spark a debate, show shortcomings, and compel others to take sides. It is a fundamental medium for engagement and communication. It not only represents and interprets facts and observations, but it also has an impact on people's views and actions because it is an integral aspect of society's cultural conditions. As a result, the current research will concentrate on the language and linguistics aspects of notable Indian writer Meena Kandasamy and her well-known works such as Touch (2006), Ms. Militancy (2010), The Gypsy Goddess (2014) and When I Hit You (2017). The study's findings reveal that Kandasamy's work transcends the boundaries of postcolonial mobility and diversity by demonstrating the material and the subject matter's resolute tenacity, authenticity, and rawness. Women Identities have been represented with less calibre and competencies in Indian tradition and culture. These manifestations had huge implications on culture, traditions and family legacies across India. Sita, most illustrious and powerful women in Indian culture, has been provided a traditional and family-oriented role. This research paper is an investigation in to the purposive gender manifestation of Sita in Ramayana and its implications for Indian society, culture and women. The study concludes that women have been provided feminine and submissive roles by Male chauvinist tradition started from Rama, has transformed in 20th century, with the emergence of New modern Sita for Indian society. Tank systems are essential for the agricultural growth and the livelihood of rural populations in India. Comprehending the multiple benefits from these traditional systems, tank rehabilitation has been one of the policy significances at the state level. The study was undertaken with the objective of assessing the impact of tank rehabilitation on cropped area, cropping pattern change, cost returns and income of farmers in a selected study village of south Tamil Nadu. The study was conducted on the basis of primary data obtained from 102 sample farmers belonging to “Pelasur” village of Thiruvannamalai district in south Tamil Nadu using a stratified sampling method. There was a significant difference in the cropped area, cropping intensity and irrigation intensity among the farmers before and after tank rehabilitation. It is found that there is an increase of 41.02 ha cultivated area and an increase in the net amount of Rs. 7,99,945. Many farmers shifted from paddy to sugarcane (cash crops) cultivation due to the availability of excess surface water in the tank and improved water table in their wells. Cropping intensity has been increased to 26% in the post-rehabilitation period. Thus, investment in tank rehabilitation shows a positive implication on marginal farmers and landless labours. Education 4.0 is an approach to learning which developed with the arrival of fourth Industrial Revolution in order to shape the future of education by integrating advanced technology and automation. Creativity is the primary focus of Education 4.0. It prepares the students to face the challenges of industrial world through novel methods and aids of learning. Education 4.0 grants space to the independent professionalism to work in the digital environment and the leaners to get the experience of experiential learning. English language grabs a pivotal role in all the aspects of life, and has dominated the sectors such as medicine, law, education and engineering undoubtedly. English language acts as a tool in transacting and disseminating the knowledge of scientific advancements and other domains. As a vehicle, English language has occupied a dominating position in the field of education, and this demands the students to be proficient in English language skills. To achieve this target, today's English teachers adopt different English language teaching methods across the globe. Education 4.0 is one such method of English language teaching and learning adopted by many teachers and students. The present research intends to determine the participation of the students in improving their English language abilities using Education 4.0. It attempts to examine the English Language Learning of Engineering students of Warangal using Education 4.0 and its impact on their language acquisition. Two tanks were selected from rural and peri-urban area of Tamilnadu respectively. Both tanks were rehabilitated with government fund for improving agricultural activities. This study attempts to find the increased cultivated area in both the villages during post rehabilitation period. Statistical package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 23.0) is used to analyse the data collected through questionnaire. Paired sample t-test is selected as a tool to compare the pre and post figures. Result shows that there is a significant difference in total cultivated area at 1% level in rural village and 5% level in peri-urban village during pre and post rehabilitation period. Rehabilitation of hemi-maxillectomy defects is difficult and challenging when there is displacement of obturator prosthesis. The literature lacks data on the displacement of different types of obturators. The intent of the study was to evaluate the differences in displacement between the single and two piece hollow bulb obturator prosthesis in Aramany Class I maxillectomy defect. Finite element (FE) model of Aramany Class I maxillectomy defect restored with single and two piece closed bulb obturator was fabricated based on patient computed tomography (CT) scan. Finite element analysis (FEA) with three different load applications was done to measure the displacement of the obturator. Graphical and numerical values of displacement were obtained and the results were tabulated. The results were obtained as displacement colour images and the numerical displacement values. The displacement of two piece obturator was 4.779e−8, 6.372e−8, 7.965e−8 compared to single piece obturator 4.509e−8, 6.012e−8, and 7.5151e−8. There was marginal numerical increase in magnitude of displacement in two piece obturator compared to single piece obturator. The study observed no significant difference in displacement between the obturator. The numerical difference in displacement is more in two piece obturator compared to the single piece obturator. In the third millennium, the growth of urbanization is rapid, especially the fast developing country like India move faster towards urbanization, which is lopsided with the expansion of slums. This scoping review aims to present the socio-economic, hygiene and nutritional status of the slums in India. The methodology of the study analyses the previous studies on the selected research problem in back-and-forth method. Through intense and diverse studies, this paper has arrived at the results that the socio-economic status of the Indian slums is very low. The hygiene and sanitation of those slums are in need of an immediate call. Above all, the nutritional status of the slum dwellers, especially the women and children is terrifically low. The permanent functionalization of synthetic fibers and especially of polyethylene fibers (PE fibers) is usually difficult, because the synthetic fiber surface does not contain many functional groups for fixation of finishing agents. For this, the aim of the now presented paper is to report of a functionalization process for PE fibers using the polyelectrolyte polyvinylamine (commercially also named as Lupamin™). The polyvinylamine is applied in a HT process (HT for high temperature process using process temperatures of 95 to 140 °C) and usable to work as anchor for further applied negatively charged functionalizing agents as demonstrated in the current study with acid dyes. Also demonstrated is excellent antibacterial activity againstE. coliandS. aureusby simple polyvinylamine application onto PE fibers. This reported method has a high potential for the functionalization of PE fibers and could lead in future to appropriate industrial applications using functionalized PE fibers. There has been reported in a few case reports of increasing association between DPP-4 inhibitor use and bullous pemphigoid (BP). In the present era, women-owned firms are one of India's fastest increasing entrepreneurial communities in the form of women entrepreneurs. The objective of the study is to identify the factors that influence women's entrepreneurial orientation and firms' performance. The research study discusses the influencing factors and their effect on firms' performance and satisfaction in this regard. The proposed framework and hypotheses have been tested using data gathered from boutiques, beauty parlors, carpet manufacturers, and retail shops in Karnataka, India. Data analysis was done using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate techniques. In Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), paths were created for evaluating the cause-and-effect relationship between different factors viz., social, psychological, financial, and resource factors and entrepreneurial performance and satisfaction. Seven relationships were significant, while two relationships were insignificant in this structural equation. The key finding of the paper is that all factors have a significant impact on the firm's performance. The utilization of energy is on the rise in current trends due to increasing consumptions by households. Smart buildings, on the other hand, aim to optimize energy, and hence, the aim of the study is to forecast the cost of energy consumption in smart buildings by effectively addressing the minimal energy consumption. However, smart buildings are restricted, with limited power access and capacity associated with Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units. It further suffers from low communication capability due to device limitations. In this paper, a balanced deep learning architecture is used to offer solutions to address these constraints. The deep learning algorithm considers three constraints, such as a multi-objective optimization problem and a fitness function, to resolve the price management problem and high-level energy consumption in HVAC systems. The study analyzes and optimizes the consumption of power in smart buildings by the HVAC systems in terms of power loss, price management and reactive power. Experiments are conducted over various scenarios to check the integrity of the system over various smart buildings and in high-rise buildings. The results are compared in terms of various HVAC devices on various metrics and communication protocols, where the proposed system is considered more effective than other methods. This paper focuses on the influence of ramp locations upstream of a strut-based scramjet combustor under reacting flow conditions that are numerically investigated. In contrast, a computational study is adopted using Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) equations with the Shear Stress Transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model. The numerical results of the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt or German Aerospace Centre (DLR) scramjet model are validated with the reported experimental values that show compliance within the range, indicating that the adopted simulation method can be extended for other investigations as well. The performance of the ramps in the strut-based scramjet combustor is analyzed based on parameters such as wall pressures, combustion efficiency and total pressure loss at various axial locations of the combustor. From the numerical shadowgraph, more shock interactions are observed upstream of the strut injection region for the ramp cases, which decelerates the flow downstream, and additional shock reflections with less intensity are also noticed when compared with the DLR scramjet model. The shock reflection due to the ramps enhances the hydrogen distribution in the spatial direction. The ignition delay is noticed for ramp combustors due to the deceleration of flow compared to the baseline strut only scramjet combustor. However, a higher flame temperature is observed with the ramp combustor. Because more shock interactions arise from the ramps, a marginal increase in the total pressure loss is observed for ramp combustors when compared to the baseline model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The energy market is gradually changing from centralized trading to peer-to-peer trading due to the tremendous increase in a microgrid with green energy resources. When more generating units are included in the microgrid, the possibilities of more reactive power flows exist in the system that leads to high transmission loss which has to be optimized. The reactive power is one of the essential ancillary services in the microgrid towards preserving the voltage in the transmission and distribution line. The major contribution of the paper is towards managing the ancillary service in the distributed energy network economically and technically. This study aims to estimate and optimize the power loss, reactive power, and price management as well. Towards optimization, the self-balanced differential evolution algorithm (SBDE) is used in this study. A distribution system operator is involved in coordinating the sellers and buyers. The proposed layered microgrid architecture uses the blockchain technology for reactive power price management by providing transparency and security among peers. The process of converging various transactions into a block and adding in the distributed blockchain is illustrated. Multiple transactions are performed by using the proposed methodology, giving efficient energy transaction. The results show that the power loss is minimized using SBDE algorithm for different cases. Additionally, the study has demonstrated the price allocation of the optimal reactive power obtained from providers. The blockchain technology embedded in reactive power pricing will play a significant role in the evolution of traditional power distribution systems to active distribution networks. Chondrosarcomas are the most common malignant tumors of the cartilage, are seen predominantly in adults, and have varied clinical behavior. The majority of them affect the medullary canal of long bones and pelvic bones. The prognosis of chondrosarcoma is closely related to histological grading; however, the grading is subject to interobserver variability. Conventional chondrosarcomas are overall considered to be chemotherapy- and radiation-resistant, resulting in limited treatment options. The majority of advanced conventional chondrosarcomas are treated with chemotherapy without any survival benefit. Recent studies have evaluated molecular genetic findings which have improved the understanding of chondrosarcoma biology. Newer therapeutic targets are desperately needed.
