Nif (Olympos) Mountain is a wide archaeological site in west Anatolia (Turkey). Surface investigations and excavations have been done in the area since 12 years. The magnetic method as a geophysical prospection method was applied on an area of 500 m2. This method was chosen because such a prospecting technique provides a great amount of high-resolution magnetic data in a very short time. A correlation could be made between the derivative methods used in this study. Analytic signal (AS) method revealed not only grave but also surrounding stones. The total derivative method could not separate stones and grave. Normalised Standard Total Derivation (NSTD) method gave similar results with AS. Magnetic investigations in Dagkizilca sector of Nif (Olympos) Mountain revealed some interesting results. We expected all anomalies to belong to buried archaeological materials in this area due to the surface disturbances of this site The data processing identified interesting magnetic anomalies that lead to test excavations, which in turn resulted to the unearthing of a grave, as well as, illegal intervening by antiquity robbers. In 1463, construction was underway on the Fatih Mosque in Istanbul by Sultan Mehmet II. According to one of the Sultan's ambassadors, the Mosque was located "in the best site of the city." The site of the new mosque was the Church of the Holy Apostles, which had served as a site of Byzantine imperial ceremony. While the circumstances of its destruction remain murky, Israel argues that the demolition of the church was subsumed into the rhetoric of conflict as Mehmet conquered Venetian territory along the Adriatic, and as Pope Pius II tried to stir enthusiasm for a crusade. Against this backdrop of political strife, this article explores the reproduction and redefinition of the Church of the Holy Apostles through traces of its relics and architectural forms as the Republic again redefined their relationship with the Byzantine Empire, claiming inheritance over its patrimony. The article presents several discoveries which includes a carved stone found near an old church in Temple, Midlothian, Scotland which is associated with the Knights Templar. It mentions that in July 2009, a hoard of Anglo-Saxon artifacts was recovered by Terry Herbert in the former Kingdom of Mercia in Staffordshire, England. Meanwhile, a new documentary, "Ayasofya'nin Derinliklerinde" (In the Depths of Hagia Sophia) by Göksel Gülensoy which focuses on the reservoirs of Hagia Sophia in Iznik, Turkey is being filmed. It also cites the discovery of medieval saint relics by Professor Nikolay Ovcharov with Bulgarian archeologists. Moreover, the discovery of a mass dial at Firth of Forth in Scotland implies that the Augustinian canons measured time utilizing the mass dial.

The article focuses on the 10-century Limburg Staurotheke or container of the most powerful relic of the empire, which was kept in the Byzantine palace in Constantinople, Turkey. An author of an article about Byzantium is said to argue that the future of the field depends on the discovery and exploration of its links with the East, such as Islam and China. The luxury box has been commissioned by a leading eunuch Basil Lekapenos who placed a metric inscription on its cover. It has been argued that through its decoration and poetic epigram, the container has established a parallel between the relationship of eunuch and emperor and between the container and the relic.
