Background and Objective: Co-authorship on writing articles is one of the indicators of reliability in scientific articles. Due to the lack of information regarding to the rate of participation of the authors of articles in the "Iranian Journal of Pathology" this research with the aim of the survey of collaborative coefficients of article authors in this Journal from 2006 to 2012 was performed. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional research was performed. The study population consisted of all articles published in the years studied. Totally 288 printed articles in terms of number and sexes of authors were recognized and collaborative coefficient between the authors was calculated. The data were collected by referring to the original articles and Excel software was used for data entry. Data analysis with using descriptive statistics and collaborative coefficient formula was worked out. Results: Altogether 288 articles had 1078 authors. Average number of authors was 3.75 ± 1.65 and the maximum number of articles was written by three authors. Collaborative coefficient in 2008 was seen as higher ratio of collaboration between article authors. Average collaborative coefficient of authors in research years was 0.69 which demonstrated willingness to cooperate between authors of this journal. Conclusion: It seems that the collaboration between article authors of pathology is high. However considering that participation lead to increase the quality of research activities, encourage researchers to collaborate in scientific research can enhance the quality of articles. The article presents a report from the editor-in chief of the "Journal of Agricultural Economics (JEA)" concerning the number in submissions of papers to the journal for 2008. It shows that the submission has increased, even without corresponding increase in accepted papers. It notes that response times continue to meet the target of four months, with some regrettable lapses. Moreover, Willey Blackwell continues to provide a strong publishing platform with the full archive of JEA papers.

During the period June 1955 to May 1956, 779 pages of editorial matter were published. Of this total 460 pages were of articles, 207 pages were book reviews and book notes, 61 pages were official reports and news, and the remainder 51 pages were miscellaneous. In the indicated period 288 papers were received and 72 published. As was the case for the two years preceding, about one article was published for every four received. The average time between the receipt of an article and final action upon it was approximately seven weeks. Once again the constructively critical work led to the successful revision of a number of papers that might otherwise have proved unavailable for publication. The average interval between the acceptance of a paper and its publication was approximately five months, with a range of three to nine months. This article presents information about the recycled paper used by the Ecological Society of America for publishing the journal "Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment." From August 2005, the Society have started to print the journal on 100% recycled, 10% post-consumer waste, acid-free, processed chlorine-free paper. The new paper is manufactured by American Eagle, a small mill which makes only recycled paper. The cover page of the journal also uses a 50% recycled, 15% post-consumer sheet, treated with an aqueous glaze, and it is also fully recyclable.
