Abstract
The Romantic physiologist William Lawrence once defined life as the relation between the functions of the parts of a living organism. Relationality is central to organic, or living, form, and this paper expands the consideration of organic form in Life: Organic Form and Romanticism to the practice of literary criticism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
The article reviews several books including "The Keats Brothers: The Life of John and George," by Denise Gigante, "The Romanticism Handbook," edited by Sue Chaplin and Joel Faflak, and "The Unparallel Lives of Three Medical Students: John Keats, Henry Stephens & George Wilson Mackereth," by William S. Pierpoint.
