Abstract
Neutron beams are used in a wide range of applications, mainly aimed at determining and understanding the properties of condensed matter. This paper describes one such proposed compact neutron source, ARGITU, a unique and versatile accelerator-driven neutron source being proposed by ESS Bilbao. As aforementioned, the neutron source configured with beryllium target will produce ~10 SP 14 sp n s SP -1 sp , being therefore considered as a medium flux neutron source. [Extracted from the article]
