Calibration Certificates (CC) are essential for maintaining the accuracy of measurement instruments, which in turn are necessary to maintain the quality of products and services. Such certificates are mainly used in legal metrology for quality audits, accreditation and examination processes; and also in the operational metrology to adjust measurement results according to device uncertainty. Paper-based CC (PCC) or a digital copy of the paper format has been successfully used for this purpose for many decades. However, the PCC starts to fail short with the emergence of new technologies and applications that require automated creation, processing and updates of the calibration certificates. The last years have witnessed an intense effort on digital transformation in metrology and especially developing Digital Calibration Certificates (DCC). Until recently, we noticed the lack of agreement on the nature and the usage of such important new metrology artifacts as well as some repetition in the work by different researchers. To help reaching a minimum consensus on the subject, we present in this paper, a thorough analysis of the calibration certificate and the calibration process. Besides that, we aim by this work to provide an overview of the carried research on that point to help peer researchers to view the big picture and to avoid wasting their efforts in repeating same work on same ideas. Consequently, they can recognize the peer researchers and organizations working on the same topics, find available resources, identify research gaps and identify the best potential directions of their efforts as well. Finally, our paper aims also to establish a bridge between the metrological concepts and information technology concepts such that more computer science researchers can be involved in solving the problem. In the 21st century, as part of the fourth industrial revolution, artificial intelligence (AI), is one of the most important and well-known technology. AI also has made it possible to execute human tasks without the need for humans. However, there is one important concern with consciousness. This is because consciousness is one of the most defining qualities between AI and humans. So, this study presents a literature review and bibliometric analysis of artificial and mind consciousness research around the world from 2000 to 2022 in order to provide researchers and scholars around the world with an overview of the results and trends in artificial and mind consciousness research. A textual query on two databases; Scopus (289 papers), and Web of Science (303 papers) using the term "artificial consciousness" OR "mind consciousness" was performed on 10 June 2022 retrieving 509 scholarly papers from 2000 to 2022 related to artificial and mind consciousness studies for in-depth analysis. Bibliometric analysis were performed using Rstudio software version 4.2.0 and biblioshiniy for bibliometrix to visualize and analyze trends of artificial and mind consciousness research. This bibliometric analysis was analyzed the annual scientific publication growth, the most productive authors, most frequent word has been using, most famous journal name, and which countries has highest collaboration with other country. According to the findings of the analysis, there is significant inconsistency in global trends in annual scientific production, with the number of publications increasing and decreasing. Among all countries, United States (USA) contributed the most publications in the field of artificial and mind consciousness research. According to the findings has show the most relevant authors is Kelley TM (Scopus), and Patel AD (WoS). Moreover, the most relevant journals articles in artificial and mind consciousness studies is Procedia Computer Science (Scopus), and Journal Of Consciousness Studies (WoS). The implication of this study is can help new researchers in this field by providing information on relevant publications and authors to consult when conducting research on this topic. Furthermore, this research helps other researchers understand current trends in this area of study. As a result, the justification for doing this study is to provide the first bibliometric analysis and to fill research gaps in bibliometric studies of artificial consciousness and the mind by providing information in the form of a literature review, overview, and guidelines. The development of system‐of‐systems (SoS) requires a continuous interplay between design decisions on the SoS level and those on the level of its constituent systems (CS), which often preexist and need to be adapted as the SoS evolves. This involves not only preparing the CS to participate in a particular SoS, but also designing the CS architecture to make it easily adaptable to a future SoS context. The problem is in part addressed in an emerging SoS framework in the manufacturing domain called Industry 4.0. It focuses on connected and digitalized production with the ambition of increasing flexibility and efficiency. This paper investigates how Industry 4.0 standards can be used in an SoS context to make CS more flexible and adaptive, and evaluates their usefulness outside manufacturing. The study is based on a case from the construction domain, for which a generic SoS architecture is developed. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a broad discipline that uses powerful algorithms to emulate important aspects of human intelligence. Provided by the Industry 4.0 revolution, AI is increasingly applied in different fields from research to production. One of these fields is Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) which studies the relationships between processing, structure, properties, and performance of materials. The application of AI to MSE has triggered the invention of new materials to satisfy the demanding requirements in myriad sectors through the years. In this context, the "MSE paradigm" emerged as a framework to define these relationships supported by the available technologies at the corresponding time. This is how Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC) were synthesized. During the last years, they have turned from a futuristic solution to a necessity due to the wide range of advantages they offer concerning other conventional materials. The present work presents a modified approach to the MSE paradigm with the application of AI algorithms. An overview of the research advances from 2003 to 2019 in each fundamental link of the proposed MSE paradigm for PMC is exhibited in an organized fashion. This article must serve engineers and scientists working at the intersection of mechanical engineering, materials science and computer science to identify trendy topics in these fields. Industry 4.0, a term invented by Wolfgang Wahlster in Germany, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2021. Still, the digitalization of the production environment is one of the hottest topics in the computer science departments at universities and companies. Optimization of production processes or redefinition of the production concepts is meaningful in light of the current industrial and research agendas. Both the mentioned optimization and redefinition are considered in numerous subtopics and technologies. One of the most significant topics in these areas is the newest findings and applications of artificial intelligence (AI)—machine learning (ML) and deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs). The authors invented a method and device that supports the wiring assembly in the control cabinet production process, namely, the Wire Label Reader (WLR) industrial system. The implementation of this device was a big technical challenge. It required very advanced IT technologies, ML, image recognition, and DCNN as well. This paper focuses on an in-depth description of the underlying methodology of this device, its construction, and foremostly, the assembly industrial processes, through which this device is implemented. It was significant for the authors to validate the usability of the device within mentioned production processes and to express both advantages and challenges connected to such assembly process development. The authors noted that in-depth studies connected to the effects of AI applications in the presented area are sparse. Further, the idea of the WLR device is presented while also including results of DCNN training (with recognition results of 99.7% although challenging conditions), the device implementation in the wire assembly production process, and its users' opinions. The authors have analyzed how the WLR affects assembly process time and energy consumption, and accordingly, the advantages and challenges of the device. Among the most impressive results of the WLR implementation in the assembly process one can be mentioned—the device ensures significant process time reduction regardless of the number of characters printed on a wire. Purpose: Industry 4.0 technologies significantly impact how production is planned, scheduled, and controlled. Literature provides different classifications of the tasks and functions of production planning and control (PPC) like the German Aachen PPC model. This research aims to identify and classify current Industry 4.0 approaches for planning and controlling production processes and to reveal researched and unexplored areas of the model. It extends a reduced version that has been published previously in Procedia Computer Science (Herrmann, Tackenberg, Padoano & Gamber, 2021) by presenting and discussing its results in more detail. Design/methodology/approach: In an exploratory literature review, we review and classify 48 publications on a full-text basis with the Aachen PPC model's tasks and functions. Two cluster analyses reveal researched and unexplored tasks and functions of the Aachen PPC model. Findings: We propose a cyber-physical PPC architecture, which incorporates current Industry 4.0 technologies, current optimization methods, optimization objectives, and disturbances relevant for realizing a PPC system in a smart factory. Current approaches mainly focus on production control using real-time information from the shop floor, part of in-house PPC. We discuss the different layers of the cyber-physical PPC architecture and propose future research directions for the unexplored tasks and functions of the Aachen PPC model. Research limitations/implications: Limitations are the strong dependence of results on search terms used and the subjective eligibility assessment and assignment of publications to the Aachen PPC model. The selection of search terms and the texts' interpretation is based on an individual's assessment. The revelation of unexplored tasks and functions of the Aachen PPC model might have a different outcome if the search term combination is parameterized differently. Originality/value: Using the Aachen PPC model, which holistically models PPC, the findings give comprehensive insights into the current advances of tools, methods, and challenges relevant to planning and controlling production processes under Industry 4.0. In the area of computer sciences there is a rapidly developing subject of mechatronics and robotics since its relevance to the fourth industrial revolution, especially in preprofessional education – schools etc. On the other side, technologies of virtual reality (VR technologies) have been spreading in education so far, including computer sciences and mechatronics and robotics education in Russian leading research universities. In National Research Nuclear University MEPhI we have a broad experience of application of hi-tech in education. In this paper we present the results of our practical research of application of VR instruments in preprofessional education in the area of mechatronics and robotics. One of the features of our research is that we have developed the educational program for obtaining practical skills in the area of VR digital technologies in compliance with the CDIO standards. Digitalization of production environment, also called Industry 4.0 (the term invented by Wahlster Wolfgang in Germany) is now one of the hottest topics in the computer science departments at universities and companies. One of the most significant topics in this area is augmented reality (AR). The interest in AR has grown especially after the introduction of the Microsoft HoloLens in 2016, which made this technology available for researchers and developers all around the world. It is divided into numerous subtopics and technologies. These wireless, see-through glasses give a very natural human-machine interface, with the possibility to present certain necessary information right in front of the user's eyes as 3D virtual objects, in parallel with the observation of the real world, and the possibility to communicate with the system by simple gestures and speech. Scientists noted that in-depth studies connected to the effects of AR applications are presently sparse. In the first part of this paper, the authors recall the research from 2019 about the new method of manual wiring support with the AR glasses. In the second part, the study (tests) for this method carried out by the research team is described. The method was applied in the actual production environment with consideration of the actual production process, which is manual wiring of the industrial enclosures (control cabinets). Process Mining is a new kind of Business Analytics and has emerged as a powerful family of Process Science techniques for analysing and improving business processes. Although Process Mining has managerial benefits, such as better decision making, the scientific literature has investigated it mainly from a computer science standpoint and appears to have overlooked various possible applications. We reviewed management-orientated literature on Process Mining and Business Management to assess the state of the art and to pave the way for further research. We built a seven-dimension framework to develop and guide the review. We selected and analysed 145 papers and identified eleven research gaps sorted into four categories. Our findings were formalised in a structured research agenda suggesting twenty-five research questions. We believe that these questions may stimulate the application of Process Mining in promising, albeit little explored, business contexts and in mostly unaddressed managerial areas. This study sought to determine the employment status of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Graduates at President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) Iba Zambales from 2017-2021. Ad)ditionally, it also analyzed the relevance of the graduate respondents' existing jobs and investigated the causes of their unemployment. The findings of this study will serve as a platform for future studies aimed at identifying the problems that graduates experience when looking for work, evaluating the performance of educators, and refining the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science curricula to align with the requirements of the industry 4.0 era. The researchers administered a survey to collect data on employment and job placement from the respondents. The results revealed that 46.48 percent of graduate respondents were presently employed in rank-and-file or clerical positions, while 36.62% held positions with professional, technical, and administrative roles directly related to their academic background. Additionally, 57.14 percent of unemployed graduate respondents cited their decision of not finding a job as the reason for being unemployed. The graduates were able to utilize the theoretical and technical proficiencies they learned throughout their academic training. The number of studies related to socio-cultural AI (SCAI) is growing dramatically. Therefore, the goal is to perform the first systematic review of the key sources published over the last decade with consequences for social science, humanities, engineering, computer science, and policy research. The novelty of the study is not only the first snapshot of high-ranked articles from seven academic databases but also the revealed and interpreted SCAI research trends with implications for academia and policymaking. Topic modelling is conducted on 607 papers identifying fifteen well-defined fields. Association networks also unfolded trending research areas with smart cities, cultural-creative industries and media. A timeline of the emerging research topics reveals the year of change for SCAI was 2018, mostly with industry 4.0, governing AI, and smart cities. Last but not least, SCAI research for policies is interpreted as a niche for policymaking and academic research funding. The findings summarize the broad coverage of AI technology in society and culture with related research responsibility as underrepresented topics. Implications and weak yet relevant signals are also formulated for academic and policy research. In the Industry 4.0 era, digital tools applied to production and manufacturing activities represent a challenge for companies. Digital Twin (DT) technology is based on the integration of different "traditional" tools, such as simulation modeling and sensors, and is aimed at increasing process performance. In DTs, simulation modeling allows for the building of a digital copy of real processes, which is dynamically updated through data derived from smart objects based on sensor technologies. The use of DT within manufacturing activities is constantly increasing, as DTs are being applied in different areas, from the design phase to the operational ones. This study aims to analyze existing fields of applications of DTs for supporting safety management processes in order to evaluate the current state of the art. A bibliometric review was carried out through VOSviewer to evaluate studies and applications of DTs in the engineering and computer science areas and to identify research clusters and future trends. Next, a bibliometric and systematic review was carried out to deepen the relation between the DT approach and safety issues. The findings highlight that in recent years, DT applications have been tested and developed to support operators during normal and emergency conditions and to enhance their abilities to control safety levels. Current concept, development, and testing applications in production concerning Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), Industry 4.0 (I40), and Internet of Things (IoT) are mainly addressing fully autonomous systems, fostered by an increase in available technologies regarding distributed decision-making, sensors, and actuators for robotics systems. This is applied also to production logistics settings with a multitude of transport tasks, e.g., between warehousing or material supply stations and production locations within larger production sites as for example in the automotive industry. In most cases, mixed environments where automated systems and humans collaborate (e.g., cobots) are not in the center of analysis and development endeavors although the worker's adoption and acceptance of new technologies are of crucial relevance. From an interdisciplinary research perspective, this constitutes an important research gap, as the future challenges for successful automated systems will rely mainly on human-computer interaction (HCI) in connection with an efficient collaboration between motivated workers, automated robotics, and transportation systems. We develop a HCI efficiency description in production logistics based on an interdisciplinary analysis consisting of three interdependent parts: (i) a production logistics literature review and process study, (ii) a computer science literature review and simulation study for an existing autonomous traffic control algorithm applicable to production logistics settings with the specific inclusion of human actors, and (iii) a work science analysis for automation settings referring to theoretical foundations and empirical findings regarding the management of workers in digital work settings.
