After the collapse of the Soviet empire the agenda changed, with social psychologists from both sides of the former divide within Europe attempting to develop a social-psychological perspective on the post-communist countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Various teams of researchers presented their initial findings at the Prague meeting.

From March 27th through 30th, 1985, the Sixth Annual Meeting of the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) will be held at the Marriott Hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. The theme of the meeting is behavioral medicine across the life cycle. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is Monday, September 17, 1984.
