The relationship between digital finance and regional green innovation has been partially confirmed, yet the role of environmental regulation in it remains unexplored. Therefore, this paper examines the impact of digital finance on regional green innovation and tests the moderating role of environmental regulation using Chinese city-level data from 2011 to 2019 as a research sample. The results show that digital finance can significantly promote regional green innovation by alleviating regional financing constraints and increasing regional R&D investment. Besides, digital finance has apparent regional difference effects (the contribution of digital finance to regional green innovation is greater in eastern China than in western China, and the development of digital finance in neighbouring regions has a negative transmission effect on local green innovation). Finally, environmental regulation positively moderates the relationship between digital finance and regional green innovation. As a product of combining digital technology and traditional finance, digital inclusive finance plays a vital role in economic growth. This paper deeply analyzes the impact of digital inclusive finance on economic growth and the specific transmission path. This research selects the municipal panel data of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei from 2011 to 2020 and empirically studies the impact of digital inclusive finance on economic growth. From the perspectives of industrial structure transformation speed, industrial structure upgrading, and industrial structure rationalization, this study analyzes the role of industrial structure in the impact of digital inclusive finance on economic growth and tests the heterogeneity of the impact of digital inclusive finance on economic growth. The results show that digital inclusive finance has a significant role in promoting economic growth. The depth of use of digital inclusive finance has the most significant impact, followed by the breadth of coverage, and the degree of digitization is the smallest. The industrial structure transformation speed and the industrial structure rationalization play a significant intermediary role in the economic growth effect of digital inclusive finance, and the industrial structure upgrading has no significant impact on the economic growth effect of digital inclusive finance; the promotion effect of digital inclusive finance on economic growth is bigger in the economically developed group, the higher digital inclusive finance group and the technologically developed group, and the promotion effect is smaller in the economically underdeveloped group, the lower digital inclusive finance group and the technologically underdeveloped group. Achieving high-quality development of the city requires actively promoting coordinated digitalization and low-carbon development. Previous studies have focused on the unidirectional impact of urban digitalization on low-carbonization and there is a lack of research on their interactions. This study uses the generalized spatial three-stage least squares method and the spatial simultaneous equation to investigate the endogenous interactions between urban digitalization and low-carbonization. The properties of the spatiotemporal evolution are then examined using linked coordination degree models, kernel density, and spatial statistical approaches. Finally, using the spatial panel metering model, this study empirically investigates the motivations behind the synergistic advancement of digitalization and low-carbonization. The results show that: (1) There is an endogenous interaction between urban digitalization and low-carbonization and that this interaction pattern is closely linked to geographical proximity. (2) In general, both urban digitalization and low-carbonization have a positive spatial impact and a negative spatial interaction, and their coordination levels have a significant spatial impact. (3) Throughout the research period, the coordination degree of urban digitalization and low carbonization continued to increase, showing a positive spatial correlation and a balanced development trend. (4) Economic development, industrial structure, and human capital accumulation are vital internal drivers of the synergistic advancement of urban digitalization and low carbonization. Government capacities and technological innovations are key external factors that contribute to the synergistic advancement of urban digitalization and low-carbonization. As we stand on the cusp of what Schwab claims to be the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), the world of work is undergoing a rapid and profound transformation. Zimbabwe strives to ready its labour market for the seismic changes already underway. In order to thrive in the future of work, the World Economic Forum advises that a country must educate its populace in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Unfortunately, Zimbabwean women remain underrepresented in STEM professions, with a mere 28.79 percent of women holding STEM degrees, compared to 71.21 percent of men. These statistics underscore the urgent need to educate more women in STEM fields. This paper addresses the bigger question: "Is Zimbabwe ready for the future of work"? To this end, this paper offers a nuanced analysis of the 4IR and its implications for Zimbabwe's future of work. Drawing on primary and secondary literature, we map out women's barriers and propose strategies to overcome them. This paper uses an integrative literature review, making a valuable novel contribution to the burgeoning literature on the intersection of the 4IR, gender equality and the future of work in Zimbabwe. The paper showcases that Zimbabwe is unprepared for the changing nature of work and needs to increase women's participation in STEM subjects. Financial inclusion has done its best across the world to bring unbanked people to the mainstream of financial and banking services. However, the metamorphosis is slow and needs some shots in the arm. This paper attempts to explore ways to expedite the process of economic development of the poor through financial inclusion. A newer technology, Open API for banking (OAB), can support financial inclusion for economic development and the growth of the poor. There are two main reasons for the success of OAB. Many mobile-based applications use OAB. Therefore, OAB can easily piggyback on the success of mobile penetration. The meager cost and simple technology of OAB is another reason for its success, primarily when OAB is aimed at unbanked people of the world. Structured Equation Modelling is applied to successfully and empirically test the mediation role of OAB between financial inclusion and economic development of the poor. OAB is found to have complete mediation. This work is the only study that links OAB with financial inclusion and the economic development of the poor. OAB stands out among all the other digitalisation tools of financial services due to its exclusive features. OAB has considerable implications to expedite the execution of financial inclusion for the economic development of the poor. But, to extend its full impact on the economic development of the poor, OAB should be clubbed with financial inclusion as a policy. Otherwise, a good opportunity will remain confined mostly as an effective solution for digitalising payment services. The digital divide is supposed to be bridged by OAB. However, this paper has not addressed this issue empirically. Besides this, the synergetic effect of FI and OAB, which is strongly recommended in the study, needs empirical testing. Both the limitation of the study is the future scope of the topic. No other study was observed on the topic, where OAB is suggested to bridge the gap between financial inclusion and economic development of the poor. The study has immense potential to change the course of action of the policy on Financial Inclusion. The digital economy is developing rapidly worldwide, which is of great strategic significance in leading and driving the process of high-quality and high-efficiency development of the economy. It has gradually become a new engine to promote China's economic growth. Therefore, it is vital to establish a digital economy indicator system. In this context, according to the connotation of digital economy, comprehensively consider the four dimensions of digital foundation, digital application, digital innovation and digital benefit, and build a full-scale digital economy indicator system. However, some previous literature proposed operating the K-means clustering algorithm in optimizing the index system. The algorithm, susceptible to the initial selection of cluster center, generates completely different clustering results with other random seed points and is thus unsuitable for optimizing the index system. Based on this, the advantages of GRA, SA, and K-means algorithms are combined to propose a K-means-SA algorithm that can obtain the global optimal solution. Then, by combining the K-means SA algorithm and the rough set algorithm, the constructed index system is further optimized. Ultimately, it establishes a set of all-round, multi-system and multi-dimensional digital economy index systems, which is of great reference significance for formulating relevant policies, provides scientific index support for the subsequent extension of digital economy theory, and promotes the benign growth of the worldwide economy. Digital platforms have proven to be efficient matchmakers in our networked economy and society. However, their tremendous potential is a double-edged sword, and concerns about their malpractices and negative impact have risen remarkably. In the light of practical relevance, research on digital platform regulation (DPR) did not contribute very much. Especially information systems (IS) which, as a discipline, seems predestined to explain the problems at the confluence of technology-economy-society, has barely grazed the issue of DPR. Particularly, a contribution is missing that at least explores the problems with digital platforms systematically and comprehensively. In response to this aim, we pursue a twostep approach: First, we apply qualitative meta-analysis of 211 cases as well as a number of regulation papers and actual regulation endeavors to identify and conceptualize the problem scope and potential regulatory approaches for platform problems. Second, we condense our findings into a conceptual model. Our findings show that digital platforms exploit both platform- and monopoly-related problems to assert themselves in different markets. Through their impactful platform governance, they even have become serious challengers to the regulator in controlling market access, key conditions, and resources. At this, they rely on the efficient use of data and digital technologies to effectively orchestrate platform agents and their transactions. The outcome of the paper is a set of two structured instruments that fill a void in interdisciplinary research and provide support to DPR practitioners for a systematic approach to regulation. China's digital economy development is a strategic decision to construct a new development model for the nation's economic growth and to pave the way to fostering high-quality economic growth. Since the Chinese government first introduced its strategy for developing digital economy in 2016, the Chongqing Municipal Government has responded positively by implementing various policy initiatives. This paper examines and evaluates the overall level of Chongqing's digital economy from 2014 to 2021 and analyses the development process through a mixed research method. The results show a growth trend of continuous improvement, with the speed of digital economy development in Chongqing significantly accelerating after 2017. However, there are still some challenges, such as weak innovation capacity, lagging digital service capability, imbalance in the internal structure of digital economy, and uneven development within the region. Therefore, Chongqing must make some efforts to support the advance of digital economy by developing infrastructure, cultivating market players, and enhancing innovation capabilities, thereby forming a solid foundation for growth. Most publications justify that digitalization is a source of economic growth, to a greater extent in the countries with higher levels of economic development. However, some papers fail to find empirical evidence supporting this claim, attributing it to digitalization being in its initial stages or to the presence of the digitalization paradox. Economic literature exhibits a degree of ambiguity in its conclusions regarding the role of the digital economy in growth. Researchers employ different measures of digitalization, country and year samples, control variables in regression equation, as well as different regression methods, which can provoke ambiguous effects on the parameters of digital variables. The purpose of the article is to identify the role of digitalization in economic growth by justifying an economic growth model with the digitalization index and providing detailed discussions on our sample of countries over recent years, along with options for regression estimators. The article utilizes statistical data from the World Bank, European Commission, and Heritage Foundation. Methods such as system analysis, statistical analysis, and the regression estimator of panel data with fixed effects are implemented to identify the role of digitalization in economic growth. We have designed an economic growth model incorporating the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) of EU member states for the years 2017-2022, utilizing available data. The results reveal a positive and significant causal effect of digitization on gross output growth. Specifically, a 1% increase in the digitalization index results in GDP growth of almost 0.2%. Moreover, we observe the important roles of capital, labor, trade, human capital, and intellectual property rights in driving growth, consistent with the theory of endogenous growth. Proving the importance of digitalization for economic growth can be an argument for policies aimed at promoting digitalization. We suggest further research on the role of digitalization at a more disaggregated level of industries. However, our study does not demonstrate a statistically significant effect of research activity and institutional quality on gross output. This paper discusses the dispute resolution procedure that innovative digital commerce has adopted for the future for sustainable business. As digital trade becomes increasingly important for economic growth, trade-related disputes must be settled in both business and consumer situations. This study examines the advantages of using digital technology to resolve disputes involving digital trade and discusses how digital technology is changing traditional dispute resolution procedures. Conventional trade disputes differ from their digital counterparts because the digital sphere gives rise to more complex trade conflicts that require stronger regulatory resources. The utilization of digital technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, innovation-based models, digital strategies, and others can enhance the efficacy of conflict resolution. Digital technology can assist in resolving disputes with digital trade, even though procedural fairness issues including prejudice and algorithmic opacity may also arise. The research highlights the importance of developing innovative techniques to set up trade dispute resolution procedures and building legal frameworks for jurisdiction, trial, and enforcement procedures in addition to stressing the usage of digital technology. As economic transformation and social change have taken place, digital media and Internet technology have developed rapidly, and the need for the development of digital research on nonheritage oriented to transmission and dissemination is becoming increasingly strong. On the basis of cultural identity and cultural sovereignty, intangible cultural heritages (ICHs) are disappearing at an alarming rate, ICHs are facing an existential crisis, and their development prospects are worrying. With the emergence of neural network models, the development of digital technology has revived many things that were on the verge of extinction. Traditional cultures and industries that originally seemed unrelated can take on new forms with the help of digital technology, thus enabling ICHs to find new ideas for development. This paper takes Huizhou ICH as an example and tries to design and construct a Huizhou ICH database and a digital map of Huizhou ICH, and it establishes a database for management and operation. The paper applies the information space theory to study the use of digital resources of ICH under the threshold of the neural network and employs digital information technology to recode, reconstruct, and interpret ICH. As a result, traditional ICH items are displayed in a digital way, which improves the public's recognition of digital ICH items, thereby promoting the inheritance and dissemination of ICH. In recent years, advanced equipment, technology and intelligent algorithms have developed rapidly. It is necessary to apply advanced equipment and algorithms to bridge operation and maintenance business to facilitate the digitalization and intelligence of bridge operation and maintenance. To grasp the research progress on the bridge intelligent operation and maintenance, this paper summarizes the research progress in recent years from the aspects of intelligent detection equipment and technology, intelligent monitoring equipment and technology, intelligent data analysis, intelligent evaluation and early warning, and intelligent repair and maintenance. According to the review, more and more smart devices have been used to replace human beings to detect dangerous and hidden bridge components. At the same time, image processing, radar and other technologies have been used to analyze component damage more objectively and quantitatively. To solve the shortcomings of traditional sensors such as short life and low robustness, more non-contact measurement methods have been proposed. Scholars have proposed various intelligent algorithms to process the massive amount of bridge health monitoring data to improve the quality of the data. To achieve the rapid perception of bridge status and timely early warning of structural abnormalities, different from traditional theoretical calculations, scholars have tried to use data-driven methods to intelligently evaluate and early warning of bridge structural status. In terms of intelligent repair and maintenance, more intelligent algorithms have been used to optimize structural maintenance strategies and determine the best maintenance time by integrating multisource heterogeneous data. The digital economy is an important driving force for China's economic transformation and upgrading, while "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" is the goal to be achieved in China. Based on the panel data of 30 Chinese provinces (cities and districts) from 2012 to 2019, the article empirically investigates the impact of the digital economy on regional carbon emissions and its mechanism of action by using a two-way fixed-effects model and mediated-effects model. The study shows that, firstly, the digital economy has a significant carbon emission reduction effect, and the conclusion still holds after robustness testing. Secondly, the emission reduction effect of industry digitization in the digital economy dimension is the most obvious. Again, the carbon emission reduction effect of digital economy development on different regions varies, with the strongest carbon emission reduction effect on western regions and regions with high carbon emission levels. Finally, the analysis of mediating effects shows that the energy structure is an important mechanism for the digital economy to suppress regional carbon emissions. The provision of public services, mostly by local governments, has been widely analyzed in the scientific literature. The relevance of these services has generated an incipient demand for information on the part of citizens, which makes it necessary for the bodies responsible for their provision to present adequate levels of transparency. In this context, digitalization is a crucial tool for providing information to citizens and, therefore, contributing to improving the levels of transparency of those organizations that provide public services. Among these, the drinking water supply service stands out, which is crucial for well-being and sustainable progress, and whose analysis is of vital importance, especially in countries such as Spain affected by factors such as climate change and urbanization. In this way, the aim of this paper is to analyze the degree of transparency of the companies providing water supply services in Spain, as well as their degree of digitalization. To this end, a relationship will be established between the Transparency Index of Public Enterprises (INDEP) and the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE), which measure the degree of transparency and digitalization, respectively. This relationship will be established for a sample of 59 companies responsible for water supply. The main results derived from this study show a wide margin for improvement on the part of the companies analyzed, both in terms of transparency and digitalization, as the vast majority of these companies show a medium–low degree of compliance in both aspects. Also, the paper considers the position of Serbia from the aspect of economic challenges brought by digitalization and digital transformation. Accelerated global change due to the development of technology requires that all economies, if they want to be successful, must adapt to "digital time". In this adjustment, it is especially important to avoid possible negative impacts of digitalization and application of digital technologies in all spheres of life and in the business environment. Entrepreneurial activity is considered the driving force for modern economies and societal development through economic growth, employment generation and the promotion of innovation. This paper seeks to study the growth of the available literature in the academic world and to highlight the trends regarded as 'key' in the realm of digital entrepreneurship by means of the conduct of bibliometric analysis concerning the conceptual background, the assumptions that lie under, the designs of the research along with an analysis of what was contributed to the field and the direction road map pointing out topic areas for further research. An in-depth bibliometric and systematic literature analysis is conducted in accordance with the objectives of the study. As we know the bibliometric analysis of literature can identify research clusters based on the quantity and the quality of the research conducted. Through the use of Vosviewer 1.6.10 software, the authors analyzed 122 articles from the Scopus database. The progress of research on digital entrepreneurship has been studied from 1970 to 2022. It is found that digital entrepreneurship research has gained encouragement after the year 2018. By means of cluster analysis, the authors identified three clusters which revealed a number of closely associated key words. The findings further revealed that the synthesis of topics of recent date which were of interest to scholars have led about the evolution of a large number of topical clusters along with the identification of a change in interest over the days gone past. From a study whose aim was the various economic issues, in the direction of an analysis that has deepened the factors which have led to a number of factors that have contributing for the development of digital entrepreneurial platforms. As we enter the digital era, the digital economy provides an opportunity for China's manufacturing industry to achieve 'smart manufacturing' and provides important support for China to move from a 'big manufacturing country' to a 'strong manufacturing country'. This paper constructs an indicator system for the level of digital economy development in Chinese cities by determining the connotation of China's digital economy based on the characteristics of its digital economy development. Based on the application of entropy value method to measure the level of digital economy development of cities, we empirically investigate the impact of the level of digital economy development of cities on the innovation efficiency of manufacturing industry using mixed panel data of listed Chinese A-share manufacturing companies and cities from 2011 to 2019. The empirical study finds that the level of urban digital economy development is conducive to improving the overall innovation efficiency, innovation quality efficiency and innovation quantity efficiency of enterprises, and overall, the digital economy has a significant contribution to the innovation efficiency of manufacturing industry. There is regional, firm size and industry heterogeneity in the impact of urban digital economy development level on manufacturing innovation efficiency, and this heterogeneity is further manifested in the types of manufacturing innovation efficiency. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the economy across the globe and generated uncertainties in the functioning of the industries, governments and the daily life of people. The impact that this crisis has on poverty alleviation, the global GDP and the rapid development of the digitalization process are some of the factors that have reshaped the world. Hence, the way in which the companies and different sectors have operated is now in the past. The new economic condition requires quick adaptability to the new trends and fast implementation of digital solutions. Therefore, new strategies and more advanced practices are a necessity not only for the proper functioning of the businesses, but for the governments and the countries as well. The rapid shift towards the digital channels caught many businesses off guard. All these fast changes and the late transformation slowed down the economic growth, mostly in the countries that did not reacted immediately. Considering that the Balkan region tried to provide digitally enhanced offerings and maintain the economic growth during the pandemic, many people were laid off, many business sectors were affected and many companies were closed. All these transformations affected the economic development and stagnated the growth. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to evaluate what are the main factors that have affected the economic growth in the Balkan region and the reason that contributed to digital transformation of these countries. The purpose of paper consists in developing the economic mechanism for increase in effective management of land resources in agriculture. Theoretical provisions of institutionalism, management, system approach, the general scientific and special methods were used in the course of the research. Considering influence of negative externalities on the market of the agricultural land and a deviation of the prices from equilibrium level, it is expedient to influence a market turnover of agricultural grounds by means of the priority directions of development: reductions of transactional costs for execution of transactions and registration of the property rights to the land plots, updating of cadastral cost of the land plots, accelerations of differentiation of the lands which are in federal, regional, regional property, etc. As a result of a research authors constructed the regional economic mechanism of management of land resources in agriculture on the basis of use of digital technologies. This paper explores future digital technology policy for education with reference to the Irish context. Framed within the global context of commercial influence on education and related discourses, it addresses the Irish context with particular reference to identifiable 'push' and 'pull' factors seen as influencing policy provision in any next phase. The paper then proceeds to outline a number of intersecting factors or issues that will likely influence digital technology policy and practice in Irish schools in the future, taking into consideration the political, corporate, social, economic and educational backdrop. Likely ethical, environmental and educational factors are proposed and discussed. Looking across these factors, the paper concludes that establishing a clear vision of the role and purpose of technology in education, coupled with a more complex understanding and appreciation of the interaction between technology and education (which is contextually bound and relational, and reflects greater teacher rather than corporate agency) are significant prerequisites to any consideration of the future of digital education in the Irish educational policy context. This paper aims to address the issue of executorial title in Indonesia regarding the latest regulations in fiduciary whether it is still relevant to the development of increasingly advanced information technology. The number of fiduciary disputes in the Supreme Court brings out the fact that fiduciary regulation still does not fulfill the needs of the parties involved. With regard to that matter with the issuance of the Constitutional Court’s Decision Number 18/PUU-XVII/2019, the executorial title of the fiduciary certificate seems to be dwarfed. It is important that we identify and address the issues of fiduciary guarantee which are related to the regulation of the governance system in utilizing technology to facilitate and provide protection for investors to make the atmosphere of investment in Indonesia more interesting. The methodology that will be adopted in conducting this study would be a normative legal analysis of all laws and regulations regarding fiduciary guarantees that will provide insight to society and the government, especially stakeholders who are involved in the fiduciary guarantee agreement. We hope to recommend through this paper that specific legislation be created to improve the social and legal protection of business people in order for them to be able to conduct safely and freely business activities in the investment climate of the financial industry which has the potential to boost the Indonesian economic growth. Current developments and trends that characterise the market economy system, in a context marked by many uncertainties and tensions of economic, social and political order, draw more and more attention to the need and importance that resilience has at organisational level. In a world subject to constant change, the need and ability to adapt to the new, imprints a new dynamic at the level of economic systems. If until recently, the economic strength of an organisation, the degree of technology and its ability to concentrate as large a share of the market as possible were considered elements of performance, the reality of recent years has highlighted the fact that they are no longer enough. Digital technology is developing intensively in the volatile and turbulent context of recent years, through the introduction of innovative technologies, the automation of economic processes, but also changes in the organisational culture of many companies. The challenge of today's digital economy is manifested by the need for continuous adaptation to the needs of markets. Starting from these aspects, the purpose of this paper is to verify the hypothesis that digitization is a key element in ensuring resilience at organisational level in the current economic context. Thus, this paper aims to carry out an analysis on the topic of "digitalization of organisations", through a bibliometric study, from a perspective involving resilience. Data was retrieved from the Web Of Science database and analysed using VOSviewer software. Introduction: Corporates need to break through the dilemma of system and efficiency with the help of digital transformation in the digital economy era. This paper aims to examine the influence of digital transformation on corporate total factor productivity by investigating whether and how corporate technical cooperation and ESG performance mediate and moderate the relationship between them. Methods: This study choose Chinese A-share listed manufacturing firms from 2016--2020 as the research sample and use the FGLS regression model to test the proposed hypotheses. Results: Results show that digital transformation has a positive effect on corporate total factor productivity, and this positive impact is more pronounced when corporates have higher ESG performance. Corporate technical cooperation plays a mediating role between digital transformation and total factor productivity. ESG performance also plays a positive moderating role in the relationship between digital transformation and corporate technical cooperation. Discussion: Our results contribute to the literature on digital transformation and corporate total factor productivity at the micro-corporate level. The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems and economic growth at the urban level from the knowledge-based view. This paper also scrutinizes the moderating roles of industrial diversities and digital technology service. Based on the data of 32 cities in China from 2008 to 2018, the findings show that entrepreneurial ecosystems' development promotes municipal economic growth significantly via knowledge creation and knowledge flow. Moreover, industrial diversity and digital technology service are found to positively moderate the relationship between entrepreneurial ecosystems' development and the urban economic growth. This study extends the literature on entrepreneurial ecosystems and regional economic development at the urban level from the perspective of knowledge-based view. The patent system is instrumental in contributing to firms' innovation and nations' economic growth. However, the system has been plagued by a series of persistent problems that prevent it from playing its full role. For example, the fundamental issue of who should be awarded the patent has not yet been resolved; the massive backlog of patent applications in patent offices worldwide has become a major headache for policymakers and innovating firms. In the paper, we propose and discuss a framework that digital technologies could offer promising solutions to these longstanding issues, thereby significantly improving the efficiency of the patent system. Meanwhile, we also present and discuss a few challenges faced by the patent system due to the cumulative nature and interconnectedness of digital technologies. Therefore, the digital era opens up new possibilities for the patent system but also brings about new challenges. This new engine has become a driving force for high-quality economic development. From the three aspects of development momentum, efficiency, and structure, this paper profoundly explores internal mechanisms to lead the high-quality growth of the regional economy. By constructing an econometric model, the influence effect and means of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the regional economy are empirically tested. The digital economy and its three sub-dimensions can significantly promote the high-quality development of the regional economy. However, industrial digitalization has the most vital role in promoting it. The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of digital platforms in the development of the Digital Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (DEE). In particular, it discusses the challenges of proposing specific policies to overcome imbalances in DEEs. Norway, and its two neighboring Nordic countries, Sweden and Finland, will be investigated. Using the Digital Platform Economy Index framework and empirical measurement, the study evaluates the state of DEEs in these countries, identifies key weaknesses that act as barriers and recommends policy recommendations to promote the growth of DEEs. Based on the study's findings, the study shows that similar constraints may disrupt the balance in Digital Technology Entrepreneurship (DTE) in each country. To address these constraints and promote overall DEE growth, the study recommends tailored policies with a holistic approach. This paper examines the broad impact of digitalization on economic development. More specifically, it addresses the computer science-derived notion of "social machines", along with the invention of distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) (or blockchain), as potential signposts on the pathway to "smart(er) digital economies". The paper investigates blockchain-based ecosystems as examples of social machines that assist in economic "smartification" and development. It looks at distributed ledger-based communities (DLCs) that provide examples of functioning social machines for a variety of business and personal network communications purposes. It then analyses the scaleup of DLT-based social machines by comparison with "extension services", largely in education and agriculture, which are currently undergoing processes of digitalization. Overall, this conceptual study examines the general horizons and potential impact of blockchain and social machines on the provision of online products and services, across a range of sectors and industries. The entertainment industry in its present state, as occasioned by the new wave of technology, is a ‘cash cow’. However, most African countries, Nigeria inclusive, are not fully tapping into its great potential to generate the required revenue for their economic growth and development. Anchored on the premise of cultural history, the paper adopts the historical research method to interrogate the concept of entertainment from the pre-colonial era to its current state and find the nexus between entertainment and the economic growth of nations. It finds that the entertainment industry is a gold mine that is not fully explored and concludes that Nigeria needs to capitalise on the new forms of technological advancement that could enhance and boost her economy. It recommends that young people need to be trained and repositioned in the process of driving modern entertainment and creative industries. Future researches need to explore ways Nigerians and Africans will learn to harness and absorb the positive changes in technological advancement and the digital revolution that is fast changing the face and pace of entertainment and the creative industries. The forces of digital technologies are cohesive, penetrative and ubiquitous with the propensity to transform every human activity. Thus, the tempo of religious practices within the influence of this digital pull cannot remain unaffected. This study examines the influence of digital technologies on religious endeavours in the era of Global Information Culture (GIC), particularly on global missions and how humans cannot escape the glue. Descriptive and phenomenological techniques were adopted to x-ray the concepts. The study also identifies the roles of GIC in supporting socioeconomic development, influencing cultural and cross-cultural practices, and affecting religious and inter-religious relationships. The study submits that innovations in the GIC have influenced spirituality and Christian witnessing in the 21st century and concludes that in the current webbed dispensation, humanity becomes techno-sapiens and remains so even in their religious practices. The paper, therefore, recommends that stakeholders in the religious sector and practitioners of mission need to embrace and imbibe GIC for their maximum output in their respective endeavours. The paper aims to improve the methodology of the Digital Economic and Society Index (DESI), the European Commission's newest index to assess the development of the digital economy. In particular, we investigate whether methodological changes to the structure of DESI improve its ability to capture the digital transformation of EU economies. Using the sensitivity-based analysis, we check whether the selection of weights of individual elements included in the DESI is optimal or should be improved. We also verify the importance of DESI in explaining changes in GDP per capita in EU economies. In the literature, we find that digital transformation has enabled the creation of new business models and maximized efficiency in traditional firms. Using DESI, we empirically test whether the gap between rich and poor countries in European Union can be closed or eliminated through rapid and intensive digital transformation. Our results show that the DESI -- when modified by eliminating the pillars on internet services and digital public services -- has the same explanatory power. Connectivity is the dimension with the largest impact on digital transformation in EU countries. Consensus exists on the importance of heritage for ensuring sustainable futures, due to its impact on political aspects, ethical reflection and local economic development. Nowadays, using technology has become crucial in the construction industry, including heritage conservation. This paper aims to compare a selected sample of digital platforms, gathering data in support of heritage documentation, both for heritage and archeological sites. Despite the huge potential of digital technologies for contributing to heritage conservation, still there is a need for more clarity on what should be used to achieve different goals and what is the best approach under various circumstances. A team of five experts on digital technologies applied to different types of heritage worked collaboratively to gather the case studies in this paper and to analyse them comparatively. Jordan is a Middle East and North Africa country chosen as unit of analysis, because of the huge potential of digital technologies for heritage documentation. The findings from the comparative case review offers a reflection on what should best adopted for achieving different goals. Differences of approaches were revealed between the characteristics of heritage site and those of archaeological sites in Jordan's conservation history. The findings called for a prioritization of using digital technology in both heritage and archeological sites. The discussion on digital platforms currently available in Jordan allows for highlighting strengths and limitations of different approaches and methodologies, thus drawing lessons for addressing the strategic choice of the most appropriate digital solution under different circumstances and in different contexts. With the continuous promotion of digitalization and the global trend toward a low-carbon economy, the issue of whether enterprises can enhance their carbon performance with the assistance of digital technology has aroused widespread attention from both academia and industry. In order to explore whether digital technology can improve the carbon performance of manufacturing enterprises, this study, based on resource orchestration theory and signaling theory, utilizes data from China's A-share manufacturing enterprises from 2012 to 2021 to empirically investigate the relationship between digital technology and the carbon performance of manufacturing firms. It also explores the mediating conduction path and boundary influencing factors between them. Its findings demonstrate that: digital technology is capable of improving carbon performance; green innovation (including green technology and green collaboration) has partially mediating effects; there is a catalytic role for environmental information disclosure in utilizing digital technology to enhance carbon performance. Building on this, we find that the impacts of digital technology, green innovation, and environmental information disclosure on carbon performance vary due to differences in the nature of industries and the strategic aggressiveness of enterprises. Specifically, the role of digital technology on carbon performance seems somewhat more pronounced among firms in the high-tech industry and those employing defensive and analytical strategies. Additionally, the effects generated by green innovation and environmental information are more pronounced in the hightech industry and among enterprises that adopt analytical strategies. This study reveals the inherent mechanism of digital technology in enhancing the carbon performance of manufacturing enterprises, which provides empirical evidence for the development of digital technology and the improvement of carbon performance in manufacturing enterprises, thus helping promote low-carbon economic transformation. The relevance of the study is determined by the problem of preserving the mental health of society during crisis events that can influence the development of various forms of destructive mental disorders in the population. In this regard, the purpose of the research work was to determine the characteristics of a person’s personal characteristics in the context of preserving his mental resources to fight uncertainty, as well as finding effective ways to restore the psychological well-being of the population in war conditions. The theoretical and methodological basis of the scientific research was a combination of qualitative methods of structural and functional analysis of providing psychological support to society during the period of martial law, as well as a systematic approach to the study of the social conditioning of the formation of tolerance to uncertainty in a person. In particular, several surveys were conducted on the problems of intolerance to uncertainty and psychological well-being of the individual. The scientific work presents the results that reflect the problem of the personal qualities of a person to withstand the burden of crisis events that are associated with situations of uncertainty, in particular, psychological self-regulation, which allows to adequately perceive problems and find productive solutions to solve them. The article also highlights the issues of intolerance, self-identity and personal maturity of a person, which reveal the content of his individual perception and interpretation of situations of uncertainty. The obtained data also reflect the problem of the impact of crisis circumstances on the formation of a person’s predisposition to mental disorders. At the same time, the research paper highlights issues of personal anxiety and worries about the future, as well as reveals the specifics of public health care in different countries. The presented paper is dedicated to the taxation of digital services in the light of one of the basic freedoms of the European internal market, namely the freedom to provide services according to Art. 56 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. The taxation of digital services is currently characterized by the application of uncoordinated unilateral mechanisms by individual States, most often in the form of a digital services tax (DST). The author first provides a categorization of these unilateral mechanisms, especially in the field of direct and indirect taxes, and then considers the socalled "other unilateral mechanisms" consisting of inter alia special procedural legal institutes (e.g. the obligation of the digital platform as an intermediary to withhold tax). Subsequently, the author provides an overview of the interpretation of the provisions of Art. 56 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union in three cases discussed by the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning unilateral mechanisms of taxation of digital services. Foreign direct investment (FDI) is an economic phenomenon that has been widely examined by numerous authors in a variety of different aspects. They are considered to be a key factor for generating economic growth in different countries or in specific regions. They could also be of significant importance to the processes of convergence between different countries, or regions within a country. At the same time there are cases where studies show they have negative influence on the processes of generating growth or convergence. One of the core ideas of the European Union (EU) is to correct imbalances between its regions. The concept of convergence is related to the regional development, assisted by purposeful steering of capitals in different countries and regions in order to generate growth there. The following paper aims to examine the role of FDI in the regional development within the EU. The methodology included consists of conceptual analysis of the FDI potential to influence the regional development processes within the EU, backed up by empirical data for the inward FDI flows and the funds provided by the European structural investment funds, focusing on the European regional development fund. The methods used for the purposes of the analysis are correlation analysis, historical and comparative analysis, inductive and deductive approach. Result of the conducted analysis show that despite the proven potential of FDI to have positive influence on the regional development (and respectively convergence) processes, within the EU, there is evidence that they don’t work as effective. Correlation analysis finds that there is even inverse correlation between the inward FDI flows and the distributed capitals via the fund for regional development. We can conclude that despite the fact FDI does bring positive influence regarding regional development, convergence and growth in general, it could actually have minor, or even negative effect on these processes for some of the participants in them. The logical explanation for it is the lag in time, on the one hand, due to the long-term character of the FDI and related to them effects on the economies in the recipient countries, but also the level of development and specific characteristics of the economies of these countries, on the other. All this comes to show the fact that EU institutions and policy makers have future work and efforts to put in this direction, in order to accomplish the goals, set in the future time frames for regional development and convergence within the community. All of the above presented matter, shapes guidelines for future work of scientific character as well as the one on institutional level, underlining the importance and necessity of such studies at a national and supranational level among the member-states of the Union. Globally, over 1.4 billion adult people remain unbanked. This worrisome phenomenon was exacerbated by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which further created a new dimension of inequality in accessing financial services. Digital financial inclusion promises to be an effective tool for addressing this socioeconomic ill and propelling economic development. Given the limited studies on the subject in the context of developing economies, it is imperative to understand the existing policies, practices, and barriers to digital financial inclusion in developing economies so as to provide cutting-edge interventions for redress. It is against this background that this study seeks to address the following research questions: (1) What is the state of digital financial inclusion in the developing economy? (2) What are the policies and practices regarding digital financial inclusion in the developing economy? (3) What are the barriers to digital financial inclusion and innovative interventions for redress? Findings reveal that about 44% of the adult population in developing countries does not have access to financial services, with only a few countries that have made significant progress and gains through policy and practice, such as mobile financial services, mobile money interoperability, native connectivity, human capital development, and the digitalization of public services for digital financial inclusion. The objective of this study was to assess the exploitation of small economies by global digital firms through tax evasion. It explored the obstacles and suggests how small economies can address these challenges posed by global digital firms that leverage the nature of their service and technology to evade tax. Qualitative research methods were applied with the use of key informant interviews and secondary data collection from relevant literature and reports. Five key informants purposefully selected from Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) were interviewed. The paper also classifies the nature of services provided by different digital economies. It highlights the challenges being faced by small economies such as the shift in the global business models, tax concept and evasion, international tax regulations, and lack of capacities thereof. The findings indicate how small economies are being taken advantage of by digital giant firms through operating in their jurisdictions, capitalizing on profits, and circumventing tax payments due to non legally binding instruments that compel global firms to comply. Tax evasion by these firms leads to the shrinking of the small economies' tax base. A possible solution to this tax deceitfulness is the adoption of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Pillar One proposal to address and overhaul the current international tax regulations. In this paper, we attempt to provide starting points for a discussion on immediate and longer term consequences of COVID-19-induced uses of digital technologies for the distinction of the public and the private spheres. We start with clarifying definitions of the public and the private spheres in relation to the concept of privacy. What is considered private is at least in part contextually determined by conventions and social, political, economic and technological developments. From this perspective, we set out to critically evaluate the COVID-19-induced large-scale introduction of new digital tools in two essential areas of life: the workplace and education. We discuss the role of technology and its immediate concomitant legal or ethical challenges. The paper concludes with reflections on the possible longer-term normative effects of the use of digital tools in the context of the COVID-19 containment on the demarcation of the public and private spheres. This paper seeks to provide new empirical evidence that demonstrates the importance of digital technologies in promoting economic growth, drawing on the literature on advances in growth and leveraging a broader and more robust country-level panel dataset. In particular, this paper estimates the long-run economic impact of digital technologies using mobile phone penetration and internet usage as broad indicators. The empirical results suggest that, between 2004 and 2014, the diffusion of digital technologies significantly improved economic output in Australia and abroad, contributing to steady-state gross domestic product per capita growth of approximately 5.8 per cent on average. These findings could serve as the starting-point for predictions about the likely impact of future technologies, providing a better understanding for policy-makers in prioritising initiatives that will continue to lift living standards in the coming years. Digital environments have expanded the forms of cultural participation. This paper has two aims: first, to elucidate the changing definitions of cultural participation in relation to digital environments; second, to examine the ways in which cultural policies respond to the new digital conditions of cultural participation. Focusing on Quebec (Canada), this paper is based on a critical review of grey literature in the public policy. We identified three main goals pursued by Quebec cultural policies regarding digital participation: 1) to produce and disseminate national cultural content; 2) to encourage cultural equity and diversity; 3) to encourage digital equity. The analysis shows that these goals partially exceed the scope of cultural policies to intersect with economic, educational, and youth policies. We also argue that policy frameworks and funding programs in support of cultural policies tend to legitimize an overlap of civic, commercial, and industrial logics of cultural participation. The current perspective of understanding development focuses on including all members of society participating in the growth process, primarily through digital technology. This paper examines social media for promoting inclusive growth in Tanzania. More specifically, the study aims to investigate the social media site that youth citizens widely use to discuss government economic issues for fostering inclusive growth, how youth citizens use the perceived widely used social media to participate in discussing government issues for inclusive growth, and how does the government encourage citizens' use of social media to discuss government issues for inclusive growth. The study was conducted in Dodoma City and employed mixed research methods using survey and interview data collection methods. Findings show that youth citizens mainly prefer using WhatsApp social media to discuss economic issues to promote inclusive economic growth in the study area. The study also found that youth citizens in the study area use WhatsApp social media to spot government actions and voice their opinions for inclusive growth. The study concludes that WhatsApp social media is a gateway to accelerate inclusive growth in the study area. It suggests a networked digital policymaking framework to encourage citizens to openly discuss and publish government issues on social media without fear to accelerate inclusive growth in the country. Also, it suggests an established framework for collecting citizens' opinions on social media for government decision-making practices to imply that citizens' views are considered for inclusive growth in Tanzania.. Education is an important prerequisite for development of human capital in any economy. However, if the education ecosystem is ineicient in terms of the quality of education provided, it would fail to inculcate required competencies and skills in the youth, thus, inhibiting the potential of economic growth. The objective of this paper is to propose a new framework of learning, called Phygital (blend of physical as well as digital components) learning which attempts to explore the convergence of personalised education content delivery, development of competency and talent aligned career discovery through extensive use of advanced digital technologies like Artiicial Intelligence. We have developed a conceptual framework for the proposed model in this paper, which has the scope of being developed into a model for higher secondary and higher education.
