- Abstract
The article focuses on the vision of Constantine in relation to his religious convictions. This vision was supported by the Christian vision and was seen in Lactantius's De mortibus persecutorum and in Eusebius's panegyrical Vita Constantini. It notes that Constantine saw the appearance of a Christogram, a cross of light, solar halo and a crown in the heaven formed by light. It says that he has a personal relationship with the Highest Divinity and had the divine support which granted him the victory over Maxentius at the Milvian Bridge in Rome, Italy. A discussion of the halo theory, as well as the central interpretation of the pagan and Christian vision with regards to these vision-accounts, is also presented.
