The article presents information on the journal "Social Science Quarterly." The journal is receiving more new subscriptions and more manuscripts from outside of their region. But, more important, the manuscripts received from scholars within their region are noticeably better. In fact, 30 of the 72 manuscripts published in Volume 49 were from southwestern colleges and universities, in spite of increasing competition from outside of the region orientation. The journal will continue to welcome good political science, sociology, economics, history and business manuscripts but preference will be clearly for the manuscript which transcends a disciplinary label. The increase in the number of manuscripts submitted, coupled with a policy of having manuscripts in more than one discipline, has meant a corresponding increase in the time and effort volunteered by associate and advisory editors as well as by occasional readers. In addition to the 42-member editorial boards in 1968 the journal had assistance in evaluating manuscripts from an additional 164 social scientists.

The article features an international scholarly journal named "Co-existence," which is to be published in Canada and mainly in English context. It is mainly about the comparative study of economics, sociology, and politics that happen around the world. It will provide and print articles dealing with philosophical clarification, cultural co-operation and literary criticism, either in the forms of survey, correspondence, or documentation. Its editorial boards, which include scholars like Ragnar Frisch, P. C. Mahalanobis, Gunnar Myrdal and Joan Robinson, are tasked to ensure a forum of thoughtful discussion.
