The existence of the effects of magic is proved by the Holy Qur'an, it can not be denied, but the question arises whether the effects of magic also affect the Prophets? It is narrated in many Ahadith the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was effected by evil magic while magic was done. Now the basic question is that how did the magic happen and the existence of magic is against the glory of the Prophet, isn't it? There is a difference of opinion among the Islamic Scholars on the subject. In the lying article,after researching the correct sequence of sorcery in the context of ahadiths, it has been clarified that the effect of sorcery on the Prophets is a human requirement because sorcery is a disease like other diseases and it is not against the infallibility of the Prophets (Asmat-e-Anbya).

Archeology deals with the common inheritance of human beings. Among those historical antiques, these are such records which remind us of those nations who were condemned due to their disobedience to Divine instructions. The purpose of preserving such sites as per Divine Scheme, was to make them lessons for the upcoming generations. More recently such trends have emerged where these sites have been made places of recreation. As a reaction to this trend, another approach within religious thought has emerged that instructs for complete elimination of such sites in order to discourage tourist activities at such places. This article takes a moderate path and tries to highlight the real teachings of Islam about such sites.

The Shari’ah classifies punishments into Ḥudūd, Qiṣāṣ, and Ta’zīr which aim to protect life, lineage, reason, property, and intellect in order to provide welfare and protection to the society. The Islamic system of punishments described different punishments on committing different crimes, i.e; murder, theft, adultery, intoxicant, blasphemy, and robbery, etc. The study concludes that in respect of Ḥudūd and Qiṣāṣ the power of the court is limited but in Ta’zīr punishments the court has wider power. The punishments that are described in PPC are not similar to punishments mentioned in Qur’ān. The Federal Shari’ah Court has supported the punishment of amputation of the hand against the crime of theft which is similar to the punishment of Qur’ān. Ḥadd punishment of theft in Pakistan is not implemented because the conditions i.e. at least two Muslim adult males eye-witnesses and Tazkiyah al-Shuhood (truthful person and abstain from major sins) are very difficult to fulfill to the extent that Shariah demands. Therefore theft in Pakistan is punishable with Ta’zīr punishment.

Leitner was Hungarian by birth and “an Austrian Subject”. As an intelligent young student he learnt the major languages of the Islamic countries (e.g. Arabic, Turkish, Persian and later on Urdu) and completed the Islamic studies from the well-known madrassahs of Istanbul. After migration to England (September 1858), he first got admitted in King’s College, London, where, later on, he became the Professor of Arabic studies. In 1862, he decided to surrender his Austro-Hungarian citizenship and tried to get the naturalization of England. For this purpose, he completed all the relevant procedural formalities and finally succeeded in becoming citizen of Great Britain afterwards. Luckily, all the hand-written documents relating to his case of naturalization are safely preserved in the library of the Public Record Office, London.1 Still unpublished, all the material, contained in this file is being revealed in this article.

"Māh-e-Nau" is a National Magazine and is the voice of entire Pakistan. Relating to every aspect, the national head is a mirror of summer and represents the national life. "Māh-e-Nau" continued to publish articles on Islamic and local saints of religion, literature and poets and it was recognized in literary circles that the best translations of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai were presented in Mah-e- Nau. "Māh-e-Nau" has an important role in introducing this aristocracy poet. In the same way, Māh-e-Nau has the honor of presenting the translation of Waris Shah’s Marakat-ul-Arat work Heer Ranjha in same genre and in the same sea. "Māh-e-Nau" took the lead in getting it done. Apart from this, the best translations of regional songs were presented. He is also credited with introducing folk stories and song. Māh-e-Nau has always gone hand in hand with the national life. It reflects all these situations, events, and actions. In the regard, the special number of "Māh-e-Nau" were published on different topics including "Seerat Number". Mawlānā Sami’-ul-Ḥaq (Shahīd) was a renowned Islamic Scholar, journalist, writer, politician, mujahid, and at the same time he was a wonderful leader and thinker on world affairs. In addition to teaching at the Dārul ‘Ulūm Ḥaqqāniyah Akora Khattak for almost sixty (60) years, he remained in active politics for forty-eight (48) years. He remained so close to the Afghans Jihād that in the Western world he was known as the "Father of the Taliban" and his madrassa as the "University of Jihad." Because of this fame, his academic, social, political, and community services were hidden from view. Due to his commitment to Afghan jihad and being the head of various religious and political movements, he has been the subject of debate in many circles. Questions have been raised about his academic credentials, commitment to the Afghan jihad, success rate in various religious and political movements, and the actual narrative of those movements. In addition to interviewing teachers at Dārul ‘Ulūm Ḥaqqāniyah and the people close to him, his personal writings, books, and articles about him have been used to find answers to all these questions. The study concludes that he was a reformer who played his role very well in different aspects of life.

Muḥadithīn have played a dynamic role in the preservation and compilation of Ḥadīth of the Prophet (SAW). Among them the contribution of Imam Bukhārī is unavoidable and remarkable in the field of Ḥadīth and its sciences. Since, he is known “Hafiz and Compiler” and considered as “Imam” and “authority” in the field of both higher and lower criticism. His book "Al-Tārīkh al Kabīr" (08 volumes) is considered as one of the ancient books in field of Ḥadīth and its sciences. This paper aims to describe the methodology of Imam Bukhārī in Al-Tārīkh al Kabīr. He described the biography of thirteen thousand seven hundred and seventy nine only (13779) in alphabetic order. Although his methodology was to mention names of the narrators alphabetically, but in respect with the Prophet (SAW), he gave place to eleven narrators among the companion whom names were started with the names of “Muhammad”. In the Methodology of Imam Bukhārī (RA), it is found that either the narrators are rejected or given authenticity, on the basis of not only his own examinations but he relied on the sayings of other Muḥadithīn as well. It is also pertinent to mention that he awarded degree to a little number of the narrators while left over most of the narrators undecided, because the main objective of the book was to portray the biographies of the narrators rather to make analysis of all the narrators.

In any society, the administration has the status of a pillar, and its good or bad move directly impacts society. There are institutions to compensate public complaints on government initiatives in many countries of the world that keep check on government administrations. For this purpose "Federal Ombudsman" was established in Pakistan. The main responsibilities of this institution include the execution to enjoin the right and forbid the wrong (Amr bil Ma’rūf wal Nahi ‘An al Munkar), monitoring government employees in administrative matters, hearing the complaints of the public against organizations and preventing them from violating individual rights. In this article, it has been reviewed that how we can seek guidance from the Sīrah of the Prophet (P.B.U.H) is in this matter, to evaluate the present system of "Federal Ombudsman". In addition, the main responsibilities of the "Federal Ombudsman" were discussed in the article. In conclusion recommendations have been made for further improvement.

In this article, twelve scholars of District Haripur have been discussed for their significant contribution in Islamic sciences and various religious issues. The fact remains that District Haripur has remained the center for Islamic education wherein almost every school of thought has existed. In this article, those scholars are provided expression who despite been a part of some particular school of thought, have always encouraged intra-faith harmony. For example, "Al Ribat li Rad Hiyla al Isqat" by Maulana Mohammad Azam contains plenty of updated information on this issue. Similarly, another book called as "Mu'in-ul-'Aqaid” by Maulana Mohammad Hassan, provides grounds for rejecting the hypocrisy of society in a befitting manner. Before writing this article, a session was held with those scholars who are still alive whereas details of those dead were collected from their family members.

If you have a relationship with the past, a sustainable plan can be done for future. Islamic personalities, especially the introduction of the scholars, intensify the path of progress in the field of scientific and research as well as the continuous hard work in the practical world. Similarly, when introduction of the people with historical roles have reached to the next generation, it is easy to define pathways and take lessons from the opponents to work hard for them. Introducing individuals with a specific region is worth a king's ransom investment for all its geographically entrusted and external roles and a leading rule for a new generation of races. In the underlying article, efforts are being made to present brief introduction of the scholars of the District Haripur who have written in various sciences and fictions, so that people of this region can know that this area also remained the base of Islamic scholars. Due to this article, depicting the introduction of the scholars of different school of thoughts will undermine an enormous and sectarian ideology, and the strength of tolerance and brotherhood will be strengthened.

Many theological based concepts of I‘jaz had come out in third century of Ḥijrah. One of the most popular and dynamic theories that got all scholars flabbergasted for long time was ‘ṣarfa’, which has been introduced by a well-known theologian leader of Al-Mu‘tazila; An-Naẓẓam for the first time. For him, i‘jaz of Qur’ān does not mean to be qualified with the quality of matchlessness and inimitability or having worth of being unique and exclusive in its textual phenomenon as incomparable with any other text. So from this point of view Qur’ān for him, becomes like all other holy texts and Qur’ānic text no longer remains superior to any of its sister texts. As the text of the According to him Qur’ān is no more matchless and unique to other texts so, he called it ‘ṣarfa’. People are not perfect, they make mistakes and do things against religion so, Allah Almighty dissuaded and distracted human being from bringing down any equal text, otherwise anyone could do this. The following study intends to figure out genetically all applicable and inapplicable aspects of ‘ṣarfa’ of Al-Mu‘tazila. How they have dealt and applied it? Do they agree with singular definition of ‘ṣarfa’ or do they have a mutable concept

Whenever any issue regarding the religious matters was put up in the presence of the Holy Prophet (SAW), he himself explained that logically. The companions of the Holy Prophet (SAW) also sought his consent in such matters. However, there were some differences among the Companions (Saḥabas) regarding some of diligently-conceived views. Later on, such differences were multiplied and caused sectarian issues. In consequence of diligently-conceived opinions and efforts to address the issues of the Holy Qu’rān and Sunnah, four distinct sects emerged. Moreover, such differences took a different form in the later years which further led to the heinous act of “Takfeer”. Currently, the mutual enmity is at a great premium especially in Pakistan. This article will introduce and analyze the selected books, trying to indicate strengths and weakness of the subject matter discussed in books, in addition to examine the methodologies used in.

The world Semitic religions like Judaism, Christianity and Islam have given comprehensive regulations and code of life. Therefore; there has been a complete system and directions about “ḥalal” and “ḥaram” (kosher non-kosher) means legal and illegal (treif’ in Jewish law). As Islam gives clear cut directives in beliefs, worships, ethics, economy and ways of life to guide the men in life; similarly the Judaism has also given clear regulations in these fields to guide its followers. Islam has taught its followers to eat and drink ‘ḥalal’ (Tayyib), so Judaism has also stressed on eating only ‘kosher’ (food that can be consumed according to Jewish law). For example in animals; meat of cow, bull, sheep and goat etc are legitimizing for eating in both the religions. Similarly the meat of pig is not allowed for men. Many things are similar in both these religions regarding dietary law.This article describes about ‘ḥalal’ and ‘kosher’ things in detail and tells what the similarities and dissimilarities regarding dietary laws are found in their religious literatures.

Christianity is the religion from the Hazrat Essa (A.S) the Holy Prophet of Allah. Christians believe that Christianity is a perfect religion and this religion save them from hell, and this religion is revealed from Allah. Christian knows that their ideology based upon Hazrat Essa (A.S) and they relate themselves towards Hazrat Essa (A.S). Different books in different languages have written on the Christianity like English, Arabic, Persian and other languages there are many books written on Christianity in Pakistani national language Urdu and the books written in many languages have translated in Urdu. The analysis put forward on Christianity in Urdu written books, one thing is clear that which author writes a good, topic on Christianity and on the other hand by studying Christianity students and readers feel easy and will understand about these books easily and search the relevant material easily. This article shows the analytical study of books written on Christianity in Urdu and translation from other languages nominated Urdu books.

Judaism is a Semitic religion the followers of which claim that its teachings are in line to the nature. Islam also is a Semitic religion the followers of which proclaim the same . In both these religions, injunctions regarding the transfer of the estate of deceased can be found which are referred to as “LAWS OF INHERITANCE”. This article attempts to analyses the teachings regarding inheritance in both religions. It was also tried to explore the injunctions about transfer of deceased’s estate, who among the kindred of deceased are rightful to his estate and who are not. Besides, it was also tried to prove that Islamic teachings about inheritance are distinctly superior to teachings found in Judaism and accordingly these teachings are accordance with the nature.
