Die Innerstädtische Raumbeobachtung (IRB) ist ein Kooperationsprojekt zwischen mehr als 50 Städten und dem BBSR. Die in dieser Kooperation erstellte Datensammlung ermöglicht überlokale innerstädtische Vergleiche. Das Projekt steht in der Tradition der Sozialindikatorenbewegung und will eine empirische Grundlage für die Beschreibung von gesellschaftlichen Strukturen und deren Veränderung in den beteiligten Städten schaffen. Die ursprünglichen Motive für die Entwicklung der IRB sind heute noch aktuell. Als Dauerbeobachtungssystem erfüllt sie verschiedene Funktionen für die Ressortforschung des Bundes wie für die vielseitig geforderte Kommunalstatistik.

This paper aims to present empirical analysis of Iranian economic growth from 1950 to 2018 using data from the World Bank, Madison Data Bank, Statistical Center of Iran, and Central Bank of Iran. The results show that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capital increased by 2 percent annually during this time, however this indicator has had a huge fluctuation over time. In addition, the economic growth of Iran and oil revenue have close relationship with each other. In fact, whenever oil crises happen, great fluctuation in growth rate and other indicators happened subsequently. Even though the shares of other sectors like industry and services in GDP have increased over time, the oil sector still plays a key role in the economic growth of Iran. Moreover, growth accounting analysis shows contribution of capital plays a significant role in economic growth of Iran. Furthermore, based on growth accounting framework the steady state of effective capital is 4.27 for Iran’s economy.

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) provides site specific information on local environments through chemical shifts. NMR is widely used in the study of proteins, ranging from determination of three-dimensional (3D) structures to characterizing dynamics and binding of small molecules and other proteins or ligands. Assigned chemical shift data for the atoms within proteins is a treasure trove of information that can facilitate a broad range of biochemical and biophysical studies. The Biological Magnetic Resonance Data Bank (BMRB) is a publicly accessible database that contains a large number of assigned chemical shifts; however, translating this wealth of knowledge into a practical application is not straightforward. Herein we present nightshift: a Python command line utility and library for plotting simulated two-dimensional (2D) and 3D NMR spectra from assigned chemical shifts in the BMRB. This tool allows users to simulate routinely collected amide and methyl fingerprint spectra, backbone triple-resonance assignment spectra, and user-defined custom correlations, including ones that do not necessarily correspond to published experiments. This tool enables experienced NMR spectroscopists, those learning the craft, and interested scientists seeking to utilize NMR the ability to preview or examine a wide range of spectra for proteins whose assignments are deposited in the BMRB, irrespective of whether those experiments have been executed or reported. The tool applies equally to folded and intrinsically disordered proteins, limited only by the existence of a BMRB deposition. The features of nightshift are described along with applications that illustrate the ease with which complicated correlation spectra and binding events can be simulated.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study is to assess and discuss the relationship between the financial situation and the level of socio-economic development of coastal rural and urban-rural municipalities in Poland., APPROACH/METHODOLOGY/DESIGN: The diversity of coastal municipalities in Poland due to the level of socio-economic development and financial situation was examined using a synthetic indicator. The analysis was carried out on the basis of data from the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office and from the Ministry of Finance and Regional Accounting Chambers. The time range covers 2004-2017., FINDINGS: The analysis shows that there was a statistically significant and bilateral relationship between the financial situation and the socio-economic development in Polish coastal municipalities in the years 2004-2017. Moreover, the results of an extensive analysis of this relationship showed that despite the fact that a statistical relationship was found in the analyzed period, such a relationship was not proven for each class and each municipality. In the case of the study taking into account classes of different levels, a significant relationship did not occur in the extreme classes, but only in the average., PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The conclusions refer to the assumptions of the regional and local policy., ORIGINALITY/VALUE: The study concerns current issues of regional and local policy. The manufacturers of NC machine-tools pay little attention to the analysis of consumer requests that is to production and technological conditions typical to the majority of equipment customers. The work purpose consists in the optimization of NC lathe (NCL) technological potentialities based on the analysis of machinery and device characteristics. The scientific novelty of the work consists in a new approach to the substantiation of NC lathes parameters based on their interconnection with machinery characteristics, formation of original data bank on parts of the Uliyanovsk region companies (200,000 of items) presenting different branches of industry: aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, machine tool construction, automotive industry, instrument making et al. stage-by-stage parts grouping on the basis of ESKD classifier and the application of a cluster analysis. As a result of investigations there are revealed eight parts groups of revolution solids, design-technological characteristics which should be used as a technological basis for designing and choice of NC lathes (NCL). For all groups of parts there are developed complex parts (CP) generalizing all design-technological characteristics of group parts and group technological operations (GTO) for their production. The substantiation of GTO formation scheme was carried out according to shown costs Cmanuf. for machining a complex part. The design-technological characteristics and schemes of GTO formation are initial data for the definition of basic technological parameters of a new range of NCLs or the choice of the most suitable existing NCL. As a result there are substantiated NCL basic parameters for machining eight groups of parts. The design and production of all eight NCLs should be organized according to block-modular principle that is on a single common element base. To realize this principle there is substantiated a unified structure of functional units of the machine for the creation of all NCLs with different technological potentialities.

The research considers the methodology for construction a system for collecting and processing information about the technical and operating condition of linear-length construction objects using the example of the highways of republic (highway databank). The republican elaborated databank consists of various systems of ordered information (databases) which are united by common principles and rules for their automated processing. Creating a system enables to develop economically feasible current and annual programs for new construction, reconstruction, reconditioning and operation of highways in the republic, harmonized with material, technical, labor, and financial resources, obtaining current information for effective controlling actions at various levels of management.

Objective We retrospectively investigated the actual conditions of burn patients evacuated by helicopter in comparison to those evacuated by ground ambulance using the Japan Trauma Data Bank. Methods This study was a retrospective analysis of the data recorded in the Japan Trauma Data Bank between January 2004 and May 2019. After propensity score matching for the method of transportation, the survival rate was compared between the 2 groups. Results During the investigation period, there were 4,627 burn patients (helicopter group, n = 276; ambulance group, n = 4,351). After propensity score matching, there were no significant differences between the 2 groups in any of the assessed variables, and the survival rate did not differ to a statistically significant extent. Conclusion After propensity score matching, the survival rate of the helicopter group did not appear to be superior to the ambulance group. Further prospective studies are needed to explore the proper indications for air transportation of burn patients, which could potentially improve outcomes.

The NDB enables physics-based simulation of chromosomal structural dynamics through the MEGABASE + MiChroM computational pipeline. The input of the pipeline consists of epigenetic information sourced from the Encode database; the output consists of the trajectories of chromosomal motions that accurately predict Hi-C and fluorescence insitu hybridization data, as well as multiple observations of chromosomal dynamics in vivo. As an intermediate step, users can also generate chromosomal sub-compartment annotations directly from the same epigenetic input, without the use of any DNA-DNA proximity ligation data. Additionally, the NDB freely hosts both experimental and computational structural genomics data. Besides being able to perform their own genome simulations and download the hosted data, users can also analyze and visualize the same data through custom-designed web-based tools. In particular, the one-dimensional genetic and epigenetic data can be overlaid onto accurate 3D structures of chromosomes, to study the spatial distribution of genetic and epigenetic features. In Poland, marketplace trade has a long tradition. There are interesting trends in its development. This form of trade was intensified substantially in the first years of the systemic transformation. A significant increase in the number of marketplaces was also observed in 2000-2008. However, the role of the marketplace in the retail trade sector has declined since 2008. The aim of this paper is to illustrate changes in trading at street markets in2008-2018, identify the main factors influencing their development and pinpoint those which will be significant in future. The sources include secondary data of the Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS) from the Local Data Bank (BDL), internal market statistics, direct research results, reports from various analytical institutions and agencies and available literature. The analysis of the data showed that the number of street markets in Poland declined by 1240 during 2008-2018, including 105 permanent markets and 1135 seasonal ones. The main reason for this change was the growth of discount stores and changes in customer preferences. Government programmes aimed at revitalising street markets and legal regulations facilitating the direct sale of food produced by farmers have not reversed this trend. The observed significant increase in consumer interest in unprocessed food which is safe for human health, which might be linked to the coronavirus pandemic, could result in a revival of street markets

Research background: In the last decade, the importance of institutions in determining economic processes and the economic growth is increasingly emphasized. Only a few papers deal with the efficiency of institutions, especially at a local level. Thus, a question arises whether the local authorities, in their pursuit of performing the assigned tasks, make every effort to attain a high level of efficiency? Purpose of the article: The aim of the paper was to determine the relationships between institutional efficiency and identified areas of stability achieved by local governments in their basic roles. Supplementary aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between the type of a municipality (urban, rural or mixed urban-rural) and the efficiency and stability of undertaken tasks. A research hypothesis was put forth, assuming that the institutional efficiency of municipal governments depends on the level of stability in basic areas of activity pursued by a given municipality. Supplementary aim of this study was to analyze and assess the relationship between the type of a municipality (urban, rural or mixed urban-rural) and the efficiency and stability of undertaken tasks. Methods: An accumulated synthetic index of institutional efficiency and partial indices of efficiency in five areas: economic and spatial, financial, administrative, human resources management in municipal offices, provision of social, cultural and educational services, were derived from data acquired from public statistics (Local Data Bank) and from direct investigations conducted in 2015/2016 in 1220 municipalities out of 2479 ones present in Poland. The method for obtaining the index was linear ordering of multi-feature objects. Findings & Value added: The analyses have confirmed the hypothesis assuming that there is a relationship between the institutional efficiency of local governments and stability of the tasks they performed. These dependences varied in individual provinces of Poland. It is more beneficial for local governments to raise stability by attaining some improvement in these areas where it is low, but not at the expense of those areas where it is high. A specific group of municipalities consisted of urban-rural communities. Their complex and diverse structure must meet the challenge of performing their tasks in specific conditions (urban and rural areas).

During the last three decades, chemical education in Slovenia has developed mainly in two chemistry education research groups, one located at the University of Ljubljana and the other at the University of Maribor. The present study aims to identify research papers in the field of chemical education published between 1991 and 2019 through a database survey. From a total of 273 identified research papers in the field of chemical education, an analysis of the papers published in respected international and Slovenian journals and monographs revealed four main research fields: (1) Submicrorepresentations, Models and Animations, (2) Chemistry Teacher Education, (3) Experimental Work, and (4) Conceptions of Basic Chemical Concepts. For further analysis, only papers published in English in respected peer-reviewed international journals were used (N = 41). Based on citations in Web of Science or Scopus, it seems that papers published in the first field have the greatest impact on the international research community. Some research monographs published in Slovenian aim specifically at contributing to bridging the gap between chemical education research and classroom practice, but further actions are necessary to achieve this goal in the future.

The paper discusses the possibilities and prospects of a disciplinary search portal for sources and data on the history of education in Switzerland called “Bildungsgeschichte Schweiz” (www.bildungsgeschichte.ch). The open-access and multilingual portal offers a combined full-text and metadata search of historic holdings from different collections and providers. In the context of increasing digitisation and public accessibility of historical materials and the ongoing digital transformation of the humanities, the goal is to create a user-friendly “information space” for researchers and non-researchers alike. The paper focuses on the ideas behind building up this information space and on the possibilities that are given with the application of a search function to a large and diverse data basis. Particular attention is paid to the reuse of research data in the light of current open research data strategies. The volume contains the proceedings of the KOMEEO (Knowledge Organization and Management in the domain of Environment and Earth Observation) international conference, organized in the field of the European ERA-PLANET (The European Network for observing our changing Planet) H2020 program. Papers present research projects and experiences related to different aspects of organizing knowledge in the environmental domain, which nowadays is receiving great attention from the European Union. In particular, they address topics related to Knowledge Organization Systems (KOSs), to their application in specific contexts, to the extraction of metadata, to the achievement of semantic interoperability. The Electron Microscopy Data Bank (EMDB) is the central archive of the electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM) community for storing and disseminating volume maps and tomograms. With input from the community, EMDB has developed new resources for validation of cryo-EM structures, focussing on the quality of the volume data alone and that of the fit of any models, themselves archived in the Protein Data Bank (PDB), to the volume data. Based on recommendations from community experts, the validation resources are developed in a three-tiered system. Tier 1 covers an extensive and evolving set of validation metrics, including tried and tested as well as more experimental ones, which are calculated for all EMDB entries and presented in the Validation Analysis (VA) web resource. This system is particularly useful for cryo-EM experts, both to validate individual structures and to assess the utility of new validation metrics. Tier 2 comprises a subset of the validation metrics covered by the VA resource that have been subjected to extensive testing and are considered to be useful for specialists as well as non-specialists. These metrics are presented on the entry-specific web pages for the entire archive on the EMDB website. As more experience is gained with the metrics included in the VA resource, it is expected that consensus will emerge in the community regarding a subset that is suitable for inclusion in the tier 2 system. Tier 3, finally, consists of the validation reports and servers that are produced by the Worldwide Protein Data Bank (wwPDB) Consortium. Successful metrics from tier 2 will be proposed for inclusion in the wwPDB validation pipeline and reports. We describe the details of the new resource, with an emphasis on the tier 1 system. The output of all three tiers is publicly available, either through the EMDB website (tiers 1 and 2) or through the wwPDB ftp sites (tier 3), although the content of all three will evolve over time (fastest for tier 1 and slowest for tier 3). It is our hope that these validation resources will help the cryo-EM community to get a better understanding of the quality, and the best ways to assess the quality of cryo-EM structures in EMDB and PDB.

The Bioinformation and DDBJ (DNA Data Bank of Japan) Center (DDBJ Center; https://www.ddbj.nig.ac.jp) operates archival databases that collect nucleotide sequences, study and sample information, and distribute them without access restriction to progress life science research as a member of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC), in collaboration with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and the European Bioinformatics Institute. Besides the INSDC databases, the DDBJ Center also provides the Genomic Expression Archive for functional genomics data and the Japanese Genotype-phenotype Archive for human data requiring controlled access. Additionally, the DDBJ Center started a new public repository, MetaboBank, for experimental raw data and metadata from metabolomics research in October 2020. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the DDBJ Center openly shares SARS-CoV-2 genome sequences in collaboration with Shizuoka Prefecture and Keio University. The operation of DDBJ is based on the National Institute of Genetics (NIG) supercomputer, which is open for large-scale sequence data analysis for life science researchers. This paper reports recent updates on the archival databases and the services of DDBJ.

The article presents the development of tourism in the Klodzko region in 2004–2016, with particular emphasis on the development of tourism in industrial and post-industrial areas. The background of the description is the characteristics of contemporary processes and socio-economic changes occurring in the studied area. The analyzes are based on statistical data from the Local Data Bank and REGON database as well as on the basis of field research. The article shows that, compared to other economic activities, tourism in the Klodzko region is characterized by a stable development and is of great importance for selected areas of the studied region. Due to the unique anthropogenic values related to the economic history of the Klodzko region, industrial and post-industrial tourism is currently developing intensively in this area. The development potential of this form of tourism in this area has not yet been fully used and in the future it may be an important tourist asset of the region.

National Institute of Aeronautics and Space of Indonesia is obliged to organize remote sensing data storage and distribution through National Remote Sensing Data Bank (BDPJN). BDPJN is a node of the remote sensing data network in a spatial national data network system. BDPJN has the primary function of collecting, storing, distributing metadata and remote sensing data for Indonesia territory. Evaluation of data operation management is needed to guarantee the continuity of the remote sensing data service at BDPJN. It has to ensure that: the catalog can be accessed by users, the catalog is continuously updated with data stored in the BDPJN storage system, and the data is available when needed. This research is purposed to evaluate data operation management on BDPJN. It is implemented by measuring the maturity level of data operations management activities using the CMMI and DMBOK frameworks. The results indicated that BDPJN has ten activities that have met an expected level of maturity. However, five of fifteen activities have below maturity level 3. Three activities at maturity level 1 are Monitor and Tune Database Performance, Plan for Data Retention, Archive, Retain, and Purge Data. The two others are Define the Data Technology Architecture and Evaluate Data Technology, which is at maturity level 2. Recommendations have been arranged based on references from DMBOK for these five activities.

The basic information in the databases «Manufacturers» and «Suppliers» are described. Both the use of information in the FBD PB and its further development at the present stage are presented.

Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt eine neue, umfassende Datenbank über die politischen Agenden Deutschlands vor und zeigt ihr Potenzial in der politikwisssenschaftlichen Forschung auf. Dazu fassen wir im ersten Teil den theoretischen Hintergrund - Agendasetzung - kurz zusammen und stellen anschließend die Datenbank vor. Die Datenbank beinhaltet politische Aktivitäten aus allen Etappen des Policyprozesses: die Inputebene (Öffentliche Meinung und Wahlprogramme der Parteien), die Politikprozessebene (Regierungserklärungen, parlamentarische Anfragen und Gesetzesentwürfe) und die Outputebene (Gesetze). Beobachtungen aus jeder Ebene sind thematisch nach dem Schema des Comparative Agendas Project (CAP) codiert und umfassen den Zeitraum von 1977 bis 2013. Schließlich beschreiben wir die gesamte Datenbank kurz und illustrieren am Beispiel der Energiepolitik, wie dadurch politische Prozesse abgebildet und analysiert werden können. In this article, we introduce a new and comprehensive database that traces the policy agenda in Germany and highlights its potential for political science research. First, we briefly summarize the theoretical roots - agenda-setting - and then present the database. The database covers activities from all stages of the policy process: at the input level (public opinion and election manifestos of the parties), at the policy process level (government statements, parliamentary questions, and bills), and at the output level (laws). Observations from each level are coded thematically according to the Comparative Policy Agendas scheme and includes the period 1977 to 2013. Finally, we briefly describe the complete database and, using the example of energy policy, illustrate how policy processes can be depicted and analyzed in this way. The aim of the study is to design an electronic terminographic product in the form of a terminological data bank (TDB) “Classification Parameters of Phraseological Units” with consistent implementation of infological and datological stages. The object in the study is the TDB, the focus is terms for designation of types of phraseological units (PU), which actively function in Ukrainian and Russian linguistics in the 2nd half of the 20th century to 2020. The methodology of the study is based on theoretical foundations of phraseology, terminology, applied linguistics, and computer terminography (linguistic database/data bank technology). The general and specific scientific methods are used: analysis and synthesis, ascent from the abstract to the concrete, classification, definitional analysis, identification, linguistic observation and description, selection, elements of a statistical method. The infological stage is related to the solution of a set of information problems: 1) definition of the principle of regularization of terms of phraseology, 2) selection of terms with the archeseme “phraseoclassification type” from scientific literature in order to form an alphabetical register, 3) establishment of the composition of the dedicated terminology subsystems, 4) description of terminology subsystems, 5) creation of an electronic catalog of terms for further computer processing of collected information. The main principle of systematization is the thesaurus: “terminological system – terminological microsystem – terminological subsystem – term”. The next step is to develop a datalogical scheme, which is a system of tables whose fields display information about the described terms in the form of data, for example: number, term, terminology subsystem, scientific source, definition, illustration, paradigm relations of the term. The TDB modeled in the work is a special terminology dictionary (monolingual (Ukrainian) in terms of the number of languages involved), which has 113 terms to denote types of PUs and covers 17 classifications of PUs. The TDB “Classification Parameters of Phraseological Units” is positioned as an electronic terminographic product created for storage of information, optimization and intensification of system research on fundamental issues of phraseology and phraseography, works devoted to problems of comprehensive analysis and parameterization of PUs. The prospect of the study is to create a Russian-language version of this terminographic product.

The article discusses the approach to assessing the reliability of execution of topo-geodetic support measures by presenting them as a queuing system, which allows to estimate the probability of servicing the consumer with relevant information and to establish that the task performance will not be impeded due to the failure of the following input parameters: availability of topo-geodetic information in the data bank to the territory required by the consumer; availability and trouble-free operation of the communication channels through which the circulation of topo-geodetic information flows; the availability of the required number of specialists who fill the database with topo-geodetic information in accordance with the existing requirements for its accuracy, clarity and efficiency.

Background Disability management and policymaking require complete and valid data on disability. Objective Development of a minimum data set (MDS) of the information management system for disability in Iran. Methods This descriptive, cross-sectional study was performed in 2017. Data were collected from the documents of persons with disabilities data bank of the State Welfare Organization of Iran available at “payment.behzisti.net”, and data elements of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOHME) resources, in addition to the Internet and library. A checklist was used for data collection. The Delphi technique was applied to reach a consensus about the data elements using a questionnaire. The content validity and reliability of the questionnaire were assessed by experts’ opinions and the test-retest method, respectively. Results An MDS of disability was developed including administrative and clinical categories with 130 and 345 data elements, respectively. Two hundred and thirty eight data elements were mandatory elements (administrative: 60, clinical: 178) and the rest were optional elements. Conclusions An MDS can be a starting point for standardizing the disability data. A minimum data set has the potential to standardize the data and overcome the problem of low-quality disability data in Iran through providing consistent, complete and uniform data elements. Thus, the use of this MDS is useful in determination of the level of disability and its benefits, and in policy-making and effective planning for providing persons with disabilities with more efficient and cost-effective services.

The phenomenon of protein aggregation has been associated with several neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Computational tools have been used to predict regions prone to aggregate in proteins with relative success. We have developed a tool called MAGRE for such predictions, based on the machine learning and sliding window techniques. We have applied the Support Vector Machine algorithm to generate classification models. In order to accomplish classification training, we adopted information of primary structure - protein sequence - from the Amyloid Data Bank. We have implemented two predictor categories according to protein structural information: General and Folding Class. We have selected the best performances of the sliding windows method and considered the folding class in order to develop the predictor. We conducted testing with randomly selected protein sequences from the PDB data bank - MAGRE's performance was compared with two predictors from literature: Aggrescan and Zyggregator, being considered satisfactory.

This article concerns a spatial analysis and the evaluation of the EU funds use supporting rural renewal in Poland under the activity “Rural Renewal and Development”. The level of beneficiaries’ interest is discussed as well as the scale of investments undertaken. The study presents the structure of beneficiaries and the material effects achieved. Moreover, emphasis was put on the conditions determining the acquisition of funds under the analysed activity. The analysis was conducted from the perspective of voivodeships and poviats on the basis of the data included in the Local Data Bank. In the study use was made of the “Report on the implementation of the 2007–2013 Rural Development Programme (RDP)”. This work covers the years 2007–2015 taking into account the rule n+ 2, which extends the financial settlement of the EU assistance by two years.

PDB2INS reads a Protein Data Bank (PDB)-format file and writes a .ins file containing the atom data and instructions for SHELXL refinement. Given only the PDB code of a deposited structure, it automatically creates both files (.ins and .hkl) necessary to refine the structure., The open-source Python program PDB2INS is designed to prepare a .ins file for refinement with SHELXL [Sheldrick (2015). Acta Cryst. C71, 3–8], taking atom coordinates and other information from a Protein Data Bank (PDB)-format file. If PDB2INS is provided with a four-character PDB code, both the PDB file and the accompanying mmCIF-format reflection data file (if available) are accessed via the internet from the PDB public archive [Read et al. (2011). Structure, 19, 1395–1412] or optionally from the PDB_REDO server [Joosten, Long, Murshudov & Perrakis (2014). IUCrJ, 1, 213–220]. The SHELX-format .ins (refinement instructions and atomic coordinates) and .hkl (reflection data) files can then be generated without further user intervention, appropriate restraints etc. being added automatically. PDB2INS was tested on the 23 974 X-ray structures deposited in the PDB between 2008 and 2018 that included reflection data to 1.7 Å or better resolution in a recognizable format. After creating the two input files for SHELXL without user intervention, ten cycles of conjugate-gradient least-squares refinement were performed. For 96% of these structures PDB2INS and SHELXL completed successfully without error messages.

This review study has been based on two main foundations as advances on the attainment of the risk radioactive fallouts levels, and the applications of methods for risk assessment to actual data and visual results, which are based on a 3-year study. A risk analysis model is developed with the animated simulations including the isotope distribution based on soil activity data, 131I measured at 19 stations after the Fukushima accident. Probability distribution functions of the risk levels are obtained in addition to the probability of occurrence (risk) and the probability of non-occurrence (reliability) of the activity risks concerning 131I. The results are used for prediction of 60-day radioactive fallout subsequence and animated (.mp4) through simulations.

—A new data bank containing potential reading frame shifts was developed. A new mathematical method based on the use of the genetic algorithm and dynamic programming was used to search for potential reading frame shifts. The data bank includes coordinates of potential reading frame shifts for coding sequences of 76 eukaryotic genomes from the Ensembl genome browser version 86. The database is located at: http://victoria.biengi.ac.ru/cgi-bin/frameshift/index.cgi . Among all the analyzed genomes approximately 23% of the coding sequences have a reading frame shift. Type I and type II errors are at levels of approximately 11 and 30%. A Web server to search for potential reading frame shifts, which is located at: http://victoria.biengi.ac.ru/fsfinder , was developed simultaneously with the data bank. The server can be used to search for potential reading frame shifts in newly defined coding sequences.

In this paper a methodology is proposed to find the structural conformation of unknown proteins. As a case of study, the GPN-Loop GTPase (GPN) protein family was used. The sequence of the GPN proteins was obtained from the Universal Protein Resource data bank. After that the obtained sequence was introduced in the protein structure prediction system (version 3) to obtain the possible structure of these proteins under analysis. Python Molecular Software was used to model the structure of the proteins and identify their possible 3D conformation. Finally, with visualization and analysis tool for biological interaction data software show the interaction between the found proteins like an attempt to confirm the structural information proposed.

The isolation of target-unrelated peptides (TUPs) through biopanning remains as a major problem of phage display selection experiments. These TUPs do not have any actual affinity toward targets of interest, which tend to be mistakenly identified as target-binding peptides. Therefore, an information portal for storing TUP data is urgently needed. Here, we present a TUP data bank (TUPDB), which is a comprehensive, manually curated database of approximately 73 experimentally verified TUPs and 1963 potential TUPs collected from TUPScan, the BDB database, and public research articles. The TUPScan tool has been integrated in TUPDB to facilitate TUP analysis. We believe that TUPDB can help identify and remove TUPs in future reports in the biopanning community. The database is of great importance to improving the quality of phage display-based epitope mapping and promoting the development of vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics. Zudem werden wichtige datenschutzrechtliche und datenqualitätssichernde Maßnahmen beschrieben. Daten von Asylsuchenden und Asylantragstellenden werden sowohl zum Zweck der Identitätsfeststellung und -sicherung, zur Überprüfung der Schutzbedürftigkeit, als auch zu verwaltungsspezifischen sowie integrations- und sicherheitsrelevanten Zwecken im Asylverfahren erfasst. Data of asylum seekers and asylum applicants are collected for the purpose of establishing and documenting identity, verifying the need for protection, as well as for administrative, integration and security-related purposes.

In recent years, cryo-electron microscopy technology has rapidly developed and become a key method in the structural biology field. Moreover, the number of people engaged in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) is increasing rapidly in China with attendant explosive growth in cryo-EM data. Therefore, to meet the academic demand for access to cryo-EM data and to promote the development of the structural biology field, the European Institute of Bioinformatics established the Electron Microscopy Data Bank (EMDB) in Europe. Furthermore, the Committee for the Study of Cryo-Electron Microscopy of the Chinese Society of Biophysics partnered with the European Bioinformatics Institute to establish a mirror site of the EMDB in China to aid researchers in conveniently uploading and downloading high-resolution electron microscopy data, to promote cryo-EM-related research efforts, and to enhance the international status of China’s basic research. This paper introduces aspects of the Chinese mirror website: the construction idea, structure, function realization, visualization tools, and running status. Furthermore, details of an analysis of the total visits to the website from the beginning of the website launch to October 30, 2019, are provided. Finally, future prospects of the Electron Microscope Database are assessed; briefly, we suggest it will play a crucial role in supporting and developing the field of structural biology.

Summary There are considered the latest digital resources of the International Seabed Authority (ISA), which should be used for: carrying out research in the International Seabed Area, particularly in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone, including modern information technology usage; formation of the marine geological and geophysical module of the Oceanographic Data Bank of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the aim to exchange oceanographic data with the ISA DeepData database, as well as to develop the National Geospatial Data Infrastructure and form a modern digital oceanographic data industry in Ukraine.

This paper consists of a technique that helps to build a well-structured character interaction network from plays and novels. In addition, the resulting network describes the leading characters along with their gender. Moreover, the network analyzes the gender of the central characters to the plots preferred by the author. We propose a databank called Novel and Plot Data Bank (NPDB) to store the relevant information by computing informative properties of the resulting network.

In this paper we present an updated and homogeneous earthquake data set for Italy compiled by joining the Italian Macroseismic Database DBMI15 and the Engineering Strong-Motion (ESM) accelerometric data bank. The database has been compiled through an extensive procedure of selection and revision based on two main steps: 1) the removal of several earthquakes in DBMI15 because the data source has been considered to be largely unreliable and 2) the extraction of all the localities reporting intensity data which are located within 3 km from the accelerograph stations that recorded the data. The final data set includes 323 recordings from 65 earthquakes and 227 stations in the time span 1972–2016. The events are characterized by magnitudes in the range 4.0–6.9 and depths in the range 0.3–45.0 km. Here, we illustrate the data collection and the properties of the database in terms of recording, event and station distributions as well as Mercalli-Cancani-Sieberg (MCS) macroseismic intensity points. Furthermore, we discuss the most relevant features of engineering interest showing several statistics with reference to the most significant metadata (such as moment magnitude, several distance metrics, style of faulting etc). A database containing the titles of the records of all seismic events recorded by the network of stations of the Geophysical Institute “Vladikavkaz” and “Karmadon Parametric Test Site” was created. The application of the event sampling procedure makes it possible to select records registered simultaneously by several stations for their subsequent analysis and processing. To process the received data of the Karmadon parametric test site network, a special program for editing events in the SEV format was developed. It allows calling utility programs for their subsequent processing. Utilities for viewing and editing adb file headers, adb file converter to text format. Such data structuring allows not only finding the necessary records from the data bank, but also performing more complex operations using SQL queries. The created replenished database of seismic records and events when it is filled with a large amount of data can become an object that belongs to the category of big data.

Telemarketing is one of the marketing methods valued by enterprises in marketing tools. Compared with general channel sales, it not only has lower cost, but also has better interaction with customers, and the entire sales process is faster. And where necessary processing huge owned material times, how to improve at the processing efficiency rate and the exploration of useful information is competitive advantage to the source, using AI technology to assist market segmentation and promotion is currently the commonly used method. Telemarketing is the use of information technology to carry out planned sales activities for the target market, helping the company maintain close ties with existing or potential customers, and increase sales and services. In this research, we use the data set of the direct marketing activities of Portuguese banking institutions in the UCI data bank as the data sample. We use python to build an AI prediction model, including Logistic Regression (LR), and a decision tree (DT) and support vector machine (SVM), three modeling results show that the accuracy of the way were 0.908 (LR), 0.887 (DT), 0.899 (SVM), with Logistic regression analysis performed the best.

This study is an attempt to assess the level of innovation and the standard of living of residents in individual voivodships of Poland in 2007 and 2016. A taxonomic method of Hellwig’s development pattern was used for this purpose, which allowed to establish synthetic indicators on the basis of which voivodships with the relatively highest and lowest levels analyzed were identified phenomena. As well as this, groups of voivodships with a similar level of living and innovation were established. In addition, an attempt was made to evaluate the mutual ties of both rankings of voivodships. The values of diagnostic features needed to perform the relevant calculations come from the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office.

The aim of the article is to present the importance of tourism in the development of the city, which is an area with significant tourist traffic. Particular attention was paid to the fact that the increasing number of tourists generates increasing intensity of the flow of people, goods and information within the city. This favours the emergence of difficulties in city logistics. The need for research that aims to design and implement solutions to these problems was indicated. The research involved three cities considered to be attractive for tourists, located in two Polish coastal regions, i.e. Świnoujście and Szczecin (West Pomeranian region) and Gdansk (Pomeranian region). The first of these cities is also a health resort. The analysis of tourist traffic in these cities concerns the years 1995–2016. Based on it, the forecast was made until 2021. The source of statistical data was the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office. The research procedure and the structure of the article were subordinated to meeting the research objective.

Financial condition of basic units of territorial government is a complex phenomenon. Some authors associate it with the financial situation of the particular commune. Knowledge of the conditions influencing the situation enables governing bodies of the territorial government to make proper financial decisions. The aim of the article is an attempt to evaluate the diversity of factors shaping financial condition of communes of Siedlce subregion between 2014 and 2016. Essential data was taken from the Local Data Bank. The following features were taken into account while shaping the level of particular variables in Siedlce subregion: the measure of central tendency as well as the measures of dispersion and concentration. The conducted research indicated that communes in the studied region were the most diverse as far as their own revenue was concerned. However, they were the most homogenous when it came to the cycle of rotation of budgetary appropriations.

Aim: The International Tree‐Ring Data Bank (ITRDB) is the most comprehensive database of tree growth. To evaluate its usefulness and improve its accessibility to the broad scientific community, we aimed to: (a) quantify its biases, (b) assess how well it represents global forests, (c) develop tools to identify priority areas to improve its representativity, and d) make available the corrected database. Location: Worldwide. Time period: Contributed datasets between 1974 and 2017. Major taxa studied: Trees. Methods: We identified and corrected formatting issues in all individual datasets of the ITRDB. We then calculated the representativity of the ITRDB with respect to species, spatial coverage, climatic regions, elevations, need for data update, climatic limitations on growth, vascular plant diversity, and associated animal diversity. We combined these metrics into a global Priority Sampling Index (PSI) to highlight ways to improve ITRDB representativity. Results: Our refined dataset provides access to a network of >52 million growth data points worldwide. We found, however, that the database is dominated by trees from forests with low diversity, in semi‐arid climates, coniferous species, and in western North America. Conifers represented 81% of the ITRDB and even in well‐sampled areas, broadleaves were poorly represented. Our PSI stressed the need to increase the database diversity in terms of broadleaf species and identified poorly represented regions that require scientific attention. Great gains will be made by increasing research and data sharing in African, Asian, and South American forests. Main conclusions: The extensive data and coverage of the ITRDB show great promise to address macroecological questions. To achieve this, however, we have to overcome the significant gaps in the representativity of the ITRDB. A strategic and organized group effort is required, and we hope the tools and data provided here can guide the efforts to improve this invaluable database.

В связи с накоплением в сфере здравоохранения больших клинических данных (БКД) появляется актуальная задача построения проблемно/ориентированных информационных моделей таких данных и формирования банков клинических данных (БКД). Наибольший интерес представляют процессные модели клинических данных, в которых лечебно/диагностический процесс предлагается моделировать дискретным конечномерным управляемым процессом. Отмечена принципиальная не наблюдаемость вектора состояния объекта управления и его большая размерность. Обоснована необходимость применения технологий Больших Данных для построения БКД. Представлены две реляционные модели клинических данных в процессной форме. Приведен авторский опыт применения одной из представленных реляционных моделей. Отмечена перспективность второй реляционной модели, основанной на реляционной СУБД с хранением данных по колонкам. Результаты работы будут полезны разработчикам информационных систем в сфере здравоохранения.

The article describes the difficult choice between public and personal interests which the archivists have to make while providing access to archival documents with personal information. A special attention is given to creation of databases, which facilitate the search for information, but being accessible to the unlimited number of users may cause distress or damage to the data subject or to his/her relatives. By the example of the united open access data bank “Memorial” of the Russian Ministry of defense, it is demonstrated how different the conception of data protection law and archival legislation can be, depending on the circumstances. The imperfection of the legislation which creates many problems for archives gives them at the same time more possibilities for the realization of their social, cultural and educational functions.
