This article seeks to analyze the concept of imagination in relation to other functions of the personality and some aspects of how it has been addressed in school education. The resources and methods used for writing the text involve bibliographic researchof articles and books by authors linked to historical-cultural theory and dialectical historical materialism such as Vigotski, Leontiev, Marino Filho, Heller, Marx, etc. The human capacity to jointly articulate several actions to produce something new is to be fundamental in the organization of the human psychological system. Representing the real in images has enabled artistic, philosophical and scientific advancement throughout history. Throughout the text, we demystified the idea that imagination is something typical of genius people, but rather something that is present in all moments of life. We conclude that although the creative processes of the imagination are vital for human development and have been intensively worked on in school education today,the intentionality that permeates this education has a market and capitalist bias in the search for the development of skills to maximize the exploitation of work. Even if the scope of the educational work for the development of the imagination is to promote capital, we consider that it still impacts the personality and enhances human capacities.

Resumo Quase 80 anos depois da morte de Vigotski, o grande público de intelectuais do campo da psicologia e da pedagogia fica com a sensação de desconhecimento sobre o pensamento desse autor, muito em função dos problemas de tradução dos seus textos em russo para outras línguas. A parte das edições estrangeiras dessas obras aconteceu durante o período de disputa ideológica entre EUA e URSS; e, mesmo em seu país, a produção científica de Vigotski foi retaliada pelo governo de Joseph Stalin. Hoje em dia, ainda há textos desse pensador que não foram publicados em russo. O presente artigo se pauta por um recorte teórico dentro da extensa produção acadêmica de Lev Vigotski. Este ensaio pretende discutir os conceitos de “vivência” nas obras de Vigotski. A palavra “vivência” é uma tradução para a língua portuguesa do vocábulo perejivanie, do idioma russo. Vigotski, em seus textos, também utiliza a palavra opit (experiência, em português), mas com um sentido distinto. A pesquisa defende que o conceito de “vivência” contribui para que os estudiosos da educação interpretem toda ação humana como portadora de uma certa atividade criativa. Abstract Almost 80 years after Vygotsky’s death, the great public of intellectuals in the field of psychology and pedagogy gets the feeling of ignorance about the thought of this author, much due to the problems of translating his texts in Russian into other languages. Part of the foreign editions of these works occurred during the period of ideological dispute between US and USSR; and even in his country, the scientific production of Vygotsky was retaliated by the government of Joseph Stalin. Nowadays, there are still texts of this thinker that have not been published in Russian. The present article is based on a theoretical cut within the extensive academic production of Lev Vygotsky. This essay aims to discuss the concepts of “experience” in Vygotsky’s works. The word “experience” is a translation into the Portuguese language of the word perejivanie, from the Russian language. Vigotski, in his texts, also uses the word opit (“experience”, in Portuguese), but with a different meaning. The research argues that the concept of “experience” contributes to education scholars interpret all human action as having a certain creative activity.

Este texto tem por objetivo refletir sobre o movimento de um sujeito e sua relação com a criação artística, apontando que neste processo articulam-se dialeticamente o saber, o fazer e o sentir. As análises sustentam-se nas falas desse sujeito, coletadas por meio de entrevistas e registros em vídeo de sua participação em uma disciplina de um curso de graduação em Psicologia. As reflexões decorrentes, por sua vez, pautam-se nos aportes teóricos da Psicologia Histórico-Cultural e revelam a complexidade do processo de constituição do sujeito que, via atividade criadora, parte da realidade e a transforma, transformando nesse movimento a si mesmo e ao modo como significa tanto a sua própria trajetória quanto o contexto do qual ativamente participa. This text has for objective reflect about the moviment of a subject and his relation with the artistic creation, aiming that in this I process articulate herself dialeticaly the knowledge, do him and feel him. Was analysed the speeches collected with interviews and records in video of his participation in a subject discipline of the one course of Psychology. The reflections was suposted by theoretical of the Historical-Cultural Psychology. Was possible reveal the complexity of the trial of constitution of the person that, road creative activity, part of the reality and it transforms, transforming in that movement to itself even and to the way as signifies so much to its own as much as path the context of which actively participates.
