PurposeThe glycolytic enzyme fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolase B (ALDOB) is aberrantly expressed and impacts the prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Hepatic ALDOB loss leads to paradoxical upregulation of glucose metabolism, favoring hepatocellular carcinogenesis. Nevertheless, the relationship between ALDOB expression and 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) uptake, and their effects on HCC prognosis remain unclear. We evaluated whether ALDOB expression is associated with 18F-FDG uptake and their impacts on HCC prognosis prediction.MethodsChanges in ALDOB expression levels and the prognostic values in HCC were analyzed using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Ultimately, 34 patients with HCC who underwent 18F-FDG positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) preoperatively were enrolled in this retrospective study. ALDOB expression was determined using immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining, and the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) of HCC was calculated from the 18F-FDG PET/CT scans. The relationship between ALDOB expression and SUVmax was examined, and their impacts on overall survival were evaluated using Cox proportional hazards models and Kaplan–Meier survival analysis. ALDOB overexpression in HUH7 and 7721 cells was used to analyze its role in tumor metabolism.ResultsAccording to TCGA database, the ALDOB mRNA level was downregulated in HCC compared to normal tissue, and significantly shortened overall survival in HCC patients. ALDOB protein expression was similarly decreased in IHC findings in HCC than that in adjacent normal tissues (P18F-FDG uptake and lactate production.ConclusionSUVmax in HCC patients is inversely correlated with ALDOB expression, and 18F-FDG PET/CT may be useful for ALDOB status prediction. The combined use of ALDOB expression and 18F-FDG PET/CT data can provide additional information on disease prognosis in HCC patients.

TiNb2O7 is considered to be one of the ideal candidate anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) because of its safe working potential and high theoretical capacity. However, its low intrinsic conductivity and poor ionic diffusion rate hinder its practical application. In this study, an ultrathin N-doped carbon coating was uniformly deposited onto hierarchical porous TiNb2O7 microspheres by combining a solvothermal route with a carbonization process using ionic liquid. The TiNb2O7@N-doped carbon microspheres exhibited an ultra-high rate performance (208 mA h g−1 at 30 C) and excellent cycling stability (specific capacity retention of 79% after 500 cycles at 10 C), and showed excellent electrochemical performance in a full cell using LiNi0·5Mn0·3Co0·2O2 as a cathode. The superior performance can be attributed to the synergistic effects between the ultrathin N-doped carbon coating and unique microstructure. Therefore, TiNb2O7@N–C is a promising negative electrode for high-power LIBs.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of overnight orthokeratology (OK) lenses on anisometropes. Methods: We enrolled 178 anisometropes from August 2015 to August 2017. We then divided these patients into 2 parts depending on them wearing either monocular or binocular OK lenses. In part one, 47 monocular myopic subjects (25 males and 22 females) were treated with OK lenses in the myopic eyes only. We also labeled the myopic eyes as the OK group and the contralateral nonmyopic eyes as the control group. The initial average wearing age of the subjects was 12.35 ± 2.37 years (8–16 years). The mean follow-up duration was 15.43 ± 4.88 months (7–25 months). The average spherical equivalent refraction (SER) was −2.31 ± 1.16 diopter (D) in the OK group and 0.15 ± 0.49 D in the control group (p < 0.001). In part 2, 131 binocular myopic anisometropes (56 males and 75 females) were involved in the study. The eyes with more severe myopia were assigned to the G group and the contralateral eyes to the L group. The initial average wearing age of the subjects was 12.92 ± 2.60 years ( 8–16 years). The mean follow-up duration was 17.83 ± 5.02 months (7–26 months). The average SER was −4.79 ± 1.90 D in the G group and −3.14 ± 1.88 D in the L group (p < 0.001). We calculated the axial length (AL) difference and AL elongation as our primary outcome measures. Results: In part one, the AL elongation in the OK group (0.21 ± 0.09 mm) was significantly lower than that in the control group (0.70 ± 0.17 mm) at 24 months (p < 0.001). Meanwhile, the AL difference exhibited a decrease of 0.50 ± 0.29 mm from a baseline of 1.08 ± 0.35 to 0.58 ± 0.25 mm at 24 months (F = 24.539, p < 0.001). In part 2, the AL had increased by 0.17 ± 0.13 mm in the G group and 0.24 ± 0.18 mm in the L group after 24-month follow-up, respectively (p < 0.001). While the AL difference decreased from 0.55 ± 0.11 mm at the baseline, to 0.48 ± 0.08 mm at 24 months, eliciting a decrement in AL difference of 0.07 ± 0.09 mm (F = 3.884, p = 0.030). Conclusions: OK lenses can slow down AL growth in anisometropes and has a greater effect on reducing AL elongation in the more severely affected myopic eyes of anisometropic patients.

High fluoride water is a crucial driving factor for endemic fluorosis. As an important research content of hydrogeochemistry, the enrichment of fluorine in alkaline water has received a fair amount of scholarly attention, but the understanding of the migration and enrichment of fluorine in acid mine drainage (AMD) in karst area remains very limited. An analysis of 13 consecutive periods of hydrochemical samples (312 samples in total) revealed that the weathering of carbonates and sulfide-rich coal measures induced a pH as low as 2.29 in the Chetian River in Jinsha, Southwest China. The highest content of fluorine in AMD was 23.8 mg/L, and the average content in the basin was 1.4 mg/L. In terms of the seasonal variation in the whole basin, the fluorine content were higher in the rainy season than in the dry season. The mineral saturation index shows that the dissolution of fluorapatite and fluorite is an important source of fluorine. The chloro-alkaline indices displayed a strong ion exchange process in the basin, promoting the release of fluorine in silicate minerals. In comparison, the contribution of external inputs, such as atmospheric deposition, was less. Additionally, evaporation was shown to have a limited influence on fluorine enrichment. Meanwhile, pH was an essential factor driving the dynamic transformation of the mode of occurrence of fluorine in water. In the upstream alkaline water, the main occurrence form of fluorine was free F

The unique ReO3 crystallographic shear structure of TiNb2O7 has enabled its application as anode material for lithium-ion batteries, in which the lattice parameter and volume change of TiNb2O7 are often negligible during lithium-ion insertion/extraction. However, several intrinsic problems of TiNb2O7, including low electronic and ionic conductivity, can restrict its application significantly. In this study, carbon-coated mesoporous TiNb2O7 microspheres are fabricated through a simple solvothermal reaction. By combining the advantages of both the amorphous carbon and mesoporous structure, TiNb2O7/C composite exhibits superior lithium storage performance, with higher rate capability (200 mAh g−1 at 30 C) and cyclability (191 mAh g−1 at 10 C after 500 cycles). The improved performance is due mainly to the high pseudocapacitance and low charge transfer resistance obtained from the mesoporous structure and amorphous carbon layer. The study provides a new way of constructing TiNb2O7 for ultra-fast storage devices, demonstrating great potential for application in power batteries.

Nuclear-localized epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) highly correlates with the malignant progression and may be a promising therapeutic target for breast cancer. However, molecular mechanisms of nuclear EGFR in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) have not been fully elucidated. Here, we performed gene-annotation enrichment analysis for the interactors of nuclear EGFR and found that RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) were closely associated with nuclear EGFR. We further demonstrated p54nrb/NONO, one of the RBPs, significantly interacted with nuclear EGFR. NONO was upregulated in 80 paired TNBC tissues and indicated a poor prognosis. Furthermore, NONO knockout significantly inhibited TNBC proliferation in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, NONO increased the stability of nuclear EGFR and recruited CREB binding protein (CBP) and its accompanying E1A binding protein p300, thereby enhancing the transcriptional activity of EGFR. In turn, EGFR positively regulated the affinity of NONO to mRNAs of nuclear EGFR downstream genes. Furthermore, the results indicated that the nuclear EGFR/NONO complex played a critical role in tumorigenesis and chemotherapy resistance. Taken together, our findings indicate that NONO enhances nuclear EGFR-mediated tumorigenesis and may be a potential therapeutic target for TNBC patients with nuclear EGFR expression.

An edge labeling of a connected graph $G = (V, E)$ is said to be local antimagic if it is a bijection $f:E \to\{1,\ldots ,|E|\}$ such that for any pair of adjacent vertices $x$ and $y$, $f^+(x)\not= f^+(y)$, where the induced vertex label $f^+(x)= \sum f(e)$, with $e$ ranging over all the edges incident to $x$. The local antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted by $\chi_{la}(G)$, is the minimum number of distinct induced vertex labels over all local antimagic labelings of $G$. In this paper, we characterize $s$-bridge graphs with local antimagic chromatic number 2.

Ti 2 Nb 10 O 29 (TNO) microspheres are fabricated combining a solvothermal method with a subsequent heat-treatment. Structural and morphological properties of the as-prepared material have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and nitrogen adsorption/desorption. The electrochemical performance is evaluated by performing cyclic voltammograms and galvanostatic discharge/charge tests. The electrochemical characterization demonstrates that the as-prepared TNO microspheres exhibit a good electrochemical performance with a discharge capacity of 185 mAh g −1 after 200 cycles and a capacity retention of 94% at 10 C. Furthermore, since TNO may react with Li at a voltage above 1.0 V vs. Li + /Li, TNO microspheres could be the promising high-power anode materials for 2 V vs. Li + /Li lithium-ion batteries applications.

Porous Nb2O5 microspheres have been prepared by a facile solvothermal method and subsequent heat-treatment using cheap NbCl5 as a starting material. As anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), porous Nb2O5 microspheres show good electrochemical performance with discharge capacities of 199 mA h g−1 after 50 cycles at a current density of 100 mA g−1 and 126 mA h g−1 after 150 cycles at a current density of 500 mA g−1, respectively. The good electrochemical performance of porous Nb2O5 microspheres can be ascribed to the distinct structure of the microspheres consisted of nanoparticles with short transport route for ion and electron, large specific surface and mesoporous structure. The electrochemical testing results demonstrate that porous Nb2O5 microspheres are the promising alternate as anode materials for LIBs.

Hierarchical Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 -TiO 2 microspheres are synthesized via an oil/water interface method with the assistance of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and following calcination. The as-prepared Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 -TiO 2 microspheres are consisted of nanoflakes ( ca. 15 nm in thickness); moreover, Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 and anatase TiO 2 in the nanoflake building blocks are bounded by (011) and (001) facets, respectively. More especially, it is found that CTAB plays a very important role in the phase and morphology of the Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 -TiO 2 composite. When employed as the anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, the Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 -TiO 2 microspheres show initial discharge capacities of 234, 170, 151 and 140 mAh g −1 at charge/discharge rate of 1, 5, 10, and 20C, respectively; furthermore, after 100 cycles at 5C, the discharge capacity remains at 158 mAh g −1 with a capacity retention of 92.9%. The excellent electrochemical properties of the product can be ascribed to the synergistic effect of the exposed Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 (011) and anatase TiO 2 (001) facets, abundant phase interfaces, hierarchical structures, and thin flake-like building blocks.

TiNb2O7 is considered as a promising anode material for high-power lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to its significantly high rate performance, safety, and reversible capacity. However, its application is limited by its sluggish Li-ion diffusion kinetics and poor electrical conductivity. Herein, N-doped carbon-coated porous TiNb2O7 microspheres were successfully synthesized via solvothermal route and the subsequent carbonization process using polydopamine as a nitrided and carbon precursor. The resulting TiNb2O7@N-C composite exhibited a significant high-rate capability (201 mAh g−1 at 30 C) and superior cycling stability (capacity retention of 97.1% at 10 C after 500 cycles). Additionally, the TiNb2O7@N-C composite also performed well in a LiNi0.5Mn0.3Co0.2O4||TiNb2O7@N-C full cell (128 mAh g−1 at 10 C after 500 cycles with a capacity retention of 91.7%). These results indicate that the TiNb2O7@N-C composite possesses significant potential for application as an anode material for next-generation high-rate LIBs.

Counselors in China Higher Vocational and Technical College are mainly responsible for educating and guiding students' behavior and moral standards, correcting some students' behavior and strengthening students' legal consciousness. Counselors are good teachers and helpful friends of students' quality education. The characteristics of counselors as important educators cannot be ignored. But in reality, the assessment, evaluation, promotion, salary adjustment and other aspects of higher vocational colleges still favor front-line teachers and researchers, while the counselors are ignored. This practice has damaged the professional confidence and enthusiasm of counselors, which is an important reason for the high dimission rate of counselors, which has aroused the attention of many educators. In this context, as early as 1999, there appeared a lot of academic papers on the analysis and research of the high dimission rate of counselors in private vocational colleges. The high turnover rate of counselors in private higher vocational and technical colleges in China has seriously affected the teaching quality of the schools, as well as the students' behavior and moral norms during the school period. The purpose of writing this article is to study how to solve the problem of high dimission rate of counselors in private vocational colleges through detailed data and systematic demonstration. At the same time, it is scientifically demonstrated that as the director of students' quality-oriented education, the counselor has the characteristics of the implementer of education. Using the method of big data analysis, we come to the conclusion that counselors are important implementers of students' quality-oriented education, and counselors also play an important role in cultivating students' good moral quality. This point of view is affirmed in the article, the counselor's position is irreplaceable.

TiNb 6 O 17 /C composites were obtained via a facile solid-state reaction with TiO 2 , Nb 2 O 5 and glucose as the starting materials. The lattice structure and morphology of the composite were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electronic microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The electrochemical properties were characterized by rate charge/discharge measurements and cyclic voltammetry. Electrochemical measurements demonstrate that the TiNb 6 O 17 /C composite exhibits electrochemical properties superior to those of pure TiNb 6 O 17 , especially at high current rates. The initial discharge capacities of TiNb 6 O 17 /C are 239, 225.1 and 199.8 mAh g −1 at 1, 5 and 10 C, respectively. Even after 500 cycles at 10 C, the capacity still remains 165.1 mAh g −1 , while the capacity of TiNb 6 O 17 is only 74.8 mAh g −1 . The excellent electrochemical performance of TiNb 6 O 17 /C is attributed to the improvement of the electrical conductivity resulting from carbon coating.

This paper expounds the development opportunities of higher vocational education institutions in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the necessity of accelerating the adjustment and improvement of teaching methods, based on the data analysis of auto maintenance industry, logistics transportation production, finance and the other fields of skilled personnel in this Area. Since the implementation of the Outline of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, the newly registered similar industries in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have increased dramatically, showing a substantial increase. On the one hand, it is found that some enterprises and employers are reduce the number of posts and personnel so as to reduce the input cost of human resources, and reduce unnecessary production links so as to avoid invalid production costs, so as to improve work efficiency. On the other hand, they are in urgent need of high-level technical and technical talents who can fight when they come. The graduates of higher vocational colleges were never favored by employers, and their orientation and direction were unclear. Compared with the graduation certificates of ordinary colleges and universities with the same major, they were "second-class certificates". In fact, the graduation certificates of higher vocational colleges are showed the characteristics of "practical certificates".

In this paper, we prove that $(-\infty, 0)$ is a zero-free interval for chromatic polynomials of a family ${\cal L}_0$ of hypergraphs and $(0, 1)$ is a zero-free interval for chromatic polynomials of a subfamily ${\cal L}_0'$ of ${\cal L}_0$ of hypergraphs. These results extend known results on zero-free intervals of chromatic polynomials of graphs and hypergraphs., Comment: 4 figures, 16 references. Accepted by Discrete Mathematics

The conditions for extraction of the total flavonoids from Flos pueraria was optimized and the purification and separation process were conducted to identify the main constituents of the total flavonoids as well. The solvent for extraction and its concentration, the solid-to-liquid ratio, extraction duration, temperature and ultrasonic frequency were investigated through a single-factor experiment. An orthogonal design (L9 (34) was constructed to achieve the best extraction conditions. The crude extract was then purified sequentially by petroleum ether, ethanol and chloroform, n-butyl alcohol, and eluted gradually with mixed mobile phase of methanol-chloroform solution in the silica gel column system. The ingredients were further separated by color reaction, ultraviolet spectrophotometry, high performance liquid chromatography, infrared and mass spectral analysis. The optimum extraction condition for the total flavonoids from F. pueraria was as follows: extraction by 50% (v/v) methanol solution, the solid-to-liquid ratio at 1:30, extraction duration 2.0 h, the temperature of 70°C, ultrasound 3 times and 30 min each time. Five isoflavones were separated and identified as irisolidone, genistein, daidzein, kakkalide and puerarin, respectively. Under these optimal conditions, the yield of total flavonoids in the extracts was up to 17.5%, while the output rate previously reported is about 8% in general. Our study provided means for further development and utilization of the bioactive components from F. pueraria. Key words: Flos pueraria, flavonoids, orthogonal design, purification, ultrasound-assisted extraction.

A blind source separation method is proposed to identify source interfering signals at analog circuits nodes. Based on an instantaneous linear mixing model, independent component analysis algorithm is used for separating interfering signals from observed signals. The influences of energy storage circuit elements such as capacitance are analyzed via numerical and experimental simulations. It is shown that, for circuits in which energy storage circuit elements perform less significant effects, relatively satisfied separation results of interfering signals can be obtained. On the other hand, in cases that energy storage circuit elements have significant effects, the separation results will deteriorate. Moreover, when a known input signal is enclosed in the observed mixtures, the separation results for interfering signals will be obviously improved.

Objective: To understand the new cooperative medical status in our country is to provide scientific basis for further improving the new rural cooperative medical policies and promoting rural health service. Method: We investigated the rural residents' new cooperative medical status quo of 520 rural residents in Hubei, Chongqing, Shanxi, Jiangxi etc. by designing the questionnaire of rural cooperative medical status quo by ourselves. Result: The new rural cooperative medical treatment has been launched in most of the rural areas in our country. The farmers most concerned about the cooperative medical accounts and expense account summiting etc. The village clinic is the first choice of institutions after the farmers are ill and most rural residents believe the traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Conclusion: Our government should strengthen the construction of rural basic medical institutions, and perfect the system of new cooperative medical, and improve the professional level of rural medical staffs, at the same time attaching importance to the role of traditional Chinese medicine in the new rural cooperative medical treatment.

The aromatic hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) mediates biological responses to certain exogenous ligands, such as the environmental contaminant 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD), and has also been demonstrated to modulate the cell cycle and differentiated state of several cell lines independently of exogenous ligands. In this study, we used DNA micorarray analysis to elucidate the profile of genes responsive to the expression of unliganded AhR by re-introducing AhR into an AhR-deficient mouse derivative (c19) of the mouse hepatoma cell line Hepa1c1c7. 22 gene products were up-regulated and 8 were down-regulated two-fold or more in c19 cells infected with a retroviral vector expressing mouse AhR. Surprisingly, expression of genes involved in cell proliferation or differentiation were not affected by introduction of AhR. AhR also did not restore expression of the albumin gene in c19 cells. Introduction of AhR into c12, a similar AhR-defective mouse hepatoma cell line, also did not restore albumin expression, and furthermore, did not lead to changes in cellular morphology or cell cycle parameters. These observations fail to support the notion that unliganded AhR regulates proliferation and differentiation of liver-derived cells.
