Gravitational waves (GWs) from the compact binary coalescences can be used as standard sirens to explore the cosmic expansion history. In the next decades, it is anticipated that we could obtain the multi-band GW standard siren data (from nanohertz to a few hundred hertz), which are expected to play an important role in cosmological parameter estimation. In this work, we give for the first time the joint constraints on cosmological parameters using the future multi-band GW standard siren observations. We simulate the multi-band GW standard sirens based on the SKA-era pulsar timing array (PTA), the Taiji observatory, and the Cosmic Explorer (CE) to perform cosmological analysis. In the $\Lambda$CDM model, we find that the joint PTA+Taiji+CE data could provide a tight constraint on the Hubble constant with a $0.5\%$ precision. Moreover, PTA+Taiji+CE could break the cosmological parameter degeneracies generated by CMB, especially in the dynamical dark energy models. When combining the PTA+Taiji+CE data with the CMB data, the constraint precisions of $\Omega_{\rm m}$ and $H_0$ are $1.0\%$ and $0.3\%$, meeting the standard of precision cosmology. The joint CMB+PTA+Taiji+CE data give $\sigma(w)=0.028$ in the $w$CDM model and $\sigma(w_0)=0.11$ and $\sigma(w_a)=0.32$ in the $w_0w_a$CDM model, which are comparable with or close to the latest constraint results by CMB+BAO+SN. We present a forecast of the cosmological parameter estimation using fast radio bursts (FRBs) from the upcoming Square Kilometre Array (SKA), focusing on the issues of dark energy, the Hubble constant, and baryon density. We simulate $10^5$ and $10^6$ localized FRBs from a 10-year SKA observation, and find that: (i) using $10^6$ FRB data alone can tightly constrain dark-energy equation of state parameters better than CMB+BAO+SN, providing a single cosmological probe to explore dark energy; (ii) combining the FRB data with gravitational wave standard siren data from 10-year observation with the Einstein Telescope, the Hubble constant can be constrained to a sub-percent level, serving as a powerful low-redshift probe; (iii) using $10^6$ FRB data can constrain the baryon density $\Omega_{\rm b}h$ to a precision of $\sim 0.1\%$. Our results indicate that SKA-era FRBs will provide precise cosmological measurements to shed light on both dark energy and the missing baryon problem, and help resolve the Hubble tension., Comment: 16 pages, 6 figures

Neutral hydrogen (HI) intensity mapping (IM) surveys are considered a promising tool for investigating the expansion history of the Universe. In this work, we explore the potential of MeerKAT HI IM observations in interferometer mode to estimate the power spectrum and constrain cosmological parameters within typical dark energy models. We employ an approach called the "delay spectrum," which allows us to separate the weak HI signal from foreground contamination in the frequency domain. Our findings indicate that the choice of survey fields significantly impacts the fractional errors on the power spectrum ($\Delta P/P$) within a limited observational time of 10 hours. As the integration time increases from 10 hours to 10,000 hours, $\Delta P/P$ progressively decreases until cosmic variance begins to dominate. For a total observation time of 10,000 hours, the lowest $\Delta P/P$ at low $k$ can be achieved by tracking 100 points for MeerKAT L-band (900-1200 MHz) and 10 points for MeerKAT UHF-band (580-1000 MHz). Next, we assess the performance of HI IM in constraining typical dark energy models. Interacting dark energy (IDE) scenario assumes that there exists a direct interaction between dark energy and cold dark matter, but this interaction is hard to be tightly constrained by the current data. Fast radio bursts (FRBs) will be seen in large numbers by future radio telescopes, and thus they have potential to become a promising low-redshift cosmological probe. In this work, we investigate the capability of future FRBs of constraining the dimensionless coupling parameter $\beta$ in four phenomenological IDE models. If we fix the FRB properties, about $10^5$ FRB data can give constraints on $\beta$ tighter than the current cosmic microwave background data in the IDE models with the interaction proportional to the energy density of dark energy. In all the IDE models, about $10^6$ FRB data can achieve the absolute errors of $\beta$ to less than $0.10$, providing a way to precisely measure $\beta$ by only one cosmological probe. Using the measurements of tidal deformations in the binary neutron star (BNS) coalescences can obtain the information of redshifts of gravitational wave (GW) sources, and thus actually the cosmic expansion history can be investigated by solely using such GW dark sirens. To do this, the key is to get large amounts of accurate GW data, which can be achieved by employing the third-generation (3G) GW detectors. In this paper, we wish to offer an answer to the question of whether the Hubble constant and the equation of state (EoS) of dark energy can be precisely measured by solely using GW dark sirens. We find that in the era of 3G GW detectors ${\cal O}(10^5)$-${\cal O}(10^6)$ dark siren data (with the tidal measurements) can be obtained in a several-year observation, and thus using only dark sirens can actually achieve the precision cosmology. Based on a network of 3G detectors, we obtain the constraint precisions of $0.1\%$ and $0.6\%$ for the Hubble constant $H_0$ and the constant EoS of dark energy $w$, respectively; for a two-parameter EoS parametrization of dark energy, the precision of $w_0$ is $1.4\%$ and the error of $w_a$ is 0.086. Fast radio bursts (FRBs) can be used to measure the Hubble constant by employing the Macquart relation. However, at present, only a small number of FRB events are localized to their host galaxies with known redshifts. In this paper, we develop a Bayesian method to statistically measure the Hubble constant using unlocalized FRBs and galaxy catalog data, which makes it possible to constrain cosmological parameters by using a large number of FRB data without known redshift information. Using the six FRB events observed by ASKAP combined with the big bang nucleosynthesis result, we obtain $H_0=71.7^{+8.8}_{-7.4}$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$ in the simulation-based case and $H_0=71.5^{+10.0}_{-8.1}$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$ in the observation-based case ($68\%$ highest-density interval), assuming different host galaxy population parameters. We also estimate that in the next few years, using thousands of FRBs could achieve a $3\%$ precision on the random error of the Hubble constant., Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures

Applying the distance sum rule in strong gravitational lensing (SGL) and type Ia supernova (SN Ia) observations, one can provide an interesting cosmological model-independent method to determine the cosmic curvature parameter $\Omega_k$. In this paper, with the newly compiled data sets including 161 galactic-scale SGL systems and 1048 SN Ia data, we place constraints on $\Omega_k$ within the framework of three types of lens models extensively used in SGL studies. Moreover, to investigate the effect of different mass lens samples on the results, we divide the SGL sample into three sub-samples based on the center velocity dispersion of intervening galaxies. In the singular isothermal sphere (SIS) and extended power-law lens models, a flat universe is supported with the uncertainty about 0.2, while a closed universe is preferred in the power-law lens model. We wish to investigate whether there is an extension to the base $��$CDM cosmology that can resolve the tension between the Planck observation of the cosmic microwave background anisotropies and the local measurement of the Hubble constant. We consider various plausible extended models in this work, and we use the Planck 2015 observation, combined with the baryon acoustic oscillation data, the JLA type Ia supernovae data, and the local measurement of the Hubble constant (by Riess et al. in 2016), to make an analysis. We find that the holographic dark energy plus sterile neutrino model can reduce the tension to be at the 1.11$��$ level, but this model is obviously not favored by the current observations. Among these extended models, the $��$CDM+$N_{\rm eff}$ model is most favored by the current observations, and this model can reduce the tension to be at the 1.87$��$ level. We investigate how the properties of dark energy affect the cosmological measurements of neutrino mass and extra relativistic degrees of freedom. We limit ourselves to the most basic extensions of $��$ cold dark matter (CDM) model, i.e. the $w$CDM model with one additional parameter $w$, and the $w_{0}w_{a}$CDM model with two additional parameters, $w_{0}$ and $w_{a}$. In the cosmological fits, we employ the 2015 cosmic microwave background temperature and polarization data from the Planck mission, in combination with low-redshift measurements such as the baryon acoustic oscillations, Type Ia supernovae and the Hubble constant ($H_{0}$). Given effects of massive neutrinos on large-scale structure, we further include weak lensing, redshift space distortion, Sunyaev--Zeldovich cluster counts and Planck lensing data. We show that, though the cosmological constant $��$ is still consistent with the current data, a phantom dark energy ($w-1$) is slightly more favoured by current observations, which leads to the fact that in both $w$CDM and $w_0w_a$CDM models we obtain a larger upper limit of $\sum m_��$. We also show that in the three dark energy models, the constraints on $N_{\rm eff}$ are in good accordance with each other, all in favour of the standard value 3.046, which indicates that the dark energy parameters almost have no impact on constraining $N_{\rm eff}$. Therefore, we conclude that the dark energy parameters can exert a significant influence on the cosmological weighing of neutrinos, but almost cannot affect the constraint on dark radiation., 12 pages, 11 figures; accepted by MNRAS; match the publication version

In order to investigate the function of submerged aquatic plants for recovery of water polluted by typical organic pollutants, and select potential plants for phytoremediation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons contaminated water, removal efficiencies of four submerged macrophytes to phenanthrene were investigated, following 40-day exposure to phenanthrene solutions in an outdoor-simulated experiment. During the exposure period, phenanthrene concentration in water, sediments and the roots of submerged macrophytes were observed. Results showed that Elodeacanadensi exhibited the highest concentrations in roots, while Ceratophyllum demersum contained the lowest among these four submerged macrophytes. The disparity of phenanthrene in roots would come from plant properties including the shape and surface area of both shoots and roots. These plants enhanced the remediation of phenanthrene in solution through plant-promoted sedimentation and biodegradation. Potamogetoncrispu and Elodeacanadensi showed the higher performance to remove phenanthrene due to plant-promoted biodegradation.

In this paper, we constrain the dimensionless Compton wavelength parameter $B_0$ of $f(R)$ gravity as well as the mass of sterile neutrino by using the cosmic microwave background observations, the baryon acoustic oscillation surveys, and the linear growth rate measurements. Since both the $f(R)$ model and the sterile neutrino generally predict scale-dependent growth rates, we utilize the growth rate data measured in different wavenumber bins with the theoretical growth rate approximatively scale-independent in each bin. The employed growth rate data come from the peculiar velocity measurements at $z=0$ in five wavenumber bins, and the redshift space distortions measurements at $z=0.25$ and $z=0.37$ in one wavenumber bin. The holographic $��(t)$CDM model in a non-flat universe is studied in this paper. In this model, to keep the form of the stress-energy of the vacuum required by general covariance, the holographic vacuum is enforced to exchange energy with dark matter. It is demonstrated that for the holographic model the best choice for the IR cutoff of the effective quantum field theory is the event horizon size of the universe. We derive the evolution equations of the holographic $��(t)$CDM model in a non-flat universe. We constrain the model by using the current observational data, including the 557 Union2 type Ia supernovae data, the cosmic microwave background anisotropy data from the 7-yr WMAP, and the baryon acoustic oscillation data from the SDSS. Our fit results show that the holographic $��(t)$CDM model tends to favor a spatially closed universe (the best-fit value of $��_{k0}$ is -0.042), and the 95% confidence level range for the spatial curvature is $-0.101, 8 pages, 4 figures. version for publication in EPJC. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1112.2350

The 21 cm intensity mapping (IM) technique provides us with an efficient way to observe the cosmic large-scale structure (LSS). From the LSS data, one can use the baryon acoustic oscillation and redshift space distortion to trace the expansion and growth history of the universe, and thus measure the dark energy parameters. In this paper, we make a forecast for cosmological parameter estimation with the synergy of three 21 cm IM experiments. Gravitational waves (GWs) from compact binary coalescences encode the absolute luminosity distances of GW sources. Once the redshifts of GW sources are known, one can use the distance-redshift relation to constrain cosmological parameters. One way to obtain the redshifts is to localize GW sources by GW observations and then use galaxy catalogs to determine redshifts from a statistical analysis of redshift information of the potential host galaxies, and such GW data are commonly referred to as dark sirens. The third-generation (3G) GW detectors are planned to work in the 2030s and will observe numerous compact binary coalescences. Using these GW events as dark sirens requires high-quality galaxy catalogs from future sky survey projects. The China Space Station Telescope (CSST) will be launched in 2024 and will observe billions of galaxies within a 17500 deg$^2$ survey area up to $z\sim 4$, providing photometric and spectroscopic galaxy catalogs. In this work, we simulate the CSST galaxy catalog and the 5-year GW data, and combine them to infer the Hubble constant ($H_0$). Our results show that the measurement precision of $H_0$ could reach better than $0.005\%$, which is an astonishing precision for the Hubble constant measurement. With the measurement of the electromagnetic (EM) counterpart, a gravitational wave (GW) event could be treated as a standard siren. As a novel cosmological probe, GW standard sirens will bring significant implications for cosmology. In this paper, by considering the coincident detections of GW and associated $\gamma$ ray burst (GRB), we find that only about 400 GW bright standard sirens from binary neutron star mergers could be detected in a 10-year observation of the Einstein Telescope and the THESEUS satellite mission. Based on this mock sample, we investigate the implications of GW standard sirens on the interaction between dark energy and dark matter. In our analysis, four viable interacting dark energy (IDE) models, with interaction forms $Q=3\beta H \rho_{\mathrm{de}}$ and $Q=3 \beta H \rho_{\mathrm{c}}$, are considered. Compared with the traditional EM observational data such as CMB, BAO, and SN Ia, the combination of both GW and EM observations could effectively break the degeneracies between different cosmological parameters and provide more stringent cosmological fits. We find that the GW data could play a more important role for determining the interaction in the models with $Q=3 \beta H \rho_{\mathrm{c}}$, compared with the models with $Q=3\beta H \rho_{\mathrm{de}}$. We also show that constraining IDE models with mock GW data based on different fiducial $H_0$ values yield different results, indicating that accurate determination of $H_0$ is significant for exploring the interaction between dark energy and dark matter., Comment: 17 pages, 5 figures
