Studying the insertion process of cochlear implant (CI) electrode array (EA) is important to ensure successful, sufficient, and safe implantation. A three-dimensional finite element (FE) model was developed to simulate the insertion process. The cochlear structures were reconstructed from an average statistical shape model (SSM) of human cochlea. The electrode is simplified as a long and tapered beam of homogeneous elastic materials, contacting and interacting with the stiff cochlear structures. A quasi-static insertion simulation was conducted, the insertion force and the contact pressure between the electrode and the cochlear wall, were calculated to evaluate the smoothness of insertion and the risk of potential cochlear trauma. Based on this model, different EA designs were analyzed, including the Young's modulus, the straight or bended shape, the normal or a more tapped section size. The influence of the insertion angle was also discussed. Our simulations indicate that reducing the EA Young's modulus, tapering and pre-bending are effective ways to ensure safe and successful EA implantation. This model is beneficial for optimizing EA designs and is potentially useful for designing patient-specific CI surgery.

Objective: Observational epidemiological studies have shown a link between obesity and sepsis, but any causal relationship is not clear. Our study aimed to explore the correlation and causal relationship between body mass index and sepsis by a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR).Methods: In large sample genome-wide association studies, single-nucleotide polymorphisms related to body mass index were screened as instrumental variables. Three MR methods, MR-Egger regression, weighted median estimator, and inverse variance-weighted, were used to evaluate the causal relationship between body mass index and sepsis. Odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were used as the evaluation index of causality, and sensitivity analyses were conducted to assess pleiotropy and instrument validity.Results: By two-sample MR, the inverse variance weighting method results suggested that increased body mass index was associated with an increased risk of sepsis (odds ratio 1.32; 95% CI 1.21–1.44; p = 1.37 × 10−9) and streptococcal septicemia (OR 1.46; 95% CI 1.11–1.91; p = 0.007), but there was no causal relationship with puerperal sepsis (OR, 1.06; 95% CI, 0.87–1.28; p = 0.577). Sensitivity analysis was consistent with the results, and there was no heterogeneity and level of pleiotropy.Conclusion: Our study supports a causal relationship between body mass index and sepsis. Proper control of body mass index may prevent sepsis.

Background Anaemia in pregnancy is one of the most frequent complications related to pregnancy and is a public health concern. This article examines the prevalence of anaemia in the third trimester of pregnancy and the associations between anaemia and adverse perinatal outcomes in Hebei Province, China. Methods We used SPSS software to describe the incidence of anaemia in the third trimester of pregnancy in Hebei Province and analysed the clinical characteristics in anaemic patients and the relationship between anaemia and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Results The overall prevalence of anaemia in the third trimester of pregnancy was 35.0% in Hebei Province. The prevalence of anaemia in the population with a high education level was lower than that in the population with a low education level. The incidence rate in rural areas was higher than that in urban areas. After adjustment for confounding factors, anaemia in the third trimester of pregnancy is an independent risk factor in terms of placenta previa, placental abruption, uterine atony, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes mellitus, heart disease, postpartum haemorrhage, premature birth, laceration of birth canal, puerperal infection, caesarean section and large for gestational age. Conclusions The prevalence of anaemia in the third trimester of pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of adverse perinatal outcomes. A comprehensive approach to prevent anaemia is needed to improve maternal and child health outcomes.

Objective To explore the effect of the 2016 Chinese second child policy and different maternal ages on adverse perinatal outcomes. Methods Clinical data were collected from 22 monitoring hospitals in Hebei Province from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2021. A total of 413,892 parturient were divided into 3 groups based on delivery age: 20–34, 35–39, and 40–55 years old. The clinical data were analyzed to explore the relationship among the 2016 Chinese second-child policy, maternal age, and various pregnancy risks. Results Pregnancy complications showed an upward trend from 2013 to 2021.The top 10 incidences of pregnancy complications in Hebei Province were anemia, small for gestational age (SGA), large for gestational age (LGA), macrosomia, gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), premature delivery, preeclampsia (PE), postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), placenta previa, and placental abruption. The two-child policy was implemented in 2016. The incidence of pregnancy complications, anemia, GDM, PE, placental abruption, cesarean delivery, premature delivery, SGA, LGA, macrosomia in 2016–2021 was significantly higher than that in 2013–2015 (P Conclusion After the adjustment of the “second-child” policy, the incidence of pregnancy complications increased. Moreover, the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes in AMA has increased. Early prevention and intervention should be implemented to cope with the occurrence of adverse perinatal outcomes.

BackgroundThis study aimed to compare the consistency of anesthesia consciousness index (Ai) with that of bispectral index (BIS) in monitoring the depth of anesthesia (DOA) during sevoflurane anesthesia, to reveal the optimal cutoff values in different states of consciousness, and explore the stability of DOA monitoring during intraoperative injurious stimulation.MethodsWe enrolled 145 patients (97 men and 48 women) from 10 medical centers. General anesthesia was induced using intravenous anesthetics and maintained with sevoflurane. Ai and BIS values were recorded.ResultsThe mean difference between the Ai and BIS was-0.1747 (95% confidence interval, −0.6660 to 0.3166; p = 0.4857). The regression equation of Ai and BIS from the Deming regression analysis was y = 5.6387 + 0.9067x (y is BIS, x is Ai), and the slope and intercept were statistically significant. Meanwhile, the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis of anesthesia-induced unconsciousness, loss of consciousness, and recovery of consciousness revealed that the accuracy of Ai and BIS were similar. In addition, the optimal cutoff values of the different states of consciousness were not sensitive to age, and both Ai and BIS had no correlation with hemodynamics.ConclusionWe conclude that Ai and BIS show no systematic deviation in readings with high consistency, similar accuracy, and good stability; these insights provide more data for clinical application.

Janus kinase/signal transduction and transcription activation (JAK/STAT) pathways were originally thought to be intracellular signaling pathways that mediate cytokine signals in mammals. Existing studies show that the JAK/STAT pathway regulates the downstream signaling of numerous membrane proteins such as such as G-protein-associated receptors, integrins and so on. Mounting evidence shows that the JAK/STAT pathways play an important role in human disease pathology and pharmacological mechanism. The JAK/STAT pathways are related to aspects of all aspects of the immune system function, such as fighting infection, maintaining immune tolerance, strengthening barrier function, and cancer prevention, which are all important factors involved in immune response. In addition, the JAK/STAT pathways play an important role in extracellular mechanistic signaling and might be an important mediator of mechanistic signals that influence disease progression, immune environment. Therefore, it is important to understand the mechanism of the JAK/STAT pathways, which provides ideas for us to design more drugs targeting diseases based on the JAK/STAT pathway. In this review, we discuss the role of the JAK/STAT pathway in mechanistic signaling, disease progression, immune environment, and therapeutic targets.

The Rhodopseudomonas palustris (R. palustris) PSB06 can promote crop growth, as it maybe regulates microbial communities in plant root soil, soil physicochemical properties, thus creating a favorable habitat for the crop growth. However, there are few studies on the yields and rhizosphere microbial community of R. palustris PSB06 agent. In the study, the high-throughput sequencing was used to study the changes of rhizosphere soil bacterial community after PSB06 treatment. The results indicated R. palustris PSB06 agent increased the pepper yield by 33.45% when compared to control group, with better effect than other treatments. And it also significantly increased soil nitrogen concentration. R. palustris PSB06 agent had improved pepper rhizosphere bacterial α diversity and changed the community structure. Acidobacteria, Proteobacteria, Actinomycetes and Firmicutes were dominant phyla in all the pepper rhizosphere soil samples. The results showed that soil bacterial community were significantly positively correlated with pH (R = 0.8537, P = 0.001) and total nitrogen (R = 0.4347, P = 0.003). The nine significantly enriched OTU in R.palustris PSB06 treatment (PB) group belong to Nitrososphaera (OTU_109, OTU_14, OTU_18, OTU_8), Lysobacter (OTU_2115, OTU_13), Arenimonas (OTU_26), Luteimonas (OTU_49), and Ramlibacter (OTU_70) were significantly positively correlated with the total yield of pepper (R > 0.5, P < 0.05). Overall, our results provide a theoretical basis for studying the microbial regulation of R.palustris PSB06 on rhizosphere soil.

We calculate the soft function using lattice QCD in the framework of large momentum effective theory incorporating the one-loop perturbative contributions. The soft function is a crucial ingredient in the lattice determination of light cone objects using transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) factorization. It consists of a rapidity-independent part called intrinsic soft function and a rapidity-dependent part called Collins-Soper kernel. We have adopted appropriate normalization when constructing the pseudo-scalar meson form factor that is needed in the determination of the intrinsic part and applied Fierz rearrangement to suppress the higher-twist effects. In the calculation of CS kernel we consider a CLS ensemble other than the MILC ensemble used in a previous study. We have also compared the applicability of determining the CS kernel using quasi TMDWFs and quasi TMDPDFs. We present a first lattice QCD calculation of the transverse-momentum-dependent wave functions (TMDWFs) of the pion using large-momentum effective theory. Numerical simulations are based on one ensemble with 2+1+1 flavors of highly improved staggered quarks action with lattice spacing $a=0.121$~fm from the MILC Collaboration, and one with 2 +1 flavor clover fermions and tree-level Symanzik gauge action generated by the CLS Collaboration with $a=0.098$~fm. As a key ingredient, the soft function is first obtained by incorporating the one-loop perturbative contributions and a proper normalization. Based on this and the equal-time quasi-TMDWFs simulated on the lattice, we extract the light-cone TMDWFs. The results are comparable between the two lattice ensembles and a comparison with phenomenological parametrization is made. Our studies provide a first attempt of $ab$ $initio$ calculation of TMDWFs which will eventually lead to crucial theory inputs for making predictions for exclusive processes under QCD factorization.

In this paper, we propose a safety-critical controller based on time-varying control barrier functions (CBFs) for a robot with an unicycle model in the continuous-time domain to achieve navigation and dynamic collision avoidance. Unlike previous works, our proposed approach can control both linear and angular velocity to avoid collision with obstacles, overcoming the limitation of confined control performance due to the lack of control variable. To ensure that the robot reaches its destination, we also design a control Lyapunov function (CLF). Our safety-critical controller is formulated as a quadratic program (QP) optimization problem that incorporates CLF and CBFs as constraints, enabling real-time application for navigation and dynamic collision avoidance. Momentum distributions of quarks/gluons inside a light baryon in a hard exclusive process are encoded in the light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs). In this work, we point out that the leading twist LCDAs of a light baryon can be obtained through a simulation of a quasi-distribution amplitude calculable on lattice QCD within the framework of the large-momentum effective theory. We calculate the one-loop perturbative contributions to LCDA and quasi-distribution amplitudes and explicitly demonstrate the factorization of quasi-distribution amplitudes at the one-loop level. Based on the perturbative results, we derive the matching kernel in the $\overline{\rm MS}$ scheme and regularization-invariant momentum-subtraction scheme. In this paper, we focus on non-conservative obstacle avoidance between robots with control affine dynamics with strictly convex and polytopic shapes. The core challenge for this obstacle avoidance problem is that the minimum distance between strictly convex regions or polytopes is generally implicit and non-smooth, such that distance constraints cannot be enforced directly in the optimization problem. To handle this challenge, we employ non-smooth control barrier functions to reformulate the avoidance problem in the dual space, with the positivity of the minimum distance between robots equivalently expressed using a quadratic program. Our approach is proven to guarantee system safety. We theoretically analyze the smoothness properties of the minimum distance quadratic program and its KKT conditions. We validate our approach by demonstrating computationally-efficient obstacle avoidance for multi-agent robotic systems with strictly convex and polytopic shapes. Ensuring the reliability and availability of cloud services necessitates efficient root cause analysis (RCA) for cloud incidents. Traditional RCA methods, which rely on manual investigations of data sources such as logs and traces, are often laborious, error-prone, and challenging for on-call engineers. In this paper, we introduce RCACopilot, an innovative On-call system empowered by the Large Language Model for automating RCA of cloud incidents. RCACopilot matches incoming incidents to corresponding handlers based on their alert types, aggregates the critical runtime diagnostic information, predicts the incident's root cause category, and provides an explanatory narrative. We evaluate RCACopilot using a real-world dataset consisting of a year's worth of incidents from serviceX in companyX. Our evaluation demonstrates that RCACopilot achieves RCA accuracy up to 0.766. Furthermore, the diagnostic information collection component of RCACopilot has been successfully in use at companyX for over four years.

The high quility has become an important goal of wheat breeding. Several super-strong gluten wheat varieties, e.g. ‘Xinmai 26’ and ‘Xinmai 45’, have been bred to meet consumer market. However, the genetic composition, transmission frequency and genetic contribution of them and their progeny are not clear. To analyze the genetic composition of the high-quality strong gluten wheat varieties ‘Xinmai 26’ and ‘Xinmai 45’, the genetic contribution rates of male and female parents to the varieties were analyzed using 6056 SNP markers detected by a widely used high-throughput wheat array (15K chip). Additionally, the chromosome polymorphisms of five related wheat varieties were determined by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using four oligonucleotide probe sets. The results showed that the genetic contribution rate of ‘Jinan 17’ against ‘Xinmai 26’ was 55.97%, much higher than the 15.81% of ‘Xinmai 18’. ‘Jimai 20’ showed a genetic contribution rate of 57.53% against ‘Xinmai 45’, which was slightly higher than that of ‘Xinmai 26’ at 40.21%. The specific fragment differences from male and female parents were identified in both breeding varieties, and ‘Xinmai 26’ had more specific fragments that differed from male and female parents than ‘Xinmai 45’. The chromosomes of group A and group B of the five varieties were significantly polymorphic, but no chromosomes translocations or inversions were found. The promising results would be helpful to explore the genetic pattern of high-quality varieties, promote breeding efficiency, and utilize the superior traits of backbone parents for wheat quality improvement.

In the recent decades, obesity rates among children and adolescents, especially males, have increased significantly. This worldwide phenomenon is thought to significantly affect the levels of sex hormones. However, the association between waist circumference (a marker of abdominal obesity) and sex hormone levels in children and adolescents is unknown. In this study, 4031 participants aged 6-19 years from the United States National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) in the USA were enrolled in this study. The common confounders of age, race, body mass index, educational level, family income, diabetes, and time of sample collection were also collected. The participants missing any of the above information were excluded from the study. EUS has recently gained attraction in mainland China. This study aimed to evaluate the development of EUS from results of two national surveys.EUS-related information, including infrastructure, personnel, volume, and quality indicator, was extracted from the Chinese Digestive Endoscopy Census. Data from 2012 and 2019 were compared, and differences among various hospitals and regions were analyzed. The EUS rates (EUS annual volume per 100,000 inhabitants) between China and developed countries were also compared.The number of hospitals performing EUS in mainland China increased from 531 to 1236 (2.33-fold), and 4025 endoscopists performed EUS in 2019. The volumes of all EUS and interventional EUS increased from 207,166 to 464,182 (2.24-fold) and 10,737 to 15,334 (1.43-fold), respectively. The EUS rate in China was lower than that in developed countries but showed a higher growth rate. EUS rate varied substantially among different provincial regions (in 2019: 4.9-152.0 per 100,000 inhabitants) and showed significant positive association with gross domestic product per capita (in 2019: r = 0.559, P = 0.001). The EUS-FNA-positive rate in 2019 was comparable between hospitals in terms of annual volume (≥50 or50: 79.9% vs. 71.6%, P = 0.704) and practice duration (starting EUS-FNA before or after 2012: 78.7% vs. 72.6%, P = 0.565).EUS has developed considerably in China in recent years but still needs substantial improvement. More resources are in demand for hospitals in less-developed regions and with low EUS volume.

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most malignant cancers and is estimated to be fifth in incidence ratio and the third leading cause of cancer death worldwide. Despite advances in GC treatment, poor prognosis and low survival rate necessitate the development of novel treatment options. Fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs) have been suggested to be potential targets for GC treatment. In this study, we report a novel selective FGFR inhibitor, RK-019, with a pyrido [1, 2-a] pyrimidinone skeleton. In vitro, RK-019 showed excellent FGFR1-4 inhibitory activities and strong anti-proliferative effects against FGFR2-amplification (FGFR2-amp) GC cells, including SNU-16 and KATO III cells. Treatment with RK-019 suppressed phosphorylation of FGFR and its downstream pathway proteins, such as FRS2, PLCγ, AKT, and Erk, resulting in cell cycle arrest and induction of apoptosis. Furthermore, daily oral administration of RK-019 could attenuate tumor xenograft growth with no adverse effects. Here, we reported a novel specific FGFR inhibitor, RK-019, with potent anti-FGFR2-amp GC activity both in vitro and in vivo.

ObjectiveWe aimed to investigate the secular prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and evaluate its adverse pregnancy outcomes among pregnant women in Hebei province, China.MethodsWe analyzed the data from the monitoring information management system for pregnant women in 22 hospitals of Hebei province, China. In this study, 366,212 individuals with singleton live births from 2014 to 2021 were included, of whom 25,995 were diagnosed with gestational diabetes. We described the incidence of common complications and further analyzed the clinical characteristics in GDM patients and the relationship between GDM and adverse pregnancy outcomes.ResultsThe top 3 pregnancy complications in Hebei province are anemia, gestational hypertension, and GDM. The average incidence of GDM was 7.10% (25,995/366,212). The incidence rate of GDM significantly increased from 2014 to 2021 (χ2trend = 7,140.663, P < 0.001). The top 3 regions with GDM incidence were Baoding (16.60%), Shijiazhuang (8.00%), and Tangshan (3.80%). The incidence of GDM in urban pregnant women (10.6%) is higher than that in rural areas (3.7%).The difference between the GDM and Non-GDM groups was statistically significant in terms of maternal age, gravidity, parity, education level, and incidence of pregnancy complications (gestational hypertension, heart diseases, and anemia) (P < 0.05). GDM individuals were at significantly increased risk of most assessed adverse pregnancy outcomes, including premature delivery, Cesarean delivery, uterine inertia, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admission, Apgar (activity-pulse-grimace-appearance-respiration) score at 1 min, and macrosomia (P < 0.05). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that GDM was an independent risk factor in terms of premature birth, Cesarean delivery, uterine inertia, placental abruption, NICU admission, and macrosomia.ConclusionThe risk of adverse pregnancy outcome in pregnant women with GDM is significantly increased. In order to reduce the occurrence of adverse pregnancy outcomes, effective interventions are needed.

The effects of build direction on the tensile properties, tension–tension low cycle fatigue behavior, and failure mechanism of polyamide 12 parts fabricated by Multi Jet Fusion have been investigated by addressing the roles of formed voids, sintering interfaces, and geometrical imperfections. Results indicate that the Young's modulus of bulk material with vertical build direction is higher than that of bulk material with horizontal build direction due to the carbon black enhanced sintering interfaces. The tensile strength of the printed bulk material with horizontal and vertical build directions is comparable. It is found that the anisotropic tension–tension low cycle fatigue behavior for the bulk material is significant, while that for the re-entrant lattice structure is weak. The anisotropic fatigue strength of bulk material is derived from the anisotropic distribution of internal voids and sintering interfaces. The fatigue behavior of the re-entrant lattice structure is determined by the geometrical imperfections. The coalescence of the large voids or clusters of voids contributes to the crack initiation and propagation processes that lead to the failure of the bulk material. While the failure of re-entrant lattice structure is mainly determined by the intersection of strut junction rather than the void defect. This result provides the fatigue data that can be used for the structural design with Multi Jet Fusion polyamide 12 as well as reveals the effects of voids, sintering interfaces, and geometrical imperfections on the fatigue behavior of the printed parts. Therapeutic tumor vaccines have become an important breakthrough in the treatment of various solid tumors including lung cancer. Dendritic cells (DCs)-based tumor vaccines targeting tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) play a key role in immunotherapy and immunoprevention. However, the weak immunogenicity of TAAs and low immune response rates are a major challenge faced in the application of therapeutic tumor vaccines. Here, we tested whether targeting an attractive target Mesothelin (MSLN) and PD-L1 immune checkpoint molecule to DCs in vivo would elicit therapeutic antitumor cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response. We generated specific MSLN fragment combined with PD-L1 and GM-CSF peptide immunogen (MSLN-PDL1-GMCSF) based on the novel anti-PD-L1 vaccination strategy we recently developed for the cancer treatment and prevention. We found that DCs loaded with MSLN-PDL1-GMCSF vaccine elicited much stronger endogenous anti-PD-L1 antibody and T cell responses in immunized mice and that antigen specific CTLs had cytolytic activities against tumor cells expressing both MSLN and PD-L1. We demonstrated that vaccination with MSLN-PDL1-GMCSF potently inhibited the tumor growth of MSLN+ and PD-L1+ lung cancer cells, exhibiting a significant therapeutic anti-tumor potential. Furthermore, PD-1 blockade further improved the synergistic antitumor therapeutic efficacy of MSLN-PDL1-GMCSF vaccine in immunized mice. In summary, our data demonstrated for the first time that this PD-L1-containing MSLN therapeutic vaccine can induce persistent anti-PD-L1 antibody and CTL responses, providing an effective immunotherapeutic strategy for lung cancer immunotherapy by combining MSLN-PDL1-GMCSF vaccine and PD-1 blockade.

Background: Microfluidic channels have been widely applied in biomedicine and microelectronics. However, the manufacturing methods of microfluidic channel devices, such as photolithography, three-dimensional printing and Melt-electrospinning direct writing (MEDW), have the problem of high cost and complex process, which still can't reach a sub-micron scale stably. Method: To improve the resolution of microfluidic channels, we developed a simple and flexible method to fabricate polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) submicrofluidic channels. It depends on the following steps: (1) Direct Writing Polyethylene oxide (PEO) nanofiber by Near-field Electrospinning (NFES). (2) Packaging the nanofiber with PDMS. (3) Obtaining the PDMS submicrofluidic channel by inverted mode of PEO nanofiber. Results: According to the result of the experiment, nanofiber can be stably prepared under the following conditions, the electrode-to-collector distance of 3.0 mm, the voltage of 1.7 KV, the collector moving speed of 80mm/s and the mixed solutions of ethanol and deionized water (1:1). Finally, the PDMS submicrofluidic channel was manufactured by NFES and PDMS molding technique, and the diameter of the channel was 0.84±0.08 μm. Conclusion: The result verified the rationality of that method. In addition, the method can be easily integrated with high resolution channels for various usages, such as microelectronics, micro electro mechanical systems, and biomedical.

Distantly-Supervised Named Entity Recognition (DS-NER) effectively alleviates the data scarcity problem in NER by automatically generating training samples. Unfortunately, the distant supervision may induce noisy labels, thus undermining the robustness of the learned models and restricting the practical application. To relieve this problem, recent works adopt self-training teacher-student frameworks to gradually refine the training labels and improve the generalization ability of NER models. However, we argue that the performance of the current self-training frameworks for DS-NER is severely underestimated by their plain designs, including both inadequate student learning and coarse-grained teacher updating. Therefore, in this paper, we make the first attempt to alleviate these issues by proposing: (1) adaptive teacher learning comprised of joint training of two teacher-student networks and considering both consistent and inconsistent predictions between two teachers, thus promoting comprehensive student learning. (2) fine-grained student ensemble that updates each fragment of the teacher model with a temporal moving average of the corresponding fragment of the student, which enhances consistent predictions on each model fragment against noise. To verify the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conduct experiments on four DS-NER datasets. A set of novel diarylpyridines as anti-tubulin agents were designed, synthesised using a rigid pyridine as a linker to fix the cis-orientation of ring-A and ring-B. All of the target compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antiproliferative activities. Among them, 10t showed remarkable antiproliferative activities against three cancer cell lines (HeLa, MCF-7 and SGC-7901) in sub-micromolar concentrations. Consistent with its potent antiproliferative activity, 10t also displayed potent anti-tubulin activity. Cellular mechanism investigation elucidated 10t disrupted the cellular microtubule structure, arrested cell cycle at G2/M phase and induces apoptosis. Molecular modelling studies showed that 10t could bind to the colchicine binding site on microtubules. These results provide motivation and further guidance for the development of new CA-4 analogues.

This paper presents a safety-critical locomotion control framework for quadrupedal robots. Our goal is to enable quadrupedal robots to safely navigate in cluttered environments. To tackle this, we introduce exponential Discrete Control Barrier Functions (exponential DCBFs) with duality-based obstacle avoidance constraints into a Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC) with Whole-Body Control (WBC) framework for quadrupedal locomotion control. This enables us to use polytopes to describe the shapes of the robot and obstacles for collision avoidance while doing locomotion control of quadrupedal robots. Compared to most prior work, especially using CBFs, that utilize spherical and conservative approximation for obstacle avoidance, this work demonstrates a quadrupedal robot autonomously and safely navigating through very tight spaces in the real world. Safety is one of the fundamental problems in robotics. Recently, one-step or multi-step optimal control problems for discrete-time nonlinear dynamical system were formulated to offer tracking stability using control Lyapunov functions (CLFs) while subject to input constraints as well as safety-critical constraints using control barrier functions (CBFs). The limitations of these existing approaches are mainly about feasibility and safety. In the existing approaches, the feasibility of the optimization and the system safety cannot be enhanced at the same time theoretically. In this paper, we propose two formulations that unifies CLFs and CBFs under the framework of nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC). In the proposed formulations, safety criteria is commonly formulated as CBF constraints and stability performance is ensured with either a terminal cost function or CLF constraints. Slack variables with relaxing technique are introduced on the CBF constraints to resolve the tradeoff between feasibility and safety so that they can be enhanced at the same. Samples of 77 Kr were produced by (n, 2n) reaction with a DT accelerator, the decay of 77 Kr has been tracked by the reference source method with three High-Purity Germanium (HPGe) detectors. Experimental data were recorded at regular time intervals during measurements covering more than 600 min. The determined half-life of 77 Kr is 71.25 (42) min, which indicated that the most recent values reported in the 1970s and the value recommended by Evaluated Nuclear Structure Data File (ENSDF) may be biased.

Background Patients receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy have a high risk developing to an acute chemoradiotherapy-induced diarrhea (RID). The clinical efficacy of octreotide in controlling chemoradiotherapy-induced diarrhea remains controversial. We performed a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to evaluate the efficacy of octreotide for treatment the chemoradiotherapy-induced diarrhoea. Methods Relevant RCTs studies assessing the effect of octreotide on clinical outcomes compared with placebo were searched in Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science (up to December 2018). Heterogeneity was assessed with I2, and publication bias was evaluated using sensitive analysis. Results Eight trials, a total of 594 participants. Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) is a rare autosomal dominant genetic disease related to germline mutations of the APC gene. The clinical features of this disease most commonly include hundreds of adenomas or polyps. If not treated in a timely fashion, FAP can eventually result in colorectal carcinoma. In this report, clinical manifestations, family history, relevant auxiliary examinations and gene detection from patient blood led us to discover a novel frameshift mutation in exon 12 of the APC gene. The deletion of adenine in c.1439 resulted in the formation of codon 480. The occurrence of this frameshift deletion may lead to inexpressibility of the main functional regions in APC and may affect gene function. In addition, colonoscopy and histopathology showed malignant changes in the colon and rectum. There have been no reports of this frameshift mutation, but it can be considered in case of APC mutations and FAP in patients with clinical manifestations; auxiliary examination may be related, and it may be used as a reference for preventive clinical treatment in the future.

In this work, a novel flexible electrically resistive-type MXene/Thermoplastic polyurethanes(TPU) based strain sensors was developed by a composite process of electrospinning (ES) and electrostatic spray deposition (ESD). Compared with other deposition processes, the sensing layer prepared by ESD has better adhesion to the ES TPU nanofiber membrane and is not easy to crack during the stretching process, thereby greatly improving the working range of the strain sensor. Furthermore, we obtained the sandwich structure easily by ES on the surface of the sensing layer again. This will help make the stress distribution more uniform during the stretching process and further increase the strain sensing range. The ESD-ES strain sensors were attached on skin to monitor various human motions. The results demonstrate that our ESD-ES strain sensors have wide application prospects in smart wearable device.

Cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated and diverse, making detection increasingly challenging. To combat these attacks, security practitioners actively summarize and exchange their knowledge about attacks across organizations in the form of cyber threat intelligence (CTI) reports. However, as CTI reports written in natural language texts are not structured for automatic analysis, the report usage requires tedious manual efforts of cyber threat intelligence recovery. Additionally, individual reports typically cover only a limited aspect of attack patterns (techniques) and thus are insufficient to provide a comprehensive view of attacks with multiple variants. To take advantage of threat intelligence delivered by CTI reports, we propose AttacKG to automatically extract structured attack behavior graphs from CTI reports and identify the adopted attack techniques. We then aggregate cyber threat intelligence across reports to collect different aspects of techniques and enhance attack behavior graphs into technique knowledge graphs (TKGs). In our evaluation against 1,515 real-world CTI reports from diverse intelligence sources, AttacKG effectively identifies 28,262 attack techniques with 8,393 unique Indicators of Compromises (IoCs). To further verify the accuracy of AttacKG in extracting threat intelligence, we run AttacKG on 16 manually labeled CTI reports. Empirical results show that AttacKG accurately identifies attack-relevant entities, dependencies, and techniques with F1-scores of 0.887, 0.896, and 0.789, which outperforms the state-of-the-art approaches Extractor and TTPDrill. Moreover, the unique technique-level intelligence will directly benefit downstream security tasks that rely on technique specifications, e.g., APT detection and cyber attack reconstruction.

Limited flight distance and time is a common problem for multicopters. We propose a method for finding the optimal speed and sideslip angle of a multicopter flying a given path to achieve either the longest flight distance or time. Since flight speed and sideslip are often free variables in multicopter path planning, they can be changed without changing the mission. The proposed method is based on a novel multivariable extremum seeking controller with adaptive step size, which is inspired by recent work from the machine learning community on stochastic optimization. Our method (a) does not require a power consumption model of the vehicle, (b) is computationally efficient and runs on low-cost embedded computers in real-time, and (c) converges faster than the standard extremum seeking controller with constant step size. We prove the stability of this approach and validate it through outdoor experiments. The method is shown to converge with different payloads and in the presence of wind. Compared to flying at the maximum achievable speed in the experiments with a uniformly selected random sideslip angle, flying at the optimal range speed and sideslip on average increases the flight range by 14.3% without payload and 19.4% with a box payload. In addition, compared to hovering, flying at the optimal endurance speed and sideslip increases the flight time by 7.5% without payload and 14.4% with a box payload. In the paper, we analyze the properties of Gross-Llewellyn Smith (GLS) sum rule by using the $\mathcal{O}(��_s^4)$-order QCD corrections with the help of principle of maximum conformality (PMC). By using the PMC single-scale approach, we obtain an accurate renormalization scale-and-scheme independent fixed-order pQCD contribution for GLS sum rule, e.g. $S^{\rm GLS}(Q_0^2=3{\rm GeV}^2)|_{\rm PMC}=2.559^{+0.023}_{-0.024}$, where the error is squared average of those from $����_s(M_Z)$, the predicted $\mathcal{O}(��_s^5)$-order terms predicted by using the Pad�� approximation approach. After applying the PMC, a more convergent pQCD series has been obtained, and the contributions from the unknown higher-order terms are highly suppressed. In combination with the nonperturbative high-twist contribution, our final prediction of GLS sum rule agrees well with the experimental data given by the CCFR collaboration., 6 pages, 5 figures

Developing controllers for obstacle avoidance between polytopes is a challenging and necessary problem for navigation in tight spaces. Traditional approaches can only formulate the obstacle avoidance problem as an offline optimization problem. To address these challenges, we propose a duality-based safety-critical optimal control using nonsmooth control barrier functions for obstacle avoidance between polytopes, which can be solved in real-time with a QP-based optimization problem. A dual optimization problem is introduced to represent the minimum distance between polytopes and the Lagrangian function for the dual form is applied to construct a control barrier function. We validate the obstacle avoidance with the proposed dual formulation for L-shaped (sofa-shaped) controlled robot in a corridor environment. To compare two ELISA methods for the detection of the prostatic exosomal protein (PSEP) in the urine.Using the double-antibody sandwich (DAS) method and the indirect method of ELISA, we detected PSEP in the urine samples from 100 IIIA chronic prostatitis (CP) patients and another 100 normal healthy males. Meanwhile, we examined 30 clinical urine samples using the diluent (0.1 mol/L PBS buffer) and the urine matrix standard curves to verify the consistency of the standard diluent with the sample collected. Result: The sensitivities of DAS and indirect ELISA were 89% versus 87% and their specificities 91% versus 90%, with total consistency rates of 90% versus 88.5%, with no statistically significant difference in between. The scatter plot for the results of the PBS diluent and the urine matrix standard curves showed a good linearity (R2 = 0.999). No significant difference was found in the results of detection of the clinical urine samples in different matrices.Considering the characteristics of PSEP, the indirect ELISA method is more practical and feasible for the clinical detection of PSEP in the urine samples of prostatitis patients.

Colon cancer (CC) currently ranks as the third most common human cancer worldwide with an increasing incidence and a poor prognosis. Recently, circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been reported to regulate the progression of diverse human cancers. However, the role of circRNA hsa_circ_0020095 in CC remains largely unclear. In the present study, we demonstrated that circ_0020095 was highly expressed in CC tissues and cells. The proliferation, migration, invasion and cisplatin resistance of CC were suppressed by silencing circ_0020095 in vitro and in vivo or by ectopic expression of miR-487a-3p in vitro. Mechanistically, circ_0020095 could directly bind to miR-487a-3p and subsequently act as a miR-487a-3p sponge to modulate the activity by targeting the 3’-UTR of SOX9. Interestingly, overexpression of circ_0020095 dramatically reversed the suppressive effects of miR-487a-3p mimics on CC cells. In conclusion, circ_0020095 functions as an oncogene to accelerate CC cell proliferation, invasion, migration and cisplatin resistance through the miR-487a-3p/SOX9/C-Met axis, which could be a promising target for CC treatment. In the paper, we study the properties of the top-quark $\overline{\rm MS}$ running mass computed from its on-shell mass by using both the four-loop $\overline{\rm MS}$-on-shell relation and the principle of maximum conformality (PMC) scale-setting approach. The PMC adopts the renormalization group equation to set the correct magnitude of the strong running coupling of the perturbative series, its prediction avoids the conventional renormalization scale ambiguity, and thus a more precise pQCD prediction can be achieved. After applying the PMC to the four-loop $\overline{\rm MS}$-on-shell relation and taking the top-quark on-shell mass $M_t=172.9\pm0.4$ GeV as an input, we obtain the renormalization scale-invariant $\overline{\rm MS}$ running mass at the scale $m_t$, e.g., $m_t(m_t)\simeq 162.6\pm 0.4$ GeV, in which the error is the squared average of those from $\Delta \alpha_s(M_Z)$, $\Delta M_t$, and the approximate error from the uncalculated five-loop terms predicted by using the Pad\'{e} approximation approach., Comment: 8 pages, 2 figures
