Solid-state fans (SSFs) have distinct advantages over traditional cooling fans in the thermal management of high-power electronics. In this work, a magnetic-field-enhanced SSF is proposed, and the physical model of negative corona discharge superimposed by an electromagnetic field is established. A computational model is used to calculate and analyze the effect of the magnetic field on the ionic wind distribution. The magnetic flux density and permanent magnet position distribution in the SSF are optimized experimentally, and the optimized SSF is applied to LED chip cooling. The findings show that adding a magnetic field encourages electrons to collide with neutral gas molecules and enhances the driving force of charged particles. The ionic wind velocity and mean driving force at the SSF's outlet will grow as magnetic flux density rises, and the ionic wind flow distribution will show apparent divergence. When the permanent magnet spacing is 15 mm, the highest ionic wind velocity is 2.82 m/s, and the mean driving force of SSF increases by 30.2%. The magnetic-field-enhanced SSF has a better LED-chip cooling effect, the maximum junction temperature drop is 11.6°C, and the cooling efficiency is higher. This research introduces a novel way of improving the cooling of electronics.

A water and pH stable CdII-based MOF can be used as a good sensor for Hg2+ ions in aqueous solution. Intriguingly, LED lamps, test papers and luminescent films have been successfully developed to simply detect Hg2+ ions.

The immunologic effects of chemotherapy-induced tumor cell death are not completely understood. Accumulating evidence suggests that phagocytic clearance of apoptotic tumor cells, also known as efferocytosis, is an immunologically silent process, thus maintaining an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). Here we report that, in the breast tumor microenvironment, thymosin α-1 (Tα-1) significantly reverses M2 polarization of IL10-producing tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) during efferocytosis induced by apoptotic cells. Mechanistically, Tα-1, which bound to phosphatidylserine on the surface of apoptotic tumor cells and was internalized by macrophages, triggered the activation of SH2-containing inositol 5′-phosphatase 1 (SHIP1) through the lysosomal Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7)/MyD88 pathway, subsequently resulting in dephosphorylation of efferocytosis-activated TBK1 and reduction of efferocytosis-induced IL10. Tα-1 combined with epirubicin chemotherapy markedly suppressed tumor growth in an in vivo breast cancer model by reducing macrophage-derived IL10 and enhancing the number and function of tumor-infiltrating CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. In conclusion, Tα-1 improved the curative effect of chemotherapy by reversing M2 polarization of efferocytosis-activated macrophages, suggesting that Tα-1 injection immediately after chemotherapy may contribute to highly synergistic antitumor effects in patients with breast cancer. Significance: Thymosin α-1 improves the curative effect of chemotherapy by reversing efferocytosis-induced M2 polarization of macrophages via activation of a TLR7/SHIP1 axis.

A novel water-stable Cd

To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Qishe Pill (芪麝丸) on neck pain in real-world clinical practice. A multi-center, prospective, observational surveillance in 8 hospitals across Shanghai was conducted. During patients receiving 4-week Qishe Pill medication, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Neck Disability Index (NDI) assessments have been used to assess their pain and function, while safety monitoring have been observed after 2 and 4 weeks. Results from 2,023 patients (mean age 54.5 years) suggest that the drug exposure per unit of body mass was estimated at 3.41 ± 0.62 g/kg. About 8.5% (172/2,023) of all participants experienced adverse events (AEs), while 3.8% (78/2,023) of all participants experienced adverse reaction. The most common AEs were gastrointestinal events and respiratory events. The VAS score (pain) and NDI score (function) significantly decreased after 4-week treatment. An effect-quantitative analysis was also conducted to show that the normal clinical dosage may be consider as 3–4 g/kg, at which dosage the satisfactory pain-relief effect may achieve by 40-mm reduction in VAS. These findings showed that patients with cervical radiculopathy who received Qishe Pill experienced significant improvement on pain and function. (Registration No. NCT01875562)

This study aimed to explore the effect of Gegen Qinlian Decoction(GQD) on the methylation and mRNA expression level of stearoyl CoA desaturase(SCD) gene in the adipose tissue of rats with insulin resistance(IR) induced by high-fat diet as well as the correlations between methylation and physiological and biochemical indicators. The animals were divided into seven groups, namely, blank control(C) group, IR model group, low-(1.65 g·kg~(-1)), medium-(4.95 g·kg~(-1)), and high(14.85 g·kg~(-1))-dose GQD(GQDL, GQDM, and GQDH) groups, rosiglitazone(RGN, 5 mg·kg~(-1)) group, and simvastatin(SVT, 10 mg·kg~(-1)) group. The rat epididymal adipose tissue was collected for detecting all the cytosine methylation levels in two fragments of Scd1 gene by bisulfite sequencing PCR(BSP). Scd1-1 was located in CG shores and Scd1-2 in CG islands, including the transcriptional start site(TSS). The Scd1 mRNA level was determined by quantitative real-time PCR(q-PCR). Spearman correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlations between amplified fragment C methylation and physiological and biochemical indicators. The results showed that GQDM remarkably reversed the elevated CG7 methylation in the TSS upstream region of Scd1-2 triggered by high-fat diet. GQDL significantly reversed the lowered total CG methylation in the downstream region of Scd1-2 induced by the high-fat diet. GQD did not significantly improve the decreased Scd1 mRNA expression caused by high-fat diet. Changes in methylation of the total CG, CG5 and CT11 of Scd1-1 in CG shores exhibited significant negative correlations with the serum triglyceride(TG) but positive correlation with the Scd1 mRNA level. The methylation of several C sites in the TSS upstream region of Scd1-2 was positively correlated with physiological and biochemical parameters. The methylation of several CG sites in the TSS downstream region of Scd1-2 was negatively associated with physiological and biochemical parameters. Besides, the methylation of several CH sites in the downstream fragment was positively correlated with physiological and biochemical parameters. All these have demonstrated that GQD may exert the therapeutic effect by regulating the methylation of CG7 in the TSS upstream region and total CG site in the TSS downstream region of Scd1 gene. The methylation of total CG, CG5 and CT11 sites in CG shores of Scd1 gene may be important targets for regulating Scd1 mRNA level and affecting serum TG.

A new coordination framework {[Mn7(L)4(OH)2(H2O)4(DMA)4]·8H2O·6DMA}n (H3 L = 3,3′,3″-[1,3,5-benzenetriyltris(carbonylimino)]tris(benzoate); DMA = N,N-dimethylacetamide) is synthesized under mixed solvothermal conditions. Structural analysis reveals that this complex possesses a three-dimensional framework with (3,10)- c topology based on different [Mn6] clusters. Moreover, magnetic investigations suggest that intra-cluster Mn(II) ions exhibit antiferromagnetic coupling.

A new hybrid organic–inorganic perovskite, ( R-3AQ)KI3 [ R-3AQ2+ = ( R)-(+)-3-aminoquinuclidine], has been synthesized and comprehensively characterized by experimental approaches and density functional theory calculations. Our experimental results demonstrate that ( R-3AQ)KI3 has a typical perovskite structure and exhibits a reversible order–disorder phase transition at temperatures of 457 and 443 K on heating and cooling, respectively. Under ultraviolet irradiation, a clear yellowish-green emission peaked at 556 nm was observed for ( R-3AQ)KI3. The calculated electronic structure shows that ( R-3AQ)KI3 possesses a typical direct bandgap with a value of 3.74 eV and its valence band maximum and conduction band minimum primarily arise from the I-5p and I-5s orbitals, respectively. In addition, the elastic calculations indicate that ( R-3AQ)KI3 displays a relatively large structure stiffness, relatively small elastic anisotropy, and fairly low acoustic velocity, owing to the rigid K–I bonds and the strong hydrogen bond interactions between the [KI3]2− perovskite framework and R-3AQ2+ cations. These results suggest that the mechanical robustness of this multifunctional ( R-3AQ)KI3 makes it a good candidate material for sensing applications.

Three Co(II) coordination polymers (CPs), {[Co2(HL)(1,4-bibb)(H2O)]·(CH3CN)·(H2O)}n (1), {[Co4(L)(OH)3(H2O)4]·(1,4-bmib)}n (2) and {[Co6(L)2(OH)2(4,4-biyb)]·(CH3CN)·(H2O)}n (3) have been obtained based on a V-shaped rigid pentacarboxylate ligand (H5L = 3,5-di(2′,5′-dicarboxylphenyl)benzoic acid) and different N-donor ligands. All complexes show 3D structures and contain open carboxyl sites and “accessible metal sites” (AMSs). The gas adsorption experiments show that 1 and 3 have a high H2 adsorption capacity at 77 K and in particular, 3 displays the selective uptake of CO2 over CH4 (14.2 for CO2/CH4 = 0.5/0.5 and 11.0 for CO2/CH4 = 0.05/0.95 under 1 bar at 298 K). Field-induced slow magnetic relaxation was observed in two interpenetrated cobalt(II) metal–organic framework (MOF) isomers constructed from a dual-functional ligand 1H-benzimidazole-5-carboxylic acid, which represent the first example of MOF isomers showing field-induced single-ion magnet behavior.

Three metal-organic frameworks {[Cd(L)(glu)]⋅3 H2 O}∞ (1), {[Cd2 (L)2 (adi)2 ]⋅5 H2 O}∞ (2) and {[Cd(L)(sub)]⋅3 H2 O⋅DMA }∞ (3) (L=pyridine-3,5-bis(5-azabenzimidazole), H2 glu=glutaric acid, H2 adi=adipic acid and H2 sub=suberic acid) were obtained under solvothermal conditions. Complex 1 shows a 2D (4,4) network constructing of Cd2 -glu and Cd-L chains. Complex 2 presents a 2-fold interpenetrating 3D framework with pcu topology. Complex 3 is a 3D framework with cds topology. Three complexes with versatile structures were obtained by changing aliphatic dicarboxylate ligands with different lengths based on a N-rich ligand. Moreover, the fluorescence measurements indicate that complex 1 is a good multifunctional chemosensor for the detection of Cr2 O72- and MnO4- anions by fluorescence quenching effect, and ethylenediamine by fluorescence enhancement effect, with detection limits of 1.196 ppm, 0.551 ppm and 64.572 ppm, respectively. Both complexes 2 and 3 can selectively sense Cr2 O72- anion with detection limits of 1.126 ppm for 2 and 0.831 ppm for 3 by a fluorescence quenching effect.

A new metal-organic framework (MOF) {[Cd2 (bbib)2 (ndc)2 ]⋅2DMF}n (JXUST-1) (bbib=1,3-bis(benzimidazolyl)benzene, H2 ndc=1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide) has been solvothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, PXRD, TGA, IR and elemental analysis. JXUST-1 exhibits a three-dimensional 6-connected pcu topology with a Schlafli symbol {412 .63 } constructed by [Cd2 (CO2 )3 ] secondary building units. Fluorescence studies show that this MOF can sensitively and selectively recognize Al3+ via a fluorescence enhancement effect, and the detection limit is 0.048 ppm. Furthermore, JXUST-1 displays relatively good thermal and chemical stabilities as well as reusability. All these results suggest JXUST-1 to be a highly selective and recyclable luminescent sensing material for the detection of Al3+ .

Owing to the influence of advancing speed, the movement characteristics of roof are special, and there exists a risk of pressure frame and roof fall. To understand the influence of the advancing speed on the strata pressure distribution of the fully mechanized top-coal caving roadway during the transition period, this study takes the 301 fully mechanized top-coal caving face of Changchun Xing coal mine as the engineering background. The influence of the advancing speed on the distribution of the abutment pressure is analyzed on the basis of the elastic foundation beam theory, and the characteristics of strata pressure display are verified by both numerical simulation and field measurement. The results show that when the advancing speed of the working face increases, the value of the bearing pressure at the azimuth position in front of the working face also increases. Within a certain range, the peak value of the bearing pressure at the front of the working face is proportional to the advancing speed, and the position of the peak value of the supporting pressure in advance is closer to the working face. The conclusions obtained can provide technical support for stop and end surrounding rock control measures in similar working faces.

A ZnII-based metal-organic framework (MOF) with a rare tcj topology has been solvothermally synthesized and displays relatively good thermal and chemical stabilities. Interestingly, the MOF can sensitively and selectively sense acetylacetone (acac) via a fluorescence enhancement effect with a detection limit of 0.10 ppm and good reusability, which demonstrates the first example of a MOF-based turn-on fluorescent sensor for acac.

To investigate the effect of Gegen Qinlian Decoction(GQD) on enzyme activity, gene expression and methylation level of fatty acid synthase(FASN) in adipose tissue from rats with insulin resistance induced by high-fat diet. The 60% fat-powered high-fat diet was continuously given to male SD rats to induce the insulin resistance model. Then, they were divided into five groups randomly and administrated by gavage every day for 16 weeks with following drugs respectively: 10 mL·kg~(-1)water for control group(C) and insulin resistance model control group(IR), 1.65 g·kg~(-1)GQD per day for low-dose group(GQDL), 4.95 g·kg~(-1)GQD per day for medium-dose group(GQDM), 14.85 g·kg~(-1)GQD per day for high-dose group(GQDH), and 5 mg·kg~(-1) rosiglitazone per day for rosiglitazone group(RGN). Epididymal adipose tissue was taken to determine enzyme activity of FASN by colorimetric method, mRNA expression level of Fasn by quantitative Real-time PCR(Q-PCR) and CpGs methylation level between +313 and +582 by bisulfite sequencing PCR(BSP). These results showed that Fasn expression was significantly lowered in IR model rats compared with the control rats(Plt;0.01). Enzymatic activity and CpGs methylation level of Fasn in IR group showed downward trends. Low and medium-dose GQD can increase enzyme activity of FASN(Plt;0.05). Moreover, low-dose GQD increased the total CpGs methylation level of Fasn fragment between +313 and +582 in insulin resistance rats(Plt;0.05). For GQDM group, the methylation frequency of CpGs at positions +506 and +508(Plt;0.01) as well as the methylation frequency of CpGs on the binding sites of transcription factorzinc finger protein 161(Plt;0.05) were significantly increased. The methylation frequency of CpG at +442 position was positively correlated with Fasn expression(Plt;0.01, r=0.735), and methylation frequencies of CpGs at +345 and +366 positions were positively associated to enzyme activity of FASN respectively(Plt;0.05, r=0.479; Plt;0.01, r=0.640). In conclusion, GQD can reverse enzyme activity of FASN and methylation level of Fasn in adipose tissue of insulin resistant rats, and CpG sites at positions +506 and +508 may be the targets of GQD. The methylation level of CpGs at + 345 and + 366 sites were possibly related to FASN activity, while methylation of CpG at + 442 site may be closely correlated with mRNA level of Fasn. In addition, GQD did not significantly change mRNA expression level of Fasn, but effectively reversed enzymatic activity, suggesting that GQD may regulate the post transcriptional expression of Fasn.

The effects of SiCp addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZTA ceramics was investigated by microwave sintering. Partially stabilized zirconia（3Y-ZrO2）nanopowder containing SiCp was prepared by microwave pyrolysing precursor which was was achieved by co-precipitation method. The powders of alumina, yttria partially stabilized zirconia containing SiCp were mixed to prepare ZTA ceramics green body by die pressing and cold isostatic pressing and subsequently sintered at the range of 1350°C-1550°C for 30min by microwave. XRD revealed that 3Y-ZrO2/SiC powder contained more tetragonal phase than 3Y-ZrO2 powder which was also confirmed by SEM and particle size distribution. The phenomenon was because of SiCp forming the microwave heating spot that promoted pyrolysis progress when 3Y-ZrO2/SiC powder was prepared by microwave heating. Microstructure showed that the grain of ZTA ceramics had directional growth by microwave sintering. SiCp firstly absorbed microwave that made more uniform sintering of ZTA ceramics and caused local oriented growth of zirconia and alumina. Thus, the bending strength of ZTA ceramics was higher than ZTA without SiCp. The ladder type heating mode of microwave sintering ZTA ceramics reduced relatively sintering time by 20min due to the addition of SiCp.Introduction

Two isomorphous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) {[M2(μ3-OH)(trz)(sdba)(H2O)]·3H2O}∞ (M = Ni for 1, Zn for 2, Htrz = 1,2,4-triazole, H2sdba = 4,4′-sulfonyldibenzoate) were obtained under the same reaction condition. Both of complexes present a three dimensional 8-c framework with whc1 topology based on M4-(μ3-OH) units. Moreover, the magnetic properties of 1 and anion sensing of 2 were investigated. The magnetic study show that the domain antiferromagnetic interactions exist in 1. However, complex 2 can be considered as a promising chemical sensor for detecting PO43¯by means of fluorescence enhancement among various anions in aqueous solutions.

A series of Ln(III)-based compounds with the formula [Ln2(HL)2(acac)2(CH3OH)2] (Ln (III) = Gd (1), Tb (2), Dy (3), Ho (4) and Er (5), Hacac = acetylacetone, H3L = 3-hydroxy-N’-[(1E)-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)methylidene]pyridine-2-carbohydrazide) based on a flexible Schiff base ligand H3L have been successfully synthesized, and the structures and magnetic properties of 1–5 have been systematacially studied. The crystal structures study indicates that compounds 1–5 are isostructural and possess a parallelogram Ln2O2 core. Magnetic properties measurements reveal that an antiferromagnetic interaction is exsisted in 1 and ferromagnetic interactions are exsisted in compounds 3 and 4. Remarkably, compound 1 displays well cryogenic magnetic refrigeration property with a larger magnetic entropy (−ΔSm = 28.79 J K−1 kg−1, T = 2.0 K and ΔH = 70 kOe). Moreover, alternating-current (ac) magnetic susceptibility research reveals that compound 3 shows slow magnetic relaxation behavior under zero dc field. Furthermore, under an external dc field of 1500 Oe, compound 3 displays remarkable SMM behavior with the effective barrier (ΔE/kB) of 14.9 K.

Six new coordination polymers (CPs) based on the V-shaped 1,3-bis(benzimidazolyl)benzene (bbib) have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions: [Zn(bbib)(ip)]n (1), {[Zn(bbib)(oba)]·solvents}n (2), {[Zn(bbib)(tp)]·DMF}n (3), [Cd(bbib)(ip)]n (4), {[Cd(bbib)(oba)]·H2O·solvents}n (5) and {[Cd(bbib)(tp)]·DMF}n (6) (ip = isophthalate, oba = 4,4′-oxybisbenzoate and tp = terephthalate). Complexes 1–3 display a plane minimal net, (4,4) sheet and a hexagonal plane net, respectively. The structures of 4–6 range from a 1D zigzag chain (4), 2D (4,4) sheet (5) to a 3D “pillar-layer” coordination framework with pcu α-Po topology (6). The structural transition from 1D to 3D among these complexes is realized with the aid of different auxiliary ligands. The results demonstrate that the conformations and coordination modes of dicarboxylate ligands make an impact on the structural diversity of ZnII/CdII coordination polymers. To the best of our knowledge, the CPs based on the bbib ligand have been successfully prepared for the first time. Moreover, complex 2 is a good bifunctional chemosensor for the detection of both Fe3+ and MnO4− with the detection limits of 3.31 ppm and 8.81 ppm, respectively, indicating that 2 could be used as an efficient fluorescent sensor with high sensitivity and selectivity for Fe3+ and MnO4−.

A new Cu(II) coordination framework {[Cu(4-abpt)(μ3-SO42-)(H2O)]·3H2O}∞ (1) based on the Cu–SO42- inorganic layer and the bent dipyridyl ligand was obtained under solvothermal conditions (4-abpt ​= ​4-amino-3,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole). The compound displays a three-dimensional (3D) “pillar-layer” framework, which can be simplified into a 3,5-connected gra topology. Furthermore, the magnetic properties of 1 have been investigated. As a result, compound 1 displays a weak antiferromagnetic interaction among the Cu(II) centers.

In recent years, the tumor-stroma ratio (TSR) has been considered to a new and independent predictive variable for the prognosis of some kinds of neoplasms. The objective of this study was to assess the prognostic significance of the TSR in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).A cohort of 261 NSCLC patients who underwent radical surgery of lung cancer were included in the present study. Two independent observers visually estimated the TSR on hematoxylin-eosin (HE) stained tissue pathological slices. According to the proportion of stroma ≥50% or50%, We separate the patients into two groups: those with stroma-poor and those with stroma-rich tumors.Both univariate and multivariate analyses disclosed that the TSR was associated with overall survival (OS) [hazard ratio (HR), 1.741; 95% confidence intervals (CI), 1.040-2.913 and HR, 1.904; 95% CI, 1.132-3.202, respectively]. The HR values for disease-free survival (DFS) were 1.795 (95% CI, 1.073-3.005) and 2.034 (95% CI, 1.210-3.420). The OS and DFS of patients with stroma-poor tumors were better than those with stroma-rich tumors.These results demonstrated that the TSR is a new prognostic factor for NSCLC. Stroma-poor tumors were associated with longer disease-free period and better prognosis than were stroma-rich tumors in NSCLC patients. The TSR may contribute to the development of individualized treatment for NSCLC in the future.

Four transition metal–organic frameworks were solvothermally synthesized with V-shaped 1,3-bis(1-imidazolyl)benzene (bib) and two Y-shaped carboxylate ligands (1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid (H3btc) and 3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (H2pydc)), namely, {[M2(μ3-OH)(bib)(btc)]·H2O}n (M = Co (1) and Fe (2)) and {[M′2(μ3-OH)(μ2-NO3)(bib)(pydc)]·solvents}n (M′ = Co (3) and Ni (4)). All of them are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectrosopy, and powder X-ray diffraction. Both complexes 1 and 2 present two-dimensional (3,8)-connected layer structures, and the point symbol is (3.42)2(34.46.56.68.73.8), but Fe2 in 2 is weakly coordinated to O5 as a trigonal bipyramidal geometry compared with the tetrahedral Co2 in 1, while complexes 3 and 4 exhibit three-dimensional “pillar-layer” structures with (3,8)-connected tfz-d net. The preparation of ferronickel alloy from the nickel laterite ore with low Co and high MgO contents was studied by using a pre-reduction–smelting method. The effects of reduction time, calcination temperature, quantity of reductant and calcium oxide (CaO), and pellet diameter on the reduction ratio of Fe and on the pellet strength were investigated. The results show that, for a roasting temperature >800 °C, a roasting time >30 min, 1.5wt% added anthracite coal, 5wt% added CaO, and a pellet size of ~10 mm, the reduction ratio of Fe exceeds 70% and the compressive strength of the pellets exceeds 10 kg per pellet. Reduction smelting experiments were performed by varying the smelting time, temperature, quantity of reductant and CaO, and reduction ratio of Fe in the pellets. Optimal conditions for the reduction smelting process are as follows: smelting time, 30–45 min; smelting temperature, 1550°C; quantity of reductant, 4wt%–5wt%; and quantity of CaO, 5wt%; leading to an Fe reduction ratio of 75% in the pellets. In addition, the mineral composition of the raw ore and that during the reduction process were investigated by process mineralogy.

Three Pb(II) complexes {[Pb 3 (BOABA) 2 (H 2 O)]·H 2 O} n ( 1 ), {[Pb 4 (BOABA) 2 (µ 4 -O)(H 2 O) 2 ]·H 2 O} n ( 2 ), and [Pb 3 (BOABA) 2 (H 2 O)] n ( 3 ) (H 3 BOABA=3,5-bis-oxyacetate-benzoic acid) were obtained under the same reaction systems with different temperatures. Complexes 1 and 2 are two dimensional (2D) networks based on Pb-BOABA chains and Pb 4 (µ 4 -O)(COO) 6 SBUs, respectively. Complex 3 presents an interesting three dimensional (3D) framework, was obtained by increasing the reaction temperature. Structural transition of the crystallization products is largely dependent on the reaction temperature. Moreover, the fluorescence properties of complexes 1 – 3 have been investigated.

High heat flux electronics have encountered difficulties in thermal management. There are some shortcomings in traditional cooling methods. Ionic wind cooling technology based on electrohydrodynamic (EHD) has unique advantages. There are by-product hazards and speed raising limits in the reported ionic wind generators. An electromagnetic field and nanomaterials improved ionic wind cooling system is designed for environment-friendly improvement and thermal management application. The proposed cooling system is optimized experimentally to increase the ionic wind intensity and reduce ozone generation. The results indicate that adding a magnetic field changes the movement trajectory of charged particles and thus regulates the distribution of the flow field. In the macroscopic sense, the ionic wind intensity is also improved, and the greater the magnetic flux density is, the more obvious the effect is. A maximal improvement of 58.6% was obtained. The ionic wind velocity increases by 0.71 m/s due to the synergistic effect of a magnetic field. Meanwhile, the O3 concentration decreased by more than 95% using both the magnetic field and the carbon nanotubes. When the cooling system is applied to a high-power light-emitting diode (LED) chip for thermal management, the cooling effect is remarkable. The results provide an important theoretical basis for the application of EHD technology in the thermal management of electronic devices.

Construction project managers (CPMs) with different types of personalities make various assessments in risky situations and draw up different risk management strategies. This research presents the findings of an empirical study in China that investigated whether and how CPMs with different personality traits differed in the way they perceived project risk. A conceptual model was developed and four hypotheses were proposed concerning the relationships among personality traits, risk propensity, and risk perception using the Big Five personality model. The Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling analyses of a sample of 152 imply that 1) Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness significantly influence risk propensity; 2) risk propensity negatively affects risk perception; 3) Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness have significant effects on risk perception; and 4) risk propensity fully mediates the relationship between personality traits and risk perception. The results were complemented by qualitative evidence from 5 semi-structured interviews with project managers. This research contributes to a better understanding of how CPMs perceive risk.

Skin color segmentation plays an important role in the biological feature recognition system. In order to improve the system adaptability to the complex environment, a new model of Cr*a*b by combing the YCbCr with Lab model is proposed. Firstly, establish the three-dimensional coordinate system based on the Cr, a, b axes, the two-two coordinates form the directional vectors by using the origin as the starting point. Then calculate the angles between the three vectors. Finally, realize the purpose of skin color segmentation by reducing the dimensions of angle data. Experimental results show that this algorithm can improve the over sensitive of YCbCr model to red and yellow, the defect of the skin color weak clustering in the Lab model is also overcame. Even if for the image with complex background environment, the percent of average accurate detection is about 87.7%. The proposed algorithm can get the high skin color segmentation rate and has good practicability.

When the Cassini spacecraft finally plunged into the Saturnian atmosphere on 2017 September 15, China’s deep space telescope pointed to Saturn to observe Cassini and study the Saturnian upper neutral atmosphere. In this first Chinese Saturnian radio science experiment, X band Doppler velocity radio science data between the deep space telescope and the Cassini spacecraft were obtained. After removing Saturnian and solar gravity effects, Earth rotation effect, the remaining Saturnian atmosphere drag information was retrieved in the Cassini final plunge progress. Saturn’s upper neutral atmosphere mass density profile is approximately estimated based on atmosphere mass density derived principally by real orbit measurement data. Saturn’s upper neutral atmospheremass density from76 000 km to 1400 km is estimated fromthe orbit measurement data, the mass density results are about from 1.4 × 10−15 kg cm−3 to 2.5 × 10−14 kg cm−3.
