Bees and other important animals are vital to human survival on the earth. They not only produce delicious honey, but also play an indispensable role in plant pollination, making a unique contribution to the world. The bee population reduction crisis is known as a global problem of sustainable development goals. To consider the factors that can influence the size of honey bee populations and how these factors can affect the size of honey bee populations, we will use the most basic evaluation model. Given the need to accurately calculate the weight of each factor, we use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model. In order to analyze the results of the AHP model, we will list our variable factors, apply the AHP model and use sensitivity analysis on it. Also, to predict how many honeybees hives you will need to support pollination of an 81,000 square meters parcel of land containing crops that benefit from pollination. we consider to use Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) model, which can indicate a stationary distribution to the attendance rate of the bees after n times.

Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules play a critical role in the immune response of vertebrate animals by presenting foreign antigens to T lymphocytes. In this study, we first cloned and identified a classical and a novel nonclassical MHC I α molecules from Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica), named as AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L, respectively. The full-length cDNA of AjMHC I-UBA contains an open reading frame (ORF) of 1047 bp encoding a predicted protein of 348 amino acids, while AjMHC I-L 1089 bp encodes 362 amino acids. The multiple alignment of the amino acid sequence showed that AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L consist of an N-terminal MHC I superfamily domain within α1 and α2 helices, an IgC-MHC I α3 domain, and a transmembrane region close to the C-terminal, which are similar to other fish and mammal species. Molecular polymorphism analysis showed that eight different major alleles of AjMHC I-UBA, named as AjMHC I-UBA*0101～1001, were identified from six Japanese eel individuals. Furthermore, a distinguishing signature of the nonclassical L-lineage genes specific motif “HINMTL”, including an N-glycosylation site (NXS/T), was present in the α3 domain of AjMHC I-L sequences. Although the predicted three-dimensional structures of AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L are similar to that of human MHC I α, phylogenetic analysis showed that these two protein molecules belong to classical MHC I UBA gene of U-lineage and nonclassical MHC I gene of L-lineage, respectively. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analysis revealed that the highest expression of AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L was found in the intestine and the expression level of AjMHC I-UBA in all of the examined tissues was significantly higher than that of AjMHC I-L. The expressions of AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L in liver, kidney and spleen were significantly induced following injection with the viral mimic poly I:C, LPS, and Aeromonas hydrophila infection. In vitro, the AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L transcripts of Japanese eel liver cells were significantly enhanced by the treatment of poly I:C or the stimulation of the high concentration of A. hydrophila. Subcellular localization showed that under natural conditions, AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L were uniformly distributed in the cytoplasm, and aggregated into spots or flakes in the cytoplasm after the stimulation of poly I:C or LPS. These results collectively suggested that AjMHC I-UBA and AjMHC I-L are important components possibly involved in Japanese eel defense against viral and bacterial infection. Taken together, these findings provide valuable insight into the immune function of MHC class I in the immune system of teleost.

In brief dmrtb1 performs critical functions in sex determination/differentiation and gonadal development in many organisms, but its role in teleost is rarely studied. Through gene cloning, in situ hybridization, and RNA interference technology, the function of dmrtb1 in testicular development of large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) was studied; our study will be helpful in understanding further the molecular regulation mechanism of Lcdmrtb1/Lcdmrt6 in testicular development in L. crocea, and our results enrich the theory of fish dmrts involved in reproductive regulation and provide a new idea for sex control breeding of L. crocea by manipulating reproductive pathway. Abstract Doublesex- and mab-3-related transcription factor B1 (dmrtb1/dmrt6) belongs to one of the members of DMRT family, which performs critical functions in sex determination and differentiation, gonadal development, and functional maintenance. However, knowledge of its exact mechanism remains unclear in teleost. Very little is known about the role of dmrtb1 in the gonad development of Larimichthys crocea. In this study, a dmrtb1 homolog in L. crocea named as Lcdmrtb1 with the full-length cDNA was isolated and characterized. Except for the conserved DM domain, the other regions had low homology. Of the tissues sampled, Lcdmrtb1 was only found to be highly expressed in the testis. In situ hybridization of testis revealed Lcdmrtb1 in both spermatogonia and spermatocytes. After Lcdmrtb1 interference in the testis cells (LYCT) of L. crocea, the expression levels of Lcdmrtb1 and Lcdmrt1 were significantly decreased; subsequently, testicular cell morphology changed from fibrous to round and their growth rate slowed. Similarly, the expression levels of Lcdmrtb1, Lcdmrt1, sox9a/b, and amh were significantly decreased after RNAi in the testis. Furthermore, it was discovered that the spermatogonia had disappeared, and the Sertoli cells had been reduced. The results of immunohistochemistry showed that the expression of Sox9 protein in the testis was not detected after dmrtb1 was knocked down. These results indicated that the absence of Lcdmrtb1 not only greatly inhibited cell growth and destroyed the morphology of testis cells but also down-regulated Lcdmrt1 expression in the testis. This study will be helpful in understanding further the molecular regulation mechanism of Lcdmrtb1/Lcdmrt6 in testicular development in L. crocea.

According to the demand of intelligent station construction in urban rail transit, the intelligent control of station hall, platform and other equipment places is improved, and the electrical equipment in the station is adjusted by intelligent passenger flow detection switch, so as to achieve the power consumption principle of " needed and supplied", which can ensure the use of equipment when the passenger flow in the station increases and realize energy saving and emission reduction when the passenger flow decreases. The application of intelligent switch device based on passenger flow detection in subway stations helps urban rail to grasp the passenger flow in time, reduces energy consumption, and effectively realizes energy saving and emission reduction while improving the efficiency and safety of intelligent management of station operation.

In previous study, we reported the identification, tissue distribution, and the roles of Spdsx played in the testis, androgenic gland, and ovary in Scylla paramamosain. Here, we primally identify its potential target genes in the ovary with RNAi and RNA-Seq technology. By comparing the transcriptome data of two groups (ovaries that injected with dsRNA for EGFP and Dsx), we found that 6520 Unigenes were differentially expressed, including a plenty of conserved crucial genes involved in ovarian development, such as vitellogenin (vtg), vtg receptor (vtgR), apolipoprotein D, adenylate cyclase 3, adenylate cyclase 5, cyclin A, cyclin B, and cell division cycle 2 (cdc2). In addition, these DEGs were also enriched in pathways related to ovary development, including PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, insulin signaling pathway, Wnt signaling pathway, relaxin signaling pathway, estrogen signaling pathway, progesterone-mediated oocyte maturation, ovarian steroidogenesis, and oocyte meiosis. Moreover, several genes were selected for qRT-PCR to validate the accuracy of the bioinformatic result. According to current transcriptome result, we speculate that the Spdsx is a crucial regulator of ovary development in S. paramamosain. To the best of our knowledge, the current study was the first report about dsx function through comparative transcriptome analysis in crustacean species, which not only identified relevant genes and pathways involved in ovarian development of S. paramamosain, but also shed light on the regulatory mechanisms of dsx at the molecular level in crustacean.

Based on computer vision technology, this paper presents a human motion analysis and target tracking technology based on computer vision. In terms of moving target detection, the current moving target detection technology is summarized, and some experimental results of the algorithm are given. The background difference method under monocular camera is emphatically analyzed. The preliminary human contour is obtained by the background difference method. In order to obtain a smoother target contour, the mathematical morphology is used to remove the noise, and the judgment algorithm of the size of the image connected domain is added. A specific threshold is set to remove the connected domain of the noise block less than the threshold. In the aspect of human motion recognition, this paper selects human motion features, including minimum external rectangle aspect ratio, rectangularity, circularity, and moment invariant. The criteria for selecting human motion features are strong noise resistance and obvious distinction. Then, the three types of human motion images are classified and recognized. After cross-validation and parameter optimization, the recognition accuracy is significantly improved. The experimental results show that the video sequence collected in the field has a total of 376 frames, and the frame rate is 10 frames/s. Due to the small traffic, the mean shift algorithm based on adaptive feature fusion is used to track the target every 2-3 frames. And set the inverse X direction as the direction of entering the scene and the X direction as the direction of moving out of the scene so that the allowable error of the distance between the detection and tracking results is 10. The weight of each feature is dynamically updated by the similarity between the candidate model and the target model, which solves the problem that the mean shift algorithm is not robust enough when similar objects are occluded and interfered and achieves more accurate tracking.

It is urgent to identify the development of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in countries around the world. Therefore, visualization is particularly important for monitoring the COVID-19. In this paper, we visually analyze the real-time data of COVID-19, to monitor the trend of COVID-19 in the form of charts. At present, the COVID-19 is still spreading. However, in the existing works, the visualization of COVID-19 data has not established a certain connection between the forecast of the epidemic data and the forecast of the epidemic. To better predict the development trend of the COVID-19, we establish a logistic growth model to predict the development of the epidemic by using the same data source in the visualization. However, the logistic growth model only has a single feature. To predict the epidemic situation in an all-round way, we also predict the development trend of the COVID-19 based on the Susceptible Exposed Infected Removed epidemic model with multiple features. We fit the data predicted by the model to the real COVID-19 epidemic data. The simulation results show that the predicted epidemic development trend is consistent with the actual epidemic development trend, and our model performs well in predicting the trend of COVID-19.

Data interaction scenarios involving multiple parties in network communities have problems of trust, data security, and reliability of the parties, and secure multiparty computation(SMPC) can effectively solve these problems. To address the security and fairness issues of SMPC, this study considers that semi-honest participants can lead to deviations in the security and fairness of the protocol, and combines information entropy and mutual information to present an n-round information exchange protocol in which each participant broadcasts a relevant information value in each round without revealing other information. The uncertainty of the correct outcome value is blurred by the interaction information in each round, and each participant is not sure of the correct outcome value until the end of the protocol, which effectively prevents malicious behavior and ensures the correct execution of the protocol. Security and fairness analysis shows that our protocol guarantees the security and relative fairness of the output obtained by the participants after completing the protocol.

Traditionally, invertebrates were thought to lack immune memory owing to a lack of acquired immune-related factors such as immunoglobulin. Nonetheless, with the in-depth consideration of invertebrate immune priming, scholars have gradually realized that the immune defenses of invertebrates are more complex than previously imagined. In the current investigation, the survival rate of Vibrio parahaemolyticus re-infected Haliotis discus hannai (VV group) was significantly different from the other groups (p 0.05), indicating that an enhanced immune response may commence after first exposure to the same strain of V. parahaemolyticus. The transcriptome profiles of hemocytes obtained 102,052 unigenes, and 27,449 of them were annotated successfully. Venn diagram analysis showed that 2832 DEGs commonly responded to the first and second immune responses. 1734 "immune response genes" and 1460 "potential immune-enhancing genes" were also identified. A comparison of both "immune response genes" and "potential immune-enhancing genes" revealed 1019 immune-enhancing regulatory genes and 281 essential immune-enhancing genes. According to the KEGG enrichment analysis results of ERGs and EEGs, classical immune-related signaling pathways, such as NF-kappa B signaling pathway, NOD-like receptor signaling pathway, IL-17 signaling pathway, and TLR signaling pathway were significantly enriched, indicating that they were all involved in the response to V. parahaemolyticus re-infection and were likely dominant in the immune enhancement process of H. discus hannai hemocytes. The intermolecular interactions generated by Cytoscape after re-infection of V. parahaemolyticus appear more intuitively to demonstrate that hemocytes regulation was not an independent process, but rather an intricate regulatory network. H. discus hannai demonstrated enhanced immunological activity after re-infection with V. parahaemolyticus, showing immune memory in hemocytes. The current study's findings have broadened the study of immune enhancement in invertebrates and laid the framework for future research into the molecular mechanism of immune enhancement in abalones.

The mud crab Scylla paramamosain is an economically important species for aquaculture in China and has sexually dimorphic between females and males. Understanding sex differentiation in this species is essential for the development of monosex aquaculture. The Dmrt genes play a vital role in sex differentiation in animals.In this study, two dmrt-like transcript variants, Spdmrt-like-tv1 and Spdmrt-like-v2, were cloned. SpDmrt-like-tv1 contained a DM domain, while SpDmrt-like-tv2 contained a DM and a DMA domain. Spdmrt-like-tv1 and Spdmrt-like-tv2 were both specifically expressed in testis. During testicular development, the expression level of Spdmrt-like-tv1 increased from stage I to stage II (P 0.05) and then decreased from stage II to stage III (P 0.05). The expression level of Spdmrt-like-tv2 in stages I and II was significantly higher than that in stage III (P 0.05). During embryonic development, the expression level of Spdmrt-like-tv1 was higher in the mid-embryonic stage compared with the early and late stages, but the differences were not significant. Moreover, the expression level of Spdmrt-like-tv2 was stable and remained high throughout embryonic development. Furthermore, the expression level of Spdmrt-like-tv2 was significantly higher than that of Spdmrt-like-tv1. Knockdown of Spdmrt-like variants indicated that the regulative target gene of Spdmrt-like-tv1 was Spsox21, and the regulative target genes of Spdmrt-like-tv2 were Spfoxl2 and Spsox21. Combined with the results in our previously published peer-reviewed articles that the expression of Spfoxl2 in the testis was significantly higher than that in the ovary, and Spfoxl2 negatively regulated Spvtg expression. Spsox21 played a role in the development and maintenance of testis as well as in the process of neural development and regulation of body segmentation.Therefore, we suggest that Spdmrt-like-tv1 and Spdmrt-like-tv2 might be involved in testicular development and embryonic development, and Spdmrt-like-tv2 might play more important roles in these two developmental processes by regulating the expression of Spfoxl2 and Spsox21 due to its high expression.

Currently, traditional flight data sharing models cannot resist quantum attacks, which poses the risk of data leakage. The research on the flight data sharing model against quantum attack has become one of the research hotspots. Lattice-based cryptography is recognized as an effective way to resist quantum attacks. A flight data sharing model on consortium blockchain is proposed in this paper to resolve data leakage during data sharing. First, a new lattice-based multisignature scheme (Lamus) is proposed, capable of resisting quantum attacks. We prove the security of the proposed Lamus scheme in the random oracle model. Moreover, a flight data sharing model on consortium blockchain is proposed by applying the proposed Lamus scheme to resist quantum attacks. Security and performance analysis show that the model guarantees antiquantum security, and it achieves good performance in terms of storage efficiency and operating efficiency.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been linked to immunological modulation. Unfortunately, little is known about the processes of immune control in shrimp. In crustaceans such as Litopenaeus vannamei, a prominent aquaculture species, the X-organ-sinus gland complex (XO-SG) in the eyestalk is an essential neuroendocrine regulatory organ. Eyestalk ablation is commonly employed in aquaculture to accelerate ovarian maturation in shrimp. It does, however, have a negative impact on the shrimps' immunocompetence and causes death. As a result, we used RNA-seq to profile the transcriptomes of L. vannamei hemocytes infected with Vibrio parahaemolyticus after the eyestalk ablation. Following strict transcript screening procedures, 2307 lncRNAs were identified from L. vannamei hemocytes in this study. Pearson correlation analysis was finally used to uncover 535 DElncRNAs and 1566 DEmRNA targets. According to the Venn diagram analysis, 326 non-eyestalk regulatory lncRNAs (NElncRNAs) with a target of 1014 non-eyestalk regulatory genes (NEmRNAs), 47 eyestalk negative regulatory lncRNAs (ENRlncRNAs) with a target of 95 eyestalk negative regulatory genes (ENRmRNAs), and 162 eyestalk positive regulatory lncRNAs (EPRlncRNAs) with a target of 457 eyestalk positive regulatory genes (EPRmRNAs) were screened. The bioinformatics analysis revealed that lncRNAs were associated with Axon regeneration, Rap1 signaling pathway, Thyroid hormone signaling pathway, TGF-beta signaling pathway, and PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, implying that lncRNAs may play a role in the regulation of the neuroendocrine-immune (NEI) system. Furthermore, several lncRNAs targeting HSP70, YWHAZ, FER2, HIF1α, and Notch were discovered and verified by qRT-PCR. These findings showed that regulation of lncRNAs in hemocytes which were controlled by the eyestalk might be one of the impact variables in controlling the differential expression of mRNAs associated with immune response in L. vannamei infected with V. parahaemolyticus.

Haliotis discus hannai is a commercially important mollusk species, and the abalone aquaculture sector has been jeopardized by deteriorating environmental circumstances such as bacterial infection and thermal stress during the hot summers. However, due to a paucity of genetic information, such as transcriptome resources, our understanding of their stress adaptation is restricted. In this research, using single-molecule long-read (SMRT) sequencing technology, a library composed of ten tissues (i.e., haemocytes, gills, muscle, hepatopancreas, digestive tract, mantle, mucous gland, ovary, testis and head) was constructed and sequenced. In all, 41,855 high-quality unique transcripts, among which 24,778 were successfully annotated. Additionally, 13,463 SSRs, 1,169 transcription factors, and 18,124 lncRNAs were identified in H. discus hannai transcriptome. Furthermore, multiple immune-related transcripts were identified according to KEGG annotation, and a portion of these transcripts were mapped into several classical immune-related pathways, including the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway and Toll-like receptor signaling pathway. Additionally, 24 typical sequences related to the immunity pathway were detected by RT-PCR; the results showed that most of the immune-related genes showed significantly high expression at 72 h after bacterial challenges and thermal stress, especially the expression level of genes in gills was significantly higher than that in haemocytes under V. parahaemolyticus stress at 24 h. At the same time. The analysis of alternative splicing identified several innate immunity-related functions genes, including CD109 and caspase 2. These results suggest that the complex immune system, particularly the powerful innate immunity system, was crucial for H. discus hannai response to numerous environmental challenges.

Chitosan crosslinked with metal-organic framework (MOF-199)@aminated graphene oxide aerogel (MOF-199@AFGO/CS) were prepared to adsorb formaldehyde and methyl orange. The prepared MOF-199@AFGO/CS aerogel was well characterized via SEM, EDX, FT-IR, XRD and XPS to reveal the microstructure and composition. Besides, the mechanical property and the stability of MOF-199@AFGO/CS aerogel were investigated. The results showed that MOF-199@AFGO/CS aerogel had good stability in water, compression resilience and thermostability. The study on the ability to adsorb formaldehyde gas and methyl orange showed that the adsorption capacity of MOF-199@AFGO/CS aerogel was related to the pore size and the surface functional groups of MOF-199@AFGO/CS aerogel. When the pore size is moderate, as the amino group and MOF-199 on the aerogel increased, the adsorption capacity of formaldehyde gas (197.89 mg/g) and methyl orange (412 mg/g) can reach the maximum. Furthermore, the adsorption process at equilibrium followed the Freundlich isotherm model. The kinetic behavior was well fitted by the pseudo-second-order model, indicating chemisorption as the rate-determining step. This work can provide a reliable basis for the adsorbent to remove pollutants in different forms at the same time, and has potential application in simultaneously adsorbing liquid pollutants and gas pollutants.

Large yellow croaker Larimichthys crocea (Richardson) is an important member in family Sciaenidae, and one of most productive mariculture fishes in China. Fluorescence in situ hybridization is a useful tool for cytogenetics and genomics research. Here, we demonstrated that bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clones could be used to identify individual chromosomes in large yellow croaker, and also to study chromosome evolution in the related species. By using BAC paired-end sequencing and sequence alignment, 435 BAC clones were anchored to 24 pseudochromosomes of large yellow croaker genome. Among them, 72 BAC clones with low repeat content were selected and passed PCR test, and then grouped by chromosome for FISH test. As a results, there were 67 BAC clones, 2 to 3 BAC clones per chromosome, generated specific and stable signal at expected position. Then, a dual-color FISH probe cocktail composed of 48 of these BAC clones was formulated and used to hybridize metaphase chromosome spreads, resulting in distinct signal patterns on each chromosome pair, which help to distinguish all chromosomes in the metaphase spreads of large yellow croaker. The chromosome-specific BAC-FISH probes were also applied to a close relative of large yellow croaker, Collichthys lucidus, demonstrating that its Y chromosome originated from the fusion of Chr.1 and Chr.7. Thus, our study provides the first set of chromosome-specific FISH probes in family Sciaenidae, which will play an important role in cytogenetics and genomics research in the family.

A growing number of web APIs published on the Internet allows mashup developers to discover appropriate web APIs for polishing mashups. Developers often have to manually pick and choose several web APIs from extremely massive candidates, which is a laborious and cumbersome task. Fortunately, recommender system comes into existence. Some approaches perform recommendations in cloud platforms by utilizing historical records of Mashup-API interactions stored in edge nodes. However, many of these methods often pay more attention to recommendation accuracy while ignoring recommendation diversity, i.e., there are usually popular web APIs in recommendation list while most of the other novel web APIs are absent. The poor recommendation diversity may limit the usefulness of the recommendation results due to the lack of novelty. In order to implement an accurate and diversified web API recommendation, a novel MF-based recommendation approach named Div_PreAPI is put forward in this paper. Div_PreAPI integrates a weighting mechanism and neighborhood information into matrix factorization (MF) to implement diversified and personalized APIs recommendations. Finally, we conduct a series of experiments on a real-world dataset. Experimental results show the effectiveness of our proposal.

Sox genes encode transcription factors with a high-mobility group (HMG) box, playing critical roles in the initiation and maintenance of a variety of developmental processes, such as sex determination and differentiation. In the present study, we identified 26 Sox genes in the genome of spinyhead croaker Collichthys lucidus (Richardson, 1844) with homology-based analysis of the HMG box. The transcriptome-based expression profiles revealed that the expression of the Sox gene in gonads began to differ between sexes when the body length was 2.74 ± 0.24 cm. At that time, three Sox genes (Sox11b, Sox8a and Sox19) were significantly upregulated, accompanied by the downregulation of 12 Sox genes in the ovary, and six Sox genes were temporarily significantly upregulated in the testis. Afterwards, the expression profile of Sox genes changed only with a small amplitude in both the ovary and testis. For adult tissues, huge differences were observed in the expression profiles of Sox genes between ovaries and testes, as well as small differences in somatic tissues between sexes. These results provide clues to further decipher the role of Sox genes in the processes of sex determination and differentiation in spinyhead croaker and other teleosts.

To follow the idea of “coarse-to-fine” in practice, this paper proposes an end-to-end two-stage generative adversarial neural network (ToStaGAN) to improve the brain tumor segmentation performance by making full use of semantic information in high-level.In the proposed ToStaGAN, the UNET network is adopted as the “coarse” generation network in the first stage, while a U-Shaped contextual autoencoder (ConEnDer), which consists of the proposed fine-grained extraction module (FEM) and dense skip connection, is proposed as the “fine” generation network in the second stage. To be more specific, the FEM is mainly used to effectively extract “fine-grained” features that plays a crucial role in semantic segmentation with only increasing a few parameters. Furthermore, it has the ability to obtain more diverse and abstract features. And by further utilizing the features extracted from the FEM and the coarse prediction map from the first stage, the ConEnDer holds the great potential to generate the optimized segmentation results. We then evaluate the performance of ToStaGAN on the BARATS 2015. Findings from the evaluations suggest that the proposed two-stage generation network achieves a better performance than the one-stage network; thus, also implying the effectiveness of the proposed ConEnder for “fine” segmentation. A comparative summary also shows that the ToStaGAN achieves a better segmentation performance in comparison to other competing approaches.

Inositol transporters (INTs) can mediate the transmembrane transport of inositol, and play crucial roles in plant growth, development and stress resistance. However, the INT gene family in Populus has not been reported. Herein, nine INT genes were identified in the Populus trichocarpa genome and divided into three clades. Tandem duplication and whole-genome duplication events could induce the expansion of PtINT gene family. It was worth noting that PtINT1c* and 1d* formed by twice tandem gene duplication events of PtINT1b, but both had undergone partial structural loss during evolution. PtINT2_p1* and PtINT2_p2* might be originated from one INT2 gene by stop codon- and start codon-gain variants. Different members of PtINTs were localized to the plasma membrane or vacuolar membrane. PtINTs had diversified tissue expression profiles, and many members were significantly induced or suppressed after salt and drought treatments. PtINT1b was induced by drought and salinity stresses, and encoded a vacuolar inositol transporter. Overexpression of PtINT1b rendered the transgenic Arabidopsis plants more resistant to salt stress. In conclusion, this study provides valuable clues for future research on the function of PtINTs, and PtINT1b was identified as a candidate gene for genetic engineering to enhance salinity tolerance in plants.

Federated learning is an emerging paradigm that enables multiple organizations to jointly train a model without revealing their private data. As an important variant, vertical federated learning (VFL) deals with cases in which collaborating organizations own data of the same set of users but with disjoint features. It is generally regarded that VFL is more secure than horizontal federated learning. However, recent research (USENIX Security’22) reveals that it is still possible to conduct label inference attacks in VFL, in which attacker can acquire privately owned labels of other participants; even VFL constructed with model splitting (the kind of VFL architecture with higher security guarantee) cannot escape it. To solve this issue, in this paper, we propose the dispersed training framework. It utilizes secret sharing to break the correlations between the bottom model and the training data. Accordingly, even if the attacker receives the gradients in the training phase, he is incapable to deduce the feature representation of labels from the bottom model. Besides, we design a customized model aggregation method such that the shared model can be privately combined, and the linearity of secret sharing schemes ensures the training accuracy to be preserved. Theoretical and experimental analyses indicate the satisfactory performance and effectiveness of our framework.

Hydrogel smart windows are promising candidates for the automatic modulation of light transmittance through thermo-, humidity-, and electrochromic mechanisms.
