Trissolcus japonicus (Hymenoptera: Scelionidae) and Trissolcus plautiae are solitary endoparasitoids in eggs of stink bugs (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae). These two closely related parasitoids differ in their degree of host specificity. With the aid of scanning electron microscopy, we examined the external morphology, distribution, and abundance of the antennal sensilla of sexes of both species to gain insights into the olfactory mechanism in relation to host selection behavior. Seven types of sensilla were recorded in both species: basiconica, trichodea, grooved-peg, sickle-shaped, chaetica, papillary, and campaniformium sensilla. Sexual dimorphism of antennal structures occurred in both species. Male antennae possessed one more flagellomere and a larger number of olfactory sickle-shaped sensilla than female antennae, indicating that sensilla may be involved in mate or host location. There was a peg gland on the fifth antennomere of male antennae. Compared with males, females had a higher number of trichodea sensilla as well as papillary sensilla, which were not found in males. These sensilla might be involved in host recognition and acceptance during the drumming behavior of both species. No qualitative differences were recorded between the species in antennal structure, or sensilla types or topographical arrangement. However, the abundance of key sensilla was significantly different between species. T. plautiae females and males had larger numbers of trichodea sensilla than those of T. japonicus. T. japonicus females possessed fewer and larger sickle-shaped sensilla compared with T. plautiae females. These differences may provide a morphological basis for understanding the process of host habitat location and recognition in these parasitoids.

This study aims to evaluate the effects of supplementing golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata) eggs powder (EP) in the diet as a source of natural carotenoids on survival, pigmentation and antioxidant activity of Blood parrot. A total of 90 fish were divided into three treatment groups with three replicates per treatment. Blood parrot were fed with diets containing 0 (control), 5 % (EP 5 %), and 15 % (EP 15 %) dry powder of golden apple snail egg for 60 days, and nine fish per group were sampled at 20, 40, and 60 days. No differences in survival of the fish among treatments were found throughout the experiment. The body coloration of Blood parrot was enhanced in the skin and caudal fin with increasing content of golden apple snail egg powder in the diet. At the end of the experiment, the carotenoid content in the caudal fin and the number of scale chromatophores of the fish fed dietary with EP were higher (P 0.05) than those of the control group. The EP 15 % treated fishes showed a significant higher (P 0.05) in the activities of SOD after 60 days, but we could not observe significant changes (P 0.05) in CAT activities. Results demonstrated that golden apple snail eggs can be used as a colorant to promote the pigmentation efficacy of Blood parrot.

PMR type of poly(pyrrolone-benzimidazole) copolymers (PPBI) were synthesized by the polycondensation of monoethyl ester of cis-5-norbornene-endo-2,3-dicarboxylic acid (NE), diphenyl-isophthalate (DPIP), diethyl ester of 4,4′-oxydiphthalic acid (ODPE) and 3,3′-diaminobenzidine (DAB) or 3,3′,4,4′-tetraamindiphenyl ether(TAD) in a mixing solution of anhydrous ethyl alcohol and N -methylpyrrolidone (NMP) under different temperature and pressure procedures. The resulting resin solution showed an excellent solubility in polar organic solvents and good stability at room temperature, while the corresponding PPBI molded powder and molded plate could be prepared by undergoing amidation, imidization, cyclization and crosslinking reactions when the reaction temperature would be increased from 150 to 350°C, especially, the crosslinking structure formed by the reverse Dials-Alder reaction at 270-290°C under 2.5-3.5 MPa pressure displayed by the pressure meter. The chemical reactions and properties of the resulting PPBI molded powders and molded plates were studied by means of FT-IR, TGA, DMA methods, and the results indicate that the PPBI materials obtained hold excellent thermal stability and processability, the initial decomposition temperature > 600°C and its T g defined by the peak temperature in tan δ curve from the DMA method is 448°C (DAB) or 423°C (TAD) for PPBI-20 molded plate.

Multi-party exchange protocols are so widely used in electronic commerce that more and more attention is being paid to designing multi-party protocols or algorithms. Multi-party protocols with non-repudiation play an important role in data fair exchange in the Internet. In this paper, we present a new multi-party protocol with off-line semi-trusted third party (STTP). The protocol is very efficient, at most 5|R|message are broadcast.
