Background In the wake of the COVID‐19 pandemic, preliminary research has reported a significant decline in physical activity (PA) and an increase in sedentary behaviour (SB) among typically developed children and adolescents. Limited research has looked at the current situation of PA and SB during this pandemic among children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities (ID). This study investigated the situations about PA and SB among school‐aged children and adolescents with ID on China's mainland during the COVID‐19 outbreak. Methods In total, 837 parents of children and adolescents (ages 6–18 years) with ID from 15 special education schools of Shandong Province in China were recruited through convenience sampling in the study. Parents reported PA and SB among children and adolescents with ID through the Children's Leisure Activities Study Survey‐Chinese version (CLASS‐C) online questionnaires. Results From parents' reports, Chinese children and adolescents with ID during the COVID‐19 pandemic participated in approximately 10 min of moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity, and engaged in approximately 530 min of SB every day. Meanwhile, only 17.4% of children and adolescents with ID were able to achieve the recommendation of 60 min of daily moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity and 76.1% of children and adolescents with ID spent more than 2 h on SB per day. Additionally, the problems of decrease PA and excessive SB were more prominent in older adolescents with ID compared with younger children with ID. Conclusion In China, the low level of PA and high level of SB is particularly evident in children and adolescents with ID during the outbreak of COVID‐19. The great majority of children and adolescents with ID did not meet the recommended amount of PA while undergoing excessive SB under the long‐term home quarantine environment. Therefore, immediate attention and great effort should be made to deal with this severe situation among this vulnerable population in the mainland of China.

Powdery mildew is a global devastating disease that usually leads to great yield losses in wheat production. As a large transcription factor family in the plant kingdom, members of the Ethylene Responsive Factor (ERF) family have received widespread attention for their roles in regulating defense response. Mining genes for resistance breeding is considered as an effective way to control wheat powdery mildew. ERFs involved in powdery mildew response are largely unknown in wheat. Therefore, identification of ERFs in response to powdery mildew will help to understand the mechanism of defense response and provide candidate genes for wheat disease resistance breeding. A series of bioinformatics approaches were employed to isolate the APETALA2 (AP2)/ERF superfamily and the ERF family from the genome of bread wheat Chinese Spring (CS). Transcriptome data were used to screen ERFs involved in powdery mildew response. Subsequently, quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) was performed to investigate the expression patterns of these screened ERFs in vivo. In this study, the AP2/ERF superfamily was isolated from the genome of bread wheat CS, and a total of 96 ERF family members, including 229 ERF sequences in the A, B and D genomes, were identified according to the clustering results and structural characteristics. Based on the analysis of clustering and transcriptome data, 13 pathogen-inducible ERFs with highly sequences similarity to the reported disease resistance-related ERF genes were further screened. Expression patterns of the 13 selected ERFs in susceptible and resistant wheat materials after Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici (Bgt) inoculation were analyzed in vivo. Collectively, our results showed that after Bgt infection, 13 screened ERFs displayed different transcript kinetics, indicating different roles of these ERFs in powdery mildew resistance. The discovered ERFs could be used as candidate genes for wheat disease resistance breeding.

This study aimed to compare the clinical effect between thermal softening PVC double-lumen tube (DLT) and single-lumen tube (SLT) guided by laryngoscope and bronchoscopy in patients with difficult airways.72 patients with chest surgery in need of mono-pulmonary ventilation, aged 20-70 years old, with ASA rating I-III and Arné scoring ≥ 11, were enrolled. Patients were categorized randomly into two groups with 36 patients in each: the D group (DLT was used) and the S group (SLT was used). Bronchoscopy was used for guiding the intubation and aligning in both groups. Laryngoscope would also be used immediately after failure in two trials of intubation. Intubation resistance, intubation success rate, laryngoscopy assist rate, time for intubation, time for alignment, incidence of catheter dislocation, VAS score for post-operative throat pain, and the damage extent of vocal cord were recorded. No significant differences were seen between two the groups in terms of intubation resistance, intubation success rate, laryngoscopy assist rate, time for intubation, VAS score for post-operative throat pain, and the damage extent of vocal cord. However, shorter time for alignment and lower incidence of catheter dislocation were observed in the D group than in the S group (both p0.05).For intubation in patients with difficult airway, the thermal softening DLT was as safe as the SLT, but simpler in alignment and had a lower dislocation incidence. Meanwhile, video laryngoscope could increase the success rate of intubation with either tube.

In this paper, a new robust computational method that applies the geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD) in conjunction with the ray tracing (RT) technique is developed to evaluate the electromagnetic scattering pattern due to a plane wave represented as beam of parallel rays incident on a rough surface of quite arbitrary statistical parameters. The development of the proposed technique is explained in detail taking into consideration the generation of the geometrical model of the rough surface. The Fresnel reflection model is applied under the assumption of arbitrary electrical and optical properties of the rough surface material. Also the polarization of the plane wave primarily incident on the rough surface is taken into consideration. The algorithm developed in the present work accounts for multiple bounces of an incident ray and, hence, it can be considered arbitrary higher-order GTD-RT technique. The accuracy of the obtained results is verified through the comparison with the experimental measurements of the scattering pattern of a light beam incident on rough sheets with specific statistical properties. The numerical results of the present work are concerned with investigating the dependence of the scattering pattern on the surface roughness, refractive index, angle of incidence, and the resolution of the geometric model of the rough surface. Also, it is shown that, for limited resolution of the rough surface model, the accuracy of the calculated scattered field depends on the angle of incidence of the primary beam and the surface roughness.

We report a search for a heavier partner of the recently observed state, denoted as , in the process , based on collision data collected at the center-of-mass energies of , 4.682 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector. The is of interest as it is expected to be a candidate for a hidden-charm and open-strange tetraquark. A partial-reconstruction technique is used to isolate recoil-mass spectra, which are probed for a potential contribution from ( ). We find an excess of ( ) candidates with a significance of , after considering systematic uncertainties, at a mass of . As the data set is limited in size, the upper limits are evaluated at the 90% confidence level on the product of the Born cross sections ( ) and the branching fraction ( ) of , under different assumptions of the mass from 4.120 to 4.140 MeV and of the width from 10 to 50 MeV at the three center-of-mass energies. The upper limits of are found to be at the level of pb at each energy. Larger data samples are needed to confirm the state and clarify its nature in the coming years.

Nano-petal nickel hydroxide was prepared on multilayered modified montmorillonite (M-MMT) using one-step hydrothermal method for the first time. This nano-petal multilayered nanostructure dominated the ion diffusion path to be shorted and the higher charge transport ability, which caused the higher specific capacitance. The results showed that in the three-electrode system, the specific capacitance of the nanocomposite with 4% M-MMT reached 1068 F/g at 1 A/g and the capacity retention rate was 70.2% after 1,000 cycles at 10 A/g, which was much higher than that of pure Ni(OH)

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is an independent risk factor for chronic kidney disease (CKD). However, the role and mechanism of microRNA (miRNA, miR) in AKI-CKD transition are elusive. In this study, a murine model of renal ischemia/reperfusion was established to investigate the repairing effect and mechanism of miR-101a-3p on renal injury. The pathological damage of renal tissue was observed by hematoxylin and eosin and Masson staining. The levels of miR-101, profibrotic cytokines, and epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers were analyzed using Western blotting, real-time polymerase chain reaction, and/or immunofluorescence. MiR-101 overexpression caused the downregulation of α-smooth muscle actin, collagen-1, and vimentin, as well as upregulation of E-cadherin, thereby alleviating the degree of renal tissue damage. MiR-101 overexpression mitigated hypoxic HK-2 cell damage. Collagen, type X, alpha 1 and transforming growth factor β receptor 1 levels were downregulated in hypoxic cells transfected with miR-101 mimic. Our study indicates that miR-101 is an anti-EMT miRNA, which provides a novel therapeutic strategy for AKI-CKD transition.

In this paper, the influence of the dynamic stress concentration in a piezoelectric material with a non-circular hole subjected to a shear wave polarized so that its particle motion and direction of propagation are aligned in a horizontal plane (SH-wave) is investigated. The boundary conditions of the non-circular hole can be mapped into a unit circle by applying complex variables and conformal mapping. The analytical solution of the dynamic stress concentration factor is determined by the unknown mode coefficients obtained by using the boundary conditions. Numerical examples are presented to analyze the influence of the incident wave number, piezoelectric constant of the material, and eccentricity ratio of the hole on the distribution of the dynamic stress concentration factor. The analysis reveals that the distribution of the dynamic stress concentration factor on the incident direction of the SH-wave is significantly different from that on the other side.

Multiferroic Nd/Sm-doped BiFeO3 ceramics synthesized at 700 °C by spark plasma sintering in conjunction with sol-gel precursor powders are investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, dielectric, ferroelectric and magnetic measurements. With the doping content of Nd/Sm beyond 10 mol%, the crystal structure changes from R3c to coexistence of Pbam and R3c. It is also revealed that the grain size for all samples greatly decreases and the dielectric, ferroelectric and magnetic properties are obviously improved with Nd/Sm doping. The optimized remanent polarization are about 1.451 μC/cm2 and 3.448 μC/cm2 for the 10 mol% Nd-doped and 15 mol% Sm-doped BiFeO3 ceramics, respectively. Because of the reduced concentration of oxygen vacancies, the leakage current density of Nd/Sm-doped ceramics decreases more than two orders of magnitude compared to the pure BiFeO3 sample. The maximum remanent magnetization for the Sm-doped ceramics is approximately 0.279 emu/g, which is higher than that for the Nd-doped samples (0.263 emu/g).

The interannual variability of wintertime North American surface temperature extremes and its generation and maintenance are analyzed in this study. The leading mode of the temperature extreme anomalies, revealed by empirical orthogonal function (EOF) analyses of December–February mean temperature extreme indices over North America, is characterized by an anomalous center of action over western-central Canada. In association with the leading mode of temperature extreme variability, the large-scale atmospheric circulation features an anomalous Pacific–North American (PNA)-like pattern from the preceding fall to winter, which has important implications for seasonal prediction of North American temperature extremes. A positive PNA pattern leads to more warm and fewer cold extremes over western-central Canada. The anomalous circulation over the PNA sector drives thermal advection that contributes to temperature anomalies over North America, as well as a Pacific decadal oscillation (PDO)-like sea surface temperature (SST) anomaly pattern in the midlatitude North Pacific. The PNA-like circulation anomaly tends to be supported by SST warming in the tropical central-eastern Pacific and a positive synoptic-scale eddy vorticity forcing feedback on the large-scale circulation over the PNA sector. The leading extreme mode–associated atmospheric circulation patterns obtained from the observational and reanalysis data, together with the anomalous SST and synoptic eddy activities, are reasonably well simulated in most CMIP5 models and in the multimodel mean. For most models considered, the simulated patterns of atmospheric circulation, SST, and synoptic eddy activities have lower spatial variances than the corresponding observational and reanalysis patterns over the PNA sector, especially over the North Pacific.

Huperzia serrate is a known medicinal plant that produces the Lycopodium alkaloid Huperzine A (HupA). It has been used to treat such diseases as contusions, swellings, and pain since the year of 739. Chemical structure analyses show that HupA exists as two stereoisomers, (−)-HupA and (+)-HupA. The review was aimed to summarize the recent literature data about the biological characteristics, natural sources, synthetic origins, and future prospects in order to provide enhanced understanding of the properties of Huperzine A, and to supply a fundamental framework for the future studies of H. serrata.

We report the experimental results of the commissioning phase in the 10 PW laser beamline of Shanghai Superintense Ultrafast Laser Facility (SULF). The peak power reaches 2.4 PW on target without the last amplifying during the experiment. The laser energy of 72\pm 9 J is directed to a focal spot of ~6 {\mu}m diameter (FWHM) in 30 fs pulse duration, yielding a focused peak intensity around 2.0 \times 10^{21} W/cm^2. First laser-proton acceleration experiment is performed using plain copper and plastic targets. High-energy proton beams with maximum cut-off energy up to 62.5 MeV are achieved using copper foils at the optimum target thickness of 4 {\mu}m via target normal sheath acceleration (TNSA). For plastic targets of tens of nanometers thick, the proton cut-off energy is approximately 20 MeV, showing ring-like or filamented density distributions. These experimental results reflect the capabilities of the SULF-10 PW beamline, e.g., both ultrahigh intensity and relatively good beam contrast. Further optimization for these key parameters is underway, where peak laser intensities of 10^{22}-10^{23} W/cm^2 are anticipated to support various experiments on extreme field physics., Comment: 20 pages, 8 figures, regular article, This article has been submitted to "High Power Laser Science and Engineering"

OBJECTIVE: To assess the activation function of specific tumor polypeptide for dendritic cell vaccine on lymphocytes proliferation, production of cytokines and killing activity in vitro by using dendritic cells as antigen presenting vector. METHODS: Peripheral blood dendritic cells (DC) and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) were isolated and cultured by adherent culture method; CCK-8 method was used to assess the proliferation function of lymphocytes and the killing function of lymphocytes to tumor cells; enzyme-linked immunospot assay method was used to evaluate the secretion function of cytokines. The experiment was divided into tumor polypeptide group (peptide with DC-CIK), DC-CIK group and CIK group. RESULTS: With presence of interleukin-2 (IL-2) in the culture system, the lymphocyte proliferation of the three groups was obvious. The absorbance at 450 nm of tumor polypeptide group was significantly higher than that of CIK group at the time points day 4 and day 6 (day 4: Z=-3.79, P < 0.001; day 6: Z =-2.95, P < 0.01). The absorbance at 450 nm of group tumor polypeptide was significantly higher than that of DC-CIK group on day 4 (Z=-2.02, P < 0.05). Without IL-2 in the culture system, lymphocytes proliferated slowly in all the three groups, and there was no significant difference in 450 nm absorbance at each time point. The levels of IL-4 (Z=-2.61, P < 0.01), granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulation factor (GM-CSF, Z=-3.85, P < 0.001), interferon- γ (IFN- γ, Z=-3.56, P < 0.001) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-ɑ, Z=-3.40, P < 0.001) of tumor polypeptide group were higher than those of CIK group. There was no significant difference in the production of cytokines except IL-4 (Z=-2.15, P < 0.05) when tumor polypeptide group was compared with DC-CIK group. The production of IFN-γ (Z=-2.44, P < 0.05), TNF-ɑ (Z=-2.26, P < 0.05) and GM-CSF (Z=-3.73, P < 0.001) in DC-CIK group were higher than those of CIK group. Although there was no significant difference in killing activity between tumor polypeptide group, DC-CIK group and CIK group at hour 18 and hour 24, and the killing activity of tumor polypeptide group was higher than that of the other two groups. CONCLUSION: Tumor peptide combined with dendritic cells can improve the proliferation activity of CIK cells in vitro, and increase the secretion of several cytokines.

Using data samples with a total integrated luminosity of $20.1~\rm fb^{-1}$ collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the cross section of the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow \pi^+\pi^-\psi(3686)$ is measured at center-of-mass energies between 4.0076 and 4.6984 GeV. The measured cross section is consistent with previous results, but with much improved precision. A fit to the measured energy-dependent cross section, which includes three Breit-Wigner functions and a non-resonant contribution, confirms the existence of the charmonium-like states $Y(4220)$, $Y(4390)$, and $Y(4660)$. This is the first observation of the $Y(4660)$ at the BESIII experiment.

We report a measurement of the D^{0} and D^{+} lifetimes using D^{0}→K^{-}π^{+} and D^{+}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{+} decays reconstructed in e^{+}e^{-}→cc[over ¯] data recorded by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The data, collected at center-of-mass energies at or near the ϒ(4S) resonance, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 72 fb^{-1}. The results, τ(D^{0})=410.5±1.1(stat)±0.8(syst) fs and τ(D^{+})=1030.4±4.7(stat)±3.1(syst) fs, are the most precise to date and are consistent with previous determinations.
