Hepatic alveolar echinococcosis (HAE) is caused by the metacestode of Echinococcus multilocularis, which shows characteristics of malignant tumors with high mortality. However, traditional diagnostic imaging methods are still not sufficient for the recognition of HAE microlesions in the early stages. Near-infrared-II (900–1700 nm, NIR-II) fluorescence microscopic imaging (NIR-II-FMI) has shown great potential for biomedical detection. A novel type of negative target imaging method based on NIR-II-FMI with the assistance of indocyanine green (ICG) was explored. Then, NIR-II-FMI was applied to the early detection of HAE for the first time. The negative targeting NIR-II fluorescence imaging of HAE-infected mice at different stages with the assistance of ICG under 808 nm of laser irradiation was obtained. Especially, HAE microlesions at the early stage were detected clearly. Moreover, clear intrahepatic angiography was achieved under the same NIR-II-FMI system.

Oily sludge as highly hazardous solid waste poses a significant threat to human beings and the environment, urging the development of efficient and cost-effective treatment technologies while the bioremediation approach through microbial degradation holds great potential. In this study, a salt-tolerant and highly efficient petroleum hydrocarbon degrading strain SD was isolated from oily sludge and identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The growth conditions and crude oil degradation performance of strain SD were characterized; the optimum growth temperature range was 30-35 oC and the salinity tolerance was up to 8%. The strain was able to rapidly grow and reproduce with petroleum hydrocarbon as the sole carbon source, and to metabolize biosurfactant rhamnolipid, prompting emulsification and dispersion of crude oil, and further oil degradation. For the crude oil with an initial dosage of 2%, the degradation rate of petroleum hydrocarbons reached 93.5% within 60 days, indicating a high degradation efficiency. Through the bioremediation experiment of oily sludge, it was found that for oily sludge with oil content of 4.25%, the degradation rate of petroleum hydrocarbons reached 92.01% within 40 days. The results demonstrated great potential for Pseudomonas aeruginosa SD towards industrial application in bioremediation of oily sludge.

At present, sequence-based and graph-based models are two of popular used molecular generative models. In this study, we introduce a general-purposed, fragment-based, hierarchical molecular representation named t-SMILES (tree-based SMILES) which describes molecules using a SMILES-type string obtained by doing breadth first search (BFS) on full binary molecular tree formed from fragmented molecular graph. The proposed t-SMILES combines the advantages of graph model paying more attention to molecular topology structure and language model possessing powerful learning ability. Experiments with feature tree rooted JTVAE and chemical reaction-based BRICS molecular decomposing algorithms using sequence-based autoregressive generation models on three popular molecule datasets including Zinc, QM9 and ChEMBL datasets indicate that t-SMILES based models significantly outperform previously proposed fragment-based models and being competitive with classical SMILES based and graph-based approaches. Most importantly, we proposed a new perspective for fragment based molecular designing. Hence, SOTA powerful sequence-based solutions could be easily applied for fragment based molecular tasks.

ObjectiveThe aim of the study was to establish and study an intrahepatic portal vein infection hepatic alveolar echinococcosis (HAE) C57 mouse model and provide a theoretical basis for clinical research on HAE.MethodsC57 mice were used to establish the HAE mouse model. The location, size, morphology, appearance, and pathological changes in liver lesions in different groups of mice were characterized using ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and haematoxylin and eosin staining.ResultsThe mortality rate of the C57 mice was 20%, and the success rate of infection was 75%. The abdominal ultrasound images and MRIs clearly indicated the location, size, shape, and appearance of the liver lesions and the relationship between the lesions and the adjacent organs. The size, morphology, and signal of the livers in the control group were normal. The pathological results of the experimental group indicated a hepatic vesicular acinar cyst, while those of the control group exhibited normal livers.ConclusionThe intrahepatic portal vein infection HAE mouse model was successfully established.

The expression of GPR84 in bone marrow-derived monocytes/macrophages (BMMs) can inhibit osteoclast formation; however, its role in bone metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC) is still unknown. To investigate the effects of GPR84 on bone metastasis of CRC, the murine CRC cell line MC-38 was injected into tibial bone marrow. We found that the expression of GPR84 in BMMs was gradually downregulated during bone metastasis of CRC, and the activation of GPR84 significantly prevented osteoclastogenesis in the tumor microenvironment. Mechanistically, the MAPK pathway mediated the effects of GPR84 on osteoclast formation. Moreover, we found that IL-11 at least partly inhibited the expression of GPR84 in the tumor microenvironment through the inactivation of STAT1. Additionally, activation of GPR84 could prevent osteolysis during bone metastasis of CRC. Our results suggest that CRC cells downregulate the expression of GPR84 in BMMs to promote osteoclastogenesis in an IL-11-dependent manner. Thus, GPR84 could be a potential therapeutic target to attenuate bone destruction induced by CRC metastasis.

Introduction: In comparison with Western cultures, the closed management system makes it difficult to implement family-centered nursing in many intensive care unit (ICU) in China. There are differences in cultural cognition and social environment between China and the West. The purpose of this study was to explore the experience and needs of critically ill patients and their relatives from a Chinese cultural perspective. Method: This was a qualitative study using semistructured interviews conducted in a 26-bed integrated ICU at a Tertiary Grade A comprehensive hospital in Nantong, China. The participants included patients admitted in the ICU and their relatives. We used Colaizzi’s seven-step procedure to analyze interview data. Findings: A total of 15 participants were recruited. Main categories within the patient perspective were variety of feelings, staff assistance required, and expectations for relatives. Patient opinions differed about the feelings of hospitalization and whether they needed the help of staff and relatives. The main categories from the relatives’ perspective were life is disrupted, information needs, and emotional needs. Relatives of patients in the ICU experienced a lot of physical and mental pressure. The lack of timely understanding of the patient’s condition and needs made them feel anxious. Conclusion: The closed management system currently used in China limits contact between ICU patients and their relatives, increasing their physical and emotional discomfort. Hospitals in China should consider updating to a more open visiting policy based on current guidelines for family-centered care. Such policies enable staff to continue providing quality care for their patients while addressing patient and family needs.

The rapid economic and societal development have led to unprecedented energy demand and consumption resulting in the harmful emission of pollutants. Hence, the conversion of greenhouse gases into valuable chemicals and fuels has become an urgent challenge for the scientific community. In recent decades, perovskite-type mixed oxide-based catalysts have attracted significant attention as efficient CO2 conversion catalysts due to the characteristics of both reversible oxygen storage capacity and stable structure compared to traditional oxide-supported catalysts. In this review, we hand over a comprehensive overview of the research for CO2 conversion by these emerging perovskite-type mixed oxide-based catalysts. Three main CO2 conversions, namely reverse water gas shift reaction, CO2 methanation, and CO2 reforming of methane have been introduced over perovskite-type mixed oxide-based catalysts and their reaction mechanisms. Different approaches for promoting activity and resisting carbon deposition have also been discussed, involving increased oxygen vacancies, enhanced dispersion of active metal, and fine-tuning strong metal-support interactions. Finally, the current challenges are mooted, and we have proposed future research prospects in this field to inspire more sensational breakthroughs in the material and environment fields.

A cross-flow wind turbine has a high torque coefficient at a low tip speed ratio; therefore, it is a good candidate for a self-starting turbine. This study aims to investigate the best configuration between guide vanes and cross-flow vertical axis wind turbine. The experiment test was carried out to determine the turbine with the highest power coefficient. The cross-flow turbine has 14, 18, and 22 blades with using 6,10 and 14 blades of guide vane (GV) was developed in this study, employing 15°, 25°, 35°, 45°, 55°, 65°, and 75° of tilt angles in fifth different wind speed conditions 4 m/s, 6 m/s, 7.5 m/s, 9.20 m/s, and 11 m/s. The turbine has 22 blades with 14 GV blades at 55° of tilt angle blades producing more remarkable turbine performance improvement than other blades. The highest power coefficient (CP) of cross-flow using 14 GV blades at 55° was 0.0162 at 0.289 TSR, which increased around 59% of the turbine's performance using GV.

To evaluate the effect of different endodontic sealers (epoxy resin-based and bioceramic-based) and the time of post-cementation on the bond strength of a fiber post cemented with resin cement.Forty human premolars were instrumented and divided into 4 groups. According to the type of sealer and the time of post-cementation: AH-IM (AH Plus, post-cemented immediately after root canal treatment), SP-IM (iRoot SP, post-cemented immediately after root canal treatment), AH-OW (AH Plus, post-cementation after one week), and SP-OW (iRoot SP, post-cementation after one week). In each group, the samples were submitted to push-out test, and failure mode was assessed. Levene's test, one-way ANOVA, and Kruskal-Wallis analysis were applied for statistical analysis (α = 5%).The highest mean push-out bond strength was obtained from the SP-IM group in the apical part (10.45 ± 5.15MPa), while the lowest was observed in samples from the AH-OW group in the middle part (2.63 ± 1.54 MPa). One-way ANOVA showed that within the same root region, the time of post-cementation had a negative influence on the bonding strength in the SP groups in the middle and apical portion (P0.05), however, when comparing the effect of type of sealers on bonding strength between the OW groups or IM groups within the same root region, no significant difference was observed regardless of the post cementation time (P0.05).The bond strength of the fiber post was higher when the post was cemented immediately after root canal treatment when the bioceramic sealer was applied.The correct choice of an endodontic sealer and the proper time of post-cementation may help to obtain the best quality of post-and-core restoration.

Given the rising domestic demand and increasing global prices of corn and soybean, China is looking for alternatives for these imports to produce animal fodder. Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) has great potential as a new forage source, due to abundant proteins, phenols and flavonoids in its leaves. However, few studies have evaluated the mechanism of protein synthesis in kenaf leaves. In the current work, compared with kenaf material “L332,” the percentage of crude protein content in leaves of material “Q303” increased by 6.13%; combined with transcriptome and proteome data, the kenaf samples were systematically studied to obtain mRNA-protein correlation. Then, the genes/proteins related to protein synthesis in the kenaf leaves were obtained. Moreover, this work detected mRNA expression of 20 differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Meanwhile, 20 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) related to protein synthesis were performed parallel reaction monitoring. Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase (FBP), nitrite reductase (NirA), prolyl tRNA synthase (PARS) and glycine dehydrogenase (GLDC) presented increased mRNA and protein levels within kenaf leaves with high protein content. Based on the obtained findings, FBP, NirA, PARS, and GLDC genes may exert a vital function in the protein synthesis of kenaf leaves. The results provide a new idea for further studying the potential genes affecting the quality trait of protein content in kenaf leaves and provide gene resources and a theoretical foundation for further cultivating high protein kenaf varieties.

Background Chemoattractant is critical to recruitment of osteoclast precursors and stimulates tumor bone metastasis. However, the role of chemoattractant in bone metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC) is still unclear. Methods Histochemistry analysis and TRAP staining were utilized to detect the bone resorption and activation of osteoclasts (OCs) after administration of CCL7 neutralizing antibody or CCR1 siRNA. qRT-PCR analysis and ELISA assay were performed to detect the mRNA level and protein level of chemoattractant. BrdU assay and Tunel assay were used to detect the proliferation and apoptosis of osteoclast precursors (OCPs). The migration of OCPs was detected by Transwell assay. Western blots assay was performed to examine the protein levels of pathways regulating the expression of CCL7 or CCR1. Results OCPs-derived CCL7 was significantly upregulated in bone marrow after bone metastasis of CRC. Blockage of CCL7 efficiently prevented bone resorption. Administration of CCL7 promoted the migration of OCPs. Lactate promoted the expression of CCL7 through JNK pathway. In addition, CCR1 was the most important receptor of CCL7. Conclusion Our study indicates the essential role of CCL7-CCR1 signaling for recruitment of OCPs in early bone metastasis of CRC. Targeting CCL7 or CCR1 could restore the bone volume, which could be a potential therapeutical target.

While it has long been noted that Chinese Buddhist translations contain many new lexical and syntactic elements that were created due to the contact between Indic and Chinese languages during the translation process, few attempts have been made to systematically explore the major mechanisms of such contact-induced creations. This paper examines six mechanisms of contact-induced lexical creations and three mechanisms of contact-induced syntactic creations in Chinese Buddhist translations. All of these mechanisms have parallels in non-Sinitic language contacts. The parallels demonstrate that Chinese Buddhist translations and non-Sinitic language contacts show striking similarities in the ways in which they brought about new lexical and syntactic elements.

The aim of the study was to evaluate a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay for the ability to diagnose tuberculosis directly from clinical samples rapidly.LAMP assays were performed using previously reported primer sets to amplify three specific Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) gene targets, hspX, gyrB, and IS6110. Quantitated DNA from strain H37Rv were detected for assessment of analytical sensitivity; specificity was evaluated by testing eight species of non-tuberculosis Mycobacterium (NTM) and four unrelated bacterial species. Sputum samples from 68 pulmonary tuberculosis patients and a control group consisting of 45 lung cancer patients and 20 healthy controls were analyzed using LAMP assays, and then compared with smear, culture and quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) methods.All three LAMP assays showed 100% specificity for MTB when tested against NTM and other bacterial species. The gyrB-LAMP assay was able to detect 60 cfu/ml of H37Rv suspension within 1 h, similar to qRT-PCR, but 10 times more sensitive than the hspX-LAMP and IS6110-LAMP assays. In clinical samples, when qRT-PCR was used as the reference method, the sensitivity of the three LAMP assays targeting hspX, gyrB, and IS6110 genes was 94.6, 98.2 and 92.9%, respectively.LAMP is more sensitive than smear microscopy and close to qRT-PCR in sensitivity for the detection of MTB. LAMP has comparable specificity to qRT-PCR but was more rapid and convenient.

This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of Ag nanoparticle-decorated reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanocomposites (Ag-RGO), which were obtained via a facile, green and efficient one-pot hydrothermal method. TEM results showed that the silver nanoparticles (20-50 nm) were uniformly attached onto RGO sheets with C/O ratio of 6.4 and 80% of sp2 carbon, obtained from XPS analysis. Compared with GO and RGO, the prepared Ag-RGO composites possessed significant antibacterial property; the minimum inhibitory concentration of Ag-RGO was just 31.25 μg/mL against Gram-positive bacteria S. aureus and Gram-negative bacteria E. coli. Particularly, the Ag-RGO nanocomposites released more Ag+ in acidic condition, promoting the produce of reactive oxygen species, which are acknowledged as disruption to the membrane integrity of the bacteria. Moreover, the Ag-RGO nanocomposites effectively dispersed and eliminated the maturely formed biofilm, showing superior advantages in responding to public health threats posed by biofilm-related infections.

Background Bone metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC) often indicates a poor prognosis. Osteolysis can be observed in metastatic sites, implying an aberrant activation of osteoclasts. However, how osteoclastogenesis is regulated in metastatic microenvironment caused by colorectal cancer is still unclear. Methods In this study, mice bone metastatic model of CRC was established through injection of MC-38 or CT-26 cells. BrdU assays showed primary CD115 ( +) osteoclast precursors (OCPs) proliferated at the first 2 weeks. Transcriptomic profiling was performed to identify differentially expressing genes and pathways in OCPs indirectly co-cultured with CRC cells Results The expression of IL4Rα was found to be significantly upregulated in OCPs stimulated by tumor conditioned medium (CM). Further investigation indicated that IL-4 signaling regulated proliferation of OPCs through interacting with type I IL4 receptor, and neutrophils were the main source of IL-4 in bone marrow. The proliferation of OCPs can be inhibited in IL4 deficiency mice. In addition, ERK pathway was activated by IL4/IL4R signaling. Ravoxertinib, an ERK antagonists, could significantly prevent bone destruction through inhibiting the proliferation of OCPs. Conclusion Our study indicates the essential role of IL4/IL4R signaling for the proliferation of OCPs in early metastasis of CRC predominantly through activating ERK pathway, which remarkedly impacts the number of osteoclasts in later stage and leads to osteolytic lesions. Moreover, Ravoxertinib could be a new therapeutical target for bone metastasis of CRC.

The output beam quality of high-power laser systems is limited by laser-induced thermal aberration of fused silica reflective optics. A numerical model for the simulation of thermal aberration was proposed and verified by the experimental results. Simulations on the thermal aberration of fused silica optics under 3~10 kW laser irradiation with laser beam diameters of 5 mm ~ 45 mm were carried out with the verified model. The simulation results showed that the peak-valley (PV) value of thermal aberration increases with increasing incident laser power under the same incident laser spot size and reduces with increasing incident laser spot size under the same incident laser power. There are the same PV values of thermal aberration under different incident power or power densities. An analytic formula of thermal aberration PV as a function of incident laser power and beam spot size was proposed. The analytic results are in good agreement with the simulations. With these conclusions, the thermal aberration of fused silica optics under high incident power and power density can be evaluated by that under low incident power and power density. It is helpful for the design of high-power laser systems to obtain reasonable output beam quality.

作为流域内水资源调蓄和调度的中枢，太湖的出、入湖水量格局随着一系列工程、非工程措施的实施已然改变.基于1986-2017年近30年的环湖出、入湖水量资料，采用Mann-Kendall趋势检验法、突变检验法和滑动t检验法，对环湖及地区出、入湖水量变化进行了定性、定量研究，并讨论了产生变化的可能原因.结果表明：1986-2017年，环湖年入湖水量增加趋势显著，在20世纪90年代后期突变增加，年出湖水量增加趋势显著，在21世纪初后期突变增加；多年平均年入湖总量突变后较突变前增加了29.66亿m3，多年平均年出湖总量增加了18.63亿m3；江苏入湖水量增长率、增长贡献率分别为53%和84%，出湖水量增长率、增长贡献率分别为31%和48%；浙江入湖水量增长率、增长贡献率无明显改变，出湖水量增长率、增长贡献率分别为26%和31%；望虞河出入湖增长率最大，但增长贡献率不大；太浦河出湖增长率、增长贡献率无明显变化；出、入湖水量的变化抬升了太湖年平均水位和年最低水位，对年最高水位影响较小；水利工程调度对出、入湖水量的影响逐渐占据主导作用.

Exogenously administered B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) has been shown to provide cardioprotection against various heart diseases. However, the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. This study explores whether BNP exerts its cardioprotection against hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) injury under high glucose/high fat (HG/HF) conditions in cardiac H9c2 cells and uncovers the underlying mechanisms. Our data revealed that BNP significantly increased the cell viability and decreased the release of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase (CK), with a maximal effect at the BNP concentration of 10−7 mol/L. In addition, by analyzing the activation of cleaved caspase-3 and by Annexin V-FITC/PI staining, we showed that BNP attenuated H/R-induced cell apoptosis in HG/HF conditions. Western blot analysis showed enhanced phosphorylation of protein kinase RNA (PKR)-like endoplastmic reticulum (ER) kinase (PERK) and eukaryotic initiation factor 2α (eIF2α)(one of the three main signaling pathways in endoplastmic reticulum (ER) stress), and increased expression of GRP78 and CHOP proteins (ER stress-related proteins) in H9c2 cells which underwent H/R in HG/HF conditions. Treatment with BNP or 8-Br-cGMP (an analog of cGMP) reversed this activation. However, this effect was significantly weakened by KT-5823, a selective cGMP-dependent protein kinase G (PKG) inhibitor. In addition, similar to BNP, treatment with a specific inhibitor of ER stress tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) protected the cells against H/R injury exposed to HG/HF conditions. In conclusion, these findings demonstrated that BNP effectively protected cells against H/R injury under HG/HF conditions by inhibiting the ER stress via activation of the cGMP-PKG signaling pathway.

In order to extend the life of wireless sensor networks and improve the stability of wireless sensor networks, a cluster head election mechanism based on energy center of gravity and regional segmentation is proposed. The sensor network monitoring area was divided into finite subregions, and the common nodes of each subregion competed for cluster heads in their own regions, which made the distribution of cluster heads in the whole network more uniform. Each sub-region node is selected for the cluster head based on two factors: energy center and communication distance. The cluster head is responsible for receiving the data perceived by ordinary nodes in the region, and the received information is fused and compressed and transmitted to the base station, thus solving the problems of uneven cluster head distribution and unbalanced node energy loss in the clustering algorithm. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional LEACH clustering algorithm and the improved LEACH-M algorithm, the new algorithm can achieve the purpose of balancing the energy loss of each node, effectively reduce the overall energy loss of the sensor network, and thus extend the network life cycle.

In recent years, the car-sharing in China have grown rapidly, covering the first-and second-tier cities of the country in just a few years. However, car-sharing still faces many problems under big data, among which the problem of poor siting of shared car parking places is most acute. Taking Chengdu City as an example, this paper uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the grid median model to optimize the parking location of the shared cars.

Cancer is one of the biggest killers threat to human life and health and is still difficult to treat mainly due to the lack of targeted drug delivery stages and limitations associated with delivering drugs to targeted cancer tissues. In this paper, we propose a decision feedback differential detection (DF-DD) solution for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system with angle differential quadrature amplitude modulation (ADQAM) scheme to reduce the inter-subcarrier interference (ICI) emerged in high mobility environments. Compared to the conventional differential detection (CDD), the proposed scheme can improve the system performance. A detailed performance investigation is made among the ADQAM-OFDM, DAPSK-OFDM, and coherent QAM-OFDM in addtive white Gaussian noise channels, multipath channels, and time-varying channels. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is about 3 dB better than the conventional differential detection in high mobility environments. It is further suggested that ADQAM-OFDM technology is more suitable for high mobility environments.

RRA heat treatment has improved the strength and corrosion resistance of AA7075 composite. The conditions of RRA heat treatment are optimized. In this paper, the optimized heat treatment parameters were found by performing different analyzes. Corrosion resistance and Strength of AA7075 composite were evaluated from the tensile test, hardness test, EDS, and SEM. From the results, we concluded that the parameters which improved the strength and corrosion resistance of AA7075 composite include preaging at 120 °C for 24 h, retrogression at 210 °C for 8 min, and reaging at 120 °C for 24 h.

Differential amplitude phase shift keying (DAPSK) is proposed to use in a high-speed mobile environment, for it can demodulate the signal without the channel estimation. In this paper, a quasi-coherent detector for OFDM-DAPSK based on low-dimensional Kalman is proposed to improve system performance. In the proposed method, we modeled the time-varying channel as an autoregressive (AR) process, and a low-dimensional Kalman filter based on pilots was used to estimate the channel state information (CSI) on each subcarrier. Then the estimated CSI was employed to improve the performance of OFDM-DAPSK by constructing a quasi-coherent detection. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has obvious advantages compared with the other detection algorithms in a high-speed mobile environment. Complexity analysis shows that it can improve the transmission efficiency in high-speed mobile environments by adding less complexity.

The dependence of the spectral broadening characteristics on the number of longitudinal modes is studied experimentally in a bi-directional pumping fiber amplifier. It is found that the linewidth of the amplifier decreases with reducing the longitudinal mode number of the seed source. In this letter, we present a 68 pm-linewidth kilowatt-level fiber laser using a simple master oscillator power amplifier structure. Meanwhile, we theoretically analyze the spectral broadening characteristics of the seeds with different longitudinal mode numbers. The conclusions are in agreement with the experimental results. This provides a simple and efficient method for obtaining the high power narrow linewidth fiber laser used in spectral beam combining.
