Background: Robot-assisted arm training is generally delivered in the robot-like manner of planar or mechanical 3-dimensional movements. It remains unclear whether integrating upper extremity (UE) natural coordinated patterns into a robotic exoskeleton can improve outcomes. The study aimed to compare conventional therapist-mediated training to the practice of human-like gross movements derived from 5 typical UE functional activities managed with exoskeletal assistance as needed for patients after stroke. Methods: In this randomized, single-blind, noninferiority trial, patients with moderate-to-severe UE motor impairment due to subacute stroke were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive 20 sessions of 45-minute exoskeleton-assisted anthropomorphic movement training or conventional therapy. Treatment allocation was masked from independent assessors, but not from patients or investigators. The primary outcome was the change in the Fugl-Meyer Assessment for Upper Extremity from baseline to 4 weeks against a prespecified noninferiority margin of 4 points. Superiority would be tested if noninferiority was demonstrated. Post hoc subgroup analyses of baseline characteristics were performed for the primary outcome. Results: Between June 2020 and August 2021, totally 80 inpatients (67 [83.8%] males; age, 51.9±9.9 years; days since stroke onset, 54.6±38.0) were enrolled, randomly assigned to the intervention, and included in the intention-to-treat analysis. The mean Fugl-Meyer Assessment for Upper Extremity change in exoskeleton-assisted anthropomorphic movement training (14.73 points; [95% CI, 11.43–18.02]) was higher than that of conventional therapy (9.90 points; [95% CI, 8.15–11.65]) at 4 weeks (adjusted difference, 4.51 points [95% CI, 1.13–7.90]). Moreover, post hoc analysis favored the patient subgroup (Fugl-Meyer Assessment for Upper Extremity score, 23–38 points) with moderately severe motor impairment. Conclusions: Exoskeleton-assisted anthropomorphic movement training appears to be effective for patients with subacute stroke through repetitive practice of human-like movements. Although the results indicate a positive sign for exoskeleton-assisted anthropomorphic movement training, further investigations into the long-term effects and paradigm optimization are warranted. PurposeSoftware has become increasingly important in business. However, the value of aggregate in-house and packaged software investments and the influence of an industry's software investment opportunities (SIOs) are poorly understood in the literature. This study addresses this research gap and proposes that an industry's SIOs play an essential role in the economic impacts of industry in-house and packaged software investments.Design/methodology/approachA model of the economic impacts of in-house and packaged software investments at the industry level under different SIOs is developed and empirically tested based on a panel dataset of private industries in the USA between 1998 and 2020.FindingsThe results show that with the increase in the number of SIOs in an industry, the economic performance of in-house software investments increases, while that of packaged software investments decreases.Originality/valueBy highlighting the role of SIOs in moderating the economic performance of in-house and packaged software, this study shows the critical role of the information technology (IT) environment in understanding software's economic value.

Os acetabuli is a bone fragment with unknown origin and isolated at the acetabular rim that may be associated with cam-type femoroacetabular impingement. If this bone fragment is too large and threatens the stability of the hip joint after resection, fixation would be recommended. However, conventional rigid fixation with metal screws has some disadvantages. We describe an arthroscopic suture fixation of the Os acetabulum with absorbable anchors penetrating the bone fragment and secured by tying knots in a double-pulley fashion simultaneously. This technique provides a new feasible solution for the fixation of Os acetabuli, avoiding any metal implants and potential damage to the joint.

The bond breaking of energetic materials under the action of temperature and pressure has always been a key step in understanding the explosive mechanism of energetic materials. In this work, we use the mean square shift of atoms and the theoretical bond breaking position of chemical bonds to give the bond breaking temperature of each chemical bond of insensitive high-energy energetic materials, 1,1-diamino-2,2-dinitroethylene (α-FOX-7) and 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (TATB), at 0 and 30 GPa. The calculation results show that the bond breaking sequence of α-FOX-7 and TATB in the selected pressure range is N–H, N–O, C–NO2, and C–NH2. At the same time, the difference in the sensitivity between α-FOX-7 and TATB was discussed through the analysis of partial chemical bond breaking temperature.

We compared the photoluminescence (PL) properties of AlInAsSb digital alloy samples with different periods grown on GaSb (001) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Temperature-dependent S-shape behavior is observed and explained using a thermally activated redistribution model within a Gaussian distribution of localized states. There are two different mechanisms for the origin of the PL intensity quenching for the AlInAsSb digital alloy. The high-temperature activation energy E 1 is positively correlated with the interface thickness, whereas the low-temperature activation energy E 2 is negatively correlated with the interface thickness. A quantitative high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM) study shows that the interface quality improves as the interface thickness increases. Our results confirm that E 1 comes from carrier trapping at a state in the InSb interface layer, while E 2 originates from the exciton binding energy due to the roughness of the AlAs interface layer.

The subduction model of the Neo-Tethys during the Early Cretaceous has always been a controversial topic, and the scarcity of Early Cretaceous magmatic rocks in the southern part of the Gangdese batholith is the main cause of this debate. To address this issue, this article presents new zircon U–Pb chronology, zircon Hf isotope, whole-rock geochemistry and Sr–Nd isotope data for the Early Cretaceous quartz diorite dykes with adakite affinity in Liuqiong, Gongga. Zircon U–Pb dating of three samples yielded ages of c. 141–137 Ma, indicating that the Liuqiong quartz diorite was emplaced in the Early Cretaceous. The whole-rock geochemical analysis shows that the Liuqiong quartz diorite is enriched in large-ion lithophile elements (LILEs) and light rare-earth elements (LREEs) and is depleted in high-field-strength elements (HFSEs), which are related to slab subduction. Additionally, the Liuqiong quartz diorite has high SiO2, Al2O3 and Sr contents, high Sr/Y ratios and low heavy rare-earth element (HREE) and Y contents, which are compatible with typical adakite signatures. The initial 87Sr/86Sr values of the Liuqiong adakite range from 0.705617 to 0.705853, and the whole-rock ϵNd(t) values vary between +5.78 and +6.24. The zircon ϵHf(t) values vary from +11.5 to +16.4. Our results show that the Liuqiong adakite magma was derived from partial melting of the Neo-Tethyan oceanic plate (mid-ocean ridge basalt (MORB) + sediment + fluid), with some degree of subsequent peridotite interaction within the overlying mantle wedge. Combining regional data, we favour the interpretation that the Neo-Tethyan oceanic crust was subducted at a low angle beneath the Gangdese during the Early Cretaceous.

PurposeNowadays, an increasing number of firms choose to develop proprietary software, instead of buying packaged software. What factors will affect different types of software investments? According to the environment-strategy alignment research, environment should be an influential factor. However, environment's role has received scarce attention in the literature. The authors' study addresses this research gap by investigating how industry environment affects different types of software investments. The study identifies three types of software investments (software insourcing, outsourcing, and buying) and examines how the characteristics of the industry environment (including industry munificence, dynamism, and concentration) influence each software investment.Design/methodology/approachThe generalized least squares (GLS) model and the ordinary least squares with panel-corrected standard errors (OLS-PCSE) model are applied to test the hypotheses, based on industry-level panel data from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).FindingsThe analysis shows that industry munificence, dynamism, and concentration have different impacts on software insourcing, outsourcing, and buying, respectively.Originality/valueThis study classifies software investment into three types – software insourcing, outsourcing, and buying and investigates how the industry environment affects them. The findings suggest that research should distinguish among software insourcing, outsourcing, and buying due to their different characteristics.

The structural, electronic and vibrational properties of solid carbon dioxide phases (I, II, III, and IV) under high pressure are studied using first-principles calculations. The calculated structural parameters are in good agreement with the experimental values. The third-order Birch-Murnaghan equation of state is fitted, and the corresponding parameters are obtained. We obtained the phase boundary points of each phase and plotted the phase diagram of solid carbon dioxide. The influence of pressure on the band structure and density of states is studied. The vibrational properties of the four phases of carbon dioxide were studied in detail, and the infrared and Raman spectra of the four phases were obtained. It can be seen from the calculated spectrum that the number and frequency of vibration peaks are in good agreement with the experimental values. And, we also analyze the influence of pressure on the frequency of vibration mode.

Among the diseases of the digestive system, the incidence of acute pancreatitis (AP) has increased. Although the AP is primarily self-limited, mortality remains high when it progressed to severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Despite significant advances in new drug development, treatments for AP are not ideal. Here, we discovered a novel hydroxycinnamic acid, sinapic acid (SA), which is widely distributed in plants and is an effective treatment for AP. Using in vitro and in vivo models, we demonstrated that pretreatment with SA ameliorated cerulein-induced pancreatic damage and inflammation and inhibited the activation of Caspase-1 and Caspase-11, which mediate pyroptosis of pancreatic acinar cells during AP. These effects may occur through the inhibition of AMPK phosphorylation and downregulation of NF-[Formula: see text]B. Our findings demonstrate the therapeutic effects and reveal the underlying mechanisms of SA, which warrants its further study as an effective treatment for AP.

BackgroundGallbladder cancer (GBC) is highly lethal and resistant to most chemotherapeutic drugs. GBC was reported to carry multiple genetic mutations such as TP53, K-RAS, and ERBB2/3. Here, we unexpectedly identified a patient with GBC harboring germline BRCA1 p.Arg1325Lys heterozygous mutation. We sought to determine if olaparib, the poly ADP-ribose polymerase inhibitor (PARPi) commonly treated for BRCA mutation, can inhibit cancer development via a therapeutic trial on this patient.Case presentationThe patient received GBC R0 resection after an 8-week olaparib treatment. After surgery and 6-month follow-up treatment with olaparib, the patient’s blood carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) level declined from 328 to 23.6 U/ml. No recurrence in CT scanning was observed, indicating a disease-free survival of 6 months with conventional therapy. Two months later, CT examination and CA19-9 level showed cancer relapse. A blood biopsy revealed a new ERBB3 p.Gly337Arg mutation. GBC cell lines ectopically expressing BRCA1 p.Arg1325Lys together with ERBB3 p.Gly337Arg mutations were challenged with olaparib and/or afatinib, an ERBB2/3 inhibitor. The dual mutation cells were more responsive to the combined olaparib with afatinib than a single drug in the cell proliferation assay.ConclusionOlaparib is effective in a GBC patient with a BRAC1 mutation. The efficacy of olaparib and afatinib in both cultured BRAC1 and ERBB3 mutation cell lines suggests that a combined regimen targeting BRCA1/2 and ERBB2/3 mutations may be an optimal strategy to treat GBC patients who carry both gene mutations.

To address the challenge of designing grouting reinforcement in a deep shaft to control water, this study established an elastic-plastic analytical formula for the grouted rock surrounding a shaft under the combined action of thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical fields based on the Mohr–Coulomb yield criterion. The various rules and influencing factors of stability and impermeability of the grouted rock surrounding the shaft are calculated and analyzed. The analysis shows that damage to the surrounding rock is aggravated by the action of high ground temperature and high water pressure in deep shafts, and the influence of water pressure is particularly significant. The larger the radius and cohesion of the grouted surrounding rock, the smaller the radius of its plastic zone. With an increase in the elastic modulus ratio between the grouted surrounding rock and the original rock, the radius of its plastic zone increases, so the elastic modulus of the grouted surrounding rock design should consider the original surrounding rock. With a decrease in the permeability coefficient of the grouted surrounding rock, the radial stress decreases, the tangential stress increases, and the radius of the plastic zone increases. The development of plastic zone not only affects the stability but also causes an increase in the permeability coefficient. There is mutual restriction and influence between the shaft water inflow, the permeability coefficient, the radius of the grouted surrounding rock, and the radius of its plastic zone. In the design of grouting reinforcement, the stability of surrounding rock and the control requirements of shaft water inflow should be comprehensively considered and the optimal parameters should be selected based on theoretical calculation. This study provides a theoretical basis for the optimization of grouting reinforcement parameters in a deep shaft.

Begonia giganticaulis, a huge new species in Begonia sect. Platycentrum of Begoniaceae from southern Xizang (Tibet) of China, is described. Morphologically, it is mostly similar to B. longifolia and B. acetosella, but clearly differs from the former mainly by its dioecious and taller plants, sparse hairs on abaxial veins, longer inflorescence, unique shape of fruits, and differs from the latter mainly by its late and longer flowering time, 6-tepals of female flower and 3-loculed ovary. The phylogenetic analyses also support the separation of the new species from other taxa. Based on the current data, its conservation status is assigned to Endangered (B2a) according to the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria.

The flotation fractions of a long-flame coal were obtained by heavy medium separation method, and its effect on regulation of sulfur and coke reactivity during pyrolysis of high-sulfur coking coal were investigated by FT-IR, Raman, TG, Gieseler fluidity, N2 adsorption, XRD. The results show that the low density fractions contain more aliphatic side chains and unstable aliphatic structure, while the high-density fractions show higher amount of minerals and inert components. Low density fractions have the highest sulfur removal rate due to lower content of alkaline minerals and more aliphatic side chains. The medium molecular weight component in the low density fractions has little effect on properties of metaplast. Higher minerals and inert components in high-density fractions deteriorate the metaplast more obviously. Meanwhile, order of the coke's microcrystalline structure is reduced and the defect sites increase, and consequently, reactivity of the coke increases.

The control group members were selected from January to March 2018 via the traditional method, and the experimental group members were selected from April to June 2018 via the closed-loop management method. At three months before and after the implementation of the management model, a self-designed quantitative test form and satisfaction questionnaire were used to analyze the frequency of nursing disruption events, the accuracy rate of doctors’ advice, the average drug delivery time of the static distribution center, the implementation rate of personal digital assistant (PDA) code scanning, and the report rate of risk-outcome nursing disruption events.Results: After the implementation of the management model, the frequency of nursing disruptions and average drug delivery time of the static distribution center were significantly lower than before, and the differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05). Moreover, the accuracy rate of doctors’ advice, the implementation rate of PDA code scanning, and the reporting rate of risk-outcome nursing disruption events were significantly higher than before, and these differences were statistically significant as well (p < 0.05).Conclusion: The application of a closed-loop management model could significantly reduce the occurrence and optimize the outcomes of nursing disruption events and improve the work processes of medical care.Keywords: closed-loop management, nursing interruption, risk control, personal digital assistant, PDA, management mode

Ceropegia sunhangii P.R. Luo & T. Deng, a new species from Qiaojia, Yunnan, China, is described and illustrated herein. This species is similar to C. christenseniana Hand.-Mazz.and C. sinoerecta M. G. Gilbert & P. T. Li but can be distinguished easily by its stem, indumentum, leaf size, and floral features, especially the corolla shape and size, the corolla tube and corolla lobe characters.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play roles in the development and progression of many cancers; however, the contributions of lncRNAs to human gallbladder cancer (GBC) remain largely unknown. In this study, we identify a group of differentially expressed lncRNAs in human GBC tissues, including prognosis‐associated gallbladder cancer lncRNA (lncRNA‐PAGBC), which we find to be an independent prognostic marker in GBC. Functional analysis indicates that lncRNA‐PAGBC promotes tumour growth and metastasis of GBC cells. More importantly, as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA), lncRNA‐PAGBC competitively binds to the tumour suppressive microRNAs miR‐133b and miR‐511. This competitive role of lncRNA‐PAGBC is required for its ability to promote tumour growth and metastasis and to activate the AKT/mTOR pathway. Moreover, lncRNA‐PAGBC interacts with polyadenylate binding protein cytoplasmic 1 (PABPC1) and is stabilized by this interaction. This work provides novel insight on the molecular pathogenesis of GBC.

Hodgsonia tsaii (Cucurbitaceae), a new species from Motuo, Xizang, China, is described. It is compared with H. macrocarpa and H. heteroclita, and differs from the two species by the entire or 3-lobed leaf, bigger and longer calyx lobes, 5-carpellate and 10-ovuled ovary, 5-lobed stigma, pepo with 20 deep grooves which are separated by 10 tall and 10 dwarf ribs. A comprehensive morphological description of H. tsaii, together with photographs, a conservation assessment, and a diagnostic keyto 3 Hodgsonia species from Asia are provided. Distribution information of Hodgsonia is updated, and all the three species occur in China.

Background: Viruses are the most ubiquitous and diverse entities in the biome. Due to the rapid growth of newly identified viruses, there is an urgent need for accurate and comprehensive virus classification, particularly for novel viruses.Results: Here, we present PhaGCN2, which can rapidly classify the taxonomy of viral sequences at family level and supports the visualization of the associations of all families. We evaluate the performance of PhaGCN2 and compare it with the state-of-the-art virus classification tools, such as vConTACT2, CAT, and VPF-Class, using the widely accepted metrics. The results show that PhaGCN2 largely improves the precision and recall of virus classification, increases the number of classifiable virus sequences in the Global Ocean Virome dataset (v2.0) by 4 times, and classifies more than 90% of the Gut Phage Database. Conclusions: Here, we present PhaGCN2, which can rapidly classify the taxonomy of viral sequences at family level and supports the conduction of high-throughput and automatic expansion of the database of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses.

The present study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of Xuanfei Baidu Decoction(XFBD) for severe cases with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Forty-one patients(diagnosed as severe or critical type) admitted to Hubei Provincial Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine and Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 1 to March 1, 2020, were included.All patients were treated with XFBD based on conventional therapies.Clinical outcomes, length of hospital stay, and lung CT images of patients were observed.Laboratory indicators were compared between admission and the 14 th day of treatment.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptoms and signs on the 7 th and 14 th days of treatment were also compared with baseline.The differences in clinical characteristics and clinical outcomes between XFBD and western medicine or conventional therapies were analyzed with the published trials on severe COVID-19 cases during the same period as external controls.According to the results, among the 41 cases, 40 were cured and discharged, and 1 died; the median length of hospital stay was 22 days, and the improvement rate of lung CT was 87.2%(34/39).Compared with the conditions on admission, the levels of white blood cells(WBC), C-reactive protein(CRP), fibrinogen(FIB), and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) were reduced(Plt;0.05, Plt;0.01), and levels of procalcitonin(PCT), prothrombin time(PT), creatine kinase(CK), alanine aminotransferase(AST), total bilirubin(TBiL), and other indicators showed a downward trend.Moreover, symptoms like fever, cough, chest tightness/shortness of breath, dyspnea, head and body pain, anorexia, and greasy tongue coating were significantly improved on the 7 th and 14 th days of treatment(Plt;0.05, Plt;0.01), and fatigue was improved on the 14 th day of treatment(Plt;0.01).The mortality, adverse reactions, and major events of the XFBD group were significantly lower than those of the western medicine and conventional treatment groups in the same period, and the usage of antibiotics, hormones, vasopressin, and invasive mechanical ventilation during treatment were generally less than other groups.In conclusion, XFBD has good efficacy and safety in the treatment of severe COVID-19 cases by improving inflammation and clinical symptoms, promoting the absorption of lung inflammation, and reducing mortality.

Owing to the flammability of dendrites and organic liquid electrolytes, the safety performance of lithium-ion batteries cannot be effectively ensured. The sodium-ion solid electrolyte is anticipated to become the leading next generation battery in commercial applications due to the high thermal stability and low price. Yet, the insufficient ionic conductivity of Na3Zr2Si2PO12 solid electrolytes, along with the large interfacial resistance between the cathode material and the solid electrolyte, substantially restricts the performance of room-temperature all-solid-state sodium rechargeable batteries. In the present study, the effects of Bi2O3 additive on the phase, microstructure and ionic conductivity of Na3.1Y0.1Zr1.9Si2PO12 ceramic electrolyte are reported. Moreover, a significant room temperature conductivity of 1.21 × 10-3 S cm-1 and the dense microstructure was attained by adding 1 wt% Bi2O3 to Na3.1Y0.1Zr1.9Si2PO12 sintered at 1100 °C for 6 h. Simultaneously, an electrochemical test exhibited that the electrochemical stability window increased to 4.8 V and revealed good cycle stability.

Facial nerve palsy (FNP) is extremely rare in Kawasaki disease (KD) and the incidence is just 0.9-1.3%. Our objective was to study the clinical features and prognosis of KD accompanied with FNP and to determine whether FNP indicated an increased risk of coronary artery lesions (CALs) in KD. An observational study was performed on 9 patients diagnosed as KD accompanied with FNP in Chengdu Women’s and Children’s Central Hospital, School of Medicine, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China between September 2012 and December 2019. Patients were followed up from September 2012 till September 2020. Clinical features, laboratory and echocardiography findings, treatments, and prognosis were analyzed retrospectively. And the clinical data of patients with FNP (group A, n = 9) were compared to matched KD patients without FNP (group B, n = 27) in order to determine whether FNP indicated an increased risk of CALs in KD. The matching factors included sex, age, days of illness at the intravenous immunoglobulin use, and classic/incomplete KD forms. Clinical data of 9 patients were analyzed in this study. Patients tended to be younger than 24 months of age (88.9%) and 55.6% were under 12 months. Median onset of FNP was day 10 of illness. Eight patients (88.9%) showed unilateral FNP. The levels of laboratory inflammatory markers (White blood cells count, neutrophil percentage, C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, etc.) were significantly increased in most cases. CALs were noted in 8 of 9 patients (88.9%). Coronary artery aneurysms occurred in 4 cases (44.4%) and the remaining 4 patients showed coronary artery dilation. All patients were given intravenous immunoglobulin therapy (2 g/kg), aspirin (30-50 mg/kg/day), and short-term dexamethasone. During follow-up, both FNP and CALs were completely recovered in all patients. The duration time of FNP ranged from 10 to 130 days. And the time for CALs to normal ranged from 12 to 282 days. Objectives To investigate the cup survivorship, patient satisfaction level, clinical function, and radiographic outcomes of patients who underwent total hip arthroplasty (THA) using electron beam melting (EBM)‐produced porous coated titanium cups at mid‐term follow up. Methods A total of 32 patients (32 hips) from five hospitals in China who underwent primary THA using EBM‐produced trabecular titanium cups between May and December 2012 were retrospectively reviewed. The inclusion criteria were: (i) patients who underwent THA with the use of EBM‐produced cups with possible 7‐year follow up; and (ii) patients with follow‐up information, including the cup survivorship, patient satisfaction level, and clinical outcomes such as Harris hip score. The exclusion criteria were: (i) patients with neuropathic diseases; and (ii) patients who underwent THA due to neoplastic disease. Five (15.6%) patients were lost to follow up before the 7‐year follow‐up and, thus, were excluded; none of these patients died due to disease associated with the THA or had undergone removal of their cups as of our last evaluation. The mean age and body mass index of the patients were 59.37 (range: 38.00–69.00) years and 24.51 (range: 16.50–34.10) kg/m2, respectively. Thirteen (48.1%) of the patients were female. Results The average duration of follow‐up was 93.48 (range: 89.00–99.00) months. To study the influence of B4C particle size on the microstructure and damping capacities of (B4C+Ti)/Mg composites, in situ reactive infiltration technique was utilized to prepare Mg-matrix composites. The microstructure, produced phases and damping capacities of the composites prepared with different particle size of B4C were characterized and analyzed. The results show that the reaction between B4C and Ti tends to be more complete when finer B4C particle was used to prepare the composites. But the microstructure of the as-prepared composites is more homogenous when B4C and Ti have similar particle size. The strain-dependent damping capacities of (B4C+Ti)/Mg composites improve gradually with the increase of strain amplitude, and composites prepared with coarser B4C particles tend to have higher damping capacities. The temperature-dependent damping capacities improve with increasing the measuring temperatures, and the kind of damping capacities of the composites prepared with 5 B4C are inferior to those of coarser particles. The dominant damping mechanism for the strain-damping capacity is dislocation damping and plastic zone damping, while that for the temperature-damping capacity is interface damping or grain boundary damping.

In order to study the influence of design parameters (pressure angle, tooth width, tooth line radius, modulus, and moment) on contact stress of variable hyperbolic circular arc gear (VHCAG) and to obtain the best manufacturing parameters, The Kriging-Response Surface Model, a hybrid surrogate model with adaptive quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithm was proposed to establish the expression prediction model for the relation between design parameters and contact stress. An intelligent quantum particle swarm optimization algorithm based on adaptive weight and natural selection is proposed to optimize the parameters of Gaussian variation function of the kriging surrogate model to improve its fitting accuracy. The global search ability of quantum particles is improved, and the accuracy and stability of the algorithm are improved by adjusting the weight of quantum particles adaptively and by optimizing the elimination iteration process, and the response relationship between design parameters and contact stress was established. The binomial response surface model of gear design parameters and contact stress is established based on the output obtained through the improved kriging model; this simplifies the complex expression of the kriging model. The effects of parameters and their cross-terms on contact stress are analysed based on the contact stress prediction model established by using the optimized Kriging-Response Surface Model hybrid surrogate model. The hybrid Kriging-Response Surface Model surrogate model lays a foundation for the research on the reliability and robust optimization of cylindrical gears with variable hyperbolic arc tooth profile.
