Intersubgeneric hybrids of Paeonia lactiflora (Paeonia lactiflora pall., P. lactiflora.) cover a huge variety of systems in the genus Paeonia. In recent years, many studies have confirmed that the intersubgeneric hybrids of P. lactiflora. are rich in paeoniflorin and other medicinal ingredients, however, it has always proved difficult to clarify the medicinal value of the hybrids and whether they can be used for medicinal purposes. In this study, the consistency of the plant population was evaluated through DUS evaluation, in order to clarify whether the selected research materials had stability and consistency within the population and specificity between populations. The differences between the paeoniflorin contents in the roots of the nine intersubgeneric hybrids of the P. lactiflora. varieties and two medicinal varieties were critically compared. The differences in the chemical components of the roots of nine intersubgeneric hybrids of P. lactiflora. and reference medicine substances of P. lactiflora. and Paeonia anomala subsp. veitchii (Lynch) D. Y. Hong and K. Y. Pan (Paeonia veitchii Lynch., P. veitchii.) were explored via stoichiometric and chemical fingerprint high performance liquid chromatography analyses. The results showed that there were significant differences in the chemical compositions between the intersubgeneric hybrids of P. lactiflora. and the medicinal reference materials, and the contents of paeoniflorin were elevated such that the hybrids could be used as the raw material for extraction of paeoniflorin, thus providing an opportunity to explore the medicinal value of the hybrids. This study explored the key differential components among the varieties and provides a reference and basis for the study of the medicinal value and the identification of the intersubgeneric hybrids of the P. lactiflora. varieties.

Spider mite infestations are a serious hazard for jujube trees in China. The use of remote sensing technology to evaluate the health of jujube trees in large-scale intensive agricultural production is an effective means of agricultural control. Hyperspectral remote sensing has a higher spectral resolution and richer spectral information than conventional multispectral remote sensing, which improves the detection of crop pests and diseases. We used hyperspectral remote sensing data from jujube fields infested with spider mite in Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang to evaluate their use in monitoring this important pest. We fused spectral and spatial information from the hyperspectral images and propose a method of recognizing spider mite infestations of jujube trees. Our method is based on the construction of spectral features, the fusion of spatial information and clustering of these spectral–spatial features. We evaluated the effect of different spectral–spatial features and different clustering methods on the recognition of spider mite in jujube trees. The experimental results showed that the overall accuracy of the method for the recognition of spider mites was >93% and the overall accuracy of the band clustering–density peak clustering model for the recognition of spider mite reached 96.13%. This method can be applied to the control of jujube spider mites in agricultural production.

Cyclic neutropenia (CyN) is a rare, ELANE-related neutropenia. Oral manifestations are among the initial signs of CyN and an important reason that leads patients to seek professional help. This case report describes a 12-year-old girl with recurrent oral ulcers, severe chronic periodontitis, and pathological tooth migration as the initial and main clinical symptoms of CyN. Two novel mutations in ELANE, c.180T>G (p.I60M) and c.182C>G (p.A61G) associated with CyN were observed. Bioinformatics research indicated lower stability and impaired molecular linkages of the mutant neutrophil elastase (NE) encoded by ELANE. However, the enzyme affinity to the classic substrate Suc–Ala–Ala–Ala–pNA was not substantially changed, suggesting that the impaired integrity and stability of the mutant NE, rather than catalytic deficiency, might be the pathogenic mechanism of ELANE mutation-induced neutropenia. The patient was prescribed scaling and root planing (SRP) and monthly periodontal maintenance without systemic management. Although the routine periodontal treatment was occasionally interrupted by the 2019 coronavirus pandemic, her periodontal devastation remained well-remitted in the 5-year follow-up assessment. The results of this study confirmed the importance of plaque control and proper diagnosis in the periodontal management of such patients and provide better clinical references. In addition, the novel mutations identified in this study expand the spectrum of known ELANE mutations in CyN and further contribute to knowledge regarding its pathogenic mechanism.

This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Emodin-loaded polymer lipid hybrid nanoparticles (E-PLNs) for breast cancer. The size, Zeta potential, surface morphology, encapsulation efficiency, stability, in vitro drug release of E-PLNs prepared by the nanoprecipitation method were characterized. The uptake, in-vitro cytotoxicities and apoptosis of free drug, E-PLNs were investigated against MCF-7 cells. The efficacy of E-PLNs in tumor bearing nude mice has also been studied.The average particle size of the experimentally prepared E-PLNs was (122.7±1.79) nm, and the encapsulation rate was 72.8%. Compared with free Emodin (EMO), E-PLNs showed greater toxicity to MCF-7 cells by promoting the uptake of EMO, and can promote the early apoptosis of MCF-7 cells. In addition to the morphological changes of apoptotic cells, the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 was significantly increased, which indicated that E-PLNs can induce apoptosis in MCF-7 cells to achieve anticancer effect. Finally, E-PLNs significantly inhibited tumor growth by more than 60%, which may be related to its passive targeting effect on tumor site. Our results suggest that E-PLNs have shown good anti-breast cancer effect than free EMO. Moreover, the effect of E-PLNs on MCF-7 cells is mainly related to the induction of apoptosis.

Several lines of clinical research support the efficacy of Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with a large number of population and various disease conditions, however, the true effects of CBT interventions on Quality of Life of breast cancer patients remain unknown. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on the Quality of Life of breast cancer patients. A systematic review of articles published using Web of Science (1950–January 2020); Medline via EBSCO (1992–January 2020); Science direct via ELSEVIER (1996–January 2020); SCOPUS (2004–January 2020); and PubMed (1946–January 2020 excluding Medline from 1992–January 2020) were included. Additional studies were included after checking reference lists of all relevant studies; searching ongoing trials and research registers and manual search. Data extraction was conducted by two independent authors and a third independent author checked the data extraction. The PRISMA statement was adopted. Eleven Randomized controlled trials (RCT) with 1690 breast cancer patients were included in this review. Green microalgae are gaining attention in the renewable energy field due to their ability to convert light into energy in biophotovoltaic (BPV) cells. The poor exogenous electron transfer kinetics of such microorganisms requires the use of redox mediators to improve the performance of related biodevices. Redox polymers are advantageous in the development of subcellular-based BPV devices by providing an improved electron transfer while simultaneously serving as immobilization matrix. However, these surface-confined redox mediators have been rarely used in microorganism-based BPVs. Since electron transfer relies on the proximity between cells and the redox centres at the polymer matrix, the development of molecularly tailored surfaces is of great significance to fabricate more efficient BPV cells. We propose a bioanode integrating Chlorella vulgaris embedded in an Os complex-modified redox polymer. Chlorella vulgaris cells are functionalized with 3-aminophenylboronic acid that exhibits high affinity to saccharides in the cell wall as a basis for an improved integration with the redox polymer. Maximum photocurrents of (5±1) µA cm−2 are achieved. The developed bioanode is further coupled to a bilirubin oxidase-based biocathode for a proof-of-concept BPV cell. The obtained results encourage the optimization of electron-transfer pathways toward the development of advanced microalgae-based biophotovoltaic devices.

When the broken rotor bar (BRB) fault occurs in induction motors, the amplitude of stator fundamental current is modulated by fault components, forming the current envelope with a particular frequency, which can be considered as a powerful criterion for BRB detection. However, it is relatively difficult to extract especially at time-varying loads due to the non-stationary characteristics. Thus, a novel envelope extraction method (EEM) combining fast Fourier transform and sliding overlapping window is proposed and the overall performance is tested by simulation. The results show that the method is capable to effectively extract the current envelope, but the extraction accuracy is unsatisfied due to the spectrum leakage in the case of non-integer periodic truncation. The technique of discrete spectrum correction is then introduced into EEM to improve its extraction accuracy, and then, an improved EEM (IEEM) is proposed and then tested by simulation. The results show that the IEEM is able to eliminate the impact of non-integer periodic truncation, effectively and accurately extract the current envelope. Finally, the two methods are applied in BRB fault online detection of 1.1 and 2.2 kW induction motors at time-varying loads. The corresponding experimental results demonstrate its validity and universality again.

Objective: There are no comprehensive studies on survival outcomes and optimal treatment protocols for cervical esophageal cancer (CEC), due to its rare clinical prevalence. Our objective was to determine the relationship between pathological characteristics, treatment protocols, and survival outcomes in Chinese CEC patients. Methods: A total of 500 Chinese CEC patients were selected from our 500,000 esophageal and gastric cardia carcinoma database (1973–2018). There were two main groups: patients treated with surgery, and patients receiving non-surgical treatments (radiotherapy, radiochemotherapy, and chemotherapy). The Chi-square test and Kaplan–Meier method were used to compare the continuous variables and survival. Results: Among the 500 CEC patients, 278 (55.6%) were male, and the median age was 60.9 ± 9.4 years. A total of 496 patients (99.2%) were diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. In 171 (34.2%) patients who received surgery, 22 (12.9%) had undergone laryngectomy. In 322 (64.4%) patients who received non-surgical treatments, 245 (76.1%) received radiotherapy. Stratified survival analysis showed that only T stage was related with survival outcomes for CEC patients in the surgical group, and the outcomes between laryngectomy and non-laryngectomy patients were similar. It was noteworthy that the 5-year survival rate was similar in CEC patients among the different groups treated with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or radiochemotherapy (P = 0.244). Conclusions: The CEC patients had similar survival outcomes after curative esophagectomy and radiotherapy, including those with or without total laryngectomy. These findings suggest that radiotherapy could be the initial choice for treatment of Chinese CEC patients.

The recovery of scandium from bauxite residue was studied by selective sulfation roasting and water leaching. The sulfation roasting process of bauxite residue with concentrated sulfuric acid was investigated by XRD, SEM and TG-DSC techniques. The results showed that metal oxides in bauxite residue were firstly transformed into their respective sulfates during the sulfation roasting process, while Si was in the form of macromolecular silicic acid. The sulfates of the titanium, iron (III) and aluminum started to decompose to their respective oxides when the roasting temperature was 544°C, 683°C and 716.6°C, respectively. The scandium sulfate was stable when the roasting temperature was below 850°C. About 90% of the scandium can be recovered under the optimum conditions: roasting temperature of 850°C, roasting time of 60 min, concentrated sulfuric acid to bauxite residue rate of 1 ml/g, leaching temperature of 60°C, leaching time of 40 min and liquid to initial bauxite residue ratio of 8:1 ml/g.

Background: Gastric cardia adenocarcinoma (GCA), which has been normalized as type II of adenocarcinoma at esophagogastric junction in western countries. In clinical, most of the GCA patients are lack of early alarming symptoms, more than 90% of GCA patients were diagnosed at advanced stage, resulted in a very poor prognosis, with less than 20% of 5-year survival. Obviously, early detection for GCA plays crucial role in decreasing the high mortality. Metabolomics allows for appraisal of small molecular mass compounds in a biofluid, which may provide a way for finding biomarkers for GCA. Methods: The serum metabolic features of 276 curatively resected GCA patients and 588 healthy control participates were collected from the database of State Key Laboratory of Esophageal Cancer Prevention & Treatment and Henan Key Laboratory for Esophageal Cancer Research of The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University to discover the metabolic dysregulation by using the ultraperformance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS). Joint pathway analysis with metabolites identified, survival analysis and auxiliary diagnosis metabolites were discussed in present work. Results: A sum of 200 known differential metabolites were obtained with p＜0.05 and fold change FC≥1.25 or FC≤0.8 by comparison GCA and healthy control participates. 12 metabolites significant correlated with survival (p＜0.05) and 17 metabolites for potential auxiliary diagnosis(FC＞1.5 or FC＜0.67) for GCA. Dysregulated arginine biosynthesis was an important pathway of GCA. 9 differential metabolites of 12-ketolithocholic acid, 2-Hydroxybutanoic acid, Aldosterone, All-trans-13,14-dihydroretinol, Hododeoxycholic acid, L-histidine, Malonic acid, Prostaglandin E2 and Sphingosine were identified as potential metabolic markers for distinguishing the GCA and healthy control (AUC=0.976, sensitivity =0.913, specificity =0.027, optimal cut off value=0.470). Conclusions: This work was first identified 12 metabolites significant correlated with survival and 17 metabolites for potential auxiliary diagnosis for GCA. In addition, arginine biosynthesis pathway metabolism showed important roles in GCA. Results provide the understanding of the molecular difference between GCA and healthy control. The novel plasma biomarkers panel could clearly distinguish GCA patients from the healthy control group. This finding may form the basis for the development of a minimally invasive method for GCA detection.

Iron tailings and construction waste are products of rapid economic development and rapid urbanization in our country. How to effectively use them is related to the positive development of China’s ecological environment, economy and engineering construction. To fully develop iron ore tailings and construction wastes, the prediction model of mechanical properties of iron ore tailings recycled concrete and its influence weights of the three factors are clearly defined in the foundation treatment project. This article also takes control factors for the compressive strength of iron ore tailings recycled concrete as the entry point. Single-factor test is conducted. Based on test results, the test is carried out according to the principle of quadratic orthogonal regression design. Through fifteen groups of compressive strength tests, a prediction model for the compressive strength of recycled iron concrete is established. SPSS software is used for a stepwise regression analysis of each factor’s significance model to determine the weight relationship based on the factors that affect the compressive strength of the recycled iron ore tailings of foundations. Results show that water–cement ratio and additional water volume have an inhibitory effect on the compressive strength of iron tailing ore recycled concrete. Impact of iron tailings content on compressive strength firstly decreases and then increases. Slump of iron ore tailings recycled concrete is significantly affected by the iron tailings content, water–cement ratio and additional water volume. When the iron tailings content reaches 100% and the additional water consumption exceeds 60%, the slump is not within the control range; the weights of factors affecting the compressive strength of recycled concrete from iron ore tailings include water–cement ratio x2 (2.613), additional water x3 (1.422), x22 (1.171), x12 (0.846), iron tailings content x1 (0.623), interaction between iron tailings and additional water x1x3 (0.432).

Six lanthanide complexes [Ln(pmc)₂NO₃]n (1-2) (Hpmc = pyrimidine-2-carboxylic acid, Ln = La, Pr), [Ln(pmc)₂(H₂O)₃]NO₃*H₂O (3-6) (Ln = Eu, Tb, Dy, Er) were synthesized by the reactions of lanthanide nitrate and pyrimidine-2-carboxylic acid in water at room temperature. These complexes were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, elemental analysis, IR, circular dichroism (CD) and fluorescence spectra. Structure analysis shows that complexes 1-2 are isostructural with P4₃2₁2 space group, while isostructural complexes 3-6 belong to the P2₁/c space group. In complexes 1-2, the metal centers are coordinated by nitrates and pmc- which are self-assembled to construct a 3D porous network with 6₂.6₂.6₂.6₂.6₂.6₂ (6⁶) topology. While in complexes 3-6, H₂O and pmc- ligands are coordinated and the complexes exhibit a 1-dimensional zig-zag chain, which is further expanded into a 3D structure by hydrogen bonding. In addition, the circular dichroism of 1-2 proves that the two complexes are both chiral with achiral ligand of Hpmc. Luminescent measurements of compounds 3-5 indicate that the characteristic fluorescence of Eu3+, Tb3+ and Dy3+ are observed

In this paper, an example has been taken for 1000kV UHVAC transmission project which is Inner Mongolia construction and management. By analyzing the environmental features of Inner Mongolia, the environmental impact evaluation index system has been established which is suit for the area, and provided the strongest support for subsequent UHV project.

A 6-(4-bromophenoxy)hexyl group linked to carbazole gives crystals that exhibit strong white photoluminescence with an efficiency of 72.6%, a Φ P of 39.5%, and a phosphorescence lifetime of 200 ms., Generally, strong phosphorescence always implies a short luminescence lifetime. So, pure organic molecules with strong persistent phosphorescence at room temperature are rarely explored. Here, a new strategy is used to explore strong persistent phosphorescence of carbazole derivatives through an intermolecular moderate heavy atom effect. Flexible alkyl chains were inserted between the heavy atom and carbazole moieties so as to avoid a strong internal heavy atom affect. The results indicate that the photoluminescence properties of crystals strongly depend on molecular stacking in crystal states. Moreover, seven molecules among eight carbazole derivatives exhibit persistent room-temperature phosphorescence in their crystals and the Φ P values of three compounds exceed 9.5%. Notably, when a 6-(4-bromophenoxy)hexyl group is linked to carbazole, the ambient phosphorescent quantum yield reaches 39.5% and the lifetime is as long as 200 ms. Moreover, it emitted white light with a luminescent efficiency of 72.6% owing to the coexistence of strong fluorescence and phosphorescence.

A three-dimensional (3d) trajectory tracking controller for a wheeled mobile robot via adaptive fuzzy sliding mode (AFSM) technique is designed in this paper. To begin, according to the coordinate transformation theory, the wheeled mobile robot dynamics equation and position equation are obtained. Then, the fuzzy sliding mode trajectory tracking controller is designed by fuzzy index reaching rate for the wheeled mobile robot system. Finally, compared with PID control method, the numerical simulation results show that proposed method has higher control precision and better convergence speed, and reduce chattering existing in conventional sliding mode control.

Membrane bioreactor (MBR), with the characteristics of high-quality effluent and small footprint, is a new type of water treatment process combing biotreatment with membrane separation. MBR can be divided into three categories according to their configurations. Here, the design and operation of MBR are introduced. The main application of MBR is the domestic wastewater treatment; however, it is also an attractive option for the industrial wastewater treatment. In addition, the applications of MBR at polluted surface water supply have received more and more attentions.

A novel and efficient procedure has been developed for the preparation of Urapidil, (6-({3-4-(2-methoxyphenyl) piperazin-1-yl] propyl} amino)-1,3-dimethyl pyrimidine-2,4-(1H, 3H)-dione), from 6-[(3-chloropropyl) amino]-1, 3-dimethyluracil and 1-(2-methoxyphenyl) piperazine hydrochloride under inverse phase-transfer catalysis (IPTC) conditions. To optimize the reaction conditions, the alkylation reaction was carried out with a range of inverse phase-transfer catalysts, agitation speeds, reaction times, reaction temperatures, mole ratios and catalyst loadings. In addition, the factors affecting the rate of reaction were studied and the rate constant obtained is consistent with the pseudo-first order rate equation. When β-cyclodextrin was used as a catalyst, Urapidil was obtained as a white crystalline powder in 82.6% isolated yield with 99.6% purity after 2–3 h reaction in alkaline aqueous media at 95 °C with an agitation rate of 1500 rpm.

A kind of MEMS vector hydrophone with bionics structure was introduced in 2007. As the acoustic-electric transducer structure and the acoustic package of hydrophone have been optimized, the performance of the hydrophone has been greatly improved compared with the previous. This hydrophone calibration was completed in the National Defense Underwater Acoustics Calibration Laboratory of China. According to the test results, the sensitivity of the hydrophone is -165dB (including pre-amplification 20dB), the frequency response ranges from 20Hz to 2kHz (+/-5dB), and this hydrophone has a good directional pattern in the form of ''8''-shape.

In a cognitive relay network (CRN) consisting of multiple pairs of PUs and CUs, the resource allocation issues, specifically, the spectrum and power allocation and relay selection for secondary users (SUs) have to be considered to support efficient spectrum sharing among primary users (PUs) and SUs and providing quality of service (QoS) guarantees for both PUs and SUs. In this paper, we address the issue of resource allocation in CRNs and formulate the utility of all SUs as a function of node transmission mode, transmission power and subchannel allocation strategy and relay selection scheme. Through maximizing the utility function subject to multiple resource allocation constraints, the optimal transmission mode, relay selection, transmission power and subchannel allocation strategy is obtained. Simulation results demonstrate that proposed scheme enables joint performance optimization of SUs and outperforms previously proposed schemes.

Direct contact membrane distillation process was used for high ammonia concentration wastewater treatment in this study. Through the regulation of raw water pH value, the ammonia transferred from feed side to permeate side in the form of gaseous NH 3 molecules. In the experiment we used raw water with different ammonia concentration to investigate the ammonia removal rate, total transmembrane flux, mass transfer coefficient and selectivity. It was found that, during the reaction process, ammonia in feed side rapidly transferred to permeate side. As the ammonia concentration in raw water increased, the removal rate, mass transfer coefficient and selectivity increased respectively. While the ammonia concentration was above 400 mg/L, the removal rate achieved more than 85% in 20∼30 minutes. But when the ammonia concentration was above 1200 mg/L, the mass transfer coefficient decreased. And the selectivity also decreased when ammonia concentration achieved 1800 mg/L.

Thermal energy storage with phase change materials is one of the most efficient means of storing available energy because of its advantages such as providing higher thermal storage capacity, lower storage temperature, isothermal operation and less storage space. Thermal energy storage property of a new type of PCM heat exchanger was investigated, in which its main body is based on the traditional structure of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, and is full of PCMs (CaCl2·6H2O) in the tubes. The hot air at the temperature of 40° was selected as a flow medium, and the temperature measurements of the test points were carried out at the inlet and outlet of this kind of PCM heat exchanger. The experimental results showed that this kind of PCM heat exchanger could store thermal energy from the hot fluid by means of PCMs in the tubes. Its prospect in engineering applications such as the recovery and utilizations of industrial afterheat or waste heat etc was also analyzed and forecasted.
