The Huolin River is located in the monsoon marginal zone in Northeast China. It is an important source of the wetland system on the Northeast Plain. Recently, a dramatic reduction in the observed river runoff has resulted in a record high level of dried-up days in the Huolin River catchment (HRC). In this study, we used the hydrological simulation approach of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model to evaluate the influences of climate change and human activities on runoff in the HRC. The SWAT model effectively simulated the streamflow changes in the HRC with a high accuracy. The R2 values were 0.71 and 0.69 for the calibration and validation periods, respectively. In addition, the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) index reached 0.69 and 0.66 for the calibration and validation periods, respectively. The simulation results demonstrated that the variations in runoff have mostly been caused by combined influence of climate change and land use/land cover (LULC) changes, but the contributions of these factors varied in each period. The climate factors contributed 84.5% of runoff fluctuations before 2000, while the effect of LULC changes gradually grew to 63.6% after 2000. The increase in the influence of LULC changes was mainly apparent in the considerable growth of the areas of the arable land and construction land, which increased by 607 and 113 km2, respectively. This study provides an effective scientific basis for establishing long-term water management in catchment scale and regional social and economic development under the changing environment.

While the existing deep learning-based room layout estimation techniques demonstrate good overall accuracy, they are less effective for distant floor-wall boundary. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel uncertainty-guided approach for layout boundary estimation introducing new two-stage CNN architecture termed U2RLE. The initial stage predicts both floor-wall boundary and its uncertainty and is followed by the refinement of boundaries with high positional uncertainty using a different, distance-aware loss. Finally, outputs from the two stages are merged to produce the room layout. Experiments using ZInD and Structure3D datasets show that U2RLE improves over current state-of-the-art, being able to handle both near and far walls better. BackgroundChicken meat is one of the most consumed meats worldwide and poultry production is increasing at an exponential rate. Reducing antibiotic usage has resulted in the recurrence of subclinical necrotic enteritis again and influenced global poultry production. Probiotics are potential antibiotic substitutes that can be used to prevent subclinical necrotic enteriti. However, the precise mechanism of action of probiotics and information on which gut microbes confer this efficacy remain elusive.Methods and resultsThe subclinical necrotic enteritis animal model was used to reveal the mechanism underlying the effect of probiotics on intestinal health through RNA sequencing and 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing. Bacillus licheniformis H2 feeding significantly reduced the relative abundance of Clostridium perfringens in the ileum and markedly ameliorated the pathological damage in the ileum and liver. In addition, oral administration of B. licheniformis H2 contributed to the enhancement of the intestinal barrier function and epithelial renewal, reducing energy consumption, and improving enteral nutrition absorption. Probiotic B. licheniformis H2 also ameliorated the inflammatory response and increased the immunity of subclinical necrotic enteritis infected broilers. Finally, B. licheniformis H2 feeding regulated liver gene expression to suppress immune response and promoted growth and metabolism depending on the gut microbiota.ConclusionsThese results indicated the mechanism of probiotic action of B. licheniformis H2 in maintaining intestinal health and thus promoting growth and B. licheniformis H2 may serve as an antibiotic substitute to prevent subclinical necrotic enteritis in poultry farming.

Semen Ziziphi Spinosae (Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. spinosa (Bunge) Hu ex H. F. Chou) is a functional food and a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in China. Herein, Semen Ziziphi Spinosae protein (SZSP) was prepared by an alkaline extraction and acid precipitation method, of which the structural, physicochemical, functional and emulsion properties were investigated. Results showed that SZSP contained an ideal amino acid composition. The structural properties of the proteins were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), relative fluorescence and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy analysis. The electrophoresis profiles showed that the main molecular weight of the protein components was about 10–40 kDa and contained some glycoproteins. Differential scanning calorimetry analysis indicated that the denaturation temperature of SZSP was 110.5 °C. The functional properties showed that SZSP has good water and oil absorption capacity, high emulsifying ability and foaming stability. The overall results suggest that SZSP is a promising protein source for the functional food industry.

In this paper, the control system of grain moisture measurement has been designed and developed based on ATMEGA128 microcontroller made by Atmel Corporation. The control system hardware circuit design of each module has been introduced mainly in this paper. Through the SCM control technology, temperature and humidity signal acquisition technology, 12864LCDtechnology and motor control technology, combined with the main function of the single-chip microcomputer control system programming. The development of grain moisture measurement control system based on atmega128 has been completed finally.

Grain is the material basis of human existence and development. Food quality has an important effect on people’s physical health for our country. Moisture content of grain has been an important factor in affecting food quaility. Every year, a substantial part of the food production is lost because of too much water contained in the food without drying. According to the annual statistics of the country’s harvest, loss of food due to drying time caused by water take up 500 - 10000000 tons, according to approximate 1.5% - 3% of the total grain output.With the development of science and technology, grain moisture detection, especially the real-time and accurate detection, has attracted more and more purchase, production, processing, storage, transportation, and attention from various aspects. Under this problem context, hardware-circuit-control system of grain moisture detection based on ATmega128 has been investigated and designed.

Air pollutants refer to foreign substances that enter the near ground or the near ground environment in the form of gas. Generally, they are substances that are discharged into the atmospheric environment during human activities or natural processes and have harmful effects on human beings or the environment. Usually there are solid pollutants and gaseous pollutants two categories, solid pollutants in the common dust, suspended particles, etc. (usually called particulate matter); Among the common gaseous pollutants are volatile organic compounds, nitrogen oxides, benzene, sulfur oxides, ammonia, hydrocarbons, formaldehyde and so on caused by pollution caused by decoration materials. Aiming at different air pollutants, this paper introduces the differences and characteristics of several air purification methods, and points out the research significance of air purification technology.

This paper presents a highly efficient aeroelastic optimization method based on a surrogate model; the model is verified by considering the case of a high-aspect-ratio composite wing. Optimization frameworks using the Kriging model and genetic algorithm (GA), the Kriging model and improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO), and the back propagation neural network model (BP) and IPSO are presented. The feasibility of the method is verified, as the model can improve the optimization efficiency while also satisfying the engineering requirements. Moreover, the effects of the number of design variables and number of constraints on the optimization efficiency and objective function are analysed in detail. The accuracy of two surrogate models in aeroelastic optimization is also compared. The Kriging model is constructed more conveniently, and its predictive accuracy of the aeroelastic responses also satisfies the engineering requirements. According to the case of a high-aspect-ratio composite wing, the GA is better at global optimization.

A multidisciplinary design methodology for aircraft structures subject to uncertainties in structural parameters is developed, based on a genetic algorithm. The robust optimization design is described as a single objective problem by introducing an additional constraint which represents the relative change of objective. The method is applied to complicated structural design processes of flexible composite high-aspect-ratio wings with various backswept angles. A deterministic estimate is employed to account for the parameter variation in the worst case to which the structure is redesigned. A comparison of aeroelastic responses between traditional-method-based and robust-method-based structures is also presented. The redesigned structures using the robust method are found to be heavier and significantly more robust than the original structures and the redesigned structures using the traditional method in which the parameter uncertainties are not considered. In the case of small backswept angle, there is a reduction in optimal structural weight with the backswept angle increasing, when the angle of attack is fixed. The optimal weight arrives at the minimum in the case of the backswept angle of 10°, however, when the backswept angle becomes large enough, a tremendous weight is required to satisfy the constraint of the twist angle at wing tip. The present methodology provides a way to process robust optimization design of aeroelastic structure.
