With depleting resources, it is essential to increase the application of Agriculture 4.0 principles and technologies. Blueberry cultivation includes various operations, one of them being fertilization. To precisely discharge the correct amount of fertilizer, a volumetric dispenser utilizing a straight fluted roller could be considered as an option. The aim of this research is to verify whether such a dispenser could be used for precision fertilization with solid granular fertilizers. The output of the dispenser was measured on different conditions with three NPK fertilizers. Based on statistical analysis, the required 10% discharge uniformity cannot be achieved and it is necessary to modify the dispenser or use another one.

Increased cost-effectiveness in crop production can be achieved by automating technological operations. This is also the case for berry cultivation in plantations. Starting any berry cultivation automation process should, quite naturally, begin with fertilisation, since this is the first technological operation to be carried out during the vegetation period and is a relatively simple one. The main task here is to apply the correct amount of fertiliser under the canopy of plants. Blueberry plantations that have been established on milled peat fields have plants that have been planted in parallel rows at a pre-designated interval. The fertilisation of plants must take place individually in the first years of their growth, so that each plant is fertilised separately. This form of fertilisation can be referred to as precision fertilisation. The aim of this paper was to provide an overview of the levels of technology now available when it comes to precision fertiliser equipment and to introduce the concept of a new precision-automated fertiliser unit, while also justifying the efficiency of using automated equipment. The automated fertiliser unit that is to be designed will be autonomous, will move unmanned through the plantation, and will include the necessary sub-systems for the precision fertilisation of individual plants, such as a plant detection system, a fertilising nozzle, a motion system and, additionally, a service station. On the basis of the results obtained, it can be argued that the use of an automated precision fertilisation unit increases productivity levels by approximately 2.25 times and decreases the specific fertiliser costs by approximately 8.4 times when compared with the use of a portable spot fertiliser.

Magistritöö Tootmistehnika õppekaval Robotite rakendamine tööstuses ja automaatika suurendamine on kasvav ja pidev trend arenenud tööstusriikides. Selle tõttu on hangitud Eesti Maaülikooli tööstusroboti õppestend. Mille kasutatavust õppetöös on võimalik suurendada. Töö eesmärgiks on koostada õppeaine Masinaehitustehnoloogia tööstusrobootika osa läbiviimiseks vajalik metoodika koos materjalidega. Ülesanneteks on tutvuda tööstusrobotite tüüpide ja liikidega, tutvuda tööstusrobotite kasutusvõimalustega õppetöös, välja töötada või tõlkida tööstusroboti RV- 4FL ja õppestendi lühikasutusjuhend, välja töötada labortööde juhendid, enesearenduseks projekteerida uus tööstusrobotile sobiv haarats ja lihtsam tööstuslik manipulaator. Lõputöö raames valmisid viis labortööd, vaakumkiilhaaratsi ja manipulaatori prototüüp. Edaspidi saab töötada välja masinnägemise võimekusega näidiskoostamis labortöö, et rohkem välja tuua õppestendi võimekust ja parendada prototüüpe. The increasing rate of adoption of industrial robotics into the workplace of developed countries drives the demand for specialists. As a result Estonian University of Life Sciences has acquired a training cell with industrial robot, that usage level can be raised. The main goal of this thesis is to develop laboratory exercises for teaching industrial robotics part in the subject Technology of Mechanical Engineering. The tasks are to look at the industrial robot types, explore possibilities to integrate robotics to the subject, develop or translate short instruction guide to the industrial robot RV-4FL and learning cell, develop laboratory work guides and for self-development to design and manufacture a new gripper and manipulator. Five laboratory works were developed and prototypes were designed and manufactured that will be used with the learning cell. For further improvements the suggestions were made to develop laboratory exercise about machine vision to show off the assembly process that is possible with the training cell and to improve the prototypes.

Lõputöös antakse ülevaade 3D printimise tehnoloogiatest ja termoplasti ekstrusioon prindipea põhilistest osadest. Projekteeritakse lisaseade, millega vertikaalne töötlemiskeskus muuta 3D printeriks ilma lõiketöötlusvõimekust kaotamata. Lisaseade koosneb kuumutusdüüsist, materjali etteandjast, kinnitustest, töölauast, kasutajaliidesest, filamendi poolist ja toiteplokist. Projekteerides olid eesmärkideks seadme lihtne paigaldatavus, ühildumine firma Haas kontrolleriga ja kasutus mugavus. Käsitletud on riistvara, elektroonikat, tarkvara, lisatud on tehnilised joonised. The thesis gives an overview of 3D printing technologies and basic parts of a thermoplastic extrusion print-head. The paper describes how to build an add-on instrument to turn a vertical machining centre into a 3D printer without loosing it's machining capabilities. The add-on is made out of a hot end, an extruder, mounts, a heated bed, an user interface, a filament spool and a power supply. The design goals were ease of installation, seamless integration with Haas controller and ease of usage. The project covers hardware, electronics, software and technical drawings.

Rakenduskõrgharidusõppe lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Tänapäeval kasutatakse tööstuses automatiseeritust, tänu nende täpsusele ja järjepidevusele. Töö eesmärgiks on välja arendada ja valmistada töötav universaalhaarats manuseliimimisrobotile , sest teine haaratsite tootja ei ole paindlik universaalsuse suhtes. Analüüsitakse enimkasutatavaid võimalusi mitme manuse liimimiseks ühe haaratsiga. Võrreldakse nende eeliseid ja puudusi ning luuakse üks võimalikest lahenditest. Haarats valmistati ja juurutati ning on läbinud katsetused ja võetud kasutusse. Eesmärk sai täidetud. In today's industry, automation is widely employed due to its precision and consistency. The aim of this work is to develop and manufacture a functional universal gripper for a manual gluing robot, as the existing gripper manufacturer lacks flexibility in terms of universality. The most used options for gluing multiple attachments with a single gripper are analysed. Their advantages and disadvantages are compared, and one of the possible solutions is created. The gripper is fabricated, implemented, and subjected to testing before being put into operation. Therefore, it can be confidently stated that the objective has been achieved.

Rakenduskõrgharidusõppe lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Kasvav rahvastik vajab üha enam toitu ning tekitab seeläbi hinnasurvet väetistele. Lahendusena töötatakse Eesti Maaülikoolis välja täppisväetamise agrorobotit. Antud töö eesmärgiks on välja töötada juhtsüsteem joondamaks agroroboti manipulaatori visuaalselt leitud objektiga ning paigaldada robotile selleks vajalikud komponendid. Selleks tutvuti täppispõllumajanduse ning selles kasutatavate tehnoloogiatega, mustika kultuuriga ning agroroboti arendusprojektiga. Projekteeriti detailid vajalike komponentide paigaldamiseks agrorobotile. Viimaks arendati välja manipulaatori joondamist võimaldav juhtsüsteem. Kaamera paigaldati roboti raami külge manipulaatori alla. Arendati välja ROS kimp nimega mustikas_alignment, mis täidab juhtsüsteemi ülesannet. Töö võib lugeda õnnestunuks, sest paigaldati kõik vajalikud komponendid ning valmis töötav juhtsüsteem. Edaspidi tuleks leida mooduseid objekti asukoha täpsemaks leidmiseks, mustikataime keskpunkti leidmiseks ning arendada juhtsüsteem manipulaatorile kinnitatud kaamera abil joondamiseks. The growing population needs more and more food and thereby creates price pressure on fertilizers. As a solution, a precision fertilization field robot is being developed at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. The aim of this thesis is to develop a control system to align the manipulator of the field robot with a visually found object and to install the necessary components on the robot. For this purpose, research was carried out about precision agriculture, blueberry culture and the development project of the field robot. Parts for installing the necessary components on the agrorobot were designed. Finally, a control system enabling manipulator alignment was developed. The camera was mounted on the robot frame under the manipulator. A ROS package called mustikas_alignment was developed, which performs the task of the control system. The work can be considered a success, because all the necessary components were installed and a working control system was created. In the future, ways should be found to find the location of the object more precisely, to find the center of the blueberry plant, and to develop a control system for alignment using a camera attached to the manipulator.

Rakenduskırghariduse lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Istandustes kasutatakse kultuurmarjade nõudluse täitmiseks marjapõõsaste kohtväetamist, et tagada taime kasvuks vajalikud toitained. Käsitsi täppisväetamine on rutiinne ja väsitav töö, mille leevendamiseks kavatsetakse kasutusele võtta Eesti Maaülikooli poolt loodud põldrobot. Töö eesmärgiks on portatiivse kohtväetusseadme prototüübi parendamine ja kohandamine põllurobotile. Ülesanneteks on tutvuda Jaan Pettai poolt loodud portatiivse kohtväetusseadmega, tutvuda põldroboti konseptsiooniga, uurida kohtväetamisel kasutatavate väetiste kohta, modelleerida suurema mahutavusega paakmahuti koos autonoomse täitmisega ning valmistada süsteemi sobiv samm-ajami juhtplaat. Lõputöö raames loodi paakmahuti ja samm-ajami juhtplaadi prototüübid ning modelleeriti Solidworks keskkonnas luugisüsteem. Edaspidi on vajalik 3D printida modelleeritud luugisüsteemi osad ning testida nende töökindlust, autonoomse täitmise lahenduse kalibreerimine ja katsetamine. In orchards, precise fertilization of berry bushes is utilized to meet the demand for cultivated berries and ensure the necessary nutrients for plant growth. Manual precision fertilization is a routine and tiring task, which is intended to be alleviated by the implementation of a field robot developed by the Estonian University of Life Sciences. The objective of this study is to improve and adapt the portable precision fertilization device prototype for integration into the field robot. The tasks include familiarizing oneself with the portable precision fertilization device developed by Jaan Pettai, understanding the concept of the field robot, exploring the types of fertilizers used in precision fertilization, modeling a larger-capacity tank with autonomous filling, and designing a suitable stepper driver board for the system. As part of the thesis, prototypes of the tank and stepper driver board were created, and a hatch system was modeled using the Solidworks environment. The next steps involve 3D printing the modeled parts of the hatch system and testing their reliability, calibrating and testing the autonomous filling solution.

Rakenduskõrgharidusõppe lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Mustikataimede täpisväetamise põldroboti projekti raames on selle lõputöö teemaks võetud robotile teleopereerimissüsteemi väljatöötamine. Töö eemärgiks on olemaolevate seadmetega välja arendada kaugjuhtimistehnoloogia põldrobotile. Eesmärgi saavutamiseks analüüsiti eelnevaid lahendusviise, katsetati olemasolevaid seadmeid ja tehti parendusi operaatori kasutustingimustele. Tulemusena koostati tehnoloogia, kuidas rakendada olemasolevad seadmed teleopereerimiseks ja täiustati olemasolevat kaugjuhtimisplatvormi. Saadud tulemus erineb eelnevatest lahendustest kasutatavate seadmete ja rakendusvaldkonna poolest. Lõputööd on võimalik edasi uurida optimeerides teleopereerimise tarkvaralist külge ja lõputöö reaalset rakendamist põldroboti juhtimiseks. On the topic of blueberry plant precision fertilization field robot project, the topic for this thesis is the development of a teleoperating system fot the field robot. The aim of this thesis is to develop remote control technology for the field robot with given hardware. To aschieve this, existing solutions were analyzed, given hardware was tested and improvements were made to the operator´s driving conditions. As a result, technology was developed to implement given hardware for teleoperation and the existing remote operation control platform was improved. The results differ from the existing solutions in terms of devices used and the field of application of the technology. The thesis can be furder studied by optimizing the software of teleoperation and physically implementing the thesis to the field robot.

Bakalaureusetöö Tehnika ja tehnoloogia õppekaval Bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks on katseliselt määrata kindlaks, kas olemasolevad pääsupunktid on sobivad põlluroboti ning põllu servas seisva hooldejaama omavahelise suhtluse toimimiseks erinevate mõõtmetega mustikapõldudel. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to perform experiments to determine whether the existing access points are suitable for use in blueberry fields of different sizes in order to establish communication between the field robot and its service station.

Rakenduskõrgharidusõppe lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Robotite kasutuselevõtt põllumajanduses aitab tõsta töö efektiivsust ja langetada tootmise ja tööjõukulusid. Robotitel on vajalik põllul või istandustes töötamisel vaja teada oma asukohta. Käesoleva lõputöö eesmärgiks on projekteerida satelliitnavigatsioonil baseeruv positsioneerimissüsteem Eesti Maaülikooli agrorobootika töörühma poolt arendatavale autonoomsele täpisväetusplatvormile. Ülesanneteks on tutvuda satelliitnavigatsiooni tehnoloogiaga, valida sobiv riistvaraline lahendus, projekteerida süsteemi paigalduslahendus ja hinnata projekteeritud süsteemi stabiilsust. Lõputöö raames loodi ArduSimple poolt pakutavate riistvaraliste komponentide alusel põldroboti tööks sobiv GNSS-RTK riistvaraline lahendus, projekteeriti süsteemi paigalduslahendused põldrobotile ja hooldejaamale ning viidi läbi projekteeritud süsteemi stabiilsust hindavad katsed. Projekteeritud süsteem töötas testimisel katsemudelitega 1 Hz positsioneerimissageduse juures stabiilselt, saavutatavad tulemused on sentimeetritasemel. Edasises arendustegevustes saaks hinnata põldrobotil paikneva positsioneerimissüsteemi üleviimise otstarbekust võrgu-RTK lahendusele. The use of robotics in agriculture helps to increase cost-effectiveness of crop production. For robots to independently work on fields or in plantations they need to have awareness of their location. The main goal of this thesis is to develop satellite-based navigation system for a precision fertilization robot that is developed by Agri robotics research group in Estonian University of Life Sciences. The tasks are to explore the field of satellite navigation, choose appropriate hardware configuration, create system installation solution and validate stability of created navigation system. In course of this thesis a GNSS-RTK navigation system based on the hardware developed by Ardusimple was created. In addition, documentation for implementation of system was created and lastly, developed system was tested for stability. System stability tests with test models using navigation rate of 1 Hz yielded in excellent results, achieving centimeter level accuracy. For future improvements a suggestion was made to conduct analysis of whether switch over to existing GNSS-RTK correction service is favored.

Rakenduskõrgharidusõppe lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Käesoleva lõputöö eesmärk on projekteerida koostöösüsteem robotmanipulaatori UR3 ja konveieri vahel. Antud lõputöös uuriti suuremõõtmeliste detailide printimise protsessi robotiga. Projekteeriti konveier ja uuriti võimalusi ühendada robotmanipulaator ning konveier ühiseks süsteemiks. Goal of this research project is to design co-operation system between robot manipulator UR3 and a conveyor. In this dissertation, process of large scale 3D printing with robot was researched. Conveyor was designed and different methods of communications were researched to connect conveyor with robotmanipulator.

Rakenduskõrghariduse lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Ühiskond liigub üha rohkem automaatika suunas. Vajadus isesõitvate masinate järele, mis lihtsustaks inimeste tööd on suurenemas. Maaülikoolis arendatakse põldrobotit, mis oleks võimeline ise sõitma ja väetama mustikaid. Lõputöö eesmärgiks on arendada liikumissuuna alamsüsteem põldrobotile. Selleks on vaja luua tehtavad ülesanded. Töös tuuakse välja mustikakasvatuses olev tehnoloogia ja kirjeldatakse taimede kasvutingimusi. Kirjeldatakse seal olevaid probleeme ja istanduses olevaid tehnoloogilisi lahendusi. Töö osas tehakse elektriskeemid ja plaadi arendus. Arvutatakse vajalikud raja laiused. Koostatakse võimsuse arvutused ja võrreldakse maksimaalsete väärtustega. Joonestatakse mudelid. Mudelite põhjal luuakse tööjoonised. Roolisüsteemile ja juhtrauale tuuakse välja parendus lahendused. Mõõdetakse rataste pöördenurk. Koostatakse kontrollarvutused väändele. Kolmemõõtmelise printeriga prinditakse välja vajalikud kinnitused. Tarneraskuste tõttu pole võimalik täielikult süsteemi valmis saada. Saavutatakse valmis tööjoonised, skeemid ning kinnitusvahendid. Töös on esitatud parenduse ettepanekud. Society is moving more and more towards automation and the need for machines that can self-drive and ease the work of humans is on the rise. The Univerity of Life Sciences is developing a field robot that is capable of driving and fertilizing blueberries on its own. The thesis of the work is to develop machines subsystem to the direction of the movement. For that, tasks need to be defined. Blueberry plantation technology and conditions for plant growth are described, as well as problems and technical solutions. Electrical schemes and the development of the board are made. Trace width of the board is calculated. Power is calculated and compared to the maximum values. Models and techincal drawings are created. Modification options are given to steering system and control lever. Turning radius of the wheels is measured. Control calculations are done to torsion and fixtures are made by additive manufacturing. Due to supply difficulties, it was not possible to get the entire system ready. Technical drawings, schemes and fixtures were completed, and improvement proposals are given at the end

Rakenduskõrgharidusõppe lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Diplomitöö idee tulenes sellest, et PCBA tootmisettevõtetel on parandusosakondadel väga suur koormus. Seal teostatakse siiani parandusi trükkplaadil manuaalselt, mis on ajakulukas ja mille tõttu kannatavad tarneajad. Töö eesmärgiks on projekteerida automaatselt trükkplaadil komponente vahetav seade, mis lihtsustab trükkplaadikooste tootvas ettevõttes vigaste plaatide parandamist. Majandustegevus on üldise eesmärgi suhtes vajalik, aga kuna antud diplomitöö essmärgi saavutamine sellest väga ei sõltu, siis sellest räägitakse töös vähesel määral. Kõige suurem rõhk töös on elektroonikal, mis hõlmab seadme- ja samm-mootorite juhtmooduli projekteerimist ning selle komponentide ja funktsionaalsuse testimist. Teine suurem osa tööst on prototüübi mehaanika projekteerimine. Seal kajastatakse seadme mehaaniliste sõlmede projekteerimist. Diplomitöö käsitleb ka seadme kasutajaliidese tarkvaralist lahendust ja seadme juhtmooduli tarkvaraliste sõlmede kaardistamist. Edasiarendusena koostatakse prototüüp ja luuakse seadme juhtmoodulile tarkvara, peale mida masinat katsetakse PCBA tootmisettevõttes. The idea for this project came out of the problem that PCBA manufacturing companies have a lot of work at repair cell, which is because today they are still fixing failed PCBA’s manually. This is very time consuming and will cause delays in delivery times. Aim of this project is to create machine that can automatically repair components on PCB. This is going to reduce heavy load at repair cell and make repair process much easier. Economical part is important, however not very important to achieve goals of this project. Because of that economical part is described minimally. In this work most covered topic was electronics, which included main- and stepper control unit design, testing PCBAs components and testing PCBAs functionality. Also important part was mechanical design which talks about designing prototypes mechanical elements. This work also covers creation of operators user interface and mapping software solutions for main control unit. In future plan is to assemble prototype and create software for main control unit. When these steps are done prototype will be tested at PCBA manufacturing company.

Rakenduskõrgharidusõppe lõputöö Tehnotroonika õppekaval Tehastes, laborites, kauplustes suureneb nõudlus paindlikkuse järele, kasvava automaatika ja tööstus sektori eesmärgiks on kombineerida masina kiirus, täpsus, tõhusus ja inimeste oskus probleeme lahendada. Eesti Maaülikool on hankinud koostööroboti UR3 õppetöösse, mille kasutatavust on võimalik suurendada. Töö eesmärk on anda lisa võimalus õppeaine Robotitehnika põhikursuse TE.0959 läbiviimiseks. Töö käigus projekteeriti koostööroboti õpperakk konveieriga, paralleelhaarats ja vaakumhaarats. Õpperakk on mõeldud üliõpilaste praktilise kogemuse hankimiseks, automaatika ja tööstus valdkonnas. Lõputöö käigus valmis jälgimissüsteemiga konveier, pneumaatiline paralleel haarats ja vaakumhaarats. Jätkuuringutes saab välja töötada erinevaid haaratsi prototüüpe, arendada UR3 masinnägemist protsessi automatiseerimiseks ja suurendada UR3 haardeulatust. In factories, laboratories, and shops, the demand for flexibility is increasing, and the aim of the growing automation and industrial sector is to combine machines' speed, accuracy, and efficiency with people's ability to solve problems. Estonian University of Life Sciences has acquired a cooperation robot for UR3 teaching, the usability of which can be increased. The aim of the thesis is to provide additional opportunities for conducting the basic course TE.0959 in the subject of Robotics. In the course of the work, the learning cell of the cooperation robot was designed with a conveyor, a parallel gripper, and a vacuum gripper. The aim of the study cell is to offer students the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of automation and industry. A conveyor with a tracking system, a pneumatic parallel gripper, and a vacuum gripper has been created during the study. Further research can develop different gripper prototypes, develop UR3 machine vision to automate the process, and increase UR3 reach.

Magistritöö Tootmistehnika õppekaval Statistika kohaselt ületab tööstusrobotite arv 10 000 töötaja kohta Põhjamaades maailma keskmist. Soomes kasutab 10% ettevõtetest teenindus või tööstusrobotit, Eestis on see näitaja 3%, millest saab järeldada, et meil on potentsiaali tööstusrobotite kasutuse laienemisele. Käesoleva magistritöö eesmärgiks on manuaalse lõiketöötlemise protsessi robotiseerimine. Töö käigus kõrvutatakse robotiseerimist erinevate mehhaniseerimise võimalustega. Olles veendunud roboti eelistes, konstrueeritakse robotist kui põhisõlmest lähtuvalt vajalikud abiseadmed, mis võimaldavad edukalt eesmärgi saavutada. Võrreldes teiste automaatikas kasutatavate mehaaniliste lahendustega, on tööstusroboti eeliseks suur paindlikkus, mis võimaldab teostada mitmeid transport- ja töötlemisoperatsioone, võimaldades süsteemist välja jätta spetsiaalseid liikumisi vajavaid sõlmi. According to statistics, the number of industrial robots per 10 000 employees in the Nordic countries is above the global average. In Finland 10% of enterprises are using industrial or service robots, in Estonia is this figure 3%. This shows that we have the potential to expand the use of industrial robots. The aim of the Master’s thesis is to robotize manual machining process. For this purpose, industrial robot and different mechanizing options were compared. After confirmation in robot advantages, necessary equipment was designed to be able successfully robotize manual production operation. Compared robots to other mechanisms used in automation, robots are more flexible and able to perform different transportation and manufacturing tasks. This allows to use robots also for supportive tasks, instead of using extra devices to perform motions.

Magistritöö Tootmistehnika õppekaval Magistritöö raames käsitleti metoodilisi võimalusi manipulaatori kasutamiseks õppetöös. Robotitehnika arengu tulemusena on toimunud hüppeline areng õppeseadmete valdkonnas. Järjest rohkem ettevõtteid pöörab ressurssi tööstusprotsesside automatiseerimiseks, mis tähendab robotite kasutusele võtmist. Tööstusprotsesside automatiseerimiseks kasutavate seadmete kontrollimiseks vajatakse pädevat tööjõudu. Töö koosneb kolmest peatükist, kus esimeses peatükis tuuakse välja õppetöös kasutatava seadme kui ka lõppseadmete tehnilised andmed ning võimalused. Uuritakse analoogseid seadmeid ning võrreldakse neid õppetöös kasutatava uArm Swift Pro seadmega. Teises peatükis töötatakse ajurünnaku meetodil välja ideed, millest arendada labortööd robotitehnikat käsitlevates õppeainetes. Kolmandas peatükis keskendutakse seadme täiendamisele ning parendamisel erinevate lisadega nagu töölaud ning transpordikest. Master’s thesis methodical possibilities using manipulator for teaching is brought out. Due to major development in the field of robotics it has caused development in educational devices. Many companies aim their resources to automate their processes which means using robots. For using automated solutions skilled labour is needed. Thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter learning device and end effectors technical data and usage possibilities have been brought out. Similar devices are compared with terms given by manipulator uArm Swift Pro which will be used for teaching. The second chapter presents brainstorm method for developing laboratory ideas for courses such as Robotics I, Robotics II and Tehcnology of mechanical engineering. Third chapter has focus on learning device development and supplement with diferent extras like worktop and transportation case.
