The article examines the importance of constitutional principles for the development of criminal law. The main directions of application of the principles of criminal law in the criminal legislation of Ukraine are investigated. It is determined that the principles of the Criminal Law of Ukraine include the main provisions established by law or derived directly fromit, provide a clear description of the content of this branch of law and are used in the legislative and law enforcement activities of the state bodies. Using dialectical and historical methods, the general law principles of Criminal Law are analyzed. Thecontradiction problems of some criminal law institutes with the constitutional principles are revealed using the comparative method and the methods of analysis and synthesis. The conclusion focuses on the need to define the criminal procedural principles as a fundamental rule of conduct of the criminal process and the court, which permeates all stages of the process, based on the procedural coercion of the State, and which aims to guarantee obtaining suitable and admissible evidence and the performance of the functions of criminal proceedings in general.

Through a documentary methodology, the article examines the characteristics of the criminal protection of the life and health of children in Ukraine and some other countries. The problem of determining the time of the beginning of the protection of a child's life and health, is analyzed in the light of the European experience. It is noted that in Ukraine it is necessary to recognize the right to live of the child at any stage of fetal development, to ensure the criminal protection of the child before birth. This approach is enshrined in several international legal acts, as well as confirmed by legal guarantees in the legal systems of many countries around the world. In addition, the article analyzes criminal law measures to guarantee the rights and interests of the child under modern Ukrainian law. The list of socially dangerous acts against minors is a result, so reinforced criminal liability is provided for considering the interests of minors. It has been concluded that in all post-Soviet countries the components of crimes against a person's health, considering the legislator's reaction to causing harm to the health of children during their commission, are clearly divided into three separate groups.

General social measures for the prevention of crimes against the environment, which include general processes of economic development, science, technology, which create the possibility and increase the effectiveness of special criminological measures and, in contrast, do not directly affect but indirectly the criminogenic environment, eliminating or neutralizing the common, most significant and common causes of behavior criminal in the field of ecology. The article analyzes Ukraine's experience in the field of preventing crimes against the environment. It also analyzes the measures taken in the country aimed at the prevention of environmental crimes. A documentary methodology close to content analysis was used. It is concluded that liability for environmental crimes is an important component of the legal provision of environmental management, the restoration of ecological objects and the protection of the environment. Legislation on criminal liability for violation of the right to use a natural object was developed within the framework of the general legal rules on liability for violation of environmental legislation.

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of combating fraud in the field of finance, in particular, combating crimes in the field of lending. The experience of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in combating credit fraud has been studied. The experience of some European Union countries in combating financial fraud is analyzed. To achieve the goal of the paper a set of general scientific and special methods was used, such as method of system-structural analysis, dogmatic (formal-logical), historical, general sociological, comparative-legal method and others. It is concluded in the article that the rules of criminal law of Ukraine establish more severe penalties for some crimes compared to EU countries. For example, this applies to crimes in the field of money laundering. On the other hand, some offenses that do not qualify as crimes in Ukraine are recognized as criminal offenses in the EU. For example, this applies to abuses in the field of insurance. According to the results of the study, the solution of some important issues is proposed such as improvement of the current legislation in the field of credit and financial relations, adaptation of the legislation of Ukraine to international norms and standards in the system of credit and financial relations.

The article is dedicated to the study of the measures used to combat cybercrime in different countries. It is observed that the world's leading countries are actively expanding and creating units in the armed forces and intelligence services that should ensure the development of offensive capabilities in cyberspace. In particular, the operational cooperation of law enforcement agencies, such as Interpol, Europol and Eurojust, in the fight against cybercrime is being stepped up. Anti-cybercrime activities are carried out not only by individual states, but also by their blocs, including NATO. In Ukraine, unlike the developed countries of the world, measures to combat cybercrime are less developed. Despite the existence of special laws and strategies, in particular the Cyber Security Strategy of Ukraine, the fight against cybercrime is not effective due to the declarative nature of most of the provisions of this strategy. It is concluded that one of the problematic aspects of the phenomenon of cybercrime is the low level of education in information technologies of the population of Ukraine.

The article analyzes approaches to the prevention of female fraud in order to identify the best ways to combat fraud committed by women. Theoretical approaches to the measures to prevent crimes committed by women, in particular, female fraud were examined. Peculiarities of the legal regulation of the prevention of female fraud in Ukraine have been studied. The conclusion was made about the insufficiency of normative acts aimed at combating female fraud in Ukraine. In addition, the investigation revealed that measures taken in Ukraine to prevent female fraud were poor and insufficient. In parallel, the experience of the EU countries and the USA in the prevention of female fraud was analyzed in the article. The programs and methods of prevention of crimes committed by women in the USA and the EU have been studied. Based on this analysis, proposals to improve approaches to the prevention of female crime, in particular, female fraud, have been developed. In particular, the conclusion was made that preventive work among the population as well as creation of special programs to work with women would be relevant.

The article examines the history of the emergence and development of cybercrime, the specifics of the current situation in society, which contributes to an increase in the number of cybercrimes and ways of countering cybercrime. It has been established that cybercrime first appeared in the middle of the last century. This was due to the emergence and subsequent intensive growth in the number of computers, and then smartphones. However, cybercrime that exists today is significantly different from what it was in its early days. Today, the number of devices and services provided via the Internet is growing, the number of users is growing, and, accordingly, the number of cybercrimes and the level of their organization is growing. In the course of the study, the differences between the concepts of "cybercrime" and "computer crimes" were identified, as well as the main features of cybercrimes. The problems that law enforcement agencies face in the investigation and fight against cybercrimes were revealed. The factors contributing to the growth of cybercrime were also analyzed. Based on the analysis, the main directions of combating cybercrime and preventing the growth of the number of cybercrimes in society were developed.

The article is devoted to the study of special confiscation as a measure of criminal law, other than punishment, which was introduced into the legislation of Ukraine on the way of transformation and reformation of the institution of confiscation of property. The study found that the emergence of special confiscation was dictated primarily by Ukraine's choice of European integration and the need to fulfil its obligations to bring domestic criminal law in line with European standards and international legal practice in combating crime. The article notes that today the confiscation of property remains one of the most controversial measures of criminal law in both domestic and foreign law. Traditionally, in the criminal law of Ukraine, this measure played the role of one of the types of punishment. However, at the present stage of development of criminal law, the legal regulation of forced confiscation of property has undergone significant changes. Currently, this is not only a form of criminal liability, but also different from the latter, another measure of criminal law, which manifests itself in three forms, namely as: 1) special confiscation of property of an individual; 2) confiscation of property of a legal entity; 3) special confiscation of property in respect of a legal entity. The article analyzes the provisions of the current criminal legislation of Ukraine on the regulation of special confiscation as another measure of criminal law and considers the main problematic aspects of this institution in the doctrine of criminal law of Ukraine. The correlation between general confiscation and special confiscation was revealed in the article. The conclusion was drawn that these two types of confiscations are different in legal nature. Confiscation of property is a type of additional punishment, and special confiscation of property is an independent type of other measures of a criminal law nature. The main difference between the investigated institutions is that their application seizes property of different nature, namely: the subject of confiscation of property is property that belongs to the convict on the right of ownership, and in the case of special confiscation, property related to the commission of a crime is subject to confiscation.

The article examines areas of combating corruption in Ukraine, as a country with a high level of corruption, and some other countries with successful experience in combating corruption crimes. The article highlights features of state policy and criminal legal means of combating corruption crimes in Ukraine. The shortcoming of the state policy in the field of overcoming corruption were revealed, among which is the fact that Ukraine does not meet the requirements of international instruments for interaction between government and the public. The mechanism of counteraction to corruption in Ukraine is defined and the reasons of high level of corruption in Ukraine are revealed. The international experience in the fight against corruption crimes has been studied in order to identify and borrow effective experience in combating corruption. The experience of countries with a low level of corruption shows that the system of measures to prevent corruption should be based on the principles of legality, publicity, transparency, inevitability of punishment of perpetrators of corruption crimes. Based on foreign experience, recommendations for improving the anticorruption mechanism in Ukraine have been developed.

The article examines the features of the protection of credit relations by the criminal law of Ukraine. The scope of the article is to study peculiarities of credit and financial relations in Ukraine, to reveal types of crimes in the field of credit relations and specifics of their subjects, to analyze qualifying features of crimes in the field of credit activity. To achieve the purpose of the article, formal-logical and dogmatic-legal research methods were used. Using the formal-logical and dogmatic methods, credit relations as an object of legal protection in criminal law were analyzed. The characteristic features of the personality of criminals who commit crimes in the field of credit relations have been studied. Their specific differences from other types of criminals are revealed, which are manifested in the fact that people who commit crimes in the field of credit relations, as a rule, have a high social status, higher education and are financially secure. Thanks to the research conducted in the article some important features of crimes in the field of credit activity were revealed, such as the fact, that among those who commit crimes in the field of lending, there is a high proportion of women. This fact has an important meaning for the social sciences, since it underlines inequality and gender discrimination.

The relevance of the study: The relevance of this article is due to the fact that ensuring economic security is a guarantee of stable growth of the state and improving the welfare of the population. The purpose of the study: The purpose of the article is to conduct research on the legal basis for the functioning of economic security of the state and the activities of law enforcement agencies in the field of economic security. Research methods: Leading research methods are general scientific and special research methods, including methods of logic, analysis, comparison, etc. The results of the study: The results of this study are a comparative legal analysis and determination of a proposal to implement the positive experience of EU countries in the field of ensuring the economic security of Ukraine. Practical significance of the study: The significance of the obtained results is reflected in the fact that this study can serve as a basis for outlining future changes to the current legislation of Ukraine on effective economic security of Ukraine.

The article examines the features of criminal liability for transactions related to the circulation of cryptocurrencies. In order to determine the specifics of criminal violations in the field of cryptocurrency circulation, the legal nature of cryptocurrencies is studied. It is concluded that in order to properly qualify criminal offenses related to the circulation of cryptocurrencies, it is advisable to recognize cryptocurrencies as a type of property or money. The article analyzes the global approaches to the legal regulation of relations related to the circulation of cryptocurrencies. Based on the results of this analysis, it is concluded that relations regarding cryptocurrencies in most countries of the world are insufficiently regulated and are still outside of the legal field. This complicates, inter alia, the establishment of criminal liability for transactions involving the circulation of cryptocurrencies. A significant part of the article is devoted directly to the study of criminal liability for transactions involving the circulation of cryptocurrencies in different countries. The norms of the Criminal Codes, which establish liability for criminal violations in the field of cryptocurrency circulation, are analyzed. The measures that need to be implemented to ensure the control of government agencies over the circulation of cryptocurrencies and the security of all operations related to cryptocurrencies are identified.

The article looks into peculiarities of the economic crimes committed using information technologies. Different approaches to the concept of the economic crime are analyzed to reveal types of economic crimes, which can be committed with the use of information technologies. It is stated that mostly two types of economic crimes could be committed using information technologies – online fraud and forgery. Subjects and objects of a forgery committed with the use of information technologies are analyzed. Close attention is paid to the online fraud and its specific features. The classification of types of the Internet fraud is made. Some specific characteristics of certain types of the Internet fraud are given in the article. Such types of the Internet fraud as spam, carding, phishing, fraud in online games are described. The main method used in the investigation is the method of comparative analysis, which was used to reveal differences between traditional economic crimes and economic crimes committed with the use if information technologies. The general conclusion was made that economic crimes committed with help of information technologies have a number of differences compared to traditional ones. These differences determine the features of the investigation of such crimes. In particular, such features are manifested in the implementation of operational and investigative measures and investigative actions.
