The aim of home automation is to make our lives easier and to improve the quality of life. The concept of Smart Homes builds on the progressing maturity of areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. Here, natural language processing (NLP) plays a vital role since it acts as an interface between human interaction and machines. Through NLP users can either command or control devices at home even though disabled persons command or request varies from presets. An application area of AI is Natural Language Processing (NLP). Voice assistants incorporate AI using cloud computing and can communicate with the users in natural language. Voice assistants are easy to use and thus there are millions of devices that incorporate them in households nowadays. Our project aims at providing a fully automated voice based solution that our users can rely on, to perform more than just switching on/off the appliances. The user sends a command through speech to the mobile device, which interprets the message and sends the appropriate command to the specific appliance. The primary objective is to construct a useful voice-based system that utilizes AI and NLP to control all domestic applications and services and also learn the user preferences over time using machine learning algorithms.

Some 4-(substituted phenylsulfonamido)benzoic acids have been synthesized by fly-ash:H3PO3 nano catalyst catalyzed condensation of substituted benzenesulfonyl chlorides and 4-aminobenzoic acid in ultrasound irradiation conditions. The yields of the sulfonamides are more than 90%. The synthesized 4-(substituted phenylsulfonamido) benzoic acid derivatives were characterized by their physical constants, analytical and spectroscopic data. Antimicrobial activities of all sulfonamides were measured by Bauer-Kirby disc diffusion method.

Epilepsy is a chronic brain condition characterized by an uncontrollable electric blast in the brain, manifested as Epilepsy seizures. More than one percent of the world population is affected by Epilepsy seizures. This framework employs a few corporal boundaries, such as temperature, pulse, and movement limits. The device measures the electrical activity of the brain by using an EEG sensor and alerts the patient according to the electrical brain activity. This paper focuses on the development of early detection of seizures by EEG to alert the patient to changes in his/her body.

Coating of core box is normally done to enhance the surface finish of the cast component. Thermal resistance among the molten metal and mould is balance by means of mould. It is used to decrease the temperature effect through the sand. Increase in temperature effect results the following failures like, formation of pattern lines; penetrate to metal, outer layer formation, corrosion which creates failure to the surface. Major contribution of core box coating is to minimize or eliminate the above-mentioned issues. In order to enhance the coating technology first we need to go through the various types of core, core box and existing coating technology. In this review, the above-mentioned topics are discussed with enough samples for easy understanding.

Totally twelve title compounds have been synthesized by Claisen-Schmidt condensation of (E)-methyl 2-(2-(((1-acetylnaphthalen-2-yl) oxy) methyl) phenyl)-3-methoxy acrylate and substituted benzaldehydes in presence of catalytic quantity of LiOH.H2O catalyst under stirring in room temperature. The yields of the compounds are more than 92%. The synthesized titled compounds were characterized by their physical constants, IR, NMR and Mass spectral data. The spectral data such as infrared ν COs-cis, s-trans, COester, NMR chemical shifts (δ, ppm) of Hα, Hβ, Cα, Cβ, CO of enone moiety, Hβʹ and CO of acrylate moieties have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters. The antimicrobial, antioxidant and insect antifeedant activities of all synthesized compounds have been evaluated using corresponding bacterial and fungal strains, DPPH radical scavenging and Disc diffusion bio-assay of 4th instar larvae Achoea Janata L with castor-leaf discs.

Usage of Hybrid nanocomposite materials provides a greater opportunity to replace the conventional materials due to their properties such as light weight and high strength to based on weight ratio. In this synergitic study, nanosized clay particle and layered double hydroxide particles are used. nanoclay and LDH particles were mixed on the bases of weight percentage (1wt% to 5wt%) by ultra sonication technique. The composite material was fabricated by one of the most common method known as hand lay-up technique. The composite materials was prepared in the form of plate with 4mm of thickness.The characterization of tensile and flexural property of the nanoclay, LDH and combination of both was analysis by tensile test using universal testing machine and three point bending test respectively. The tensile and three point bending test specimens were cut to size as per ASTM standard.The morphology of composite was studied using SEM analysis.

An electrical power system network consists of number of buses, individual elements coupled together and to form a big and complex network which have the capable of generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy over large environmental areas. In order to satisfy the increasing power demand, the power system network is developing each and every day. The power demand is reduced either by install the new generating stations, or by extending the range of the existing loadability limits. As a result, the existing lines are overloaded than ever before and to reducing voltage stability. So instability of voltage is a major issue which attracting worldwide interest because of its result of voltage collapse. In earlier, power system stabilizers (PSS) are used for improving small signal stability. FACTS controllers are currently being incorporated with the power system for dynamic performances. In this project, STATCOM is proposed for improving voltage stability. The IEEE 14 bus system is taken and it is built in MATLAB software. By connecting STATCOM, voltage profile and loadability limits are improved. Optimal location of STATCOM has to be found by PSO algorithm technique. The results are verified through waveforms using MATLAB SOFTWARE.

The solid acidic nanocatalyst fly-ash:H3PO4 was prepared and characterized by FT-IR, SEM, EDS and TEM analysis. This catalyst was utilized for aldol condensation, coupling and cyclization reaction. The effect of catalytic activity of this fly-ash:H3PO4 nanocatalyst was studied with the obtained yield of products under solvent-free conditions. In this synthetic reaction the obtained yields were more than 95 %.

A series of Schiff’s bases have been synthesized by fly-ash:p-toluenesulfonic acid (fly-ash:PTS) catalyzed microwave assisted oxidative coupling of arylamines and substituted benzaldehydes under solvent-free condition. The synthesized Schiff’s bases are characterized by their physical constants, analytical and spectroscopic data. The group frequencies of imines such as IR (v, cm–1) and NMR (δ, ppm) spectral data was correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. The antimicrobial activities of these Schiff’s bases have been studied using Bauer-Kirby method.

A series of diarylpropenones is synthesized under microwave-assisted solvent-free conditions using FeCl3/bentonite as a stable acid catalyst system which can be reused several times without iron leaching.

The power quality has degraded due to the increase of power electronic equipments for developing efficient interfacing of renewable energy to the grid. The wide uses of non-linear loads are responsible for harmonic problems and have a significant impact on the quality of power supply. The renewable energy source is directly connected to the grid which will inject the harmonics in the power grid and also produce the power quality problems in the power grid. The main objective of this paper is to design the shunt active filter with modified control algorithm interface to the grid for compensating the reactive power and harmonic current elimination. Hysteresis current controlled Voltage-Source Inverter is used to realize the shunt active filter. The shunt active filter with modified controller's effectiveness is analyzed by considering two types of nonlinear loads. One is AC voltage controller fed induction machine with diode bridge rectifier controlled R load and another one as AC voltage controller fed RL load with diode bridge rectifier controlled R load. The shunt active filter using modified control algorithm proposed for improve the power quality of grid, reduce the percentage of THD values and the control algorithm response for dynamic load variation are verified through simulation.

Background: This study aims to synthesis a series of (E)-N-(substituted benzylidene)-9-ethyl-9H-carbazole-3-amines, using solvent-free fly-ash:perchloric acid catalyst under microwave irradiation. To then characterize them using analytical, physical and spectroscopic data. Methods: Solvent-free microwave assisted (E)imines were adopted for the synthesis of (E)-N-(substituted benzylidene)-9-ethyl-9H-carbazole-3-amine, using fly-ash:perchloric acid as a catalyst. They were characterized by IR, NMR and mass spectroscopic data. The IR and NMR spectral data was correlated with substituent constants, F and R parameters using Hammett equation to study the effect of the substituents. Results: The yield of the synthesized imines were more than 75%. The spectral data of these (E)-N-(substituted benzylidene)-9-ethyl-9H-carbazole-3-amines had been correlated using single and multi-regression analysis. A series of Schiff’s bases (aryl E-imines) have been derived from the perchloric acid catalyzed condensation of aryl amines and substituted benzaldehydes. The yield of the Schiff’s bases are more than 80%. The synthesized Schiff’s bases are characterized by their physical constants, analytical and spectroscopical data. The antibacterial activities of these Schiff’s bases have been studied using Bauer-Kirby method.
