Typical black hole binaries in outburst show spectral states and transitions, characterized by a clear connection between the inflow onto the black hole and outflow from its vicinity. The transient stellar mass black hole binary V404 Cyg apparently does not fit in this picture. Its outbursts are characterized by intense flares and intermittent low-flux states, with a dynamical range of several orders of magnitude on timescales of hours. During the 2015 June-July X-ray outburst a joint Swift and INTEGRAL observing campaign captured V404 Cyg in one of these low-flux states. The simultaneous Swift/XRT and INTEGRAL/JEM-X/ISGRI spectrum is reminiscent of that of obscured/absorbed AGN. It can be modeled as a Comptonization spectrum, heavily absorbed by a partial covering, high-column density material ($N_\textrm{H} \approx 1.4\times10^{24}\,\textrm{cm}^{-2}$), and a dominant reflection component, including a narrow Iron-K$\alpha$ line. Such spectral distribution can be produced by a geometrically thick accretion flow able to launch a clumpy mass outflow, likely responsible for both the high intrinsic absorption and the intense reflection emission observed. Similarly to what happens in certain obscured AGN, the low-flux states might not be solely related to a decrease in the intrinsic luminosity, but could instead be caused by an almost complete obscuration of the inner accretion flow., Comment: 13 pages, 2 figure, 4 tables; accepted by MNRAS on 20/02/2017; with many thanks to the second anonymous referee that accepted to review this paper after the first referee disappeared

The newly discovered X-ray transient Swift J174540.7-290015 (ATel #8649) was observed within the field-of-view of the IBIS/ISGRI and JEM-X instruments on-board INTEGRAL on 2016 February 11 from 14:12 to 17:22 (UTC), while the satellite was pointing toward the Galactic Bulge (ATel #438).

ISOCAM was used to perform a deep survey through three gravitationally lensing clusters of galaxies. Nearly seventy sq. arcmin were covered over the clusters A370, A2218 and A2390. We present maps and photometry at 6.7 & 14.3 microns, showing a total of 145 mid-IR sources and the associated source counts. The 15 micron counts reach the faintest level yet recorded. All sources have counterparts in the optical or near-IR. Models of the clusters were used to correct for the effects of lensing, which increases the sensitivity of the survey. Seven of fifteen SCUBA sources were detected at 15 microns. Five have redshift between 0.23 & 2.8, with a median of 0.9. The field sources were counted to a lensing-corrected sensitivity of 30 microJy at 15 microns, and 14 microJy at 7 microns. The counts, corrected for completeness, contamination by cluster sources and lensing, confirm and extend findings of an excess by a factor of ten in the 15 micron population with respect to source models with no evolution. Source redshifts are mostly between 0.4 and 1.5. For the counts at 7 microns, integrating from 14 microJy to 460 microJy, we resolve 0.49+/-0.2 nW.m^(-2).sr^(-1) of the infrared background light (IBL) into discrete sources. At 15 microns we include the counts from other ISOCAM surveys to integrate from 30 microJy to 50 mJy, two to three times deeper than unlensed surveys, to resolve 2.7+/-0.62 nW.m^(-2).sr^(-1) of the IBL. These values are 10% and 55%, respectively, of the upper limit to the IBL, derived from photon-photon pair production of the TeV gamma rays from BL-Lac sources on the IBL photons. However, recent detections of TeV gamma rays from the z=0.129 BL Lac H1426+428 suggest that the 15 micron background reported implies substantial absorption of TeV photons from that source., 35 pages, 17 figures, to appear in Astronomy and Astrophysics, full paper with high-resolution figures available at http://www.iso.vilspa.esa.es/science/pub/2003/

As part of its regular monitoring of the Galactic Bulge (see ATel #438) INTEGRAL observed this region of the sky on September 13, 2011, between UTC 9:14:50 and 12:56:26. Both the JEM-X and the IBIS/ISGRI instruments detect the transient neutron star low-mass X-ray binary KS 1741-293 at the following flux levels: JEM-X: 6 ±3 mCrab (3-10 keV) and 14 ±6 mCrab (10-25 keV) ISGRI: 11 ±2 mCrab (18-40 keV) and 13 ±2 mCrab (40-100 keV) We note that the activity of this source already started two weeks ago as has been reported by Linares et al.

During INTEGRAL Galactic Bulge monitoring (ATel #438; Kuulkers et al. 2007, A&A, 466, 595) observations performed on April 16, 2012, between 5:12 and 8:53 (UTC), the twin X-ray monitor JEM-X detected an X-ray burst starting at UTC 8:37:09 from the position: RA= 271.020° DEC=-34.344° with an error radius of 1.2' (at 95% confidence level). This position lies only 57'' from the unclassified X-ray source 1RXS J180408.9-342058, and we tentatively associate the origin of the burst with this source. The burst peak flux reaches 3.2 Crab (9.3 ×10-8 erg/cm2/s) in the 3-25 keV band.

During INTEGRAL Bulge monitoring (ATel #438; Kuulkers et al. 2007, A&A, 466, 595) observations performed on March 23, 2011, between 6:52 and 10:33 (UTC), the twin X-ray monitor JEM-X detected an X-ray transient source at the position: RA= 266.20 (17h 44m 48s) DEC=-29.85 (-29d 51' 00") (J2000) with an uncertainty of 1.3 arcmin at 95% confidence level. The Galactic coordinates are: (l, b)= (359.13, -0.32).
