Acute sinusitis is mostly caused by mites which are commonly found in home environments. Chronic sinus infection will cause the illness to move to the eyes and brain. In this research, nasal care face mask is introduced as one of the ways to reduce sinus infection. This nasal care face mask added herbs as their main ingredients. The ingredients include cinnamon, garlic, turmeric, ginger, cloves, and lemongrass. The herbs can act as a natural antibiotic that helps relieve the symptoms of the sinusitis. The nasal care face mask aims to provide a therapy option for people who suffer from sinusitis and allergies. This product brought a new insight to the user as the integration between the necessities of current condition with remediation is being incorporated. The niche market of the consumer is users who have sinus and allergic problems. A hedonic test is conducted on 30 respondents by using Google Form comprising of five characteristics which are fragrance, convenience, effectiveness, affordability, and overall product acceptance. Each respondent is served with the usual face mask and nasal care face mask. The questionnaires are analyzed and as a result, scores above average are obtained for convenience, effectiveness, and affordability characteristics. The result shows that the respondents feel comfortable, and the product has potential for sinus therapy.

Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji bidang fonologi khususnya dalam mengenal pasti jenis-jenis fonem konsonan serta menghuraikan pengguguran konsonan yang berlaku dalam dialek Kelantan bagi sub dialek Pasir Mas. Untuk mencapai objektif ini, data dikumpul dengan menggunakan kaedah kualitatif di mana kajian ini telah menggunakan kaedah temu bual dengan menggunakan senarai kata yang disediakan mengikut domain-domain tertentu melalui senarai Swadesh yang telah diubah suai dan memfokuskan kepada budaya benda sahaja. Temu bual ini melibatkan dua orang responden yang berlainan jantina dan merupakan penutur jati dialek Kelantan Pasir Mas di mana mereka tidak pernah berimigrasi ke luar negeri. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahawa dalam subdialek Pasir Mas, secara keseluruhannya jenis fonem dan jumlah fonem konsonan adalah 19 iaitu [p, b, t, d, k, g, l, ʧ, ʤ, s, h, m, n, ŋ, ɲ, ɣ] dan tiga segmen konsonan terbitan, iaitu hentian glotis [ʔ] dan geluncuran [j, w]. Selain itu, berdasarkan analisis data terhadap fonem konsonan, dialek Kelantan sememangnya banyak mengalami pengguguran konsonan di mana kebanyakan fonem konsonan banyak mengalami pengguguran di awal, di tengah kata dan di akhir kata. Antara fonem yang banyak mengalami pengguguran ialah konsonan likuida /l/ dan /r/ serta konsonan nasal /m, n, ŋ/. Selain itu juga, fonem lain juga dilihat banyak mengalami pengguguran berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, antaranya ialah konsonan /h, s/. This study was carried out to study the field of phonology, especially in consonant phonemes as well as consonant reduction that occurs in the Kelantanese sub dialect of Pasir Mas. To achieve the research objectives, data was compiled using qualitative methods via interviews and the usage of a word list that included specific domains of the Swadesh list which was modified to focus on aspects of material culture. The interview involves 2 respondents of different genders and are native speakers of the Pasir Mas dialect who have never migrated to foreign countries. The findings of this study show that the sub dialect of Pasir Mas has a total of 19 consonants - [p, b, t, d, k, g, l, ʧ, ʤ, s, h, m, n, ŋ, ɲ, ɣ] and three other pulmonic consonants which include glottal stop [ʔ] and glides [j, w]. Aside from that, based on the analysis for consonant phonemes, the Kelantan dialect has experienced countless of consonant reduction whereby must consonant phonemes are reduced in the initial medial or final cluster of the word. One of the most common reductions are the liquid consonants /l/ and /r/ as well as nasal consonants /m, n, ŋ/. This article examines the problem of uncertain quantities and quality conditions of used-products obtained from the customer-stream, third-party-stream & mixed-stream on remanufacturing cycle-time under three different remanufacturing resources policies. Simulation technique is used to model a remanufacturing system with uncertain quantities and quality conditions of used-products obtained from the customer-stream, third-party-stream and mixed-stream under three different remanufacturing resource policies. Findings show that the quantities of used-products either from the customer-stream or third-party-stream affect the remanufacturing cycle-time. For used-products form the mixed-stream, the percentage of used-products from the customer-stream greatly affects the remanufacturing cycle-time. The different remanufacturing resource policies also affect the remanufacturing cycle-time. It can be established and concluded that the performance of a remanufacturing system is affected by the uncertain quantities and quality conditions of used-products.

This article discusses new methods for the analyses of program outcome measurements of an engineering undergraduate program, enabling a robust effort to continually improve the quality of the program. The analyses were conducted on an undergraduate engineering program at University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), based on program outcomeachievements of 80 students undertaking selected courses from 2015–2019. Three techniques were utilized: i.e., graphical visualization of data using boxplots, association analysis using Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, and consistency analysis using Cronbach’s alpha. Using these techniques, the authors identified trendsamong the courses measuring the same program outcome. Boxplots are very effective in gaining an overview of the achievements of courses measuring the same program outcome, and in highlighting outliers and anomaliesin the data. It was also found that the Cronbach’s alpha result is coherent with that of the rank correlation coefficient. The techniques reported in this study can be applied to enhance data analysis for quality improvement of any academic program focusing on outcome-based education. Therefore, the study presented in this paper is both relevant and valuable to engineering programs working towards obtaining international accreditation.

This research was carried out to study the efficiency of O3/S2O82- system in removal of Reactive Red 120 (RR120) dye sample. Different operating parameter such as pH, initial dye concentration and persulfate dosage were studied to evaluate the performance on removing colour and COD. The removal of colour and COD achieved higher efficiency at pH 7, 100 mg/L of initial dye concentration and persulfate dosage of 5 g S2O82-/1 g RR120. O3/S2O82- with the most effective conditions experienced effective decolourization and degradation of organic pollutants than O3 only. Furthermore, it achieved faster breakdown of azo bond and aromatic groups than O3 after treatment as observed with UV-Vis absorption spectra. The FT-IR analysis obtained new absorption peak that represents alkenes after 20 min of O3 treatment whereas mostly of the absorption bands of O3/S2O82- flattened.

The effects of silane (3-aminopropyl triethoxy silane aqueous solution) treatment on the mechanical properties on rice husk particle board were investigated. Using phenol formaldehyde as the binder, the rice husks were treated at three different concentrations of silane (0.5 wt%, 2 wt%, 5 wt%) and untreated rice husk was set as control. The samples were characterized using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), 3-point bending test and water absorption behavior in accordance to ASTM1037. FTIR analysis was performed to verify the presence of the characteristic functional groups of untreated rice husk and silane treated husk. The results show that the mechanical properties were increased with silane treatment concentration. The swelling characteristics also improved as the concentration of silane increases less water were absorbed. Surface morphology of rice husk shows that the surface of the composites become rougher as the concentration of treatment was increased for better adhesion between fibers and the matrix.
