Bread is a food product that represents an important element in human nutrition, considered a convenient type of food, being consumed daily in large quantities in many parts of the world. Adding functional ingredients in bakery products was highly researched lately, because of their ability in the reduction of some chronic diseases besides improving of basic nutritional functions. The aim of the present paper was to obtain bread with different quantities of organic dried sea buckthorn powder (Sorana variety), as functional ingredient. For sample characterization, some phisico-chemical (dry matter %, aw) and nutritional parameters (antioxidant activity, total phenolic content) were determined, as well as sensorial analysis. The study obtained promising results regarding the use of sea buckthorn powder as ingredient in bread making.

The Covid-19 pandemic has radically changed the way people comprehend the concept of ,,fundamental right”. Without previously planning on this, we have been witnesses to an apparent ,,violation” of some rights we do not only consider to be natural, but also mandatory for any democratic society. Being worried about the effects it might have on health, state institutions have taken the decision to restrict certain liberties, be it totally, or partially. Moreover, people have had their right to circulate limited, while others could not benefit from medical services, due to the overload that has affected sanitary institutions. Given this point of view, it is mandatory to analyze the legal boundaries that have to be taken into consideration, when talking about these decisions, so that legal matters be respected, even though, there have been some limitations put in place at the moment.

This paper presents the results obtained by INMA Bucharest, following a research project, in which a technology for harvesting and storing industrial hemp was developed. The equipment for harvesting green hemp stalks intended for this technology was tested in an experimental plot grown with Dacia - Secuieni hemp. Operating indices (actual torque at the power take-off, traction force at drawbar, total effective power to operate the equipment, working speed, effective working capacity) and working qualitative indices (stalk cutting height at lower knife and upper knife, degree of stalk cutting, stalk diameter, the average length of the stalk cut without inflorescence). As a result of the analysis of the values obtained for the operating indices and qualitative working indices, a series of pertinent conclusions and observations resulted, which will help guide harvesting and storage practices to ensure quality requirements for hemp fibre production are met.

One of the main factors in the poultry house is maintaining a standardized microclimate. The quality of the product output in the final result depends precisely on the quality indicators of the air parameters. Poultry during its maintenance requires significant efforts and technological solutions. In this regard, authors improved microclimate system in air environment of the poultry house by installing exhaust fans on the side wall in a total number of 8 units. CFD modeling using ANSYS Fluent is a powerful tool for predicting the air flow scheme in a poultry house and is considered an alternative to experimental studies. Based on the obtained results of CFD modeling, it was established that the valves located at a height of 330 mm from the ceiling work most efficiently. Pressure drop for the inlet valves is 45.85 Pa. Air velocity at the inlet of the supply valves is equal to 9.17 m/s. Air velocity at a height of 0.7 m from the floor level varies within 0.57 m/s, the temperature is 9.91 °С.

The current research focuses on investigating several generations of graduates to observe the level of absorption of graduates in the labor market in the context of improvements in educational policies. A longitudinal research design was used, a panel study with a prospective design. The research method was a questionnaire-based social survey. The results show that there are significant generational differences regarding the level of assimilation in the labor market, the degree of employment in the field of studies, and the level of satisfaction of the participants. Gender differences were observed in the timing of participants' jobs. Also, labor market absorption is dependent on the field of study, despite educational policies.

Several studies have shown how mental health could be affected during the COVID-19 pandemic, which led us to wonder about the psychological impact that the initial period of lockdown could have. We conducted a multicentric study that sought to describe, compare, and analyze the association between perceived stress, coping strategies and sociodemographic characteristics in a snowball-style convenience sample of 1169 participants from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, and Spain who responded to an online survey. There were differences in perceived stress and coping strategies between countries and depending on sociodemographic characteristics. The variables positively associated with perceived stress were the coping strategies alcohol-drug use, focus on emotions and venting, being a woman, and living in Brazil, Italy, and Spain. The variables negatively associated with perceived stress were planning and active coping, positive reinterpretation, being over 45 years old, and being a worker. These results contribute to understanding the stress responses to lockdown and help identify vulnerability factors in order to design prevention and intervention programs. Background and Aims: Focal liver lesions (FLLs) are defined as abnormal solid or liquid masses differentiated from normal liver, frequently being clinically asymptomatic. The aim of this systematic review is to provide a comprehensive overview of current artificial intelligence (AI) applications, deep learning systems and convolutional neural networks, capable of performing a completely automated diagnosis of FLLs. Methods: We searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and WILEY databases using predefined keywords. Articles were screened for relevant publications about AI applications capable of automated diagnosis of FLLs. The search terms included: (focal liver lesions OR FLLs OR hepatic focal lesions OR liver focal lesions OR liver tumor OR hepatic tumor) AND (artificial intelligence OR machine learning OR neural networks OR deep learning OR automated diagnosis OR ultrasound OR US OR computer scan OR CT OR magnetic resonance imaging OR MRI OR computer-aided diagnosis OR automated computer tomography OR automated magnetic imaging). Results: Our search identified a total of 32 articles analyzing complete automated imagistic diagnosis of FLLs, out of which 14 studies analyzing liver ultrasound images, 8 studies analyzing computer tomography images and 10 studies analyzing images obtained from magnetic resonance imaging. Conclusions: We found significant evidence demonstrating that implementing a complete automated system for FLLs diagnosis using AI-based applications is currently feasible. Various automated AI-based applications have been analyzed. However, there is no clear evidence about the superiority of any of the systems.

The method of transporting cement with the help of an air jet through pipes is very practical and reliable. However, improper dimensioning of the constructive and functional parameters can lead to improper functioning, to cement agglomerations in certain areas of the route configuration. In order to be able to know the problem areas and geometries, in this paper a comparative, analytical and virtual study of cement transport through a pipeline route, known as geometry and dimensions, was made. Analytical calculation showed that a floating speed of cement particles of 23.45 m/s, with an air flow rate of 0.155 m3/s, is needed to be able to transport a quantity of 40 t/h (11.11 kg/s) of cement. The virtual study done in Flow Simulation showed the behavior of cement particles during transport. The virtual behavior is similar to the real one, with cement particles tending to settle in bends and on long stretches of horizontal pipes. The behavior of the air-cement mixture in the separation cyclone is well exemplified by the virtual simulation. The separation of those two components is well represented and conforms to the real phenomenon.

The field of research considered in this work is that of mechanisms generating inverse curves. We were motivated to approach this field, proposing variants of mechanisms based on Artobolevsky’s inversor, in blocking conditions, due to the lack of recent applications related to inversor mechanisms that draw curves other than straight lines. Based on Crawford’s inversor, Artobolevsky’s inversor is structurally and kinematically analysed in what follows. Hence, we carried out the kinematic analysis and simulation of four inversor mechanisms derived from Artobolevsky’s inversor, which draw different initial curves (a circle, a straight line, an ellipse and an Archimedes’ spiral) were performed. Inverse curves were generated under limited operating conditions due to geometrical dimensions and kinematic parameters. Given the researchers’ increasing interest in the development of applications related to inversor mechanisms (in fields such as: robotics, machine tools, visual arts and symbolic languages), as well as expanding databases of planar and spatial mechanisms, it is suggested that there is a need to create new mechanisms similar to those studied in this paper and to analyse their mode of operation.

Recently, Brentuximab Vedotin (BV) has emerged as an important therapy not only for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, but also for CD30-positive T cell lymphomas. Although anemia and thrombocytopenia are common myelosuppressive side effects, to our knowledge, this is the first described case of Evans Syndrome associated with BV therapy. We present the case of a 64-year-old female, diagnosed with relapsed Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma Not Otherwise Specified (PTCL-NOS), who, after receiving six cycles of BV, developed authentic severe autoimmune hemolytic anemia with strong positive direct anti-globulin (Coombs) test, simultaneously associated with severe immune thrombocytopenia. The patient was unresponsive to systemic corticotherapy, but fully recovered after a course of IV immunoglobulin.

Antimicrobial resistance is a global public health issue and one of the most serious threats to the mankind today. Some bacterial strains have acquired resistance to most antimicrobial drugs and, therefore, new antibacterial agents that would overcome resistant strains are needed. In 2017, the World Health Organization published a list of priority antimicrobial-resistant pathogens. Most of these agents are gram-negative bacteria. Due to their structure, the gram-negative bacteria are more resistant to antimicrobials than gram-positive bacteria and cause significant morbidity and mortality worldwide. The main resistance mechanisms are: restricted drug absorption, modification of the target attack, inactivation of the antimicrobial drug by production of hydrolyzing enzymes and active drug efflux. These mechanisms may be innate or acquired by microorganisms, and understanding those mechanisms may create new treatment options for infectious pathology and may contribute to the development of new antimicrobial drugs that counter the microbial attempts to become resistant.

The article shows the data which have been found through a research on a sample of 286 adolescents from three high schools in The Braila County, Romania. There have been used several sequences as working tools: one for measuring the intensity of bullying and victimization behavior, another for measuring the level of self-esteem and the third for measuring the level of personality traits: extraversion, psychoticism, neuroticism, behavioral deviance and dissimulation. Taking into consideration the relationship between bullying and self-esteem, it has been shown that there is no statistically significant correlation between self-esteem and bullying behavior. Therefore it has been proved a statistically significant correlation between self-esteem and victimization but an inverse one. The case study conducted in a humanities class, in a high school with top-class students, composed mostly of teenage girls, demonstrated that most of the girl-students involved in acts of harassment-intimidation had high self-esteem. All the investigated personality traits generate statistically significant correlations with either bullying or victimization or both bullying relationship components. Stroke is a major health problem worldwide, with numerous health, social, and economic implications for survivors and their families. One simple answer to this problem would be to ensure the best rehabilitation with full social reintegration. As such, a plethora of rehabilitation programs was developed and used by healthcare professionals. Among them, modern techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation and transcranial direct current stimulation are being used and seem to bring improvements to poststroke rehabilitation. This success is attributed to their capacity to enhance cellular neuromodulation. This modulation includes the reduction of the inflammatory response, autophagy suppression, antiapoptotic effects, angiogenesis enhancement, alterations in the blood-brain barrier permeability, attenuation of oxidative stress, influence on neurotransmitter metabolism, neurogenesis, and enhanced structural neuroplasticity. The favorable effects have been demonstrated at the cellular level in animal models and are supported by clinical studies. Thus, these methods proved to reduce infarct volumes and to improve motor performance, deglutition, functional independence, and high-order cerebral functions (i.e., aphasia and heminegligence). However, as with every therapeutic method, these techniques can also have limitations. Their regimen of administration, the phase of the stroke at which they are applied, and the patients’ characteristics (i.e., genotype and corticospinal integrity) seem to influence the outcome. Thus, no response or even worsening effects were obtained under certain circumstances both in animal stroke model studies and in clinical trials. Overall, weighing up risks and benefits, the new transcranial electrical and magnetic stimulation techniques can represent effective tools with which to improve the patients’ recovery after stroke, with minimal to no adverse effects. Here, we discuss their effects and the molecular and cellular events underlying their effects as well as their clinical implications.

Aim: Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. Plasma biomarkers have long been used to evaluate physiological or pathological processes and to make predictions about the outcome of stroke patients. The current systematic review is focused on genetic plasma biomarkers as a new potential prognostic indicator for post-stroke recovery. The aim of the present systematic review is to assess the potential of genetic plasma biomarkers associated with stroke to predict post-stroke recovery. Methods: The search strategy used PubMed and Web of Science databases to identified 166 studies that investigated genetic plasma biomarkers in patients with stroke between 2017 and 2021. However, only 21 of them met the inclusion criteria. Results: The identified genetic biomarkers can be divided into: (i) serum/plasma circular RNA (circRNA) associated with stroke onset or recurrence (5; 23.80%), (ii) genetic polymorphisms associated with the atherosclerotic process and stroke recurrence (6; 28.57%), (iii) serum/plasma long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) levels involved in immunity/inflammatory processes (4; 19.04%), (iv) marker of DNA methylation associated with stroke onset and outcome (3; 14.28%), and (v) proteins and pathways of stroke identified by serum/ plasma proteomics/genomics analysis (3; 14.28%). Conclusions: Overall, more than 100 potential biomarkers were found and the data suggest that combinations of plasma genetic biomarkers might be used as a better predictor for stroke.

Background: Metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) is an aggressive cancer characterised by an increased recurrence rate and an inadequate response to treatment. This study aimed to investigate the importance of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a prognostic marker for long-term survival in patients with mRCC. Methods: We retrospectively analysed data from 74 patients with mRCC treated at our medical centre with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common malignancy in children. Despite remarkable improvements in the treatment of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia over last years, relapse still carries a poor prognosis with considerable morbidity and mortality. New immunotherapeutic approaches will change the way we treated our patients and the results we had. Blinatumomab is a bispecific T-cell-engaging antibody indicated for the treatment of relapsed/refractory B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia. The use of Blinatumomab in relapsed B-cell ALL has shown promising effects, especially as a bridging tool to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The therapy results for patients in the high risk group remain far from optimal due to refractoriness to chemotherapy, death from infectious complications, as well as acute chemotherapy toxicity. This article demonstrates the results of our experience of using Blinatumomab in children with the high-risk group relapsed B-cell ALL treated according to the ALL-REZ 2016 protocol. The study was approved by the Independent Ethics Committee and the Scientific Council of the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology. The efficacy and toxicity of innovational blocks with the use of fludarabine and clofarabine with subsequent Blinatumomab infusion are shown. And we present the efficacy of autologous CD3+ lymphocytes infusion once a week during the continuous blinatumomab therapy. Also we demonstrate the results of using Blinatumomab for the treatment of patients with refractory to the first line therapy relapsed B-lymphoblastic leukemia and patients with a second relapse of B-cell ALL. The first line therapy in these patients was carried out according to the ALL-REZ 2014 protocol. Our results show an improved reduction in minimal residual disease in patients with refractory relapsed B-cell ALL as well as an increased event free survival in children with the high-risk group relapsed B-cell ALL.

Although the manufacturers of various electronic components, including pressure sensors, provide us with their operating characteristic, it is necessary to establish it accurately. In this context, the paper presents the results obtained following the design and construction of an experimental laboratory stand intended for the experimental determination of the operating characteristics of differential pressure sensors.

On a wide range of natural language processing and information retrieval tasks, transformer-based models, particularly pre-trained language models like BERT, have demonstrated tremendous effectiveness. Due to the quadratic complexity of the self-attention mechanism, however, such models have difficulties processing long documents. Recent works dealing with this issue include truncating long documents, in which case one loses potential relevant information, segmenting them into several passages, which may lead to miss some information and high computational complexity when the number of passages is large, or modifying the self-attention mechanism to make it sparser as in sparse-attention models, at the risk again of missing some information. We follow here a slightly different approach in which one first selects key blocks of a long document by local query-block pre-ranking, and then few blocks are aggregated to form a short document that can be processed by a model such as BERT. The virus may be cured with a blow of reasoning or a Nuclear War, which may act as a supreme cure for the Planet, making it a better place, ready to roll the dices again and in 50 Million years to produce new evolved species, able to take the destiny in their hands and cure themselves. Given the fact that worldwide the aging population continues to reach new peaks, there is a pressing need to explore if the labor force frame can be extended for older employees reaching 65 and beyond. Mandatory age retirement dominated the previous Industrial Revolution. From this point onwards, the Fourth Industrial Revolution will question for sure if a potential context for facilitating longer careers is necessary on one hand or if postponing retirement is realistic on the other hand or not. The present article explores in some manner certain answers to these questions by taking into account the rise of flexible work arrangements and their daily impact and by also taking into account the changes visible today when it comes to work-related skills.

Pulau Morotai merupakan kawasan pengembangan budidaya rumput laut. Namun saat ini terdapat kendala yang dihadapi oleh pembudidaya yaitu penyakit ice-ice dan pengelolaan hasil. Upaya pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan potensi budidaya rumput laut di pulau kecil secara optimal dapat dilakukan melalui pembinaan usaha kecil, menegah dan mikro (UMKM). Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan pendampingan dalam proses pembudidayaan rumput laut yang baik, sedangkan manfaat yang didapat dari pengabdian ini yaitu diharapkan dapat menghasilkan bibit yang berkelanjutan serta dapat menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan bagi masyarakat pesisir. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian ini dilakukan di Desa Koloray Kecamatan Morotai Selatan, Kabupaten Pulau Morotai Maluku Utara. Subjek dalam kegiatan ini adalah kelompok tani Rumput Laut Desa Koloray. Proses pelaksanaan pengabdian ini meliputi: pemetaan potensi lahan budidaya, pemetaaan aspek SDM masyarakat, sosialisasi program, serta pelatihan penguatan kelembagaaan dalam pelaksanaan budidaya rumput laut. Hasil kegiatan ini dilakukan pemetaan lokasi budidaya rumput laut sehingga diperoleh lokasi yang pernah dikakukan penanaman, dengan mempertimbangkan aksebilitas, luasan daerah penanaman dan keterlindungan dari gelombang, selain itu dilakukan pengamatan kualitas perairan diantaranya parameter suhu, salinitas, pH, kecerahan, kedalaman dan dasar perairan yang dinilai cocok sesuai kualifikasi baik. Untuk keberlanjutan dan keberhasilan dalam usaha maka dilakukan juga penguatan kelembagaan dalam menjalankan sebuah usaha serta melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini masyarakat, terutama kepada kelompok pembudidaya telah mampu menentukan pemelihan lokasi, pemeilihan metode budidaya serta mampu mengatasi masalah utama budidaya rumput laut, dalam hal ini ikan beronang yaitu dengan merubah metode dari patok dasar ke metode rakit jaring apung.

The study gravitated around the institution of the Ombudsman or Avocatul Poporului – the name that the Romanian constituent opted. The constitutional regulation can be found in Chapter IV of Title II - "Fundamental rights, freedoms and duties", and not in Title III - "Public authorities". The constituent legislator regulated the People’s Advocate institution distinctly and beyond the three powers - legislative, executive and judicial, with the aim of supporting the achievement of balance of powers in the state, for the benefit of individuals and of their rights that People’s Advocate is required to defend. On June 16th, 2021, the Romanian Parliament, during the joint session of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, adopted Decision no. 36/16.06.2021 for the revocation of Mrs. Renate Weber from the position of People's Advocate. After the day on which the People's Advocate was revoked from her position, one of the parliamentary parties filed an unconstitutionality notification concerning Parliament Decision no. 36/2021, registered at the Constitutional Court of Romania under number 5118 of June 17th, 2021, thus constituting File no. 2097L/2/2021.

This study follows the behaviour of seven genotypes of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum), cultivated on the sandy soils of Dăbuleni, with the aim of diversifying the range of plants tolerant to climatic factors in southern Oltenia. Observation of vegetative characteristics such as plant height, number of sympodia, number of flowers in the first decade of flowering and quantitative characteristics such as boll weight, fibre weight, seed weight and number of seeds / plant were the object of the study. Research on cotton plant development was correlated with climatic data recorded by the weather station of Dăbuleni RDSPCS, during the growing season from plant sowing in the field to boll formation. Following the study and showing positive results, The Beli-Lom genotype stood out in terms of flowering yield and fibre percentage, and the Cirpan-539 and Beli-Iskar genotypes had positive vegetative growth yield.
