The business environment is complex and changeable, which posed challenges for leaders to focus on improving individual creativity. Drawing on the conservation of resources theory, this study investigated the negative impact of facades of conformity on individual creativity by focusing on the mediating role of emotional exhaustion and the moderating role of organizational political climate. The data were collected from 335 employees of different industries in Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi and other regions in China. Results indicate that (1) facades of conformity has a significantly negative impact on individual creativity; (2) there is a mediation of emotional exhaustion in the relationship between facades of conformity and individual creativity; and (3) organizational political climate significantly moderate the relationships between facades of conformity and emotional exhaustion and the mediating effect of emotional exhaustion. This study opens up a new perspective for the study of individual creativity and provides theoretical and practical basis for the effective promotion of individual creativity by organizational managers.

Abstract: Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is a common primary glomerulonephritis, which is mainly characterized by excessive IgA deposition in the glomerular mesangial area. Although exploring the pathogenesis of IgAN and improving the treatment strategies continuously, the exact pathogenesis of IgAN remains unclear and the disease still leads to high mortality. Recently, emerging evidence has demonstrated that dysregulated intestinal mucosal immunity and gut microbiome imbalance may play a combined role in the development and progression of IgAN. It has been suggested that reconstructing the intestinal microenvironment and maintaining the stability and metabolic balance of gut microbiome are expected to become new treatment strategies. Meanwhile, inhibiting mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) controlled by the gut microbiome may become an alternative treatment, especially used to reduce the excessive production of IgA in IgAN. In this review, we summarized the correlation between gut microbiome and the pathogenesis of IgAN, as well as the therapeutic potential of gut microbiome in this disease.

Objective Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a common neuropsychiatry disorder with high prevalence and recurrence rate, but the misdiagnosis rate is inevitable due to the shortage of objective laboratory-based diagnostic criteria. This study is focused on the disturbance of lipid metabolism, providing potential biomarkers for diagnosing. Methods Lipid metabolism-related molecules in plasma of 42 drug-naïve MDD patients and 49 healthy people were measured by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. Further to evaluate the diagnostic values of changed metabolites, these molecules were evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic curve. Based on the significant role of phosphatidylcholine (PC) disturbance in depression, oxidization of PCs, oxidation of 1-palmitoyl-2-arachidonoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (OxPAPC), IL-8 and caspase-3 in hippocampus, and serum of chronic lipopolysaccharide (cLPS) depression mice were detected by ELISA. Results Compared with healthy control, MDD patients expressed higher 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (16:0-16:0 PC, DPPC), 1-palmitoyl-2-arachidonoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (16:0-20:4 PC, PAPC), 1-palmitoyl-2-stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (16:0-18:0 PC), glycocholic acid, taurocholic acid, glycoursodeoxycholic acid, and chenodeoxycholic acid glycine conjugate, and lower 1-heptadecanoyl-2-hydroxy-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (LPC 20:0). The 16:0-20:4 PC showed the great diagnostic value for MDD with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.9519, and combination of 16:0 PC, 16:0-18:0 PC, and 16:0-20:4 PC exhibited the highest diagnostic value with AUC of 0.9602. OxPAPC was certified increase in hippocampus and serum of cLPS depression mice, which further supported PCs disorder participated in depression. Conclusion This research offers 16:0-20:4 PC as the latent diagnostic indicator for MDD and hints the important role of PCs in depression.

Modern mining within ecologically fragile areas is under enormous pressure from the ecological and geological environment. Using abandoned coal mines as underground water reservoirs is an effective idea for reducing eco-geological risks in mining districts. Accurate estimation of reservoir capacity is conducive to guiding the construction of an underground water reservoir. In this paper, estimation models of underground water storage capacity were established, which were divided into two kinds: horizontal mining district and inclined mining district. Furthermore, the minimum porosity of broken rock mass was analyzed based on laboratory experiments, and the fitted equation of minimum porosity was developed. A modern coal mine in northwest China was taken as an example, and the feasibility of the proposed model was verified by in-situ measurement. Finally, the effects of porosity of broken rock mass, water storage height and coal seam dip angle on water storage capacity were presented. The coal seam dip angle should be the principal consideration in choosing the site of an underground water reservoir.

Over time, wild crops have been domesticated by humans, and the knowledge gained from parallel selection and convergent domestication-related studies in cereals has contributed to current techniques used in molecular plant breeding. Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) is the world’s fifth-most popular cereal crop and was one of the first crops cultivated by ancient farmers. In recent years, genetic and genomic studies have provided a better understanding of sorghum domestication and improvements. Here, we discuss the origin, diversification, and domestication processes of sorghum based on archeological discoveries and genomic analyses. This review also comprehensively summarized the genetic basis of key genes related to sorghum domestication and outlined their molecular mechanisms. It highlights that the absence of a domestication bottleneck in sorghum is the result of both evolution and human selection. Additionally, understanding beneficial alleles and their molecular interactions will allow us to quickly design new varieties by further de novo domestication.

Reservoir computing (RC) is a computational architecture capable of efficiently processing temporal information, which allows low-cost hardware implementation. However, the previously reported memristor-based RC mostly utilized binarized data sets to reduce the difficulty of signal processing of the memristor, which inevitably induces data distortion to a certain extent, leading to poor network computing performance. Here, we report on a RC system in a fully memristive architecture based on solution-processed perovskite memristors. The perovskite memristor exhibits 10000 conductance states with a modulation range of more than 4 orders of magnitude. The obtained tens of thousands of finely spaced conductance states with a near-ideal analog property provide a sufficiently large dynamic range and enough intermediate states, which were further applied as a reservoir to map the feature information on different sequential inputs in an analog way. The computing capability of the image classification task of a Fashion-MNIST data set with a high recognition accuracy of up to 90.1% shows that the excellent analog and short-term properties of our perovskite memristor allow the hardware implementation of neuromorphic computing with a reduced training cost.

Introduction: The objective of this study was to define prehospital ultra-early neurological deterioration (UND) and to investigate the association with functional outcomes in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study of consecutive acute ICH patients. The stroke severity at onset and hospital admission was assessed using the Chongqing Stroke Scale (CQSS), and prehospital UND was defined as a CQSS increase of ≥2 points between symptoms onset and admission. Early neurological deterioration (END) was defined as the increase of ≥4 points in NIHSS score within the first 24 h after admission. Poor outcome was defined as a modified Rankin Scale (mRS) of 4–6 at 3 months. Results: Prehospital UND occurred in 29 of 169 patients (17.2%). Patients with prehospital UND had a median admission NIHSS score of 17.0 as opposed to those without prehospital UND with a median NIHSS score of 8.5. There were three patterns of neurological deterioration: prehospital UND only in 21 of 169 patients (12.4%), END but without prehospital UND in 20 of 169 patients (11.8%), and continuous neurological deterioration in both phases in 8 patients (4.7%). Prehospital UND was associated with worse 3-month outcomes (median mRS score, 4.0 vs. 2.0, p = 0.002). After adjusting for age, time from onset to admission, END, and systolic blood pressure, prehospital UND was an independent predictor of poor outcome (odds ratio [OR] 3.27, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.26–8.48, p = 0.015). Conclusion: Prehospital UND occurs in approximately 1 in 7 patients between symptom onset and admission and is associated with poor functional outcome in patients with ICH. Further research is needed to investigate the prehospital UND in the prehospital phase in the triage of patients with ICH.

Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor in children and adolescents. Many patients with osteosarcoma readily develop resistance to chemotherapy and have an extremely dismal prognosis. Dioscin, a saponin, is known to exhibit potent anticancer activities and induce cellular death of a variety of cancer types. However, the inhibitory effect of dioscin on osteosarcoma cells and its underlying mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. We investigated the responses of human U2-OS and MG63 osteosarcoma cells to dioscin with regard to proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion, and studied the effect of dioscin on MAPK-related proteins by western blot analysis assays. Dioscin inhibited osteosarcoma cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Moreover, it induced osteosarcoma cell apoptosis via reactive oxygen species (ROS)-dependent apoptotic signaling. N-acetylcysteine, a reactive oxygen species inhibitor, suppressed dioscin-induced apoptosis, indicating that ROS play an essential role in dioscin-induced apoptosis. Western blot analysis assays showed that p38 MAPK was upregulated after dioscin treatment, and that dioscin induced apoptosis by upregulating ROS-mediated p38 MAPK signaling. Our study suggests that dioscin possesses antitumor activities against human osteosarcoma cells, inhibits osteosarcoma cell proliferation, migration and invasion, and induces osteosarcoma cell apoptosis through upregulating ROS-mediated p38 MAPK signaling. This study may provide a new therapeutic strategy and potential clinical applications for the treatment of osteosarcoma.

A reasonable support scheme is the main factor to be considered when constructing tunnels, and it is essential to accurately calculate the surrounding rock pressure of tunnels. This work focuses on the improved method used to calculate the surrounding rock pressure of a tunnel affected by the seepage of its weak interlayer. Based on Protodyakonov’s theory, the simulation result obtained by finite difference method is adopted to determine the modified Protodyakonov’s method (MPM) used to calculate the surrounding rock pressure of the tunnel taking the angle and position of its interlayer as the entry point. To confirm the efficacy of the MPM, used for a Chongqing Mountain tunnel affected by the seepage of its weak interlayer, the other two normal calculation methods were compared with the MPM and field monitoring results. It is shown that the calculated results of the MPM are closer to those of the field monitoring. MPM meets the requirements of support strength and can be used as a reference to calculate the surrounding rock pressure of tunnels affected by the seepage of a weak interlayer.

The association between allergic respiratory diseases, such as asthma and allergic rhinitis (AR), and green space (GS) remains controversial. Our study aimed to summarize and synthesize the association between individual GS exposure and the incidence of asthma/AR. We systematically summarized the qualitative relationship between GS exposure and asthma and AR. The pooled odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) was used to estimate the effect of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) on asthma and AR. A total of 21 studies were included for systematic review, and 8 of them underwent meta-analysis. In the meta-analysis of current asthma, the 0 radius ≤ 100 m group, 100 radius ≤ 300 m group, and 500 radius ≤ 1000 m group presented weak negative associations between the NDVI and current asthma. For ever asthma, slight positive associations existed in the 0 radius ≤ 100 m group and 300 radius ≤ 500 m group. In addition, the NDVI might slightly reduce the risk of AR in radius of 100 m and 500 m. Our findings suggest that the effects of GS exposure on asthma and AR were not significant. Differences in GS measurements, disease diagnoses and adjusted confounders across studies may have an impact on the results. Subsequent studies should consider potential confounding factors and use more accurate GS exposure measurements to better understand the impact of GS exposure on respiratory disease in the population.

Dysphagia is one of the most common complications of acute ischemic stroke, and prediction of dysphagia is crucial for post-stroke treatment. We aimed to identify predictors of dysphagia and swallowing function recovery following ischemic stroke and to investigate dysphagia-associated lesion location.We prospectively enrolled patients with acute ischemic stroke confirmed on diffusion-weighted imaging. All patients received swallowing evaluation within 48 h after admission. Follow-up oral intake ability was measured on 7 and 30 days after stroke onset. Voxel-based lesion-symptom mapping was performed to determine locations associated with dysphagia.Of 126 patients included in the final analysis, 23 patients (18.3%) were classified as initial dysphagia. The presence of facial palsy (P = 0.008) and larger white matter hyperintensity (WMH) volume (P = 0.003) was associated with initial dysphagia. Initial risk of aspiration assessed by Any2 score (P = 0.001) at baseline was identified as independent predictor for dysphagia at day 7. Patients with higher Any2 score (P 0.001), aphasia (P = 0.013), and larger WMH volume (P = 0.010) were less likely to have a full swallowing function recovery at 1 month. Acute infarcts in right corona radiata and right superior longitudinal fasciculus were correlated with impaired recovery of swallowing ability at 1 month.Initial risk of aspiration was identified as risk factor for short-term and long-term dysphagia. Aphasia and larger WMH volume were revealed to be significant predictors for swallowing function recovery at 1 month. Right corona radiata was identified as an essential brain area for dysphagia.

Emerging studies reported that gut microbiota and fecal metabolites take part in major depressive disorder (MDD) pathogenesis. However, the conclusions based on a single depressive animal model seem inconsistent or even controversial.Multiple depression rat models, including chronic unpredictable mild stress, chronic restraint stress, social defeat, and learned helplessness, were used. Then, the 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis determined the alteration of gut microbiota and fecal metabolites.The results of sucrose preference test and forced swimming test suggested that each model successfully established depression-like behavior. A total of 179 discriminative amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) were identified among four models. The overall discriminative ASVs mainly belonged to the family Lachnospiraceae, Muribaculaceae, and Oscillospiraceae. Moreover, the fecal metabolomic analysis identified 468 differential expressed metabolites. Among all the differential metabolites, 11 specific pathways significantly altered, which were mainly belonged to lipid and amino acid metabolism. Finally, co-occurrence network analysis suggested that target differential metabolites were associated with discriminative ASVs mainly assigned to family taxon Lachnospiraceae, Muribaculaceae, and Oscillospiraceae.The heterogeneity of MDD in humans cannot be totally imitated by animal models.In multiple depression models, the alterations of family Lachnospiraceae, Muribaculaceae, and Oscillospiraceae with the dysbiosis of lipid and amino acid metabolism were gut microbiota and fecal metabolome features. The findings of our research may help us to have a comprehensive understanding of gut microbiota and fecal metabolome in depression.

The coexistence of parathyroid hyperplasia and carcinoma is uncommon. Here we report findings of 99m Tc-sestamibi SPECT/CT study in a case of unilateral bifocal parathyroid carcinoma coexisting with parathyroid hyperplasia in a 49-year-old man. The images showed 4 foci of elevated activity around the thyroid. Histopathology confirmed the 2 lesions of the left side as parathyroid hyperplasia and the other 2 lesions of the right side as parathyroid carcinoma.

Whereas the proper choice of reaction solvent constitutes the cornerstone of the green solvent concept, solvent effects on chemical reactions are not mechanistically well understood due to the lack of feasible molecular models. Herein, by taking the case study of nucleophilic addition reaction in aqueous solution, we extend the proposed multiscale reaction density functional theory (RxDFT) method to investigate the intrinsic free energy profile and total free energy profile, and study the solvent effect on the activation and reaction free energy for the nucleophilic addition reactions of hydroxide anion with methanal and carbon dioxide in aqueous solution. The predictions of the free energy profile in aqueous solution for these two nucleophilic addition reactions from RxDFT have a satisfactory agreement with the results from the RISM and MD-FEP simulation. Meanwhile, the solvent effect is successfully addressed by examining the difference of the free energy profile between the gas phase and aqueous phase. In addition, we investigate the solvent effect on the reactions occurred near solid–liquid interfaces. It is shown that the activation free energy is significantly depressed when reaction takes place in the region within 10 A distance to the substrate surface owing to the decrease of hydration free energy at the solid–liquid interface.

Objective. To investigate the prognostic impact of computed tomography (CT) imaging big data-assisted arterial chemoembolization combined with iodine 125 (125I) seed implantation on patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods. A total of 116 patients with intermediate and advanced NSCLC hospitalized in our hospital from August 2019 to August 2020 were selected and divided into a control group and an experiment group (58 cases in each group) by random number table method for the study. The patients in the experiment group were treated with CT imaging big data-assisted arterial chemoembolization combined with 125I seed implantation, while the patients in the control group were treated with arterial chemoembolization alone, with the use of gemcitabine combined with cisplatin (GP) in chemotherapy. The prognostic impact was determined by analyzing recent efficacy; the incidence of adverse effects; tumor size and CT perfusion parameters including blood volume (BV), blood flow (BF), and permeability surface (PS); frailty state and quality of life; and the levels of serum tumor markers including carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), glycoconjugate antigen 125 (CA125), cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1 (CYFRA21-1), microRNA- (miRNA-) 137, and miR-379-5p. In addition, frailty status was evaluated using the Fried frailty phenotype (FP) scale, and quality of life was determined according to Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS) score. Kaplan-Meyer (KM) method was used to analyze the survival rate of NSCLC patients after a 12-month follow-up. Results. The remission rate in the experiment group (77.59%) was higher than that in the control group (56.90%) ( P < 0.05 ). Tumor size, BV, BF, PS, serum CEA and CA125 levels, and FP value in both groups were dramatically reduced after treatment compared with before treatment, especially in the experiment group after 1 and 3 months of treatment ( P < 0.05 ). Meanwhile, the serum miR-137 and miR-379-5p levels and KPS scores in both groups were higher after treatment than before treatment, especially in the experiment group after 1 and 3 months of treatment ( P < 0.05 ). However, there was no significant difference in the incidence of nausea and vomiting, alopecia, diarrhea, myelosuppression, and hemoptysis of NSCLC patients in both groups after treatment ( P > 0.05 ). Further, the 12-month survival rate of NSCLC patients was higher in the experiment group (84.21%) than in the control group (64.29%) ( P < 0.05 ). Conclusion. CT imaging big data-assisted arterial chemoembolization combined with 125I seed implantation for NSCLC can improve recent efficacy and the prognosis of NSCLC patients by inhibiting tumor progression with a certain degree of safety.

Major depressive disorder (MDD) as a dysfunction of neural circuits and brain networks has been established in modern neuroimaging sciences. However, the brain state transitions between MDD and health through external stimulation remain unclear, which limits translation to clinical contexts and demonstrable clinical utility. We propose a framework of the large-scale whole-brain network model for MDD linking the underlying anatomical connectivity with functional dynamics obtained from diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Then, we further explored the optimal brain regions to promote the transition of brain states between MDD and health through external stimulation of the model. Based on the whole-brain model successfully fitting the brain state space in MDD and the health, we demonstrated that the transition from MDD to health is achieved by the excitatory activation of the limbic system and from health to MDD by the inhibitory stimulation of the reward circuit. Our finding provides novel biophysical evidence for the neural mechanism of MDD and its recovery and allows the discovery of new stimulation targets for MDD recovery.

Objective. To investigate the use and the efficacy of bronchial artery chemoembolization combined with 125I seed implantation in advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) therapy based on the medical database. Methods. A total of 102 patients with advanced NSCLC were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with 125I seed implantation, and the observation group was treated with bronchial artery chemoembolization (BACE) combined with 125I seed implantation based on medical database. The clinical efficacy, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1 (CYFRA21-1), glycan antigen 125 (CA125), peripheral blood CD3+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+ T cells, insulin-like growth factor type 1 receptor (IGF-1R), S100 calcium-binding protein A2 (S100A2), long-term efficacy (time to disease progression, six-month survival rate, and one-year survival rate), and safety were then analyzed. Result. The disease remission rate in the observation group was 62.75%, which was higher than that in the control group (41.18%). After 1 month and 3 months of treatment, the levels of serum CYFRA21-1, CEA, CA125, and IGF-1R were lower, while serum S100A2 was higher in the observation group than in the control group ( P < 0.05 ). For safety assessment, we found that the incidences of neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and gastrointestinal reactions had no statistical differences between two groups. The time to disease progression in the observation group was 129.85 d longer than that in the control group, 89.74 d, and the six-month survival rate and 1-year survival rate were higher in the observation group relative to the control group. Conclusion. Medical database-based BACE combined with 125I seed implantation in the therapy of advanced NSCLC patients has definite efficacy with certain safety, which can enhance antitumor effect and prolong survival rate in advanced NSCLC patients.
