Introduction: Deviated nasal septum is one of the most common causes for the nasal obstruction. The objective of this study is to compare the surgical outcomes in patients undergoing conventional septoplasty and endoscopic septoplasty in the management of deviated nasal septum. Methods: Prospective comparative study was conducted on 60 patients who presented to the Department of ENT, College of Medical sciences, during a period of one year. The severity of the symptoms was subjectively assessed using NOSE score and objectively assessed using modified Gertner plate. Results: There was significant improvement in functional outcome like NOSE Score and area over the Gertner plate among patients who underwent endoscopic septoplasty. Significant difference in incidence of post-operative nasal synechae and haemorrhage was seen in conventional group compared to endoscopic group. Conclusions: Endoscopic surgery is an evolutionary step towards solving the problems related to deviated nasal septum. It is safe, effective and conservative, alternative to conventional septal surgery.

This study examines the impact of dividend policy on share price volatility of Nepalese commercial banks. The share price volatility, change in market price per share and stock return change are dependent variables. Dividend yield, dividend payout, debt ratio, size, growth and earning volatility are independent variables. The study is based on 18 commercial banks of Nepal from 2009-2014, leading to a total of 108 observations. The data are collected from various issues of Banking and Financial Statistics and Bank Supervision Report published by Nepal Rastra Bank, annual Report of Nepal Stock Exchange and the annual reports of the selected banks. The regression models are estimated to test the significance and impact of dividend policy on share price volatility of Nepalese commercial banks. The study reveals that dividend payout is negatively related to share price volatility (price volatility, change in MPS and stock return volatility). It indicates that increase in dividend payout leads to decrease in share price volatility. However, earning volatility is positively related to share price volatility indicating that higher the earning volatility, higher would be share price volatility. The regression result shows that dividend yield and size have significant positive impact on share price volatility. The beta coefficients for growth and dividend yield are significant at 5 percent level of significance.

It is well documented that government agencies, at all levels, continue to have problems ensuring that government web sites follow laws related to web accessibility for people with disabilities. Although there are a number of published studies on government web accessibility that are point-in-time, there are no published studies consisting of a longitudinal analysis of state-level government web site accessibility. This paper contributes to the research literature in three ways: 1) an accessibility inspection of 25 Maryland state government homepages in 2012 which involved 150 human inspections of web pages, 2) a comparison of the results from 2012 to a similar accessibility evaluation in 2009, and 3) a discussion of the role of a web page template, which was introduced in Maryland state government shortly after the 2009 evaluation. The data from this longitudinal evaluation leads to the conclusion that web page templates do tend to result in more accessible sites within state government.
