PURPOSE: The aim of this article is an assessment of the psychometric properties of a scale measuring customer service quality in health care networks. Continuity of care has been considered as a main construct describing the service quality., DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: Regional study involved 320 chronically ill patients of the Polish ambulatory system. They completed proposed questionnaire, measuring continuity of care. The scale has been validated using confirmation factor analysis (CFA) and LarckerFornell index., FINDINGS: The analysis showed that the values of factor loadings (correlation between a questionnaire item and a factor) for almost all test items are high. They exceed the accepted threshold of 0.5 in absolute value. The proposed patient service quality rating scale has a unidimensional structure. It is a relevant assessment tool., PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The proposed instrument can be used in health care settings to assess the quality of the service process. It can be helpful in decision making process as far as the quality improvements are concerned. The scale can be especially eligible for health care networks, caring for chronically ill patients., ORIGINALITY/VALUE: The study presented a unique tool to assess continuity of care in health sector. Background: mountain accidents are becoming a public health problem as consequence of pandemic lockdown, since society practises more mountain sports, and consequently, mountain accidents have increased. Among Spanish federated people occur an average of 7000 accidents a year, of which in 2020, of those assisted by GREIM, 4% found death, while in non-federated that data ascends to 8%. (1) The main cause of harm in mountain accidents are traumatisms, which are also the most common cause of death in the mountain. ABCDE (airway, breathing, circulatory, disability, exposure) is efficient to reduce mortality and to stablish a priority order to attend injuries (2) and checklist has been proved to be effective confronting procedures in complex situations. (3) Objective: our main objective is to evaluate the effectivity of a based-ABCDE checklist implementation. Our goal is to prove that people who were taught and trained how to read and interpret this checklist know how to manage better a traumatic mountain victim than people that were not taught nor given our checklist. Effectivity will be evaluated in two forms. One will be in terms of “knowledge” evidenced through marks differences among “pre-training” and “post-training” test exams. The other will be by studying specific clinical actions carried out in mountain victims and also, by studying victim’s mortality and disability. Design: we will carry out our research through a randomized, controlled, longitudinal, prospective open-label interventional study leaded by Mountain Medicine Chair from Universitat de Girona, from March 2022 to February 2026. Participants: our study subjects will be federated members of Federació d’Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya (FEEC) and members of Federación Vasca de Montaña (EMF-FVM) from Basque Country. Methods: we will perform a probabilistic simple aleatory method. The 784 participants will be assigned randomly by 1:1 ratio to one or another group. Checklist implementation will be carried out in intervention group A n=392 but not in control group B n=392. Online test exams and clinical actions performed by our study subjects will be followed-up to a year after checklist implementation. Introduction: To know the satisfaction among the patients’ companion in the emergency service in order to know how it really works. In this way, the assistance to the patients, their companions and even, the professionals can be improve. Aims: To describe the level of satisfaction among the users’ companions of the emergency service and find the relationship between the sociodemographic variables of the companions and their satisfaction. Methodology: An analytic descriptive survey that took place in the emergency service in Figueres Hospital (Girona). A sample of advisability was carried out for two weeks. The sociodemographic variables of the users’ companions, the information about the time of the stay in the service and the gender of the professional who assisted them were studied. The Consumer Emergency Care Satisfaction Scale (CECSS) survey validated by the Spanish population. Results: They did 72 surveys. The average of age was 58,0 years old (DE=13,7), 75% were women. The average score of satisfaction was 64,6 points (DE=6,3). The age of the survey respondent and the time of the stay in the service were two variables associated with the satisfaction, observing at older age [p=-0,242] and, less time of stay in the emergency service [-0,243] the level of satisfaction is higher. Conclusion: The level of satisfaction of the companions in the emergency service has been satisfactory. The factors related to the satisfaction have been the age of the respondent and the time of the stay in the service

The paper considers the characteristics of efficient health systems. First, indicators describing the health status of the population, then the determinant factors, finally their ratio was considered as the indicator of health system efficiency. The analysis indicates that Israeli health system is the most efficient one, while the Czech Republic and Hungary ranked the lowest. The high level of efficiency may not stem from either expanded market elements (U.S.) or public financing and ownership (Czech Republic, Hungary) but may be enhanced by integrating statutory and private health insurance that contains market elements and operates with a few, competing insurance funds., peer-reviewed
