The assessment of the quality of water can be shortly defined as the analysis of its physical, chemical and biological characteristics in order to determine the degradation of freshwater resources. In this context, one of the latest technological methods for real-time data acquisition comes from the use of unmanned vehicles (aerial, surface and underwater). Therefore, the development of control strategies to perform environmental missions is crucial to manage water resources in an efficient and effective way. Prior to the actual implementation, some in-silico experiments are needed to test the proposals, which is one of the purposes of this work. This proposal, based on real experiments in a lake, presents a novel method for the construction of a water quality map based on polygons. The result is compared with a classical data generation method showing positive outcomes. The generated limnological map has a twofold purpose: to test set-based predictive controllers in simulation scenarios with an aquatic robot and to determine if there is a source of contamination in the analyzed region of the lake.

This is an open access article under the CC BY-NC-ND license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0) Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) are used to collect data of physicochemical parameters used to determine the degradation of freshwater resources. An optimal strategy based on a Nonlinear set-based Model Predictive Control (NMPC) is designed to improve the control of the USVs. This work offers a theoretical novel formulation of NMPC and explains the interest of set-based NMPC. The influence of meshing the map of the area of interest is then studied and it is finally demonstrated that complex trajectories, i.e. spiral or u-turn or even exploring in small areas can be made easy from the control point of view by using hexagonal set-based instead of square NMPCs.

In the presence of an axion or axion-like particle (ALPs) that couples to the Standard Model via dimension-five interactions, dimension-six SMEFT interactions are generated via renormalization-group evolution. As many of these SMEFT contributions are experimentally tightly constrained, this "ALP-SMEFT interference" can be used to derive indirect bounds on the ALP couplings to the Standard Model particles. We present a global analysis of the Wilson coefficients of the ALP effective Lagrangian based on Higgs, top, and low-energy data. The obtained bounds are model independent and are competitive or even stronger than direct bounds in the GeV to TeV ALP-mass range., Comment: 18 pages, 5 figures

Advances in sensors have revolutionized biomedical engineering, having an extreme affinity for specific analytes and providing an effective, real-time, point-of-care testing to obtain an accurate diagnosis. Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) is a well-established sensor that has been successfully applied in a broad range of applications to monitor and explore various surface interactions, in situ thin-film formations, and layer properties. This technology has gained interest in biomedical applications since novel QCM systems were able to work in liquid media. Quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring (QCM-D) is an expanded version of QCM that measures changes in damping properties of adsorbed layers and provides information on its viscoelastic nature. In this article, a QCM-D prototype designed for biomedical applications was developed and its validation was done by studying the viscosity of Polyethylene Glycol ( PEG ). Quantification of physical properties of PEG results important for vast medical applications. The statistics show a bigger dissipation as the fluid becomes more viscous and a very acceptable sensibility of the system when temperature is controlled.

[ES]Las geotecnologías han emergido como la piedra angular del nuevo paradigma digital en el que están actualmente inmersas la agricultura y la ganadería contemporáneas, es decir, la nueva revolución agrícola, conocida como Agricultura 4.0, en la que se enmarcan las denominadas agricultura y ganadería de precisión. La obligada modernización a la que se ven sometidas las prácticas agroganaderas tradicionales viene desencadenada por el incipiente crecimiento demográfico y la consecuente demanda de productos agroalimentarios. Esta drástica transformación del mundo rural se torna imprescindible no solo para conseguir abastecer las necesidades de una población creciente, sino para rescatar a un sector primario cada vez más castigado por los elevados precios de los insumos y los escasos beneficios que se perciben. Como avales también de esta necesaria reconversión de los sistemas de manejo agropecuarios, entran también en juego pilares fundamentales de la productividad agrícola y ganadera como son la sostenibilidad medioambiental y el bienestar animal, ambos muy demandados en los productos de primera necesidad por una sociedad cada vez más concienciada con la producción respetuosa con el medio y con los animales. En este contexto, las geotecnologías no deben ser tomadas como herramientas que amenacen con sustituir los conocimientos agroganaderos tradicionales o que promuevan su desaparición. El enfoque es categóricamente opuesto, ya que tratan de perfeccionar la toma de decisiones de los agricultores y ganaderos, fundada en dicha sabiduría tradicional. Esta complementariedad resultará en nuevos modelos de gestión de los sistemas agropecuarios, que serán ostensiblemente más respetuosos con el medio que los sustenta, a la par que se maximizará el respeto hacia los principios básicos de sostenibilidad y bienestar animal. Por lo tanto, en este trabajo se plantea la siguiente hipótesis: la implementación de nuevas estrategias metodológicas basadas en geotecnologías en el sector agroganadero contribuirán a reducir los costes de producción, el tiempo empleado por agricultores y ganaderos en sus labores y el impacto medioambiental que dichas labores pudieran ocasionar, generando beneficios de corte económico, social y medioambiental. Considerando la hipótesis anteriormente expuesta, el objetivo de la presente tesis doctoral se centró en demostrar el potencial de las geotecnologías como herramientas alternativas y complementarias destinadas a la mejora de la gestión de los sistemas de manejo agroganaderos en el ámbito económico, medioambiental y desde el punto de vista del bienestar animal. Así mismo, se planteó que dichas estrategias geotecnológicas sirvan también para ahondar en el aprendizaje de nuevos conocimientos agrícolas y ganaderos. Para lograr este objetivo, se plantearon una serie de aportaciones que permitieran dilucidar la idoneidad de dichas geotecnologías en la gestión agroganadera.

Trabajo presentado en el VIII Congreso Nacional de Microbiología Industrial y Biotecnología Microbiana, celebrado en Valencia (España), del 1 al 3 de junio de 2022, La producción de metabolitos secundarios en bacterias del género Streptomyces está muy regulada por factores genéticos y ambientales1. Dentro de estos factores, el hierro es un elemento esencial que interviene en muchos procesos celulares y que, en Streptomyces, tiene un importante papel en el desarrollo y metabolismo2. En este trabajo se ha comparado la producción de los antibióticos actinorrodina (ACT) y undecilprodigiosina (RED) en S. coelicolor entre la cepa silvestre M145 y el mutante de deleción ¿bfr, que carece del gen de la bacterioferritina, la proteína encargada de almacenar hierro en Streptomyces3. Ambas cepas se cultivaron en medio mínimo líquido y sólido con tres concentraciones de hierro: 10 nM, 4 µM y 2 mM. De los medios líquidos se recogieron muestras cada dos días y se cuantificaron los antibióticos producidos, mientras que en sólido se hizo un seguimiento del fenotipo. Los resultados muestran que la ausencia de la bacterioferritina en S. coelicolor reduce la producción de ACT y RED con bajas y altas concentraciones de hierro, mientras que adelanta la síntesis de ACT en concentraciones intermedias (4 µM) comparado con la cepa silvestre. Respecto al ensayo en medio sólido, el mutante presenta alteraciones en la diferenciación morfológica. Estos datos demuestran el importante papel del hierro en el desarrollo de S. coelicolor y su potencial estudio como agente regulador del metabolismo secundario. El presente documento pone de relieve la importancia de la prevención, detección e intervención ante la conducta suicida en el ámbito universitario y pretende ser un marco de actuación cuyo objetivo es recoger una serie de medidas encaminadas a ofrecer unas directrices que consigan sensibilizar al colectivo universitario para la detección precoz de señales de alarma ante situaciones de riesgo de suicidio en la Universidad de Málaga. Si bien este Plan está dirigido a todo el colectivo universitario (Personal Docente e Investigador, Personal de Administración y Servicios y alumnado), en algunas ocasiones se focalizará en el alumnado por ser el colectivo más numeroso y más vulnerable ante esta conducta. Este I Plan de Prevención de la Conducta Suicida tiene como objetivo general reducir la incidencia y prevalencia de la conducta suicida a través de la implementación de 6 estrategias y 12 acciones.

Funder: Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation; grant number PID2020-117212RB-I00 / AEI / 10.13038/501100011033, Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), the most prevalent symptomatic primary immunodeficiency, displays impaired terminal B-cell differentiation and defective antibody responses. Incomplete genetic penetrance and ample phenotypic expressivity in CVID suggest the participation of additional pathogenic mechanisms. Monozygotic (MZ) twins discordant for CVID are uniquely valuable for studying the contribution of epigenetics to the disease. Here, we generate a single-cell epigenomics and transcriptomics census of naïve-to-memory B cell differentiation in a CVID-discordant MZ twin pair. Our analysis identifies DNA methylation, chromatin accessibility and transcriptional defects in memory B-cells mirroring defective cell-cell communication upon activation. These findings are validated in a cohort of CVID patients and healthy donors. Our findings provide a comprehensive multi-omics map of alterations in naïve-to-memory B-cell transition in CVID and indicate links between the epigenome and immune cell cross-talk. Our resource, publicly available at the Human Cell Atlas, gives insight into future diagnosis and treatments of CVID patients.

[ES] En los últimos años la gamificación se ha empezado a encontrar en un momento de auge. Son muchos los maestros que introducen esta estrategia didáctica en sus aulas con el fin de llevar la motivación de su alumnado un paso más allá. Pero no son tantos como los que la han aplicado, los docentes que han tratado de demostrar que la gamificación es realmente efectiva. Con el presente trabajo se pretende, partiendo de los conocimientos teóricos disponibles acerca de la gamificación, plantear una propuesta didáctica para el desarrollo de las habilidades motrices mediante la gamificación en el último ciclo de Educación Primaria. Tras ello, se plantea conocer el grado de satisfacción del alumnado mediante un cuestionario. Como se puede comprobar, los resultados resultan muy positivos, y dan pie a seguir investigando este campo en el futuro., [EN] In recent years, gamification has begun to find itself in a boom moment. There are many teachers who introduce this didactic strategy in their classrooms in order to take their students’ motivation one step further. But there are not as many as those who have applied it, the teachers who have tried to demonstrate that gamification is really effective. With the present work, it is intended, based on the theoretical knowledge available about gamification, to propose a didactic proposal for the development of motor skills through gamification in the last cycle of Primary Education. After that, it is proposed to know the degree of satisfaction of the students through a questionnaire. As can be seen, the results are very positive, and give rise to further research in this field in the future.

Plant nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat receptors (NLRs) act as intracellular sensors for pathogen-derived effector proteins and trigger an immune response, frequently resulting in the hypersensitive cell death response (HR) of the infected host cell. The wheat (Triticum aestivum) NLR Pm2 confers resistance against the fungal pathogen Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici (Bgt) if the isolate contains the specific RNase-like effector AvrPm2. We identified and isolated seven new Pm2 alleles (Pm2e-i) in the wheat D-genome ancestor Aegilops tauschii and two new natural AvrPm2 haplotypes from Bgt. Upon transient co-expression in Nicotiana benthamiana, we observed a variant-specific HR of the Pm2 variants Pm2a and Pm2i towards AvrPm2 or its homolog from the AvrPm2 effector family, BgtE-5843, respectively. Through the introduction of naturally occurring non-synonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms and structure-guided mutations, we identified single amino acids in both the wheat NLR Pm2 and the fungal effector proteins AvrPm2 and BgtE-5843 responsible for the variant-specific HR of the Pm2 variants. Exchanging these amino acids led to a modified HR of the Pm2-AvrPm2 interaction and allowed the identification of the effector head epitope, a 20-amino-acid long unit of AvrPm2 involved in the HR. Swapping of the AvrPm2 head epitope to the non-HR-triggering AvrPm2 family member BgtE-5846 led to gain of a HR by Pm2a. Our study presents a molecular approach to identify crucial effector surface structures involved in the HR and demonstrates that natural and induced diversity in an immune receptor and its corresponding effectors can provide the basis for understanding and modifying NLR-effector specificity.

Trabajo fin de máster presentado en la Universidad de Salamanca, Departamento de Microbiología y Genética, Facultad de Biología, [ES] Streptomyces coelicolor posee un gen (bfr) que codifica una bacterioferritina y un gen adyacente (bfd) que codifica una hipotética ferredoxina asociada a bacterioferritina. La ausencia del gen bfr altera la diferenciación y la producción de los antibióticos undecilprodigiosina (RED) y actinorrodina (ACT) en S. coelicolor. En este trabajo se han caracterizado el gen bfd y su papel en la biosíntesis de los antibióticos RED y ACT junto a bfr mediante la construcción de los mutantes de deleción Δbfd y Δbfr-bfd. Además, se han estudiado la sobreexpresión del gen bfd y de los genes bfr y bfd simultáneamente. El mutante Δbfd muestra un fenotipo de retraso leve de la diferenciación y la producción de antibióticos en medios complejos, mientras que el doble mutante Δbfr-bfd presenta un fenotipo similar al silvestre en los medios complejos LB y R2YE, mientras que en medio YEPD se observa un retraso en la diferenciación. Por otro lado, la sobreexpresión de bfd y de bfr-bfd genera un retraso en la diferenciación y en la producción de antibióticos en medios complejos, [EN] Streptomyces coelicolor has a gene (bfr) that codifies for a bacterioferritin and an adjacent gene (bfd) that codifies for a putative bacterioferritin-associated ferredoxin. The absence of the bfr gene disrupts the differentiation and the production of the antibiotics undecylprodigiosin (RED) and actinorhodin (ACT) in S. coelicolor. In this work the bfd gene and its role in the RED and ACT antibiotic biosynthesis with bfr have been characterized by the construction of the deletion mutants Δbfd and Δbfr-bfd. Moreover, the overexpression of the bfd gene and the bfr and bfd genes simultaneously have been studied. The Δbfd mutant shows a phenotype of slight delay of differentiation and antibiotic production in complex media, whereas the Δbfr-bfd mutant presents a wild type-like phenotype in the LB and R2YE complex media, while a delay in differentiation is shown in YEPD medium. On the other hand, the bfd and bfr-bfd overexpression produce a delay in differentiation and antibiotic production in complex media.

L'objectiu d'aquest projecte es basa en el disseny d'una planta química en la qual es durà a terme la producció del paracetamol a partir de la nitració del fenol. Per a realitzar aquest projecte s'haurà de tenir en compte que la planta compleixi les normatives i legislacions vigents. Aquest projecte inclou els càlculs realitzats per a obtenir el disseny dels equips necessaris per a dur a terme el procés, els diagrames corresponents al procés com ara plànols d'enginyeria, implantació, etc., la posada en marxa de la planta i d'altres especificacions necessàries per a poder tenir una visió més acurada del procés de construcció per a una planta química d'aquestes característiques.

Punctuation has traditionally been disregarded in the literature due to its suggested arbitrariness and inconsistency in pre-modern English. Some of the factors that have contributed to this neglect are the lack of systematisation and correspondence to modern punctuation and the overlapping functions of punctuation symbols (Lucas 1971, 19; Mitchell 1980, 412; Calle-Martín and Miranda-García 2005, 28). The Renaissance stands out as the transitional period towards the consolidation of the English system of punctuation, the establishment of the printing press contributing to the standardisation of both the inventory of marks of punctuation and the functions attributed to them. The study of historical punctuation has been mainly concerned with Old and Middle English. Even though the early Modern English system of punctuation has also received editorial attention, most of the studies are concerned with literary compositions, while the other text types have been hitherto disregarded, scientific texts in particular. The unexplored condition of punctuation is even more significant in the particular case of early Modern printed texts, despite their active participation in the process of standardisation. Curiously enough, no studies have focused on the use of the Oxford comma in the history of English. The Oxford comma (also known as serial comma) refers to the existence of a pause immediately before the conjunctions and/or in a series of three or more elements in a clause. The present paper assesses the use of the so-called Oxford comma in early Modern English handwritten and printed documents. In the light of this, this paper pursues the following objectives: a) to study the use and distribution of the Oxford comma in the period 1500-1700; and b) to evaluate the distribution of this punctuation mark in the two types of writing, i.e. handwriting and printing. Este artículo pretende enmarcarse en los estudios de recepción clásica en la modernidad. Se trata de analizar cómo el ingenium ciceroniano es recibido y reconfigurado por el pensamiento barroco jesuita del siglo XVII. Para tal fin, partimos de premisas iniciales en que se basa el ingenium de Cicerón en el periodo clásico. Seguidamente, entramos en materia exponiendo cómo ese ingenium interesa en la visión místico-religiosa de San Ignacio de Loyola y de qué modo de aquí pasa a la poética literaria barroca, representada en la obra de Baltasar Gracián. El jesuita español le dará un sentido estético a ese ingenium que solamente se movía en el plano educativo y lo reconfigura acorde a sus cánones y estética barroco-contrarreformista. De esta forma estudiaremos cómo las premisas del ingenium ciceroniano que hemos expuesto al comienzo son transformadas según la mentalidad barroca del jesuita español y sus coordenadas histórico-sociales.

Objective: To identify the genetic variants that affect gene expression (expression quantitative trait loci [eQTLs]) in systemic sclerosis (SSc) and to investigate their role in the pathogenesis of the disease. Methods: We performed an eQTL analysis using whole-blood sequencing data from 333 SSc patients and 524 controls and integrated them with SSc genome-wide association study (GWAS) data. We integrated our findings from expression modeling, differential expression analysis, and transcription factor binding site enrichment with key clinical features of SSc. Results: We detected 49,123 validated cis-eQTLs from 4,539 SSc-associated single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) (PGWAS < 10-5 ). A total of 1,436 genes were within 1 Mb of the 4,539 SSc-associated SNPs. Of those 1,436 genes, 565 were detected as having ≥1 eQTL with an SSc-associated SNP. We developed a strategy to prioritize disease-associated genes based on their expression variance explained by SSc eQTLs (r2 > 0.05). As a result, 233 candidates were identified, 134 (58%) of them associated with hallmarks of SSc and 105 (45%) of them differentially expressed in the blood cells, skin, or lung tissue of SSc patients. Transcription factor binding site analysis revealed enriched motifs of 24 transcription factors (5%) among SSc eQTLs, 5 of which were found to be differentially regulated in the blood cells (ELF1 and MGA), skin (KLF4 and ID4), and lungs (TBX4) of SSc patients. Ten candidate genes (4%) can be targeted by approved medications for immune-mediated diseases, of which only 3 have been tested in clinical trials in patients with SSc. Conclusion: The findings of the present study indicate a new layer to the molecular complexity of SSc, contributing to a better understanding of the pathogenesis of the disease.

La igualdad y la equidad son dos conceptos que hemos de perseguir para lograr una educación de calidad para todos los alumnos, de modo que todos ellos puedan alcanzar el éxito independientemente de sus condiciones. De acuerdo con esto, este trabajo fin de máster tiene como objeto de estudio conocer y analizar la valoración que formulan seis egresados de Magisterio sobre la igualdad y equidad en educación. Para ello, se emplea una metodología de corte cualitativo a partir de la ejecución de entrevistas y el desarrollo de dilemas morales, donde los participantes nos ofrecerán sus conocimientos y puntos de vista sobre el tema a desarrollar. Como consecuencia de esto, los resultados indican la precaria situación en la formación del profesorado en materia de igualdad y equidad, así como la falta de conocimientos de estos docentes sobre el ámbito del que tratamos, hecho que debemos invertir para lograr alcanzar el sistema educativo deseado., Equality and equity are two concepts that we shall pursuit to obtain a quality education for every student, so all of them can reach success whatever their conditions are. Keeping this in mind, this final post-degree project’s object of study is to learn and analyze the assessment that six School Teaching graduates formulate about equality and equity in education. For that, is used a methodology of qualitative cut starting from interview execution and moral dilemmas development where participants will share with us their knowledge and points of views about the matter. We report a comprehensive study on the magnetic ground state of La1.5Ca0.5CoO4 combining single crystal neutron diffraction and resonant magnetic x-ray scattering at the CoL2,3 edges. Three single-crystal samples obtained from the same boule were investigated exhibiting magnetic phase transitions from a high-temperature paramagnetic phase to an antiferromagnetic phase at TN≈52K. Single crystal neutron diffraction reveals that the crystal structure at room temperature shows an orthorhombic A-centered lattice but with a and b axes almost equal in length. The structural phase transition (charge-ordering-like) from the parent tetragonal cell takes place above 523 K into the space group A2mm where two nonequivalent compressed and expanded CoO6 octahedra are ordered showing a checkerboard pattern in the ab plane. The charge segregation between the nonequivalent Co sites is about 0.4(1) electrons. Resonant magnetic x-ray reflections indexed as (1/4,1/4,0)t, (1/4,1/4,1)t, and (1/4,1/4,1/2)t in the parent tetragonal cell were observed at low temperature at the CoL2,3-edge energy range. The resonant spectral shape, with a noticeable absence of any resonant enhancement at the CoL2 edge, indicates that only Co2+-like ions participate in the magnetic ordering. The polarization analysis discloses that the orientation of Co magnetic moments is the same for the three magnetic orders and they are long-range ordered along the diagonal in the ab plane of the parent tetragonal cell with a slight tilt in the c axis. Despite the onset temperatures for the three resonant magnetic reflections being the same, ≈55K, different thermal behavior is observed between (1/4,1/4,1/2)t and (1/4,1/4,L)t (L=integer) reflections whose intensities maximize at different temperatures, suggesting the coexistence of two magnetic arrangements. Moreover, the intensity of the (1/4,1/4,1/2)t magnetic reflection is at least ten times larger than that of the (1/4,1/4,L) t (L=integer) ones. On the other hand\, neutron diffraction measurements only detect a single type of antiferromagnetic ordering following the propagation vector k=(1/4,1/4,1/2)t that involves half of the Co atoms in the unit cell. We conclude that the bulk magnetic order in La1.5Ca0.5CoO4 corresponds then to this propagation vector k=(1/4,1/4,1/2)t while (1/4,1/4,0)t and (1/4,1/4,1)t magnetic reflections correspond to a minority magnetic phase that must be due to changes in the oxygen stoichiometry near the surface., For financial support, we thank the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades (Project No. RTI2018-098537-B-C22 co-funded by ERDF from EU) and Diputación General de Aragón (Project No. E12-20R).

RESUM La creació d’un conservatori de música per part de l’Ateneu Igualadí de la Classe Obrera l’any 1921, no només va donar resposta a la necessitat d’una formació artística als socis d’aquesta entitat, sinó que a més va permetre que l’educació musical pogués arribar a tot l’alumnat matriculat a les seves escoles. Aquesta tasca va ser encomanada a Manuel Borguñó. Malgrat comptar amb una àmplia trajectòria docent en ensenyaments professionals de música i en la direcció de grups corals, la seva experiència en l’ensenyament a l’escola primària es limitava a un lleu contacte quant a organització i docència en educació musical per a l’alumnat de cinc a catorze anys. Pretenem aquí presentar i analitzar la tasca educativa que es va desenvolupar durant la dècada en què Borguñó va encarregar-se de l’ensenyament musical d’aquesta institució, així com la seva visió de com s’havia d’implementar la música a les escoles catalanes. ABSTRACT The establishment in 1921 of a music school by the Ateneu Igualadí de la Classe Obrera (Athenaeum of Igualada for the Working Classes), did not only respond to the needs of the members of this entity for artistic training, but it also gave access to music education to all students enrolled in their schools. This work was entrusted to Manuel Borguñó who had vast experience in professional music education and as conductor of choral groups and some experience, though less extensive, in teaching music in primary schools, organizing and giving music lessons to students aged between five and fourteen. Our aim is to present and analyze the educational work that took place during the decade that Borguño was in charge of the musical training of this institution, as well as his vision of how music should be introduced into Catalan schools. Esta labor fue encomendada a Manuel Borguñó que, pese a poseer una dilatada experiencia en enseñanzas profesionales de música y en la dirección de grupos corales, en la enseñanza de la música en la escuela primaria había tenido un leve contacto enfrentándose al reto de organizar e impartir la educación musical para el alumnado entre los cinco y los catorce años. Pretendemos presentar y analizar la labor educativa que se desarrolló durante la década que Borguñó dirigió la educación musical de esta institución, así como su visión de cómo debía llevarse la música a las escuelas catalanas. Lograr captar la atención de los estudiantes en las aulas es una tarea cada vez más compleja. Los docentes de las signaturas de ciencias en general, y de Física y Química en particular, asisten a aulas con alumnos frecuentemente desmotivados. Las nuevas metodologías de enseñanza basadas en la gamificación y el Aprendizaje Basado en el Juego han demostrado tener efectos positivos para solventar estas dificultades a las que se enfrentan diariamente. La introducción de propuestas didácticas que resulten de interés para los alumnos ha sido un tema de estudio durante los últimos años, proporcionando abundante y valiosa información sobre cómo deberían desarrollarse estas nuevas intervenciones con el objetivo de resultar lo más completas posibles de cara a la obtención de un proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje fructífero. Concretamente, en este Trabajo Fin de Máster se muestra el diseño de una propuesta didáctica orientada a alumnos de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria de la asignatura de Física y Química basada en un juego de escape room. Con esta actividad se buscó que los alumnos contextualizasen hechos relevantes acontecidos en la Historia de la Química mientras se revisaban los contenidos teóricos habituales. Aunque, debido a la situación sanitaria actual no fue posible su puesta en práctica en una situación educativa real, se ha estimado que la propuesta cumplía con los requisitos y objetivos establecidos inicialmente. Abstract: Getting the attention of students in the classroom is an increasingly complex task. Teachers of science in general, and of Physics and Chemistry in particular, attend classrooms with frequently unmotivated students. New teaching methodologies based on gamification and Game-Based Learning have shown to have positive effects in solving these difficulties that they face on daily. The introduction of didactic proposals that are of interest to students has been a subject of study in recent years, providing abundant and valuable information on how these new interventions should be developed in order to be as complete as possible to obtain a fructiferous teaching-learning process. Specifically, this Master's Final Project shows the design of a didactic proposal aimed at Secondary Education students of the Physics and Chemistry subject, based on an escape room game. With this activity it was sought that the students contextualized relevant events that occurred in the History of Chemistry while reviewing the usual theoretical contents. Although, due to the current health context, it was not possible to put it into practice in a real educational situation, it has been estimated that the proposal met the requirements and objectives initially established. Se vive en una sociedad sumergida en continuo cambio. Las tradiciones y costumbres, las formas de comunicarse, la tecnología, las relaciones, las empresas y las formas de trabajar han cambiado. Se detecta la necesidad de formar a los ciudadanos del futuro con un modelo mucho más práctico y contextualizado que se ajuste a la realidad, usando casos prácticos y situaciones que pueden aparecer en el día a día, dotando a las nuevas generaciones de habilidades como autonomía, asertividad, anticipación, agilidad, empatía y pensamiento global, para así dar respuesta a las nuevas necesidades. Además, se les dotará de los conocimientos científicos requeridos para poder participar activamente en los retos de esta sociedad tan cambiante, fomentando su alfabetización científica. Con esta intención, en este Trabajo Fin de Máster (TFM) se presenta una propuesta de intervención en el aula cuya finalidad es conseguir un aprendizaje significativo que pueda ser aplicado a mejorar el mundo que les rodea y aumentar la motivación e interés por el estudio de la Química en el alumnado de 4º de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO). La propuesta consiste en aplicar el aprendizaje basado en proyectos (ABP) apoyándose en las siguientes metodologías activas: la indagación y el trabajo cooperativo. De esta manera, se pretende favorecer el proceso de aprendizaje de los discentes en la asignatura de Física y Química y fomentar su autonomía, su sentido de la responsabilidad e implicación, la toma de decisiones, su pensamiento crítico y reflexivo, su creatividad, el respeto y la cooperación. Traditions and customs, the ways in which we communicate, the technology, the relationships, the enterprises and the ways in which we work have all changed. There appears to be necessary to train future citizens in a much more practical and contextualized pattern fitted to reality by means of practical experiences and situations which may arise in the normal life and by providing the new generations with abilities such as autonomy, assertiveness, foresight, agility, empathy and global thought in the aim of giving response to new necessities. Furthermore, they will be provided with the required scientific knowledge so as to be able to take active part in the challenges which arise from this so fast changing society, i.e., the scientific literacy. Bearing in mind this intention, the present Master’s Dissertation presents a classroom-based intervention proposal whose objective is to achieve meaningful learning which can be applied to improve the surrounding world and to boost motivation and interest in the study of Chemistry by 4th-year-Compulsory-Secondary-Education students. This proposal consists of implementing Project-based Learning with the support of the active methodologies such as the research and the cooperative work. Thus, it is intended to foster the learning process in students of Physics and Chemistry as a subject and encourage their autonomy, sense of responsibility and engagement, decision-making, critical and reflexive thinking, creativity, respect and cooperation. El desarrollo de este proyecto se basa en la investigación de lo desconocido del ser, es decir, se trata de acercarnos a esa parte no explorada de nuestra mente, y entender así, aunque sea de forma superficial, ese vasto mundo que no alcanza a ver nuestra parte racional. El acto principal de este trabajo, es el de conectar la parte inconsciente del cerebro con la parte consciente. Puede parecer algo pretencioso, pero al realizar este ejercicio, nos acercamos a nuestro interior y nos ayuda a conocernos en profundidad, entablando un discurso hacia adentro y descubriéndonos a nosotros mismos. Para alejarme de los pensamientos comunes por los que estamos regidos en el día a día, realizo una serie de manchas de tinta china de forma totalmente aleatoria, sin dar opción a la consciencia para que tome parte en ella. Acto seguido me dispongo a analizar la mancha, en este caso, si me valgo de la consciencia para conocer lo que ha salido de lo más profundo de mi mente. Es en este ejercicio donde aparece la pareidolia como fenómeno de reconocimiento, mediante el cual, las manchas de tinta trazadas de forma aleatoria dejan ver una variedad de seres y un mundo que se aleja de lo conocido. Analizando tanto la mancha como la ilustración que nace del estudio de la misma, comienzo un trabajo minucioso de creación de este universo nuevo que se ha revelado. Usando grafito y papel, voy dándole forma, para así comprender mejor lo que se ocultaba en el interior y que ahora es accesible.

Instrumental practice involves complex motor and cognitive activity that has been the subject of multiple studies, yet there is little research investigating the effects of intervention programs designed to optimize instrumental learning in musicians. In this article we have made a review of studies that include as methodological procedure an intervention directed to the improvement of the instrumental practice that use either techniques of self-regulation of the learning, training in psychological skills or mindfulness. These three types of interventions, common in sport, have been recently incorporated in the musical context. The main conclusion is that these interventions can be positive for the various cognitive and motivational facets of the musician, helping to achieve an autonomous and efficient study practice. La práctica instrumental conlleva una compleja actividad motora y cognitiva que ha sido objeto de múltiples estudios, sin embargo, son escasas las investigaciones que indagan los efectos de programas de intervención diseñados para optimizar el aprendizaje en músicos. En este artículo se ha realizado una revisión de estudios que incluyen como procedimiento metodológico una intervención dirigida a la mejora de la práctica instrumental y que utilicen técnicas de autorregulación del aprendizaje, entrenamiento en habilidades psicológicas o mindfulness. Estos tres tipos de intervenciones, habituales en el ámbito deportivo, son de reciente incorporación en el contexto musical. La principal conclusión que presentamos es que estas intervenciones pueden resultar positivas para las diversas facetas cognitivas y motivacionales del músico, ayudando a lograr una práctica de estudio autónoma y eficiente.
