[EN] In Europe, more than 70% of the population lives in an urban area. All the challenges related to land use conflicts, demographic changes, climate resilience and human well-being are concentrated inside the cities, since the population is already living in urban areas, which are more and more compact and dependent on grey infrastructure. In this context, urban green infrastructure represents a sustainable solution to maintain the benefits and services provided by urban ecosystems and an efficient urban planning tool to face the urban challenges. The sustainability of our cities can be reached adopting an innovative vision using the concept of ecosystem services of the urban green infrastructure. Different initiatives to assess the benefits provided by green infrastructure have emerged in the last decade. However, very few take into account the whole range of services provided by urban green infrastructure. The present article provides a systematic search and synthesis of the most important literature to review indicators of urban green infrastructure. The main goal is to give an insight of how urban green infrastructure is measured in practice. Results show the set of ecosystem services that are being considered when assessing sustainability of green infrastructure and identify the most recurrent indicators at the different scales. While national parks (NPs) have for a long time made substantial contributions to visitor well-being, many spaces remain out of reach of people with disabilities (PwDs). This is partly due to a lack of policies that take accessibility for broader intersectional audiences into consideration. This paper evaluates governance and legal frameworks in NPs in both Canada and Spain. A decision-making framework based on intersectionality realities is proposed to assess current conditions of environmental good governance using a set of descriptors created to scrutinize laws and technical documents that can promote equitable access to NPs. To validate results derived from the regulatory evaluation, semistructured interviews with park managers were carried out. Results revealed the importance of incorporating equity discourses into policies that regulate NP networks to guarantee that all the intersectional realities for park uses are considered in their management. Furthermore, when a country develops a well-structured federal framework under which the rights of PwDs are ensured, it transcends other fields of law. Differences between the Canadian and the Spanish situation are highlighted, as well as the need for links between higher-level policies and laws and on-the-ground implementation, with NP management plans playing an important role.

Aim of study: To verify and prioritise a set of sustainable forestry indicators using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Area of study: Participants were Spanish; indicators were meant to be applied in forest management units (FMUs) under Mediterranean conditions. Material and methods: An AHP questionnaire was developed and sent to experts. Main Results: the set of indicators aimed to be comprehensive. Indicators were ranked and the ranking allows ascertaining what aspects are more relevant in relation to Mediterranean sustainable forestry. Issues like regeneration or habitats conservation got high values, whereas others like hunting activity were not seen as important by most experts. Research highlights: - Sustainable forest management (SFM) considerations for Mediterranean forests. - Indicators adapt to ecosystem services.

[EN] The ever-growing demand for environmental assets is a phenomenon of our times. Calculating the value of these assets could play an important role in providing information about them and also contribute to their conservation and improvement. However, the intangible and subjective aspects involved in this kind of valuation make it difficult, if not impossible, to value them by the traditional methods. This paper proposes the use of the Analytic Multicriteria Valuation Method (AMUVAM), which is a combination of the Analytic Hierarchy Process with Discounted Cash Flow, to obtain an indicator of the Total Economic Value of an environmental asset and that of its individual components. The process takes into consideration both the objective and intangible and subjective values. The proposed method was applied to the valuation of the Pego-Oliva Wetland.

Aesthetic enjoyment can be considered as part of the Total Economic Value (TEV) of landscape. The main purpose of this study is to estimate the relative importance of landscape aesthetics in the full value of Albufera Natural Park (Valencia, Spain). The Analytic Multicriteria Valuation Method (AMUVAM) is applied with the aid of a set of experts that include local and external stakeholders. AMUVAM is a combination of two established techniques: analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and discount cash flow (DCF). According to the experts, existence (EV) and bequest values (BV) are the most important in this landscape, followed by indirect use values (IUV). Aesthetic enjoyment (AE) represents 7% of the TEV in Albufera Natural Park and 24% of the EV in Albufera Natural Park (€176 million). Results reveal distinct patterns in the valuation of TEV and EV. In this way, together with the average, a range of values which shows the different sensitivities of society is provided.

The ecosystem services approach has been proven successful to measure the contributions of nature and greenery to human well-being. Ecosystems have an effect on quality of life, but landscapes also, as a broader concept, may contribute to people s well-being. The concept of landscape services, compared to ecosystem services, involves the social dimension of landscape and the spatial pattern resulting from both natural and human processes in the provision of benefits for human-well being. Our aim is to develop a classification for landscape services. The proposed typology of services is built on the Common International Classification of Ecosystem Services (CICES) and on a critical review of existing literature on human well-being dimensions, existing ecosystem service classifications, and landscape perception. Three themes of landscape services are defined, each divided into several groups: provisioning, regulation and maintenance, cultural and social life fulfillment, with the latter focusing on health, enjoyment, and personal and social fulfillment.
