Latar Belakang: Komplikasi kehamilan dapat terjadi pada ibu dan janin semasa kehamilan yang dapat menyebabkan kesakitan bahkan kematian. Salah satu faktor risikonya ialah tidak patuh mengkonsumsi tablet besi (Fe) dan pelayanan Antenatal Care (ANC) yang tidak teratur. Upaya untuk mengurangi komplikasi yaitu dengan memberikan informasi tentang faktor risiko kehamilan dan lokasi penderita untuk memudahkan pelaksanaan intervensi kepada kelompok sasaran. Tujuan: Penelitiaan ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan menganalisis komplikasi kehamilan berdasarkan cakupan pemberian tablet besi (Fe-3) dan ANC K4 pada tahun 2019 di Surabaya. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif observasional dengan desain studi populasi dari 31 Kecamatan di Kota Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan data sekunder Profil Kesehatan Kota Surabaya tahun 2019. Metode analisis yang digunakan ialah uji korelasi spearman. Pembuatan peta persebaran menggunakan Health Mapper 4.3. Hasil: Peta persebaran dari cakupan pemberian tablet Fe-3 dan kegiatan ANC K4 di Surabaya sama-sama menunjukkan 6 kecamatan yang memiliki cakupan rendah dan 7 kecamatan memiliki cakupan tinggi. Hasil analisis menyebutkan hubungan antara cakupan pemberian tablet Fe-3 dengan komplikasi kehamilan sangat kuat (p=0,001; r=0,985) dan arah yang positif. Selain itu, cakupan antara kegiatan ANC K4 dan komplikasi kehamilan berhubungan dengan korelasi sangat kuat (p=0,001; r=0,982) serta arah yang positif. Kasus komplikasi terjadi di seluruh wilayah Surabaya. Kesimpulan: Cakupan pemberian tablet Fe-3 dan kegiatan ANC K4 tahun 2019 memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian komplikasi kehamilan di Surabaya. Kasus komplikasi kehamilan terbanyak berada pada wilayah dengan cakupan pemberian tablet besi (Fe-3) dan kegiatan ANC K4 yang tinggi.

Kelelahan adalah kondisi yang ditandai dengan menurunnya kemampuan fisik tubuh dan mental sehingga terjadi kelemahan dalam melakukan aktifitas Survey awal menunjukkan SMA N 3 Kabupaten Sidoarjo teridentifikasi yang mengalami kelelahan sebesar 14,7%. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mentransfer pengetahuan tentang mekanisme lelah dan identifikasi gejala kelelahan. Metode kegiatan adalah melakukan survey awal tentang kelelahan, langkah kedua adalah mengadakan pre test. Langkah ketiga adalah promosi dalam bentuk presentasi materi dan diskusi secara online. Langkah terakhir mengadakan evaluasi dalam bentuk post test. Jumlah pelajar SMA N 3 Kabupaten sidoarjo sebanyak 25 pelajar yang terlibat dalam kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya perubahan pengetahuan tentang kelelahan tidur. Hasil pre test menunjukkan pengetahuan dari pertanyaan yang dismpaikan yang menjawab dengan benar antara rerata 9,8 meningkat setelah pemberian materi menjadi 12,72 dengan nilai minimal 0 dan maksimal 15. Kesimpulan promosi pengetahuan kelelahan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan pelajar SMA N 3 kabupaten Sidoarjo.

Despite the plausibility that diabetes may increase the risk of motor vehicle crashes (MVCs) due to various diabetes related complications and co-morbidity, findings from epidemiological studies on the relationship between diabetes and MVCs remained inclusive mainly due to heterogeneity in the study design and failure to complete consideration of potential confounders. This study re-visited this putative association with an improved study design.This study employed a controlled before-after study design and included 1,264,280 people aged 18-75 years with T2D newly diagnosed from 2009-2014 and an equal number of age-, sex-, and time-matched controls. The rate ratios (RRs) of vehicle type-specific incidence rates of MVCs in the 1 and 2 years before and after diabetes diagnosis (or the matched dates) were compared between the individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and their matched controls.The rate of MVCs increased slightly among people with T2D over 1 and 2 years following diabetes diagnosis, with RRs of 1.04 (95% confidence interval [CI]=1.02-1.07) and 1.11 (95% CI=1.09-1.13), respectively. These RRs were comparable to those obtained for controls (1.06 and 1.12, respectively). By contrast, the RRs of scooter crashes were significantly higher in the T2D group than in the control group during the 1 year (1.28 vs. 1.08, p 0.001) and 2 years (1.32 vs. 1.08, p 0.001) following diabetes diagnosis.T2D diagnosis was associated with a moderate but significant increase in the risk of MVCs among scooter drivers, but not among car drivers.

Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease transmitted by the bacteria Leptospira sp. Several areas in Indonesia have become endemic, one of which is in Probolinggo. In addition, this location is a flood-prone area and place for rat sentinel surveillance in the East Java region. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the investigation of the Leptospirosis outbreak in Probolinggo. The study used a descriptive with a case report design on Leptospirosis cases between January to February 2022. The case was derived from the results of Leptospirosis surveillance confirmation data. Based on the findings in January, a high incidence of Leptospirosis was reported and continues to be reported as W1 to the Health Office. Results showed from the investigation of the outbreak there were three cases, male patients, with jobs as traders, retirees, and farmers. The first case resides in Maron District, the second case in Kanigaran District, and the third case in Mayangan District. Most cases were diagnosed as probable (67%) and others as suspect (33%). The three cases had almost the same symptoms such as dizziness, fever, yellow eyes, and muscle aches throughout the body. Two of the three cases were declared dead. It can be concluded that Probolinggo designated as an outbreak of Leptospirosis in 2022. The leptospirosis sentinel surveillance activities carried out were able to detect outbreaks.

Background: Based on the Global Tuberculosis (TB) Report, Indonesia is one of the countries with a triple burden of TB, and TB disease can attack all age groups, including children. East Java Province in 2019 was ranked third in the highest number of pediatric TB cases in Indonesia. Purpose: This study aims to describe the distribution trend of tuberculosis cases in children in East Java Province in 2017-2018 based on BCG immunization coverage, cases of malnutrition, amount of healthy houses, and households with PHBS. Methods: The research design was a descriptive study with a correlation study design. The populations were all districts/cities in East Java Province, with as many as 38 districts. The data analysis technique to describe the trend distribution of tuberculosis in children was the health mapper software on a computer developed by World Health Organization (WHO). Results: The distribution of the incidence of tuberculosis in children in East Java from 2017 to 2018 tends to increase. The city of Surabaya became the area with the highest incidence of tuberculosis in children from 2017 to 2018. Based on a spatial map, most districts or cities with BCG immunization coverage, cases of malnutrition, several healthy homes, and high PHBS households experience tuberculosis incidence in children is high. Conclusion: Based on the map, spatially, districts or cities with high cases of tuberculosis in children mainly occur in areas with cases of malnutrition, the number of healthy home environments, and high coverage of BCG immunization as well.

Pada tanggal 28 September 2018 telah terjadi gempabumi dengan kekuatan 7,4 SR dengan pusat gempa berada di 26 km Utara Donggala dan 80 km Barat Laut kota Palu pada kedalaman 10 km. Guncangan gempa di Palu dapat dirasakan berbagai sekitar (Donggala, Parigi Moutong, Sigi, Poso, dan Toli-Toli) yang memicu tsunami hingga ketinggian 5 meter dan likuifaksi. Dalam kondisi ini keluarga merupakan yang terdampak besar dari akibat multi bencana, dimana banyak keluarga yang mengungsi akibat rumah hancur, tenggelam karena likuifaksi, rusak parah, termasuk kesulitan mendapatkan akses kesehatan, akses pendidikan anak-anak, akses sosial dan ekonomi terhambat. Selain itu, keluarga menjadi kelompok sosial pertama yang dipandang mampu untuk menjalankan komunikasi efektif dalam berbagai hal, sehingga keluarga yang tinggal di daerah rawan bencana lebih memerlukan pendidikan dan pendampingan untuk tanggap bencana untuk menjadi keluarga Tangguh bencana (katana). Terdapat 3 (tiga) tahapan kunci dalam upaya katana, yakni: 1. Sadar risiko bencana, sadar terhadap risiko dan ancaman bencana yang ada di lingkungannya; 2. Pengetahuan, mengetahui dan dapat memperkuat struktur bangunan, paham manajemen bencana, dan edukasi bencana; dan 3. Berdaya, merupakan kemampuan dalam menyelamatkan diri sendiri, keluarga dan tetangga. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah upaya peningkatan dan mendorong peran serta keluarga dalam penanggulangan bencana multi hazard di Kabupaten Sigi, Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah dalam rangka mendukung terbentuknya Keluarga tangguh bencana (Katana). Peningkatan pengetahuan dan skill diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas keluarga dalam penanggulangan bencana multi hazard.

Kota Surabaya sebagai Ibukota Provinsi Jawa Timur menjadi penyumbang angka terbesar kasus COVID-19 di Jawa Timur. Penularan virus terjadi sangat cepat di masyarakat. Puskesmas merupakan fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan tingkat pertama yang menjadi perantara antara instansi kesehatan dan masyarakat. Puskesmas Keputih merupakan salah satu Puskesmas dengan angka kasus COVID-19 yang tinggi di Kota Surabaya. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan penelitian berupa analisis gambaran program pengendalian COVID-19 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Keputih sebagai Puskesmas dengan angka kasus COVID-19 yang tinggi di Surabaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis gambaran pelaksanaan program pengendalian dan pemberantasan COVID-19 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Keputih Kota Surabaya periode bulan Maret – Desember 2020. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dan menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu Puskesmas Keputih melakukan tindakan pengendalian dan pemberantasan COVID-19 menggunakan 5 level pencegahan yaitu promosi kesehatan, perlindungan khusus, deteksi dini dan tindakan tepat, pembatasan kecacatan, dan rehabilitasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah program-program kerja Puskesmas Keputih seluruhnya telah sesuai dengan himbauan dan anjuran dari pemerintah yang disampaikan melalui buku panduan pengendalian COVID-19 yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan. Selain itu program kerja Puskesmas Keputih juga sejalan dengan beberapa hasil penelitian yang diunggah di jurnal internasional.

Angka prevalensi stroke di Indonesia berdasarkan diagnosis pada penduduk umur ≥ 15 tahun pada tahun 2007-2018 menunjukkan adanya peningkatan, serta sebanyak 51% kematian karena stroke disebabkan oleh hipertensi. Hal tersebut menjadi alasan pentingnya dilakukan upaya pencegahan stroke pada penderita hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan umur, jenis kelamin, klasifikasi tekanan darah, lama menderita hipertensi, kepatuhan minum obat antihipertensi, penyakit diabetes, penyakit jantung dengan kejadian stroke pada penderita hipertensi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis studi observasional analitik dengan rancang bangun cross sectional, serta menggunakan data IFLS 5. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara bertahap dengan melakukan cleaning data pada populasi penelitian dan seluruh variabel penelitian, kemudian dilakukan penggabungan data hingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 2.408 orang. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan signifikan antara variabel umur (p=0,000; OR=2,28; 95%CI=1,490-3,495); jenis kelamin (p=0,002; OR=1,73; 95%CI=1,225-2,451); klasifikasi tekanan darah (p=0,043; OR=1,44; 95%CI=1,012-2,065); kepatuhan minum obat anti-hipertensi (p=0,000; OR=0,41; 95%CI=0,286-0,586); penyakit diabetes (p=0,030; OR=1,66; 95%CI=1,050-2,639); penyakit jantung (p=0,035; OR=1,72; 95%CI=1,039-2,878) dengan kejadian stroke pada penderita hipertensi. Variabel lama menderita hipertensi tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kejadian stroke pada penderita hipertensi (p=0,072; OR=1,01; 95%CI=0,998-1,039). Kesimpulan penelitian yakni ada hubungan umur, jenis kelamin, klasifikasi tekanan darah, kepatuhan minum obat anti-hipertensi, penyakit diabetes, penyakit jantung dengan kejadian stroke pada penderita hipertensi, namun tidak ada hubungan antara lama seseorang menderita hipertensi dengan kejadian stroke pada penderita hipertensi. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah perlu memiliki pola hidup sehat bagi penderita hipertensi agar terhindar dari penyakit stroke, khususnya pada laki-laki, memiliki diabetes dan penyakit jantung.

Early Awareness of Extraordinary Events of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) was asked to community (n= 130). Precautions were measured based on community knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. Knowledge, attitude, and behavior are constructs (in the form of a composite variable) from an early awareness of DHF outbreak. The result showed that the knowledge related to the transmission factor and the proliferation of dengue disease was quite good (72.3%). The DHF risk control was also good (93.9%) while the dengue fever eradication was still poor (67.7%). However, the attitude showed that it is still not ready to act on the basis of consciousness. Meanwhile, the results of the data analysis identified that the model of the early awareness measurement on DHF outbreak which consisted of construct variables (knowledge, attitude, and action) were a perfect fit. Based on the measurement model, the level of community awareness on DHF disease can be measured. This showed that the level of early awareness of DHF disease was good 76.2% and only 3.8% were less alert. This means although the less alert percentage is quite small, if people have an attitude of indifference to the prevention of DHF then the impact will affect a wider community.

The COVID-19 pandemic started over 2 years ago and spread rapidly throughout the world. The total number of cases and deaths is still increasing and the situation remains active across the globe. In the Asian region, COVID-19 vaccination began in early 2021; however, the COVID-19 situation remains uncertain. This study aims to compare the factors that influenced the COVID-19 pandemic situation in three countries in Asia (namely, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan) throughout 2021.This ecological study utilises the data from the 'Our World in Data' website.In this study, the COVID-19 pandemic situation in each country is described by looking at the average daily number of deaths and cases per million population throughout 2021. A pairedThe COVID-19 pandemic situation in Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan in 2021 is significantly different from 2020. Malaysia had the highest COVID-19 vaccination coverage (79.4%), followed by Taiwan (78.5%) and Indonesia (58.3%). This study found that the following three factors consistently influenced the number of deaths and cases in these three countries [1]: positivity rate [2]; number of tests per 1000 population; and [3] number of tests per case.Although the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic situations in Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan was different, it is significantly influenced by the quality and quantity of COVID-19 testing and screening, in addition to the vaccination programmes and restriction policies implemented in each country. As a result of the ability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus to mutate, it is recommended that each country strengthen their comprehensive approach to have an effective and efficient coping strategy for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background: A large proportion of cancer deaths are caused by patient delay in accessing hospital treatment. One of the causes of such delays is the use of alternative medicine. Purpose: This research is conducted to determine the characteristics and factors related to the behavior of seeking treatment in the form of alternative medicine among cancer patients at the Indonesian Cancer Foundation (Yayasan Kanker Indonesia). Methods: This research is a quantitative descriptive research with a cross-sectional study design. The target of the research is all patients who temporarily stayed at the Yayasan Kanker Indonesia from February–April 2020, a total of 45 patients aged ≥ 17 years who had been diagnosed with cancer. The data was obtained via questionnaires and interviews. The variables examined are the predisposition factors (sex, age, education, occupation, stage of cancer, time ranges for accessing health services after symptom onset, prior illness, family history), enabling factors (distance to health services, income, health insurance), and reinforcing factors (family support and information resources). Analysis of research data was conducted using frequency tables and Chi-Square or Fisher's Exact test. Results: The factors related to the behavior of seeking treatment via alternative medicine in cancer patients at Yayasan Kanker Indonesia are the stage of cancer (p=0.04), the time span between symptom onset and checking into health services (p=0.02), and length of illness (p=0.03). Conclusion: Alternative treatment search behavior is influenced by several factors, namely the stage of cancer, the time span between symptom onset and checking into health services, and the length of illness.

Latar Belakang: Tuberkulosis (TB) masih terus menjadi endemik di berbagai wilayah di dunia, termasuk di India, penilaian klinis, pengujian, pelacakan kontak, konfirmasi diagnosis dengan rejimen pengobatan yang diawas. Pemberantasan yang efektif menjadi salah satu penyakit yang penanggulangannya menjadi komitmen global dalam SDGs. M enunjang keberhasilan program penanggulangan TB diperlukan adanya data epidemiologi penyakit TB yang dapat diperoleh melalui kegiatan surveilans epidemiologi TB . Tujuan : mengetahui gambaran dan evaluasi komponen system dan atribut surveilans TB di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Blitar tahun 2018. Metode : penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan rancang studi evaluasi. Evaluasi sistem surveilans di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Blitar di lakukan dari April – Juni 2018 dan data. Evaluasi system surveilans program TB dilakukan dengan wawancara untuk memperoleh informasi. Hasil: Berdasarkan komponen sistem surveilans diperoleh bahwa Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan petugas kesehatan dianggap mudah mulai dari alur pengumpulan data, pengisian formulir hingga alur pelaporan walaupun dalam pengiriman laporan masih ada Puskesmas yang terlambat dalam proses pengiriman ke aplikasi SITT . Proses analisis hanya dilakukan ditingkat Dinas Kesehatan, sedangkan ditingkat Puskesmas tidak dilakukan analisis. Pada komponen output, umpan balik yang dilakukan Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten adalah dengan melakukan monitoring mengenai pengumpulan data serta pengiriman laporan melalui aplikasi Whatssapp dan melakukan miniloka setiap 3 bulan . Kesimpulan: Sistem surveilans TB di Kabupaten Blitar masih memerlukan perbaikan dalam pelaksanaannya dalam hal pengumpulan data, analisis data, ketersediaan pedoman surveilans TB hingga pengetahuan petugas terkait dengan surveilans TB .

Latar Belakang: Penyakit coronavirus merupakan penyakit baru yang muncul pertama kali di Wuhan, Cina. Kasus menyebar hingga menginfeksi lebih dari 13 juta jiwa sampai 13 Juli 2020. Kasus COVID-19 pertama kali dilaporkan di Kabupaten Pamekasan pada 29 Maret 2020. Kasus terus mengalami peningkatan dan terjadi lonjakan kasus positif COVID-19 pada bulan Juni. Hingga 3 Juli 2020, total kasus positif COVID-19 di Kabupaten Pamekasan adalah sebanyak 121 orang dan pada saat itu termasuk dalam kategori wilayah risiko tinggi. Tujuan: Penelitian dini ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pelaksanaan deteksi dan respon COVID-19 di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pamekasan. Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan secara observasional dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara mendalam kepada satu penanggungjawab surveilans COVID-19 Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pamekasan dan satu petugas surveilans puskesmas yang dipilih secara random sampling. Hasil akan dibandingkan dengan baru, Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 247 Tahun 2020. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi dilakukan, deteksi dini dan respons COVID-19 di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pamekasan dilakukan melalui peningkatan kerja, koordinasi pelayanan kesehatan, risiko wilayah, koordinasi pelayanan yang kemungkinan dan konfirmasi, pola kontak, pengiriman spesimen, pengadaan logistik, komunikasi risiko, penyelidikan epidemiologi, pengolahan dan analisis data, serta pencatatan dan pelaporan. Namun, kasus kasus ILI belum dilakukan untuk kasus kasus, pengolahan data belum dilakukan secara rutin, dan pelaporan belum sesuai dengan Kepmenkes 247 tahun 2020. Kesimpulan: Masih terdapat ketidaksesuaian pelaksanaan deteksi dini dan tanggap COVID-19 di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pamekasan dengan baru yaitu Kepmenkes 247 tahun 2020 sehingga perlu lebih ditingkatkan dan lebih baru yang ada. The case has spread so widely that it has infected more than 13 million people until July 13, 2020. COVID-19 first reported in Pamekasan District on March 29, 2020. Cases continued to increase, and a surge in COVID-19 cases occurred in June. Until July 3, 2020, the total positive patients of COVID-19 in Pamekasan District were 121 people and at that time included in the high-risk area category. Objectives: This study aims to describe the early detection and response activities for COVID-19 carried out by the Pamekasan District Health Office. Methods: This research was conducted observational with a descriptive design. Data collection obtained from in-depth interviews with one person in charge of surveillance for COVID-19 at the Pamekasan District Health Office and one surveillance officer selected by random sampling. The results will be compared with the guidelines, namely the Minister of Health Decree Number 247 of 2020. Results: Early detection and the response of COVID-19 at the Pamekasan District Health Office is carried out through strengthening networks,coordination with health services facilities, regional risk assessment, monitoring of probable and confirmed cases, contact tracing, specimen delivery, procurement of logistics, risk communication, epidemiological investigations, processing and data analysis, recording and reporting case data. However, ILI case monitoring has not been carried out for case finding, data analysis has not been carried out routinely, and reporting is not in accordance with the Minister of Health Decree 247 of 2020. Conclusions: The implementation of early detection and response to COVID-19 at the Pamekasan District Health Office is still in conformity with the guidelines, so it needs to be further improved and follow the existing approaches. Background: Jombang District is an endemic area of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). Purpose: The aim of this study was to spatially analyze various factors simultaneously (multivariate analysis) in relation to the incidence of DHF in Jombang District during the period 2014–2018. The factors studied were population density, larvae free index, rainfall, coverage of healthy homes, and healthy lifestyle coverage. Methods: The research was conducted as an observational study with an ecology research design. The data were secondary data from the Health Office and Statistic Central Bureau of Jombang District. The population consisted of 21 sub-districts in Jombang District in 2014–2018. The sample used the total population. The data analysis tool used in this study was GeoDa regression Moran's I software. Results: The bivariate analysis showed that there was a correlation between larvae free index (p = 0.04), healthy lifestyle coverage (p = 0.02), rainfall intensity (p = 0.20), population density (p = 0.07), and coverage of healthy houses (p = 0.22) with DHF incidence. According to Moran's I for spatial dependence (multivariate analysis), showed that there was a correlation between all the variables and DHF (p = 0.03). Conclusions: The variables of larvae free index and healthy lifestyle coverage related to the Incidence Rate (IR) of DHF cases. There was no correlation between IR and variable population density, rainfall, or coverage of healthy homes. Various spatial factors are simultaneously related to IR, even though only two variables are shown to be related to IR in the bivariate analysis.

Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Indonesia is one of the ten countries with the most significant number of measles cases in the world. Immunization coverage in Trenggalek Regency has reached the target of prevention of measles in the elimination stage, namely measles immunization coverage> 95%, the incidence of measles persists and increases in the last three years, from 2013 to 2015. Purpose : This study aim ed to evaluate the trends between measles immunization status and the provision of vitamin A with the incidence of measles in Trenggalek Regency. Method s : This type of research is an observational study with a cross-sectional study design. The sample population is consist of 14 sub-districts in Trenggalek Regency. Data was taken from the health profile of Trenggalek Regency in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In this study, data processing were analysed by Health Mapper application version 4.3.0.0 with product version 4.03 to determine data descriptively. Results: Distribution of measles incidence with immunization coverage in Trenggalek Regency in 2013, 2014, and 2015 showed that measles incidence tended to increase followed with the decreasing number of measles immunization coverage each year. Ironically, the distribution of measles incidence with vitamin A administration in 2013, 2014, and 2015 showed the incidence of measles had increased because of the inconsistent amount of vitamin A administration. Conclusion: Measles incidence tends to occur in low immunization coverage areas and has decreased from the previous year. Giving vitamin A does not prevent the occurrence of measles, but serves to reduce compilation.

Traffic accidents are a health problem in both developed and developing countries including Indonesia. Number of traffic accidents each year has increased and traffic accidents in Indonesia is considered by WHO as the third biggest killer after coronary heart disease and tuberculosis. Most traffic accidents involving motorcyclists and the current junior high school students are also involved as a perpetrator of the accident. This study was conducted to determine the relationship of knowledge, the use of traffic lane and the driving speed with the incidence of traffic accidents in junior high school students motorcyclists. Type of research is analytic observational cross-sectional study design. The study population was all junior high school students in Wonokromo Surabaya in 2015. The number of respondents in this study of 100 respondents drawn from the population by using two stage cluster random sampling. The variables studied were knowledge, the use of traffic lane and the driving speed. Results of analysis using chi square test (α = 5%) indicate that knowledge (p = 0,027; RR = 1,966), the use of traffic lane (p = 0,005; RR = 1,894) and the driving speed (p = 0,017; RR = 1,941) has a significantly relationship to the incidence of traffic accidents to junior high school students motorcyclists in Wonokromo sub-district Surabaya 2015. Especially under age children of junior high school student are encouraged to not ride a motorcycle before age sufficient and have a driver’s licence. Beside that, the role of parents to prevent underage motorcyclists is needed to support the efforts of the police and schools in minimizing the number of accident to reduce the number of junir high school student involved in a motorcycle accident.Keywords: traffic accident, risk factors, knowledge, traffic lane, speed

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that may degrade human immune system. This is resulting from interaction between agent, host, environment. Viewed from year to year, case of HIV-AIDS on all parts of world is keep increasing, therefore this disease become health problem feeling concerned about to the society, because beside the vaccine and drug for the prevention of this not yet been found, this disease not generate symptom during its natural history. The objectives of this research were to analyze high risk sexual behavior causing HIV to the drivers of public transportation in Sub-Province Sidoarjo Those were sexual couple during last month, frequency of intercourse with another during last one mont, and usage of condom when doing intercourse with another. This was cross sectional study with the population were all drivers of public transportation who come to follow Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) examination. There were 62 respondents who came to follow it. Data collection was conducted through interview, admission filling of questionnaire and observation. The results than studied by using existing theory. The result of this research showed that any 5% of drivers with positive result of HIV, with risk behavior 22,8% doing intercourse with wife and whore, 4,8% with whore only, 62,9% of them were not use condom while doing intercourse. to reduce risk exposed to HIV, it is recommended to increase their knowledge and give motivation about contagious risk of HIV.Keywords: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the number of couple, sexual frequency, condom utilization, public transportation driver

The rapid progress of development in Indonesia have an impact on increasing life expectancy thus increasing the number of elderly. Elderly is the final stage of life so often experienced various changes and disturbances, one of which is a sleep disorder or Insomnia. The prevalence of insomnia in the elderly is quite high, more than 60% but the appearance of this disorder is often overlooked. This study was conducted observational case-control study design. Research sites in the Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Jombang and performed on 40 elderly people. The study population was divided into 2, 20 people population cases and 20 people population control. The variables studied were depression, chronic disease, sleep hygiene and Insomnia. Most of the elderly suffering from Subtreshold Insomnia with Difficulty Initiating Sleep symptoms are severe. Early Morning Awakening is the least symptom experienced by the elderly. Depression (OR = 22,667), chronic disease (OR = 6.926) and sleep hygiene (OR = 11,000) showed a significant association with Insomnia. The conclusion that can be drawn is perpetuating factors (chronic disease) and precipitating (sleep hygiene) plays a role in the emergence of insomnia in the elderly. The advice given is to take action to control chronic diseases and more attention on sleep disorders experienced by the elderly. Malaria is a public health problem that can affect infant mortality, under five, pregnant women and can reduce productivity. The annual parasite incidence from 2008 antil 2011showed malaria morbidity in Sumbawa district remain high. The Purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of Malaria Surveillance System at the District Health Office Lombok Sumbawa Besar. This study used a descriptive survey method. Subjects were malaria surveillance officer in district Health office, health centers, and hospitals. Research object is a document epidemiological surveillance report of malaria in 2013. Variables of this study is the implementation of malaria surveillance system (input, process, output) and surveillance system attributes. Data obtained from interviews and observations were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the data type on input stage was not yet complete, the quantity of labor was complete but insufficient quality of human resources, facilities and sufficient funds were available. At stage of the data collection process employed W2 weekly report format and monthly report format, report formats and reporting lines were simple, completeness and monthly reports 100% W2, W2 reporting time liness was > 80% and monthly reports was > 90%, Analysis and interpretation of the data was done However the analysis of relationshif was conducted by 20% of primary health care. The resulting output is a description of endemicity areas, API and SPR are presented in tabular form, graph and maps. Dissemination of information is done in the form of reports, workshops and profiles. Feedback is done each month through coordination meeting, regular meetings and regular supervision. Surveillance evaluation system based on attributed surveillance showed its simplicity and acceptability, however sensitivity can not be assessed yet, low NPP 1.75%, report punctuality was > 80%. It is necessary the existence of expert epidemiologists (S2) and skilled epidemiologists (S1), training officer, coordination, and the role of public institutions and budgetary surveillance of malaria increased in all areas Sumbawa district health offices.Keywords: malaria surveillance systems, evaluation, surveillance attributes
