Analyzed in the article is the professional self-regulation of future lawyers. Its structure (components and functions), levels of formation, ways of development of basic mechanisms are determined. The results of an empirical study of the role of professional self-regulation in the law enforcement activity of future lawyers are presented. The article deals with various aspects of the components of legal activity. We define the professional self-regulation of future lawyers as an integrative personal professional characteristic of the future professional of law, which provides for them to realize their actions, feelings, motives, their position and appropriate change of their own activity according to the requirements of the situation. The purpose of the article is to characterize the professional self-regulation of future lawyers (structure, functions, levels of formation, ways of development of basic mechanisms). The methodology is based on the modern principles of pedagogical science, psychology and reflects the interrelationship of methodological approaches to the study of the problem of «professional self-regulation» in the process of professional training of future lawyers in the specialty «Law». Scientific novelty. The structure of professional self-regulation of a future lawyer consists of the following components: motivational, reflexive, emotional volitional, activity. The levels of future lawyers’ professional self-regulation have been determined as: low, medium, high. Self-regulation mechanisms are: at a low level of self-regulation – rigidity, identification, projection; at an average level – rationalization, acceptance and development of social roles, spontaneous activity; at a high level – isolation, reflection, change of meaning of action. Complemented in the article are the methodology and tools for further empirical research on some aspects of the future lawyers' professional self-regulation. Conclusions. 1. The structure of future lawyer’s professional self-regulation consists of the following components: motivational, reflexive, emotional volitional, activity. 2.The functions of professional self-regulation of future lawyers have been clarified as: axiological, planning and forecasting; self-influence; corrective. 3.The levels of future lawyer’s professional self-regulation have been determined as: low, medium, and high. 4. The mechanisms of self-regulation of future lawyers are: at а low level of self-regulation – rigidity, identification, projection; at an average level – rationalization, acceptance and development of social roles, spontaneous activity; at a high level – isolation, reflection, change of meaning of action.
