In conditions of modern industrial poultry eggs are often contaminated with enteropathogens, on the surface of the shell there are such microbes as Salmonella, staphylococci and streptococci, intestinal and Pseudomonas aeruginosa sticks, Proteus, fungi, etc. Most industrial poultry farms are integrated enterprises operating on the principle of «vertical communication », which is characterized by significant concentration of poultry in limited areas, this in turn leads to sharp increasing of number of microorganisms on the egg surface, as well as an increase of their pathogenicity. The search for new effective and cost-safe drugs that meet all modern requirements is an actual and economically justified scientific direction. The aim of the present research was to develop effective modes and technologies of disinfection of eggs shell surface by preparation «Jodеs». As a result of the conducted research, high contamination of the shell by microflora, including CGB and mold fungi, was established. The regimes and technology of disinfection of eggs using the disinfectant «Jodеs» in 1% concentration were developed: with small – scale irrigation (wet disinfection method) – exposure for 3 hours; and full immersion for few seconds. It is established that the drug «Jodеs» in 1% concentration effectively sanitize the surface of the shell. Using this drug and compliance with its application can achieve protection of poultry from unwanted microflora.

Negative T wave and lack of ST segment elevation in predischarge ECG in ST-segment elevation myocardial infraction (STEMI) patients are given as markers of good prognosis. Repolarization duration, especially its late part (TpeakTend - TpTe), likewise ST-T patterns, is related to local post-myocardial infarction myocardial attributes. We analyzed the differences in QT parameters in STEMI patients with negative or not-negative T wave pattern in predischarge ECG.The data from 83 STEMI patients (LVEF45%, first MI, one-vessel disease) who underwent successful percutaneous coronary intervention of infarct-related coronary artery (TIMI 3 flow) were collected. According to ST-T patterns in predischarge ECG, the cohort was divided into two groups: 38 patients with persistent ST elevation and/or non-negative T wave pattern (STT+), and 45 patients with negative T wave, without ST elevation (STT-). QT, QTpeak, and TpTe intervals were obtained from 5 consecutive beats of sinus rhythm 60-70 bpm between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. from Holter recording, corrected to the heart rate (HR) with Bazett's formula. The study groups did not differ in gender, age, or treatment. No true antiarrhythmics were given. Both QTc and TpTec were longer in STT+ patients: 459 +/- 26 ms vs. 440 +/- 25 ms, p = 0.01 and 108 +/- 10 ms vs. 96 +/- 11 ms, p = 0.000015, respectively. Prolongation of late repolarization was found both in anterior and inferior infarction.STEMI patients who underwent successful percutaneous coronary intervention of infarct-related coronary arteries and demonstrated persistent ST elevation, without negative T wave at hospital discharge, had a longer repolarization duration, especially the late phase of it. Further studies are necessary to assess the prognostic value of this finding.

This article broaches the sample implementation of the WWW Module for Intelligent Housing system, based on a single-chip, 8-bit microcomputer, which was scope of the master diploma thesis of one of the authors. It describes both the hardware and software part of the module with special focus on the solution of pseudo-parallel processing of network data, including the way of handling many network connections to the server at the same time. The authors consider the use of embedded interrupt system as a base of a time-division multiplexing (TDM) software layer developed and describe the developed version of minimal TCP/IP stack (so called microstack), with an overview of all protocols implemented. Also the implementation of a simple WWW server with capability to interact with module inputs and outputs is being discussed, as well as the possibility of interaction with other Intelligent Housing modules connected to the Module. The article shows exemplary applications of the mentioned Web Module and delivers information about ways of extending the Web Modulepsilas functionality.

Glucose metabolism disorders usually coexist with dyslipidemia and coagulation/fibrinolysis disturbances. Increase of insulin resistance followed by hyperinsulinemia leads to enhanced protein synthesis, including production of apolipoproteins. As a result, the structure of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) becomes small and dense. This augments lipid infiltration into the arterial wall. Following this process monocyte adhesion to endothelium initiates atherosclerotic injury. One of the markers of this inflammatory reaction is Monocyte Chemoattractant Peptide-1 (MCP-1). A lot of inflammatory mediators affect both oxidative modification of LDL and coagulation processes being responsible for anti-fibrinolytic predominance. Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) is a marker of this state. Therefore the aim of this study is to evaluate the marker of the oxidation processes (oxLDL) as well as prothrombotic (PAI-1) and inflammatory state (MCP-1) markers in patients with Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT).The study was carried out on 16 subjects: 10 with biochemically confirmed IGT and 6 age-matched healthy persons without such disorders. Following tests were performed: OGTT, HbA(1c) level as well as TCh, HDL, LDL and TG. Plasma concentrations of oxLDL, PAI-1 and MCP-1 were measured using ELISA method. In patients with Impaired Glucose Tolerance plasma levels of oxLDL were significantly higher compared to control group (67.6 +/- 0.9 U/l vs. 57.8 +/- 4.0 U/l; p0.01) in spite of LDL levels, which did not reveal such difference. MCP-1 plasma concentration compared to control group occurred to be significantly increased in experimental group as well (156.4 +/- 9.2 ng/ml vs. 125.4 +/- 1.9 ng/ml; p0.05). PAI-1 level revealed most significant difference (84.0 +/- 1.8 ng/ml vs. 43.7 +/- 2.7 ng/ml; p0.0001).It is concluded that patients with Impaired Glucose Tolerance should be considered as a group in which atherogenic modification of lipoproteins occurred. Also plasma inflammatory as well as prothrombotic markers concentration was elevated.

An environment for the design and simulation of multidimensional (M-D) digital filters is described, consisting of a color real-time video acquisition and display system and an M-D filter analysis and simulation facility. It is capable of performing comprehensive frequency-domain analysis and precisely controlled spatiotemporal-domain simulations from signal-flow-graph descriptions of M-D filters. The Multi-Dimensional Network Analysis Program (MDNAP) demonstrates that the filter successfully removes the moving fence and significantly reduces the noise and blocking effects of JPEG compression. >

The design and implementation of a real-time 3D digital filter for video signals are described. The filter implements a completely general 3D, first-order, recursive, discrete-time transfer function at NTSC-video rates (480/spl times/512 pixels, 30 f/s). A fully-parallel systolic structure is chosen based on its short critical path, regularity, local interconnectivity, internal overflow immunity, minimized memory requirements and expandability. The implementation is carried out with discrete logic on PCBs and consists of 634 ICs distributed over 12 modules. A comprehensive workstation-based GUI, which includes a 3D filter-design facility, directly communicates with the filter to control its numerous parameters. The hardware can be further expanded to implement higher orders and 3D real-time adaptive filter algorithms. To our knowledge, this is the first such filter to be reported in the literature.
