This study assessed the incidence of mild, moderate and severe adverse events (AEs) and examined their association with age, sex, body region examined, time to event and duration of the AE(s) in a large cohort of patients who underwent contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) with Lumason/SonoVue. In this retrospective observational study, 49,100 patients who underwent CEUS were analyzed. Forty-three (0.088%) patients experienced AEs, with 23 (0.047%) patients experiencing mild AEs, 13 (0.026%) experiencing moderate AEs and 7 (0.014%) experiencing severe AEs. No fatal event occurred. There was no age- or sex-related difference in the incidence of the AE(s) (p = 0.158 and p = 0.474). Inpatients (0.17%) more often experienced AEs than outpatients (0.06%, p = 0.003). The mean time to event for mild and moderate AEs was 14.50 ± 6.96 and 15.75 ± 10.40 min, respectively, whereas that for severe AEs was 1.89 ± 1.21 min after the injection. The remission time for mild and moderate AEs was approximately 30-40 min, and all patients with severe AEs recovered within 12 h. Twenty-one (48.8%) patients received medical treatment. In summary, Lumason/SonoVue has a good safety profile with a low incidence of AEs, most of which are mild with a short time to event and duration.

Nanoscience has been developing rapidly in recent years, and nanotechnology products are emerging and involving the automotive industry. Nanomaterials, with their unique physical and chemical properties, can significantly improve the safety and durability of vehicles. This paper reviews recent advances in nanotechnology and how this technology can be applied to improve vehicle comfort, safety and environmental friendliness. In addition, the paper systematically examines recent developments and applications of nanotechnology in the vehicle industry, including nanocoatings, glass and mirrors, tires, nanoparticles for automotive lubrication and exhaust gas treatment. In addition, the main challenges for wider applications, such as environmental, health and safety issues, are presented, and trends in the development of nanotechnology in the automotive industry are indicated.

In this paper, we design a metasurface terahertz perfect absorber with multi-frequency selectivity and good incident angle compatibility using a double-squared open ring structure. The transition from puddled-transplanted rice (Oryza sativa L.) (PTR) to direct-seeded rice (DSR) is gaining popularity in central China. In contrast, the PTR system is the most common practice in southwest China. Weeds are a major problem in the paddy fields of the DSR systems, and herbicides are widely used for weed control. However, the increased frequency and rate of herbicide use leads to the rapid evolution of resistance. Smallflower umbrella sedge (Cyperus difformis L.) is a troublesome weed species in rice fields of China and is usually controlled by the acetolactate synthase (ALS)-inhibiting herbicide bensulfuron-methyl. Here, we collected 32 C. difformis populations from DSR systems (Hunan Province) and PTR systems (Guangxi Province) and investigated their resistance to bensulfuron-methyl. Results revealed 80% (8 out of 10) populations from Hunan Province and 14% (3 out of 22) populations from Guangxi Province had evolved resistance to bensulfuron-methyl. Five populations from Hunan Province (HN-2, HN-3, HN-5, HN-9, HN-10) possessing the Trp-574-Leu mutation had high-level resistance (ranging from 169- to >1,309-fold) based on GR50 ratios. The resistant populations from Guangxi Province had a lower level of resistance to bensulfuron-methyl due to a Pro-197-Ser mutation. The Asp-376-Glu mutation was only identified in the HN-4 population. In addition, the GX-3 population from the PTR systems was resistant to bensulfuron-methyl without ALS gene mutations, indicating non–target site resistance (NTSR). Although some resistant populations of both regions exhibited cross-resistance to multiple ALS-inhibiting herbicides, including pyrazosulfuron-ethyl, bispyribac-sodium, penoxsulam, and imazapic, sensitivity was also detected to the auxin herbicide MCPA and the photosystem II–inhibiting herbicides bentazone and propanil. These results indicate that cultivation practices affect resistance evolution in C. difformis. DSR systems exert high selection pressure by selecting the Trp-574-Leu mutation, resulting in high-level resistance. In contrast, a mutation at Pro-197 plus NTSR likely plays a significant role in ALS resistance in the PTR systems.

Smart radiation device (SRD) based on the asymmetrical Fabry-Perot cavity automatically tune its IR emittance depending on the ambient temperature, making it an ideal choice for thermal control system of spacecrafts. The low solar absorption is desirable for SRD to prevent the spacecraft from overheating by sun light. In this paper, a multilayer highly reflective film with LHk stacking layers is designed to reduce the solar absorptance (As) of the Ag/Al2O3/VO2 structured SRD. The reflective film achieves a high reflection band in ~220 nm bandwidth from 460 nm to 680 nm, which results in a reduction of the solar absorptance by 25.56 % for SRD working at low temperature and 24.27 % at high temperature as the stacking factor k= 5. The simulation results indicate that an economic reflective film with k= 3 can achieve effective suppression of As of SRD, demonstrating the promising potential of the proposed reflective film in thermal control application of spacecrafts.

Purpose: We aim to present effective and computer aided diagnostics in the field of ophthalmology and improve eye health. This study aims to create an automated deep learning based system for categorizing fundus images into three classes: normal, macular degeneration and tessellated fundus for the timely recognition and treatment of diabetic retinopathy and other diseases.Methods: A total of 1,032 fundus images were collected from 516 patients using fundus camera from Health Management Center, Shenzhen University General Hospital Shenzhen University, Shenzhen 518055, Guangdong, China. Then, Inception V3 and ResNet-50 deep learning models are used to classify fundus images into three classes, Normal, Macular degeneration and tessellated fundus for the timely recognition and treatment of fundus diseases.Results: The experimental results show that the effect of model recognition is the best when the Adam is used as optimizer method, the number of iterations is 150, and 0.00 as the learning rate. According to our proposed approach we, achieved the highest accuracy of 93.81% and 91.76% by using ResNet-50 and Inception V3 after fine-tuned and adjusted hyper parameters according to our classification problem.Conclusion: Our research provides a reference to the clinical diagnosis or screening for diabetic retinopathy and other eye diseases. Our suggested computer aided diagnostics framework will prevent incorrect diagnoses caused by the low image quality and individual experience, and other factors. In future implementations, the ophthalmologists can implement more advanced learning algorithms to improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
