Aquaponics is an evolving sector with significant presence in arid regions or areas that have scarce arable land. Since they are a combination of aquaculture and hydroponics, naturally the focus of such systems will be the amount and quality of the food produced. Nevertheless, aquaponic systems also contain large quantites of various microorganisms that helps with fish growth and the assimilation of nutrients by plants. In a way, they are cleaning up the water as well but this aspect of aquaponic systems is largely ignored. In this study, effluent from a sewage treatment plant was fully applied in a media bed unit aquaponic system in place of natural freshwater to investigate the capability of the system in improving the quality of the water. On top of that, economic feasibility of such a system using the benefit-cost ratio method was also studied. It was found through this study that the first 12 hours upon application of the contaminated water is when the rate of change in the parameters were greatest. The water quality parameters tested (biochemical oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, ammonia-nitrogen, nitrate-nitrogen, phosphorous, oil & grease) showed good improvement by the end of each trial. Economic feasibility of the treated sewage effluent aquaponic system was also studied using the benefit-cost ratio and it was found that the system is able to deliver a positive net present value. In short, aquaponic systems is a feasible alternative to traditional farming and agriculture.

Zinc deficiency in cereal crops is a significant issue for human health. Rice, being a staple food crop, could cause severe zinc deficiency. The use of zinc-solubilizing bacteria (ZSB) is an ecological tactic to raise bioavailable zinc in the soil that may alleviate yield loss and, subsequently, enhance the nutritional value of rice. In the presented study, treating rice plants with plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria S. marcescens FA-4 along with the recommended dose of chemical Zn and half dose of chemical Zn ensued under pot and field conditions at the COMSATS University, Islamabad, Pakistan. The obtained data indicated an augmentation in rice growth, yield, and grain zinc content in response to the S. marcescens FA-4 inoculation with and without the chemical Zn application. The S. marcescens FA-4 significantly enhanced the grain zinc content (21.4–27.7 mg kg-1) under the pot and (18.7–30.1 mg kg-1) under field conditions, with 1.5 to twofold rise in superoxide dismutase (SOD) and carbonic anhydrase (CA) activity in rice compared with the control. The rice plants treated with zinc solubilizing bacteria, followed by zinc treatments gave higher grain yields of 23.4–34.1 g pot-1 and 3.2–3.6 t ha−1 in rice cultivars, Basmati 385 and Super Basmati. The S. marcescens FA-4 with a half dose of chemical Zn also increased the zinc translocation index (1.4 to 1.7) toward grains. Consistency in the performance of zinc solubilizing bacteria occurred in the pot and field conditions. Hence, a conclusion that the use of zinc solubilizing strains is an efficient approach to enhance the zinc content of rice grains and combat the problem of zinc deficiency in humans.

This paper reviews the interpretation of one of the figures of modern interpretation, in which the interpretation is expected to be a solution to the problems of human life as the Qur'an was revealed as a mercy to the universe. Among the problems is leadership. Among the mufassir figures in Indonesia who have sat in government is Buya Hamka, who not interprets verses indices by getting involved in government. This study aims to find out how Buya Hamka interprets leadership in the Qur'an. The method used is a descriptive analysis where the primary source used is the book of al-Azhar interpretation. The author also explains asbab nuzul verses related to leaders in the Qur'an. Buya Hamka explained the meaning of a leader by using society's social context and conditions at that time and in a global context. Buya Hamka explained that fair leadership is omniscient and submissive to what God commands by providing benefit to the community without any elements to lead them astray.

This paper studies the accuracy comparison between ultrasonic and surface wave methods for crack depth detection. A concrete panel with a thickness of 10 cm, located in a 112 km long water conveyance channel, was used as the object for crack depth detection. A total of 114 cracks were detected using both ultrasonic and surface wave methods, and the results show that the detection values of ultrasonic method are smaller than those of surface wave method. In addition, the data of 9 cracks that penetrated the concrete panel were compared and analyzed, and the results show that the detection error of ultrasonic method is between -22% and 41%, while that of surface wave method is between -7% and 27%. Based on the comprehensive analysis of experimental results, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) Both ultrasonic and surface wave methods can effectively detect crack depth; (2) The detection values of both methods are smaller than the actual crack depth; (3) Compared with ultrasonic method, surface wave method has higher detection accuracy and its detection results are closer to the actual crack depth.

L'élevage porcin dans la localité Matcha est de type traditionnel. L’animaux vagabondant dans les villages et les champs des alentours à la recherche de sa nourriture, où à certains endroits, il est élevé attaché au piquet où la corde lui confie une superficie pour son ravitaillement. L’étude que nous avons menée a fait objet de 7 principaux helminthes entre autres : Strongyloides ransomi, Ascaris suum, Macracanthorhynchus hirudinaceus, Trichuris suis, Metastrongylus salmi, Physocephalus sexalatus et Gnathostoma hispidum. Le Tænia solium, responsable de la cysticercose, n’a pas fait objet de notre recherche car il semble avoir aujourd'hui presque disparu dans la localité Matcha en raison de la facilité pour les services vétérinaires à le détecter. Les caractéristiques socio-économiques actuelles de la production porcine dans la localité Matcha n’envisage pas une prophylaxie rationnelle de ces parasitoses par les anthelminthiques. Dans ce milieu, la viande de porc est plus abordable que les autres viandes et fait objet d’une forte demande des milieux environnants et principalement de la ville de Goma située à plus ou moins 28 km. La présence de ces helminthiases n’est pas à ignorer et doit amener les services vétérinaires à poursuivre leurs efforts dans la recherche approfondie afin d’épargner cette population de différentes zoonoses dont cette viande serait la source et pourquoi pas interpeller le gouvernement à mettre au point des stations gouvernementales dirigées par les vétérinaires dans l’objectif de lutter contre les helminthes.

Pamelo (Citrus maxima (Burm) Merr.) sangat potensial untuk dikembangakan karena memiliki karateristik yang khas. Pamelo (Citrus maxima) merupakan salah satu tanaman buah yang dapat diperbanyak dengan perbanyakan vegetatif cangkok. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh panjang keratan terhadap keberhasilan cangkok dan memperoleh informasi mengenai panjang keratan optimal dalam mencangkok tanaman jeruk pamelo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Cikabayan, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian IPB dan Laboratorium Pasca Panen IPB dari Februari hingga Juni 2022. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) faktor tunggal pengaruh panjang keratan diantaranya 1,5 cm, 3 cm, 4,5 cm, dan 6 cm. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata antar perlakuan pada variabel pengamatan jumlah daun muda cangkok, luas daun total cangkok, tingkat kehijauan daun, bobot basah akar, panjang akar rata-rata, dan jumlah tunas setelah pindah tanam. Panjang keratan 6 cm menunjukkan nilai beberapa parameter pengamatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnnya, walaupun demikian secara umum pada kenyataannya panjang keratan 1,5 cm, 3 cm, 4,5 cm, dan 6 cm merupakan panjang keratan yang cukup optimal karena menghasilkan persentase hidup yang tinggi, baik saat masih berada pada pohon induk maupun setelah ditanam ke dalam polibag. Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan penting sebagai sumber pemasukan devisa Negara Indonesia. Keberhasilan panen akan menunjang peningkatan produktivitas tanaman sehingga kegiatan pemanenan kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang penting dalam pengelolaan perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Utara Petapahan, Kampar, Riau pada tanggal 18 Januari hingga 17 Mei 2021. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi manajemen pemanenan kelapa sawit. Aspek yang diamati meliputi perencanaan panen, pelaksanaan panen, dan evaluasi panen. Kegiatan pemanenan di Kebun Utara Petapahan sudah berjalan cukup baik, terlihat dari hasil produksi harian yang sesuai dengan taksasi produksi dengan nilai varian rata-rata dibawah 5% dan muatan panen pada alat truk yang sudah sesuai kapasitas. Walaupun demikian beberapa hal masih perlu diperbaiki dan ditingkatkan seperti rotasi panen yang masih panjang, pengadaan alat pelindung diri (APD) kaca mata dan kepatuhan dalam penggunaan helm yang masih dibawah angka 100%, mutu buah busuk yang sudah diatas standar sebesar 1.69% dari batas toleransi 1% , kapasitas pemanen rata-rata masih belum mencapai basis panen, kehilangan hasil berupa berondolan yang tidak terkutip dan buah matang tidak di panen masih ditemukan pada saat pemeriksaan hanca. Introduction. Distributing public funds to the “best” researchers is a key element of the science policy. Evaluation is a fundamental activity for the allocation of competitive funding. The flaws of peer review have led to increased interest in the use of bibliometric indicators for the evaluation of the research project proposals.Problem Statement. The advantajes and advance of bibliometrc is stimulated interest toward the correlation of peer review and applicants’ bibliometric indicators. The results of such studies are different and heterogeneous. Such studies are insufficient in Eastern Europe.Purpose. To establish the correlation between peer review and bibliometric indicators of project team leaders within the call for research projects in Moldova, which are financed from public funds for 2020—2023.Material and Methods. Statistical correlation of the results of national competition of R&D proposals (evaluation and funding) and the bibliometrics indicators of project team leaders (publications ant patents); analytical analysis of the contextual factors influencing this correlation.Results. The results of the analysis have shown a positive, albeit weak correlation between the scores assigned by experts and the previous performances of leaders. The most significant relation is between the call results and the Hirsh index in Web of Science and Scopus databases. However, the projects proposed by the most cited researchers in WoS and Scopus or the founders of scientific schools did not receive funding.Conclusions. The analysis of the national R&D competition has proved that previous scientific performance of team leaders influenced the evaluation results and the funding of project proposals. However, these dependencies are not linear and seem to be affected by the conflicts of interest and “old boys” schemes. This fact calls for significant changes of the process: ensuring the transparency, the involvement of foreign experts and the use of bibliometric indicators in evaluation.

This study aimed to develop bone regenerative therapeutic strategies, based on the addition of bone marrow stromal cells (BMSC) on bioglass/collagen (BG/COL) scaffolds. For this purpose, an in vivo study was conducted using tissue response of the BG/COL scaffolds combined with BMSC in a critical-size defects. Wistar rats were submitted to the surgical procedure to perform the cranial critical size bone defects and distributed in four groups (20 animals per group): Control Group (CG) (rats submitted to the cranial bone defect surgery without treatment), Bioglass Group (BG) (rats treated with BG), BG/COL Group (rats treated with BG/COL) and Bioglass/Collagen and BMSC Group (BG/COL/BMSC) (rats treated with BG/COL scaffolds enriched with BMSCs). Animals were euthanized 15 and 30 days after surgery. Scanning electron microscopy, histopathological and immunohistochemistry analysis were used. SEM analysis demonstrated that porous scaffolds were obtained, and Col fibers were successfully impregnated to BG matrices. The implantation of the BMSC on BG/COL based scaffolds was effective in stimulating newly bone formation and produced an increased immunoexpression of markers related to the bone repair. These results highlight the potential of BG/COL scaffolds and BMSCs to be used as a therapeutic approach for bone regeneration.

En République Démocratique du Congo en générale et dans la province du Maniema en particulier, la culture du Cacao « Theobroma cacao » est essentiellement pratiquée par des paysans qui utilisent des méthodes traditionnelles ou empiriques. Cette étude signale que les maladies pouvant attaquer la culture du Cacao existe bien à Kindu et ses environs et que les symptômes sont indicateurs d’une baisse de production, comme cela prouvé ailleurs. Cet état des connaissances pourrait être guidé par des tests d’expérimentations et d’analyses poussées pour mieux comprendre l’expansion du phénomène dans la province du Maniema en générale et dans la ville de Kindu particulier. Des paramètres liés à la maladie (l’incidence, le taux d’attaques foliaires, l’indice de gravité des symptômes et la chute précoce des cabosses, la perte de rendement) ont été étudiés. Les résultats obtenus ont montré que les Cacao de Kindu sont infectés avec une incidence variant entre (16,82%) et (54,22%) à Kindu et un taux d’attaque moyen variant entre 11% et 29%. Nous avons constaté d’après ces résultats, que 54,22% des plants infectés affichent des indices de sévérités ou Indice de Gravité des Symptômes IGS inquiétants qui varient de 1 à 4 susceptibles de faire baisser la production dans le zone étudiée. L’impact économique de maladies et ravageurs de la culture de Cacao s’est traduit par une perte de rendement au niveau des cabosses réduisant de façon significative les efforts des paysans cultivateurs. Il serait nécessaire de réglementer le contrôle et la distribution des semences saines et/ou matériels de culture sains, la sélection des variétés, l’éducation des paysans pour l’amélioration des techniques culturales et la maitrise des différents paramètres agronomiques.

Objectives: Primary objectives: To determine whether local anesthetic transperineal (LATP) prostate biopsy improves the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa), defined as International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP) Grade Group ≥2 disease (i.e. any Gleason pattern 4 disease), compared to transrectal ultrasound-guided (TRUS) prostate biopsy, in biopsy-naïve men undergoing biopsy based on suspicion of csPCa. Secondary objectives: To compare i) infection rates, ii) health-related quality of life (HRQoL), iii) patient-reported procedure tolerability, iv) patient-reported biopsy-related complications (including bleeding, bruising, pain, loss of erectile function), v) number of subsequent prostate biopsy procedures required, vi) cost-effectiveness, vii) other histological parameters, and viii) burden and rate of detection of clinically insignificant PCa (ciPCa) (ISUP Grade Group 1 disease) in men undergoing these two types of prostate biopsy. Patients and Methods: The TRANSLATE trial is a UK-wide, multi-centre, randomised clinical trial that meets the criteria for level-one evidence in diagnostic test evaluation. TRANSLATE is investigating whether LATP biopsy leads to a higher rate of detection of csPCa compared to TRUS prostate biopsy. Both biopsies are being performed with an average of 12 systematic cores in 6 sectors (depending on prostate size), plus 3-5 target cores per multi-parametric/bi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (mp/bp-MRI) lesion. LATP biopsy is performed using an ultrasound probe-mounted needle guidance device (either the “Precision-Point” or BK UA1232 system). TRUS biopsy is performed according to each hospital's standard practice. The study is 90% powered to detect a 10% difference (LATP biopsy hypothesised at 55% detection rate for csPCa, versus 45% for TRUS biopsy). 1,042 biopsy-naïve men referred with suspected PCa need to be recruited. Conclusions: This trial will provide robust prospective data to determine the diagnostic ability of LATP biopsy versus TRUS biopsy in the primary diagnostic setting.

The ‘livestock revolution’ has seen the lives and livelihoods of peri-urban peoples increasingly intertwine with pigs and poultry across Africa in response to a rising demand for meat protein. This ‘revolution’ heralds the potential to address both poverty and nutritional needs. However, the intensification of farming has sparked concern, including for antibiotic misuse and its consequences for antimicrobial resistance (AMR). These changes reflect a micro-biopolitical conundrum where the agendas of microbes, farmers, publics, authorities and transnational agencies are in tension. To understand this requires close attention to the practices, principles and potentials held between these actors. Ethnographic research took place in a peri-urban district, Wakiso, in Uganda between May 2018 and March 2021. This included a medicine survey at 115 small- and medium-scale pig and poultry farms, 18 weeks of participant observation at six farms, 34 in-depth interviews with farmers and others in the local livestock sector, four group discussions with 38 farmers and 7 veterinary officers, and analysis of archival, media and policy documents. Wide-scale adoption of quick farming was found, an entrepreneurial phenomenon that sees Ugandans raising ‘exotic’ livestock with imported methods and measures for production, including antibiotics for immediate therapy, prevention of infections and to promote production and protection of livelihoods. This assemblage – a promissory assemblage of the peri-urban – reinforced precarity against which antibiotics formed a potential layer of protection. The paper argues that to address antibiotic use as a driver of AMR is to address precarity as a driver of antibiotic use. Reduced reliance on antibiotics required a level of biosecurity and economies of scale in purchasing insurance that appeared affordable only by larger-scale commercial producers. This study illustrates the risks – to finances, development and health – of expanding an entrepreneurial model of protein production in populations vulnerable to climate, infection and market dynamics.

Mobile Legend menjadi salah satu Mobile Game berbasis kan internet dan juga memiliki pemain (pelanggan) dengan jumlah yang besar di Indonesia. Dengan jumlah pemain aktif yang tinggi, perlu untuk dianalisa mengenai loyalitas dari para pemain. Loyalitas (Customer Loyalty) ini dapat diteliti berdasarkan empat variabel utama yaitu Product Feature yang berfokus pada Gameplay dan User Interface. Lalu Price pada faktor Price on The Game dan Price of The Virtual Item. Game Designed dengan aspek Game Value, Interaction dan Community. Serta Operator Telekomunikasi dengan menganalisis faktor Infrastructure Provider, Ecosystem Development Partner dan juga Sales Partner. Analisis data untuk penelitian ini akan menggunakan SPSS edisi 25 dan AMOS. Operator Telekomunikasi hanya memberikan pengaruh akan tetapi tidak besar dan perlunya perencanaan lebih matang untuk pengembangan infrastruktur dan juga penjualan. Lain halnya dengan Product Feature, hanya sebesar 1% pengaruh yang diberikan terhadap loyalitas pemain. Serta Product Features tidak signifikan dikarenakan adanya saturasi permainan. Selain itu Price termasuk signifikan dikarenakan karena ada banyaknya interaksi yang bisa dilakukan selama bermain serta dorongan yang berasal dari komunitas-komunitas yang ada, sehingga meningkatkan loyalitas dari pemain. Game Value memiliki pengaruh terbesar dalam menjaga loyalitas pemain. Tingginya nilai yang didapatkan karena ada banyaknya interaksi yang bisa dilakukan selama bermain serta dorongan yang berasal dari komunitas-komunitas yang ada, sehingga meningkatkan loyalitas dari pemain.

Pada Agustus 2021, terjadi perubahan kontrak bagi hasil pada lapangan ini, kontrak yang sebelumnya digunakan adalah PSC Cost Recovery, berganti menjadi PSC Gross Split. Perbandingan kontrak inibertujuan untuk mengevaluasi perbandingan kedua model keekonomian tersebut, dan juga untuk menentukan skema yang lebih efisien dan tepat untuk diterapkan pada lapangan A. Serta, menganalisis parameter-parameter yang dapat mempengaruhi indikator keekonomian lapangan A. Hasil dari analisis keekonomian yang telah dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa skema PSC Gross Split lebih baik dibanding skema PSC Cost Recovery. Untuk PSC Cost Recovery, NPV yang didapat untuk 30 sumur yaitu sebesar 13.848.000 US$, IRR rata-rata sebesar 118%, POT rata-rata sebesar 1,43 tahun, Contractor Takesebesar 20.740.000 US$, dan Government Take sebesar 176.587.000 US$. Sedangkan untuk PSC GrossSplit, NPV yang didapat untuk 30 sumur sebesar 37.906.000 US$, IRR rata-rata sebesar 245%, POTrata-rata sebesar 1,30 tahun, Contractor Take sebesar 52.544.000 US$, dan Government Take sebesar 136.402.000 US$. Analisis sensitivitas yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa parameter jumlah produksi minyak dan harga minyak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kedua skema

The community's decision in choosing a university is an activity that requires a lot of consideration. Basically, the decision to choose a university is always related to the marketing process by the party offering the service. This is in line with the opinion of Mulyawan and Sidharta (2013) in Shaleh et al., (2018) which states that service marketing plays an important role in meeting consumer needs, including the need for input in choosing universities. The purpose of the study was to determine the contribution of motivation, attitudes, personality (internal factors), reference groups, family, college image, and promotion via social media (external factors) to the decision to study in private universities. The data analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS 21 software. The population in this study was Majalengka University students with a sample of 198 people, and the sampling technique used was proportionate random sampling. The results of the research show that partially motivation, personality, family support, college image, and promotion via social media have a significant contribution to the decision to study in private universities. Meanwhile attitudes and reference groups did not significantly contribute to the decision to study in private universities. The two most dominant factors in contributing to college decisions are family support and college image.

Menganalisa penurunan laju produksi pada suatu sumur panas bumi sangat penting dilakukan demi memecahkan masalah dan keberlansungan hidup, apalagi pada sumur panas bumi tersebut tidak mempunyai sumur injeksi. Laju penurunan produksi suatu lapangan panas bumi dapat ditentukan setelah lapangan tersebut dioperasikan. Lapangan panas bumi Ulumbu adalah lapangan panas bumi vapour dominated yang telah beroperasi sejak tahun 2011-2022 dengan kapasitas sebesar 4 x 2.5 MW dari 1 sumur. Secara umum, penurunan produksi pada lapangan panas bumi adalah hal yang alamiah terjadi. Penurunan produksi ini dapat terjadi akibat faktor reservoir (reservoir problem), faktor lubang sumur (mechanical problems), atau pun faktor operasi. Semakin menurunnya produktivitas berakibat pada kemampuan pembangkit listrik. Pada lapangan panas bumi Ulumbu telah terjadi penurunan laju produksi dari tahun 2015-2020. Sehingga kemampuan pembangkit listrik menjadi menurun dan menyebabkan pengoperasian dari 4 x 2,5 MW menjadi 3 x 2,5 MW dengan penurun laju produksi sebesar 19,905 ton/hour, dan WHP sebesar 13,191 barg. Dan setelah dianalisa menggunakan data hasil pengukuran Multi Finger Caliper (MFC56C), pada pengukuran ini ditemukan permasalahan korosif dengan kadar 25% (cukup). Tidak ada permasalahan fatal pada sumur produksi yang berakibat pada penurunan laju produksi.

Mankind has suffered many deleterious consequences from improper waste management following the advent of industrialization and xenobiotic wastes. Although there are several methods for treating waste such as physical methods which includes; reuse, recycling and landfills of waste, but the use of biological agents is preferred. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are microbes employed for enhanced degradation strategy which has greater prospects over the wild microbes. These bacteria can persist and transfer the genes to other microbes resulting in unintended effects in microbial community. The development of bioluminescent suicidal GMOs could be a way out. The problem of virtual sensors design in linear and nonlinear systems is studied. The problems is solved in three steps: at the first step, the linear model invariant with respect to the disturbance is designed; at the second step, a possibility to take into account the nonlinear term and to estimate the given variable is checked; finally, stability of the observer is achieved. The relations allowing to design virtual sensor of minimal dimension estimating prescribed component of the state vector of the system are obtained. The theoretical results are illustrated by practical example.

To better understand its impact on various outcome domains, this study pursues the following: (1) longitudinal outcome assessments at three, six, and twelve months post-injury; (2) an evaluation of sociodemographic, premorbid, and injury-related factors, and functional recovery contributing to worsening or improving outcomes after TBI. Using patient-reported outcome measures, recuperation trends after TBI were identified by applying Multivariate Latent Class Mixed Models (MLCMM). Instruments were grouped into TBI-specific and generic health-related quality of life (HRQoL; QOLIBRI-OS, SF-12v2), and psychological and post-concussion symptoms (GAD-7, PHQ-9, PCL-5, RPQ). Multinomial logistic regressions were carried out to identify contributing factors. For both outcome sets, the four-class solution provided the best match between goodness of fit indices and meaningful clinical interpretability. Both models revealed similar trajectory classes: stable good health status (HRQoL: n = 1944; symptoms: n = 1963), persistent health impairments (HRQoL: n = 442; symptoms: n = 179), improving health status (HRQoL: n = 83; symptoms: n = 243), and deteriorating health status (HRQoL: n = 86; symptoms: n = 170). Compared to individuals with stable good health status, the other groups were more likely to have a lower functional recovery status at three months after TBI (i.e., the GOSE), psychological problems, and a lower educational attainment. Outcome trajectories after TBI show clearly distinguishable patterns which are reproducible across different measures. Individuals characterized by persistent health impairments and deterioration require special attention and long-term clinical monitoring and therapy.

Selection due to multi-generational domestication and genetically distinct origins raises concerns about potential fitness consequences of hybridization between farmed and wild Atlantic salmon. In Newfoundland (NF), Canada, the aquaculture industry uses the North American (NA) Saint John River strain, though site-specific permission has been granted to farm a European origin (EO) strain. We used complementary experiments to investigate differences in (1) dominance status and (2) growth and survival in allopatry (NF wild fish) versus sympatry (NF wild fish with NA/EO farmed individuals and related F1 hybrids) in contrasting tank and semi-natural stream environments. NA farmed salmon were more dominant than NF wild individuals, with hybrids being intermediate in expression and not differing from wild fish. EO farmed salmon also tended to dominate NF wild individuals, but not significantly. Competition with farmed fish and hybrids did not affect the growth of wild fish in sympatry versus allopatry in the tank environment. However, that was not the case in one instance in the stream environment where wild fish in sympatry with NA farmed fish and hybrids outgrew those in allopatry. Within sympatric treatments, both EO and NA farmed salmon outgrew wild individuals in the tank environment, but not always in the stream environment (exception: NA farmed). Hybrids tended to display intermediate growth performance relative to farmed and wild fish in both environments. Survival did not differ among cross types in either environment. These findings suggest that irrespective of distinct origins, both EO and NA farmed salmon displayed greater dominance and growth than NF wild salmon in the tank environment. However, in the stream environment, competition imposed by NA farmed fish and related hybrids on wild fish appeared less than that imposed by the EO strain and related hybrids, as evident in growth performance. Findings thus provide valuable insight into the effects of hybridization and, consequently, fitness-related trait differences among divergent EO and NA farmed, NF wild, and F1 hybrid populations of importance for the conservation and management of Atlantic salmon.

Semi-rigid connections are very economical compared to other connections because they can prevent the frame from breaking immediately due to brittleness without endangering the entire structure. Steel frame construction is one of the types of construction described in the building codes for simple seismic buildings. The research on the use of this semi-rigid connection uses one of the computer software that uses the finite element method, namely ANSYS ED.9, by taking validation models from experimental and manual calculation analysis and using 35 research models with different loads, positions and number of bolts and types of portal bracing. The ability to survive on the gantry due to side loads is dominated by the number and position of the bolts and the type of gantry stiffener used, this is evident from the different models, with the rise ratio in each model ranging from 0.7852 to 2.5900 and in ranges of softening compared to clamped stiffeners, which experience a decrease in stress, with the same ratio.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a huge decline in the global tourism industry, including Indonesia, that causes many businesses to close and people to lose their jobs. The objectives of this study are to identify the current business situation of Dusun Bambu, which includes analyzing the customer journey experience, knowing what aspects need to be improved to avoid any negative experiences. This study uses qualitative methods with video content observation and creating touchpoint templates. The results show that there are four out of seventeen touchpoints that give negative customer experiences and need to be improved. However, each of the seventeen touchpoints is given a solution to provide the customers with better experiences. In conclusion, the solutions were proposed along with the implementation plan, hoping to improve the business situation of Dusun Bambu

TQM practices are important to provide customer satisfaction by improved product performance and sustained towards the organizational goal. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between TQM practices, process innovation and employee performance. In this study, six critical success factors of TQM have been identified namely customer focus, leadership, training, teamwork, communication, and top management. Based on thorough literature review, employee performances have been measured by two constructs which are job satisfaction and workplace environment.The results revealed that not all TQM practices enhanced production workers’ job satisfaction. Only organization culture and teamwork showed a positive relationship with the production workers’ job satisfaction.

Voluntary employee turnover has caused considerable damage to small construction businesses, significantly affecting productivity, profitability, and sustainability. Based on job embeddedness theory, this qualitative multiple case study aimed to explore strategies small construction business owners use to reduce voluntary employee turnover. Participants were 4 successful small construction business owners in Virginia who successfully implemented strategies that reduced voluntary employee turnover by 75% over 5 years. Data were collected from company documents and semi-structured interviews. The three primary themes that emerged from the data analysis were; effective human resource management, favorable working conditions, and employee engagement. A key recommendation for small construction business owners is to improve human resource management, working conditions, and employee engagement. Reducing voluntary employee turnover is critical to business cost reduction and increasing key business processes’ performance. In addition, small construction business owners may use the results of this study to offer job stability to employees and increase families' and governments' incomes to realize some basic projects from revenue generated by employees’ vast career opportunities.

This study aims to obtain data on the impact of noise pollution by conducting a noise test from the operation of the PLTD and modeling it to get the noise impact hue. Finite element software modeling the impact of noise generated from the operation of PLTD to determine the hue of the noise impact. LISA, a popular finite element analysis application, was used to estimate and complete this study using the finite element model. Noise data retrieval, some data is carried out according to the engine power load during production and the machine stops with a certain distance reference to the affected area, namely residential areas, with a zone radius of up to 100 m from the machine point. The condition of the impact of noise exposure that occurs, where in general the area that has a major impact on settlements is a linear area of openings at the noise source because noise waste is free to come out of building openings without any obstacles. , so that the nominal sound impact that occurs without these obstacles, the average noise value is above the 70 dB.A threshold with the category of very disturbing.

Objectives There is no standardisation of tasks or measures for evaluation of freezing of gait severity in people with Parkinson's disease. This study aimed to develop a clinician-rated tool for freezing of gait severity (i.e. Freezing of Gait Severity Tool), through determining clinicians’ ratings of the most important triggering circumstances to be examined and aspects of freezing of gait to be measured. Design A three-round, web-based Delphi study. Participants Healthcare professionals, with at least five years’ experience in managing freezing of gait in people with Parkinson. Main outcome measures Round 1 required participants ( n = 28) to rate items on a 5-point Likert scale, based on priority for inclusion in the Freezing of Gait Severity Tool. In Round 2, participants ( n = 18) ranked the items based on priority for inclusion. In Round 3, participants ( n = 18) confirmed or rejected the shortlisted items by judging their ability, on a binary scale, to screen for freezing of gait, detect changes in freezing severity, and discriminate between degrees of severity. Results Participants agreed with the triggering circumstances of turning hesitation, narrow space hesitation, start hesitation, cognitive dual-tasking, and open space hesitation should be assessed; and the aspects of gait freezing to be measured included freezing type, number of freezing episodes during a task, and average duration of freezing episodes. Conclusions This study attained a consensus for the items to be included in a clinician-rated tool for freezing of gait severity. Future studies should investigate psychometric properties and clinical feasibility of the Freezing of Gait Severity Tool.

>The aim of the existing work is to develop and validate a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) technique for the quantitative determination of methylcobalamin in bulk and t formulations that is easy, rapid, precise, accurate, affordable, and sensitive. Proceeding a princeton (C18) column with dimensions (250 x 4.6 mm, 5 μ), the isocratic elution technique was used. The mobile buffer phase comprised water (pH 6.5, adjusted with sodium chloride) and methanol in the relation (55:45) v/v. It was shown that the methylcobalamin retention time was 2.022 minutes under ideal circumstances. The correlation coefficient (r2) for the 900–2400 mcg/mL methylcobalamin concentration range, which was used to verify the method’s linearity, was 0.9994. Methylcobalamin had a recovery rate of 99.98–100.01% and RSD of 2%. The marketed t formulation test was successfully completed with 99.86%. The proposed and validated approach underwent the accuracy, precision, specificity, linearity, and system suitability testing advised by the ICH. RP-HPLC was used in the market formulation.

Currently the area is not as popular as other areas and has not been touched by many people, the authenticity of its cultural and natural culture is still very well preserved, but in terms of human resources with economic life it is still in the underdeveloped category, because the potential possessed by this region has not been managed properly. Based on the fact that the area has great potential but is hampered due to unresolved problems. Through the anthropological aspect of this research, it seeks to find problems with the aim of developing tourism potential in Delang District. The research method will be carried out with a qualitative descriptive approach.

Antioksidan berperan penting dalam immunitas dan pencegahan kerusan jaringan, baik karena stress panas, penyakit, mauupun faktor usia ternak. Sumber antioksidan alami melalui pakan merupakan salah satu cara mencegah kerusakan jaringan dan peningkatan immunitas. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kapasitas total antioksidn ekstrak alami dari rumbuhan brokoli dan bawang putih. Sampel brokoli (B) dan Bawang Putih (BP) dikumpulkan dari Kebun Fitofarmaka yang dikembangkan oleh Balai Pengobatan Tradisional, Al Mustofa Sukabumi dan Kebun Apotek Kelompok Rumah Sehat, Ciganea, Purwakarta, Jawa Barat, digunakan sebagai bahan uji untuk menilai efektivitasnya sebagai antioksidan. Ekstraksi metanol dari kedua jenis tanaman ini ditentukan dalam percobaan ini. Konsentrasi ekstrak 0,35-0,95 digunakan untuk menguji kemampuan antioksidannya dengan metode TAC. Potensi apasitas antioksidan kedu tanamanan tersebut , berdasarkan hasil pengujian pada percobaan ini, terlihat bahwa tanaman B dan BP, keduanya memiliki potensi yang tinggi.

SummaryThe Brazilian Legal Amazon contains important reservoirs of forest that are threatened by stakeholders’ behaviour. The Cadastro Ambiental Rural (CAR; Rural Environmental Registry) database was used to define the limits and classes of landowner according to private property size. For each class, we identified the annual forest-cover/cover-loss profile at 2-year intervals from 2000 to 2020 based on Brazilian Annual Land Use and Land Cover Mapping Project (MapBiomas) and Program for Deforestation Monitoring (PRODES) data. The analysis revealed that very large landowners dominate the CAR-registered area and that deforestation is influenced by landowner type. The cumulative contributions to deforestation were 2 916 245.96, 1 234 216.79, 2 871 400.36, 2 805 058.62 and 2 637 485.60 ha for very large landowners, large landowners, medium landowners, small landowners and very small landowners, respectively. Very large landowners (1.7% of the total number of properties) had more forest on their properties but caused the greatest amount of deforestation in total, often associated with agribusiness. Small and very small landowners were more numerous (21.0% and 68.3% of the total number of properties, respectively), but they owned a small total area and contributed less to total deforestation. Property size and landownership asymmetry should be considered in deforestation control policies and commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals agenda.

The escape of domesticated Atlantic salmon Salmo salar from aquaculture facilities represents a continued threat to the genetic and demographic stability of wild salmon stocks. Escaped farm-origin salmon have been shown to hybridize with wild conspecifics, yet the long-term genetic impacts are generally unknown. Theoretically, life history variation, specifically precocial maturation of male hybrids, could fast-track introgression, but evidence for this has been sparse. Here, we used empirical and experimental data to examine the role of precocious male maturation in introgression. We examined hybrid class composition using juvenile sampling and genetic assignment over a 5 yr period following an escape event in southern Newfoundland, a region with high rates of natural male precocial maturation. Initially following the escape, the proportion of first-generation (F1) hybrids was high and then decreased annually, contrasting the proportion of backcross wild individuals, which increased over time. The presence and temporal distribution of backcross wild individuals supports the hypothesis that high rates of precocial maturation can fast-track the long-term impacts of escaped farmed salmon on wild populations via interbreeding. This was experimentally tested using lab-created wild, farmed, and F1 parr released and recaptured from a Newfoundland river to assess levels of precocious male maturation. Observed rates of maturation of F1 hybrids were high and similar to wild parr (77 vs. 73%, respectively), indicating that most F1 hybrids mature precocially. Our results suggest that rates of precocial male maturation should be explicitly considered in risk assessments evaluating the genetic impacts of escaped farmed salmon on wild populations.

This study analyzes the Effect of Gross Domestic Product, Inflation, Interest Rates, and Exchange Rates on IDX30 during the Covid-19 pandemic period from January 2019 – December 2021. Quantitative Research Methods are carried out using the Vector Errors Correction Models (VECM) Method. The results of this study are to determine the effect of Gross Domestic Product on IDX30, the effect of Inflation on IDX30, the effect of Interest Rates on IDX30, and the effect of Exchange Rate on IDX30. From the results of the VECM analysis, it can be seen that GDP, Inflation, and Exchange Rates have a negative effect on IDX30 for the short and long term during the Covid-19 pandemic, in contrast Interest Rates have a positive effect on IDX30 for the short and long term during the pandemic. The effects of climate change and other weather-related disasters pose a high additional risk to the agricultural sector. This study carried out a rigorous assessment of empirical scientific research on weather-index insurance and its impact on smallholder maize farmers’ welfare and productivity. A three-stage analytical approach was used to analyze trends in related research, and available policy implications, between 1990 and 2019. Lessons from the top 10 most cited weather-index insurance related studies revealed that insurance can enhance outcomes, protect farmers’ investments and reduce rural poverty, especially during the event of negative shocks (such as drought). The findings showed that developed countries (USA, Germany and China) have the most single- and multiple-country publications, while developing countries (Zimbabwe and Kenya) have gained little attention through article citations in weather-index insurance research. The USA, the UK, Germany and South Africa were found to have a strong international collaboration network. The dominance of developed countries was found to be linked to strong financial backing provided by the government to undertake studies in the field of weather-index insurance and climate change. While there is considerable global attention given to weather-index insurance, smallholder farmers’ welfare and maize productivity studies, results reveal that there is still low adoption of the weather-index insurance adaptation strategy in African countries. Thus, this study suggests that financial policies that support and enhance weather-index insurance uptake are needed in developing countries to protect emerging farmers against weather risks and to improve farmers’ livelihoods.

This anchor block behavior study is to find out the major stress information occurring in the anchor block elements. In this research, the researcher refers to the Circular Letter of Design Criteria for Rigid Symmetrical Pedestrian Suspension Bridge, and conducts structural modeling using the finite element method-LISA program on anchor blocks. Condition of the anchor block after receiving the appropriate tensile force from the round table at a span of 96 meters, the tensile force of the suspension bridge cable is 664.6 kN, resulting in a stress of 6.184 N/mm2 on the concrete surface of the anchor block using the concrete grade is fc 30 MPa, in the suspension cable of the bridge there is a tension of 22.26 N/mm2 at the point of work. The results of the analysis of the anchor block used on the Tuak River Suspension Bridge with a span of 96 m can meet the required criteria, namely the axial load-bearing capacity, which is greater than the maximum axial force that occurs in the Borpile configuration. In the analysis of the finite element method using the LISA FEA device, a significant stress occurs in the anchor block section with the suspension bridge cable as shown in Figure 9, this occurs because of the large tensile force on the suspension bridge cable and the ability of the anchor block to remain in a stable condition is known.

The article deals with the physical foundations and a set of issues on the technology of seismic location of oil and gas (SLONG) related to the seismic impact on productive formations, their emission of emission waves and the method of their isolation during the processing of seismic profiles of CDP-2D. It is shown that the main effect of seismic impact is the occurrence (growth) of fracturing, in which the radiation of high-frequency vibrations by the formation is associated with the formation of shear microcracks, and low-frequency (relative to the frequency of impact) with plastic deformation of the reservoir sections, accompanied by vibrations from ground-based emitters. The method of processing of seismic materials CDP-2D and the method of isolation of radiation areas by a productive layer of low-frequency emission waves are considered. Examples of processing of six profiles of CDP-2D using the considered SLONG technology are given, which indicate the consistency of the results obtained and the possibility of using them to assess the oil and gas prospects of objects. The possibility of using SLONG to search for non-standard hydrocarbon traps is postulated.

Heart failure is one of the cardiovascular spectrum and a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a supporting examination in diagnosing heart failure. This study aims to determine the description of ECG abnormalities in adult heart failure patients in RSUD DR. M. Haulussy Ambon City in 2019-2021. This research is a descriptive study with a cross sectional design and 126 samples were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the most ECG abnormalities were T inverted 37.3%, pathological Q 31%, prolonged QT interval 25.4%, LVH 23.8%, atrial fibrillation 19.8%, poor R wave 13.5%. , ST depression 12.7%, AV block grade 1 10.3%, ventricular extra systole/premature ventricular contraction 9.5%, ST elevation 8.7%, sinus tachycardia 6.3%, left atrial enlargement 5.6% , sinus bradycardia 4%, complete RBBB 4%, atrial extra systole/premature atrial contraction 3.2, complete LBBB 2.4%, incomplete LBBB 2.4%, AV block grade 2 type 1 1.6%, microvoltage 1, 6%, RVH 0.8%, and supraventricular tachycardy 0.8%.

Interferon-induced transmembrane protein 3 (IFITM3) is a restriction factor that limits viral pathogenesis and exerts poorly understood immunoregulatory functions. Here, using human and mouse models, we demonstrate that IFITM3 promotes MyD88-dependent, TLR-mediated IL-6 production following exposure to cytomegalovirus (CMV). IFITM3 also restricts IL-6 production in response to influenza and SARS-CoV-2. In dendritic cells, IFITM3 binds to the reticulon 4 isoform Nogo-B and promotes its proteasomal degradation. We reveal that Nogo-B mediates TLR-dependent pro-inflammatory cytokine production and promotes viral pathogenesis in vivo, and in the case of TLR2 responses, this process involves alteration of TLR2 cellular localization. Nogo-B deletion abrogates inflammatory cytokine responses and associated disease in virus-infected IFITM3-deficient mice. Thus, we uncover Nogo-B as a driver of viral pathogenesis and highlight an immunoregulatory pathway in which IFITM3 fine-tunes the responsiveness of myeloid cells to viral stimulation.
