Abstract

Human Computer Interaction (HCI) research supports the proposition that the addition of audio displays can reduce subjective workload. With the growing use of touchscreen displays and the increasing of complexity interface, the addition of audio display is expected to reduce users’ workload. This study intended to develop an additional audio system which can be handily manipulated by users who need. A dedicated graphic audio switch was adapted at the corner of screen. Users may initiate audio output by dragging the audio switch to the icon where he/she would like to listen to the audio instructions. Farther detail instructions will be prompted if the user ‘long press’ the transparently overlapped audio switch. To test the feasibility of the additional audio system, an experiment was carried out by testing 15 respondents including different visual status groups. The result indicates that there are 13 respondents consider the auditory interface is an effective auxiliary and confirm its feasibility.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is an attempt to present a mixed model based on the residual income valuation model, where two new factors, business cycles and financial items, are added. We offer a practical investment opinion by which investors and fundamental analysts can either establish or adjust their portfolios if there is an effort made to reverse the present economic atmosphere due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We find that the items in financial reports don’t have the same impacts for different business cycles. However, tax has a significantly positive sign when economies are expanding or contracting.

Abstract

Findings outlined here support a complex model for the regulation of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) Cl channel gating that incorporates incremental protein kinase A (PKA) phosphorylation of CFTR at multiple sites which, in turn, differentially control the activity of CFTR's two nucleotide-binding domains (NBDs). The NBDs are functionally distinct: only one can respond to the non-hydrolyzable ATP analogue AMP-PNP, and then only after ATP has acted at the other. Moreover, the nature of the responses to AMP-PNP, and to the inorganic phosphate analogue orthovanadate, argues that ATP hydrolysis normally occurs at both NBDs, at one to initiate channel opening and at the other to initiate closing.
