A low-profile, conjoined and yet decoupled two-monopole design for Wi-Fi 6E notebook applications is presented. The single monopole antenna has a small size of 4 mm × 18.7 mm. The antenna is composed of a two-branched monopole with two shorting inductors for producing the 5 GHz (5150–5825 MHz) and 6 GHz (5925–7125 MHz) bands, and an inductor loaded at one branch end and connecting to a tuning portion for 2.4 GHz (2400–2484 MHz) operation. Two symmetrical monopoles are further conjoined by a chip inductor that connects the open ends of the tuning portions, forming a compact footprint of 4 mm × 38.4 mm for the two-notebook antenna design. With the use of the decoupling inductor and a proper two-monopole arrangement, acceptable isolation and a low envelop correlation coefficient (ECC) can be attained.

This paper studies the stability and hidden dynamics of the nonlinear hydro-turbine governing system with an output limiting link. A new six-dimensional system, which exhibits some hidden attractors, is proposed in this work. The parameter switching algorithm is used to numerically study the dynamic behaviors of the system. Moreover,it is investigated that for some parameters the system with a stable equilibrium point can generate strange hidden attractors. A self-excited attractor is also recognized with the change of its parameters. In addition, numerical simulations are carried out to analyze the dynamic behaviors of the proposed system using the Lyapunov exponential spectrums, Lyapunov dimensions, bifurcation diagrams, phase space orbits, and basins of attraction. Consequently, the findings of this work show that the basins of hidden attractors are tiny for which the standard computational procedure for localization is unavailable. These simulation results help to have better understanding of hidden chaotic attractors in higher-dimensional dynamical systems.It is also of great significance to reveal chaotic oscillations such as uncontrolled speed adjustment in the operation of hydropower station due to small changes in initial values.

The recently synthesized air-insensitive hydrogen doped KCr$_3$As$_3$ superconductor has aroused great research interests. This material has, for the first time in the research area of the quasi-one-dimensional Cr-based superconductivity (SC), realized a tunability through charge doping, which will potentially significantly push the development of this area. Here based on the band structure from first-principle calculations, we construct a six-band tight-binding (TB) model equipped with multi-orbital Hubbard interactions, and adopt the random-phase-approximation approach to study the hydrogen-doping dependence of the pairing symmetry and superconducting $T_c$. Under the rigid-band approximation, our pairing phase diagram is occupied by the triplet $p_z$-wave pairing through out the hydrogen-doping regime $x\in (0.4,1)$ in which SC has been experimentally detected. Remarkably, the $x$-dependence of $T_c$ shows a peak at the 3D-quasi-1D Lifshitz transition point, although the total density of state exhibit a dip there. A thorough investigation of the band structure reveals type-II van-Hove singularities (VHSs) in the $\gamma$ band, which favor the formation of the triplet SC. It turns out that the $\gamma$- Fermi surface (FS) comprises two flat quasi-1D FS sheets almost parallel to the $k_z=0$ plane and six almost perpendicular tube-like FS sheets, and the type-II VHS just lies in the boundary between these two FS parts. Furthermore, the $\left|k_z\right|$ of the VH planes reaches the maximum near the Lifshitz-transition point, which pushes the $T_c$ of the $p_z$-wave SC to the maximum. This work introduces the concept of camera handling for a 360 camera and proposes Director-360, a 360 camera enhanced with two novel handling techniques. Pointer and field-of-view (FoV) are designed to explicitly and implicitly capture the 360 photographer’s subject of interest within the 360 media at capture time. Pointer lets users specify a subject of interest about the scene by directly pointing the 360 camera as if using the camera as a flashlight, while FoV captures the user’s subject of interest within the 360 scene by mapping the user’s face direction to the 360 media. We described an implementation using deep-learning algorithms. We also presented the Director-360 Editor, which incorporates the handling data to streamline the post-editing process. To understand how Director-360 helps to compose 360 media, a pilot study was carried out to create video storytelling in three target scenarios. The results and user feedback from a pilot study were reported.

This study presents as a novel rice bran (RB) treatment method for gluten modification. The effects of the method on viscoelastic, and antioxidant properties, as well as the structure of wheat gluten were investigated. RB treatment improved the viscoelastic properties and antioxidant activities (Oxygen radical absorbance capacity and DPPH radical scavenging activity) of modified gluten. Additionally, the modified gluten showed a higher polyphenols content (especially bound polyphenols) and higher percentage of branched chain amino acids compared to control gluten. RB treatment achieved these effect by triggering aggregation of gluten and reaction between amino (-NH2) groups of lysine of gluten proteins and RB polyphenols thereby strengthening its network structure and changing its fluorescence. Moreover, increase in β-turn conformation proved the improvement of gluten aggregation. This study demonstrates that RB treatment modifies the characterization of gluten, and this approach reduces the cost of producing modified gluten and promotes the utilization of RB.

Based on the influence of the sensitivity and gain control of the photoelectric detector on the dynamic range of the laser seeker, a method for improving the dynamic range of the laser seeker was presented. Firstly the test for measuring the saturated amplitude was built, The influence of sensitivity and saturation amplitude on dynamic range of seeker were obtained; Secondly the relationship between sensitivity, saturation amplitude, gain control and dynamic range were analyzed in theory, and the method for avoiding the saturation of the detector in the process of gain control was designed. The results indicated the method that avoided output voltage of the detector saturated in advance could meet the 5V gain control of the seeker with a dynamic range of more than 90dB.

A calibration method of workpiece frames using twin-robot is presented in this paper. Path planning for workpiece is based on its frame. Thus, the workpiece frames of two robots should be calibrated to make sure the motion of the twin-robot is under the same coordinate system. However, when twin-robot are separated from the workpiece, the twin-robot cannot reach some calibration points on workpiece at the same time. So a new method is proposed to solve the problem. The translation and rotation matrices between the base frames of two robots can be obtained by measuring the coordinate values of any three non-collinear points in working space. When only one robot can actually reach the calibration point of the workpiece frame, the coordinate value of this point in another robot base frame can be obtained by the matrices calculation. Experiment results show that the calibration method is relatively precision and convenient.

This study developed an easily-used system for designing a transtibial socket that will be fabricated by a rapid prototyping (RP) machine. This proposed system is to improve the quality of uncertainty of plaster-based process of fabricating thetranstibial socket. In this study, the concept of total surface bearing (TSB) is employed to obtain stump model of an amputee under appropriate pressure. Using TSB stump model, editing complex surface can be avoided, and the quality of sockets can be improved by the simplified design process. In the plaster-based production process, the plaster stump mold must be destroyed in order to fabricate a prosthetic socket. If a socket should be reproduced, it will be difficult to clearly point out the difference between the previous and the new stump molds. If a proper CAD system can be used, the difficulty of reproducing a socket will be easily resolved. Currently, manufacturing RP sockets is not an important issue as a convenient RP service bureau already exists. ...

A thin dipole antenna is a well-known antenna with linearly polarized wave operation. In this work, a wide-strip dipole antenna is proposed for circularly polarized wave operations. To obtain circularly polarized (CP) wave operations, there are two conditions to be satisfled. One is that the antenna must have two degenerated orthogonal modes with difierent resonant frequencies. The other is that the phase difierence of two orthogonal modes is 90 degrees. To match the flrst condition, the slab width W is tuned to generate current distributions directed in two difierent directions. In addition, the second condition is matched by asymmetric feeding point by adjusting the overlapped square width C. The parametric study is completed by the Ansoft HFSS simulator. Simulated results reveal that the CP wave is mainly in∞uenced by the slab width W. The in∞uences of the parameters C and d on the performances of the proposed antenna are also investigated in this paper. Taking i8dB as reference, there are two working bands for this proposed antenna and the measured center frequencies are 0.66GHz and 2.04GHz, respectively, and the corresponding bandwidths are 0.27GHz (40%) and 1.78GHz (87%), respectively. In addition, the measured center frequencies and bandwidths of the axial ratio are 1.94GHz and 0.53GHz (27%), respectively.

The Gossypium (cotton) genus is cultivated for their valuable production of elongated single-celled fibres initiated from ovule epidermal cells, which sustain one of the world’s largest textile industries textiles economically. Upland cotton ( Gossypium hirsutum L.) is widely grown in the People’s Republic of China, the United States, Australia, India, Pakistan and other countries in Central Asia and South America for its high yield and good fibre quality that contributed to over 90% of world’s cotton lint production, and allotetraploidy with 52 chromosomes (AADD, 2 n =4 x =52) has very complex genome of about 2.4 Gb derived of paleopolyploidy to increase 5–6-fold ploidy. The value of cotton depends on the fibre (lint) enriched by cellulose. The developmental programme of cotton fibre is highly susceptible to environmental factors in long span from single cells initiation, elongation to maturity, certainly mainly regulated by endogenous genes perhaps involved thousands of genes. Recently, the genome of G. raimondii with D genome as putative contributor to fibre-producing cotton species including G. hirsutum and G. barbadense was sequenced and assembled, which provides reference to assemble EST sequences and analyse the phylogeny, chromosomal location, gene structure, conserved domains and expression profiling. The sequence of D genome could be assisted as reference to scan and identify genes from allotetraploid cotton Biotechnology is the present and the future of cotton breeding. Applications of biotechnology have made great progress in the creation of novel germplasm, improved fibres and the creation of herbicide-resistant cotton and disease tolerant cotton, especially insect-resistant cotton such as Bt cotton. So we believe that the breakthroughs in cotton genomics and applications of biotechnology will bring new vitality to cotton breeding.

The high-temperature piezoelectric crystal Ga3PO7is a versatile functional material widely used in many electromechanical devices. As the Curie temperature of this crystal is as high as 1346 ℃, it can break through the current temperature limitations(1200 ℃) and then be used in extremely high-temperature condition. However, it is very difficult to explore its properties in such a high-temperature environment. Moreover, the relevant theoretical research has not been reported to date. Aiming at this problem, the density function theory combined with quasi harmonic approximation theory is used to investigate the structural, thermal and surface acoustic wave (SAW) properties of Ga3PO7. Firstly, the Gibbs energies of Ga3PO7 crystal with different stains are calculated, and the equilibrium structures of Ga3PO7 crystal at different temperatures (from 0 ℃ to 1200 ℃) are found according to minimal energy principle. Secondly, based on the result above, we optimize Ga3PO7 crystal at different temperatures, and then, the thermal and elastic properties of Ga3PO7 crystal within 0-1200 ℃ are calculated using CASTEP package based on the density functional theory in the generalized gradient approximation. The results show that its lattice constants increase almost linearly as temperature increases while its density decreases. Owing to anisotropy, its lattice constant along the c axis increases much more greatly than along the a axis. The coefficients of thermal expansion along the a and c axis are evaluated to be 1.6710-6 K-1 and 3.5810-6 K-1, respectively, and the volumetric heat capacity is evaluated to be 2.067 J/gK. These values all agree well with the experimental values. Finally, the elastic constants, bulk modulus and SAW properties of Ga3PO7 crystal at different temperatures (from 0 ℃ to 1200 ℃) are calculated. The results show that the bulk modulus can reach 175 GPa, and it changes very little as temperature increases. The fluctuation of elastic constants has slight influences on SAW velocity and the electric-mechanical coupling factor. When the propagation angle is 151, it possesses the stablest SAW properties and the largest electric-mechanical coupling factor which can reach 0.7%. The comprehensive analyses of the thermal, mechanical and SAW properties show that Y-cut Ga3PO7 possesses a greater potential application in high temperature environment.

The paper presents an LCA study to discuss the environmental impact and economic performance for the leasing of a water filtration device. A proposed leasing program was evaluated and compared to the traditional sell model. The results show that the most contribution of environmental impacts occurs in the use stage, which contributed approximately 36% of total impact. In terms of economical performance, through maintenance, leasing model extended the life of components and reduced the number of components being manufactured and assembled, which could lower the cost of manufacturing. However, with the increase in service transport stage, cost slightly increased. Consequently, as compared with traditional sell model, leasing model could reduce approximately 24% of total cost which concluded high feasibility of PSS. In EEI analysis, the benefit which PSS enhanced is positive as it compared to the traditional sell model. The proposed leasing model displays the positive benefit in both environment and economic success.

The evaluation of roundness based on the maximum inscribed circle method is an important method suitable for the circle with the maximum material condition like an internal bore. The maximum inscribed circle is determined by three data points according to the criteria of the maximum inscribed circle. The mathematical formulae has been developed for the establishment of the center of the maximum inscribed circle. A quick algorithm has been proposed for solving maximum inscribed circle. There is no principle error or method error in the results calculated by the formulae. Three examples are given in the paper. The validated results show that the method gives an efficient approach to solve the roundness problems on the maximum inscribed circle, especially when the number of data points is large.

This paper is on the design and implementation of a signal processing system for ground surveillance radar. Hardware structure of the signal processing system based on TI's chip TMS320C6416 as well as interfaces among hardware modules are designed. Global frame of system software is analyzed, and some key techniques are presented. This radar has great capabilities of antijamming and Low Probability Intercept(LPI), due to multiple Pulse Repetition Frequency(PRF) and biphase codes. Experimental results present that it is able to detect the interested target under complicated environments and track it steadily.

Based on some special physical properties of solar cells prepared from quantum dots polymeric materials, which have high photoelectric conversion performance, we use MOPPV solution for obtaining controllable grain sizes, good crystallinity, with a particle size of about 3.75 nm ZnSe quantum dot polymer composite materials, and different quality ratios of the composites. We also use XRD, TEM, UV-vis absorption spectra to study the characterizstics of the materials. The result shows that MOPPV and ZnSe quantum dots have effectively combined together and photoinduced charge transfer. Through the study of MOPPV, ZnSe, and MOPPV/ZnSe composite materal solar cell performance, we found that the composites exhibit an increasing trend compared with MOPPV, ZnSe monomer material photovoltaic characteristics, and the photoelectric properties of the composites showed an increase at first and then reduced with increasing quality of ZnSe quantum dots; when the ratio of MOPPV and the quality of the ZnSe is 1:1, its conversion efficiency reaches a maximum, The Voc, Isc, FF and conversion efficiency of solar cells were 0.516 V, 2.018 mA, 25.53%, and 0.167%.
