The researcher carried out a study of the relationship between environmental stress, marital communication and marital adjustment in couples. She also studied the differences between process in the mentioned variables. The sample consisted of (30) husbands and (30) wives. the researcher applied the environmental stress, marital communication, and marital adjustment scales. The result showed that: 1) There is no significant difference between spouses in marital adjustment. 2) There is statistically significant difference between spouses in environmental stress in the take of husbands. 3) Wives are statistically significant higher in communication skills. 4) There is a negative statistically significant correlation between environmental stress and marital adjustment. 5) There is a negative statistically significant correlation between environmental stress and marital communication. 6) There is a positive statistically significant correlation between marital communication and marital adjustment.
